It introduces the finger picking style and takes you up to be a fairly accomplished blues finger picker player. I really enjoyed this DVD, from 1 year now I'm still learning from it. If u r really serious about playing the Blues don't miss this DVD a lot of instructions far more advanced than the first one, but if u r a novice just start with the first one. 』
(This is a lot of fun!) 『Volume one was a great way to introduce acoustic blues. Happy assumes nothing in terms of the player's knowledge, and his enthusiasm for acoustic blues is contagious. By assuming nothing, he covers the very basics...even down to how to count, and then moves on to some very EASY to play songs that are...VERY EASY to "dress up" and sound quite impressive. Volume 2 picks up where Volume 1 left off and is also a lot of fun. The didatic aspect of the DVD is undeniable, but I found, especially with these DVDs on the acoustic blues, that I was learning without really recognizing it because I was enjoying myself. I have many of Homespun DVDs (I consider a library of Homespun instuctional DVDs a must for every guitar player---and every piano player (my son) who seeks a solid education) and some are quite challenging; where one DVD might last me for months of lessons----the Blues series are fun and learning is coming along fine. Happy shows that the blues variations are just endless.....and blues is not all "blue" or depressing music, but rather can be quite uplifting. His love of the blues goes back to his early teacher, whom he quotes often, and it feels like the viewer and student is being let in on some old, old secrets. Great to learn these songs, and then to teach them to my kids. It is funny to hear a 5 year old wake up and sing, "Good morning, blues, how do you do?".
Homespun is the premier music instruction today. I will continue to build my DVD library, which now includes instruction on acoustic guitar, blues, folk, solo playing, general instruction, as well as Harmonica, Drums, Piano, and the Irish Tin Whistle. My entire family loves music and is benefiting from the great work by the Traums.』
IPhone 3G used's review (A DJ does a collection right...this one from the deep days) 『So many big DJs release special discs of some of their greatest mixes...and jam 15 tracks onto one disc leaving us with pretty useless edits. Collectors should rejoice in this collection, in which Danny Tenaglia inclues less tracks on each disc...but look at the time lengths:
CD1:
1. Deeper (8:14) 2. Love me the Right Way (6:05) 3. Surrender Yourself (13:17) 4. Before (8:59) 5. Harmonica (8:21) 6. When You Love Someone (9:51) 7. Rest Sur Moi (5:35)
CD2:
1. Love Can Change It (8:46) 2. Only you (8:59) 3. Got Me Up (9:05) 4. Mk2a (7:52) 5. Sunday Afternoons (12:31) 6. Never Knew Love (14:00)
If you're looking to round out your collection of some deep vocal house tracks from the first part of the 90s, this is a must have.』
(Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!) 『I got to say I had this album a few years back on vinyl during my spinning days. Hearing it again was awesome. This is my absolute favorite Danny Tenaglia Collection. I grew up in NYC listening to what I consider early house of the late 70's and early 80's. Danny injects that flavor into new hits with absolute perfection. I'd recommend this disc to any dance music afficcionado, new or old to the genre.』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Will teach you a few things!) 『Ok, so watching this whole video can get rather boring, but then again, most instructional videos are. I feel the author could have played more songs and examples illustrating the techniques he talks about. Mr Tennant shares with you some "crazy" ideas of how nails should be shapped, I have only seen him with these nails or heard of anybody that shapes them like that, but his nails seem to work for him nicely. He also talks about this wrist/arm positon that although it makes all the sense in the world, it feels like the most akward thing and I just can't feel the advantages or comfort he promises. Let me tell you one thing though, with this video I finally tapped into the mistery of "tremolo" so I finally learned how to do it after much patience and exercise with this, so for that I am truly grateful. Don't forget to get the book which I think is far superior than the video, but the video is a nice complement to the book.』

IPhone 3G used's review (Excellent) 『Bahia Funk kicks the album off with a bang. Excellent sound and superb musicianship, as always from Lee Rit. Then comes E with Gonzaginha on vocal, and the whole thing just keeps going, track after track. I've been listening to Lee Ritenour, believe it or not, since I was about 12. He came to Hong Kong one summer and I've heard cassettes of his from my older sister. Color Rit came out when I was 19, and it's as fresh today as it was when I first got it on CD. If you're into fusion jazz you'll love this. This should be in your library if you like this kind of music. Classic.』
(Nice, but . . .) 『I'm just one of those persons who prefer my music without vocals. A little bit is okay, but this album has a bit too much vocals for my taste. Otherwise, an interesting and enjoyable CD.』
(I like it!) 『I am actually a critic of most so called "smooth jazz" artist. However Rit does a nice job on this album. I particularly like the opening song "Rio Funk". It's just the type of funky jazz song that a Brazilian artist would actually do. Although Rit is not Brazilian he has several Brazilian guest musicians on this album including the great Gonzugingha who is the son of the even greater Louis Gonzaga. Anyway listen to him sang on "E" and you will feel the spirit of Brazil in this music. Another surprise is a remake of the Isley Brothers "Can't Let Go". Phil Perry handles the vocals which keeps the song interesting by not making it a instrumental gloss over. Great stuff!』
(falling in love all over again) 『When this first came out, I didn't have a CD player, I purchased it on tape. When i then purchased a CD player the tape was sorta set aside with the idea that someday i would get it on CD. 22 years later here i am listening to this on a new CD i just bought and feeling like it was the first time all over again. This CD has such a wonderful blend of acoustic guitar, electric piano and percussion. Hot latin rhythm and smooth jazz meet to make every tune a gem. Most of the numbers are Upbeat instrumentals, but Vocals and ballads appear enough to make this a well rounded listening experience. Lee Ritenour is a very talented musician and he diserves a second look from all his old fans and if you never heard him before, its a must, you don't know what your missing. Enjoy!』
(Excellent) 『This cd is both funky and jazzy! The title track is the best. Lee at his best!』
