IPhone 3G used's review (Fun and Funky) 『HandMC has been one of my favorite J-Rock bands for a while now so I was ecstatic to get this cd as a gift for my birthday.
The songs are loud and energetic, perfect for when you have to clean your room or do other chores. You'll find yourself dancing around like a maniac.』
(High and Might Color) 『This cd High and Mighty Color GO ON Progressive is a very, VERY GOOD Cd it is definitely worth the money any one who likes J-Pop and or High and Mighty Color you have to buy this CD it ROCKS. I like every song on the Cd all of them are good and it shows you a different side of High and Mighty Color some of the songs are kind of like Ichirin No Hana some have that same feel as that song but others take on a different approach so anyone looking at this review should buy this Cd.』

The emotional range is so gorgeous and yet so soothing. I take it with me whenever I go to acupuncture. Ahhhh. I know my chi will flow better just listening to it. I love listening to the koto anyway, and this way it, where it is a tunned a little more to suit the Western ear, it is divine.』
(Haunting, melodic) 『This album will transport you to a quiet space on mossy banks under the falling red leaves of a Japanese maple. Mizuyo's contemporary koto respects the traditions that engendered it and avoids new-age smugness. It deserves repeated listening. A lovely album and companion to her Buddhist-chant inspired Uttara. I had to shop in Tokyo to find these, so I'm delighted they are available in the U.S. through Amazon.com.』

(It grazed my cheek like a gentle wind.) 『I listened to this CD in Jukebox and decided I must have it yesterday. So calming, such beauty, how blessed this artist is to have such a talent.』 『You can feel nature alive in the sound of the koto. Let its soothing energy surround and nurture you.
Most kotos have 13 strings, but the recordings for this album were made with a 25-stringed koto, and in its chords, one can hear sounds of refreshing spring breezes. There is a wide range of notes from the upper and lower registers of the instrument, and as such, it may at times remind you of the harp. The combination of notes produced by the 25 strings springing into the air and disappearing as they go is certain to let you forget your stress and tension, and allow you to enjoy a time of relaxation and ease.
To enhance your enjoyment of the music, fragrant incense sticks are included in the spine of the CD jewel case.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Some, but not all) 『This is a budget "best of." The sound is not the best in the world. There are some of their great songs, but many that are not here. What is needed is a true "best of" done up like the remaster "Vivid" CD.』
(great intro to living colour) 『Living coulour was definetely a great unique heavy metal band. Their style really hasn't been matched. Super hits really provides a good summary of their career with songs like pride, open letter to the landlord, and pride. There is also a cover a jimi hendrix's burning the midnight lamp. Hopefully this album will show how why living colour is such an important band.』
(Budget-Line Greatest Hits Collection) 『This is an interesting, if nonesssential budget-CD greatest-hits compo with their cover of Hendrix's "Burning Of The Midnight Lamp" which is not available on any other release. Its a decent intro, and contains the absolute barest essentials from _Vivid_ but the selection from _Time's Up_ ... and only one song from _Stain_ leaves something to be desired. Still worth picking up for fans if you dont have the Hendrix cover elsewhere - plus its dirt cheap.』
(Living Colour "ROCKS") 『Vivid and Pride have a much better arangement, but practically all the hits are here on this one cd. If I were you, I would buy them all. I have them. You just cant go wrong with Living Colour. The brilliant guitar of Vernon Reid, the soulful lyrics of Corey Glover. Yes, its not Vivid or Pride, but for the price, its worth getting to ad to your collection....Its Living Colour isnt it?』
(Greatest Hits?) 『Living Color is one of my all-time favorite groups but this collection can hardly be called a "greatest hits" package.
If you are looking for a cd that showcases the diversity of the band's musical influences, I suggest you buy PRIDE instead. Not only does it contains many of these "super hits" but also some previously unreleased tracks and other omissions like:
"Love Rears Its Ugly Head", "Memories Can't Wait", "Funny Vibe", "Glamour Boys", "Solace Of You" and "What's Your Favorite Color?"
I have no idea why the record company would even bother releasing this half-baked disk when PRIDE is available for the same price. In any case, this is a great band that deserves your unbiased ear.』

...beautiful music from a beautiful band for a beautiful world.
p.s. i get to see these guys play live tomorrow』
(they'll never make the same album twice) 『this is one of my new favorite bands right now. i found out about them a bit after their first cd came out and i fell in love with that entire album. when the second one came out i didnt enjoy at first, but eventually at times enjoyed it more than the first. and i knew that with this album the band would take on yet another new sound, but while still keeping it portugal. i was very excited to hear this, and was definitly not dissapointed. when i first heard it i wasn't to sure about it. but after a 2 or 3 listens i was all for it. cant wait until they're next release. and like the person before me, if you enjoy this band and haven't seen them live yet. than you are missing out greatly. go see these guys live in action for the full effect.』
(Epic) 『At first I wasn't quite sure what to make of this new album by Portugal. The Man. I fell in love with their first album (Waiter: You Vultures!) immediately. It took me a little longer to receive their next CD (Church Mouth). This CD though is really starting to grow on me. It is not nearly as loud as their previous CDs but it is definitely as heavy. I think that its one of those CDs that reflects and pays its respects to the 60's and 70's pop and rock and roll as well as putting in their own in to the album. I won't even go in to the detail of how amazing they are live. This band never ceases to amaze me.』 『Under the mainstream radar, Alaska's favorite sons, Portugal. The Man is a band that has been steadily building a devoted fan base and amassing kudos from an array of media outlets like Filter ("Portugal. The Man hasn't merely evolved from the avant-garde, neo-soul that shaped their earliest works, they've transcended it."), AbsolutePunk ("Portugal. The Man is one of the most unique and original groups of current time."), and ("...it's the songs that truly set this band apart.") Alternative Press.
Portugal. The Man's newest album features fifteen fiercely transcendent vignettes. The band calls the collectionCensored Colors- side one is a half-dozen single tracks, while side two consists of a long suite of compositions, segued together into one seamless presentation. The music materialized in January 2008 quickly, born from the band's ravenous creative appetite, many months of dedicated touring and their rare commitment to challenging songcraft, all set against a canvas of Seattle winter skies. They did it without outside financial backing and label support; content instead to rely upon their faith in each other, their music and the steady guidance of friends/multi-instrumentalists/producers Phil Peterson and Kirk Huffman (two-thirds of the genre-defying Seattle trio Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground).
Describing the product of that faith is no impossibility. But, like quantifying an emotion, merely articulating Censored Colors' countless aesthetic graces is not the optimal way to take its measure. "We've always wanted to make a really heavy record mellow," reveals vocalist/guitarist/songwriter John Baldwin Gourley. "And I think this time we did it."』

Taken together, this three-disc set shows Cheap Trick's evolution from oddball punk-style rockers into a strong power-pop outfit with a uniques sense of humor. However, the humor doesn't mean that the band is a novelty act, as they combine the metal of Ted Nugent, Foghat, and Montrose with Beatle-esque pop. If you get this set, you won't need to search out the original albums.』
(Great albums at a great price) 『If your exposure to Cheap Trick began with "at Budokan," please buy these albums. Each has its own charm and the price is just unbeatable.』
(Cheap Trick at its Best.) 『For those of you who think that "Live at Budokan" is the best Cheap Trick album out there, you'll love these, their first three albums, which have been re-released in one box set at under 20 dollars. Back in the 70s, CT personified good old American power pop at it's best. Fueled by Rick Nielson's sometimes astonishing guitar work, the steady drumming of Bunezuela (Bun E.) Carlos, and Robin Zander's soaring vocals, the endlessly touring Trick established itself as one of the hardest working bands in the country. Original versions of "Budokan" classics "Surrender", "Clock Strikes Ten" and "Come On Come On" are here, along with a lot of great stuff that shows them growing as a band and rocking the house in the process. Highly recommended--one of the best deals on Amazon!』
(Three stars +...Basically even with all previously unreleased tracks, three LPs worth of tunes from CT's...) 『First three studio LPs. This is when Tom Petersson was real good. I am still not a big fan of the 12-string Bass, but they actaully started reco- rding in the studio in 1975 with Sou- thern Girls (Elvis was there that day in Memphis, according to the liner notes in Sex, America, Cheap Trick, which I much prefer since it has all these tunes and so much more. Get it if you like Cheap Trick when they were young, fresh, but hadn't peaked yet. I first saw them in 1977 and have seen them 30 or more times since. They were better 1981-87 though. No offence, TP...』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Catchy Tunes and More Words for ASD Child) 『Our son is on the Autism Spectrum and is a very visual learner. He knew his shapes and colors and we used this as a repetition source for maintenance. One day while driving he came out with one of their songs - Green grass, blue sky, red apples and the yellow sunshine. We were surprised since he doesn't normally speak without a lot of prompting. He really liked the song. We in turn were very happy to hear him sing the words out clearly. Highly recommend for those on the ASD.』
(great for teaching young toddlers!) 『I was given this DVD and I love it! I started letting my son watch it about once a week when he was around 15 months and he knew his shapes and colors in no time! I think these videos are superior to Baby Einstien because they actually teach your child. If you are unsure just buy a used one and try it. I doubt you will be dissapointed.』
(Great find!) 『This was the first of the Brainy Baby series DVDs I bought for my now 3 1/2 month old son. It hooked me. I like the series overall so much better than most Baby Einstein videos which many moms rave about (except I do like Neptune in that series). Anyway, this video is wonderfully perpared. It has vibrant uses of colors and shapes--using many children and creative ideas for every day items to show children shapes--such as a pizza slice for a triangle. Since children tend to want to watch the same video over and over--be sure to pick one you can stand too. This one is fun to watch for you and your children.』
(brainy baby shapes and colors - just ok) 『The video is Ok but some of the songs are pretty hokey and even my son doesn't like them. He will watch the video but he has yet to sit for the entire video like he does with others.』
(Tackles 2 concepts in 1 video) 『The Shapes portion of this video begins with a really long song about shapes and foods (triangles are like pizza slices, etc). I really don't care for the singing voices. It always sounded to me like they were singing, "Whilst you know how to name your shapes". I had to listen to this over and over and finally realized they they were really singing "Once you know how to name your shapes" (at least I think that must be what they are saying because whilst just doesn't make sense).
The shapes focused on in this video are circle, square, triangle, rectangle, star, diamond, heart, oval, crescent, and then they have a very little bit with the shapes pentagon, hexagon, and octagon.
The very first time I watched this I thought it was annoying. Everything seemed to be fast and hard to absorb. As I watched it again I felt that it wasn't quite as bad as I thought at first. I like the Colors half of the video better.
In the Colors section they have a lot of repeats of Baby's First Impressions Colors, but Brainy Baby has more speaking and adds a few more colors. The colors are red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, brown, pink, black, white, silver and gold. After a few colors they have a color review. Just for you to get an idea, for purple they show these things in purple: balloons, flowers, bunny, ball, baby with a scuba outfit on (why? I don't know. I guess because it's purple), slinky, grapes (animated ones and also real ones), egg plant, pool dolphin toy, easter egg, toy turtle and then kids in purple.
It is nice that this video tackles two concepts in one video. I think it's ok but I'm not wildly excited about it. I really like So Smart Shapes and So Smart Colors better. Please read my other reviews.
』 『Introduces 12 Shapes and 12 Colors Catchy sing-along songs DVD includes special features such as: Baby Bloopers, Behind The Scenes, Video Sing-Along and an Interactive Activity. 45 minutes』 『Reaching beyond the basic rainbow and building-block primer,Brainy Baby: Shapes&Colorscelebrates the many forms and hues that typical 1- to 4-year olds encounter in their everyday surroundings. A music video introduces the shapes portion of the show by focusing on edible triangles, circles, and crescents. A thorough, creative rundown of 11 shapes ensues, led by a helpful narrating voice that gently introduces words ("This is a circle"), asks simple questions ("How many rectangles do you see?"), and points out interesting sights. Halfway through the 40-minute program, a second music video gives viewers a chance to stretch, wiggle, and prepare to learn about 12 colors. Outstanding camera work captures imaginative footage outdoors and indoors, from preening pink flamingos to gleeful toddlers cavorting with foam shapes. The DVD also includes an interactive storybook, narrated by a child, to reinforce lessons learned; a video sing-along; and other parent/child activities.--Liane Thomas』
