American Dust
Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (disappointed) 『I gave Awesome Color's debut high marks, but this record does little to nothing to make good on that records promise. The opening track "Eyes Of Light" is the standout, but much of the following record just reminds me of lots of other bad, 70's derivative blues-based rock. The debut screamed "STOOGES!" - this one is closer to "FOGHAT!" - and not even as interesting as that. They've made zero efforts to make their arrangements more interesting, nothing.
Bummer.』 『Vinyl LP pressing of the third album from the Brooklyn power trio. Awesome Color is a group of noise provocateurs and impressionists, ace players with Punk rock flair, inspired citizens of a small modernist nation of musical, visual, and literary outrage on the outskirts of Brooklyn, or a rainbow amalgam of all of the above at once. Following a non-stop touring schedule after their debut release (including stints with Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth in the US, UK, and Europe), the band took their honed brand of turbo chemistry into the studio and created the highly anticipated Electric Aborigines. American Dust.』
IPhone 3G used's review (GOTTA LOVE YOUR OL' SCHOOL) 『I LOVE THIS ALBUM. IT BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF MY CHILDHOOD. GREAT SONGS AND AN OVERALL GREAT ALBUM』
(Dated, but packed with '90s Goodness!) 『Listening to this in 2007, it sounds very obviously dated, but still, its a telling remnant of the early 1990s soundscape. The great part about this is that it has two songs that STILL sound amazing - "I Adore Mi Amor" and "Thinkin' Back", while most of the others sound very, very generic.
The early 90s pop machine was a strange thing indeed - much of it sounds terrible today. But this album still stands out because of its high hit quotient (six Billboard Hot 100 singles - a remarkable achievement).
Should you buy this? Yes. Its definitely more memorable than the later days output of say, the Backstreet Boys - but if you're looking for some wholesome 1990s goodness, you can do much worse than this.』
(COLOR WHO WHAT??!) 『oh baby, this is precious, someone here is actually comparing CMB to The Beatles?!?! Is that why CMB's CD is selling for a whopping 21 cents? I'd love to continue but the urge for uncontrollable laughter is just way too much, ha ha ha ha ha ha..........』
(Color them badd.) 『Most likely when someone tosses out the term boy-band, N'Sync or Backstreet Boys come to mind. However, Color Me Badd was doing their thing years before those two groups, and much better. Ok, so New Kids On The Block were around too, but they weren't as badd. These guys have a "Best Of" out also, but the best of that is basically right on this album. Included is their biggest hit "I Wanna Sex You Up". That track was in the movie "New Jack City", and is also here in reprise form. Other hits were "I Adore Mi Amore", "Thinkin' Back", and the extremely catchy "All 4 Love". The bottom line is that these guys were so badd they were good, and where else are you gonna get George Michael, Terence Trent D'Arby, Vanilla Ice, and Kenny G on the same album?』
(One of My all-time favorites!) 『Way back in 1992 I first listened to Color Me Badd and ever since I have loved their music! What I like about them is their great voices and the cool variety of music mixed in with an urban feel. My favorite singer of the band is Mark Calderon. He has such a wonderful voice and I love the songs that he has a good amount of time singing in. If you love Color Me Badd or love to hear a band that you are not familiar with then I strongly recommend that your purchase this CD today!』

IPhone 3G used's review (Surprisingly Well Done - Will Stick With You) 『This soundtrack does not deserve the two stars it currently holds as I write this. Please, people - Olivia Newton John's "Please Mr. Please" can be found on other albums. Check the track listing before you buy if you're buying for a specific song.
In this soundtrack, Ry Cooder does a fabulous job of portraying the highs and lows of a presidential campaign and the roller coaster of President Clinton's first successful run at the nation's most prestigious office. At times optimistic, and at times despairing, Cooder's themes in this album are profound - yet are memorable mostly because of their simplicity. The "Don't Break Our Hearts" theme is astounding, - it somehow manages to be naive and hopeful, while at the same time quite melancholy. Throw in some fun waltzes, a little bit of funk, and Camptown Races, and it's a great and varied score.
That being said, it feels rather short and somewhat repetitive. But I regularly find myself whistling these tunes. This album is at *least* worth buying it used for the $0.73 it's currently running for. Check it out!

(missing song?) 『There was a song in the movie, I can't remember exact point, but it sounded like Lisa Gerrard. Can anyone back me up on this?

(Disappointed) 『I am disappointed that Olivia Newton-John's song "Please, Mr. Please" was not included in this soundtrack. I was hoping it would be even though Olivia's other song, "Over the Rainbow" wasn't included in the Face/Off soundtrack either. Oh well, otherwise it is a fair soundtrack, after all the movie was excellent.』

(color me brilliant) 『what can one say about this album other than wow. the raw sexual overtones and sheer vocal harmony is something that one gets to experance once in a life time. "i wanna sex you up" not only changed my life, it made my life.Mozart and bach step aside because there is a new defination of classical music and it is color me bad. hundreds of years when people look back at the 90's three words that will come to mind COLOR ME BAD.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Awesome!) 『This CD is fabulous! A must have for the CMB enthusiest!
Sexual Capacity, The Earth The Sun The Rain and Tonite Tonite are by far the best tracks on the album but all are well done. This group of guys can SING!
I HIGHLY recommend!
(...)』
(Great Album) 『This album was liked so much by my wife and I, that we used "The Earth, The Sun, The Rain, for our wedding song.』
(Better than 5 stars!) 『This album is just great! I love it so much ,even though it's old but it's a wonderful CD with great songs that can never ever get old :)...They really know how to sing good love songs...they are very talented and I hope they never ever stop singing!』
(The coolest album ever) 『This album is a must buy, sexual capacity is the greatest song ever, I just can't stop listening to it...and of course all their other songs are great too...they are talented singers.』

(Great Faces) 『This was onw of the first Barney DVD's my twins really loved. They couldn't talk yet but they had lots of fun making all the funny faces that they show in the DVD. My husband and I laughed and laughed at there attempts to immitate the characters. This is a great one and one of our favorites...we have watched almost everyone made.』
(GREAT SHOW) 『MY 2 YEAR OLD SON LOVES BARNEY, BUT IS VERY PARTICULAR ON WHICH ONES HE WILL WATCH. THIS ONE GAINED HIS APPROVAL FROM THE VERY FIRST VIEWING. HAPPY MAD SILLY SAD IS THE ONLY BARNEY DVD THAT HE WILL WATCH IN THE CAR. SO I WOULD SAY THAT THIS BARNEY IS WELL WORTH BUYING.』
(This is just the TV show!) 『I was expecting this to be like other Barney videotapes but it's only an episode of the PBS television show. I'm not happy about paying money for what I could have taped off the air for free.』
(Disappointing for a Barney video) 『My 2 year old daughter is a major Barney fan and we have most of the Barney videos on either VHS or DVD. I was looking forward to getting this DVD because of the subject matter, but I have to say, after a couple of viewings, it's a major disappointment.
The DVD seems to be kind of thrown together, the production values aren't the greatest, and the kids aren't especially interesting. My daughter has wandered off after a few minutes both times we've watched this one (which is rare - she's usually glued to the TV when Barney is on!)
We're still fans of Barney and of many of his videos...just not this one.』
『Love makes Barney's world go 'round, and the huggable dinosaur encourages his friends to express and understand their emotions in healthy ways. From creating masks to decorating a "Friends&Family Tree" with hearts, Barney uses fun songs and games to help his friends get in touch with their feelings. And he reminds them that manners, sharing and taking turns are great ways to show you care about others. It's always a happy day of fun and learning when you spend it with Barney and his friends.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Great Debut.) 『I saw this trio opening up for Dinosaur Jr in Chicago June 1st of 2007. Their sound blew me away...Unbelievable guitar riffs and the drummer was insanely great. Bought the CD after the set and it does not dissappoint. Cannot wait for the follow up. This CD is good but check them out live if you can.』
(Decent) 『Yes, as one reviewer put it on this page, this album is reminiscent of the Stooges. No matter, the album is very much listenable. Somehow, I got a feeling that this debut album is a prelude to something stronger and more substantial.』
(derivative? yes. still really good? yes.) 『yes, they sound much like The Stooges. in my opinion, though, they're one of the few bands that's ever managed to really pull it off convincingly. it doesn't sound forced or contrived. the guitar work is especially ripping. ol' Thurston picked a winner with this one.』
