(The Color of Light)
『The CD, The Color of Light by Dana Cunningham is very difficult to find in stores. Maybe that is because it is difficult to characterize. The music has a classically inspired, new age orientation. Beyond the ambient chill of most new age pianist though, Dana performs a number of ballads that weave from one to the next. Accompanied by simple and yet ample background, the sound is rich and fulfilling.

Although I've seen other CDs by this artist, the track "Flying over Water" caught my attention and had me searching to find this CD. It is both haunting and soothing. The rest of the CD does not disappoint. I highly recommend it for your listening pleasure.』

(I love this CD)
『I absolutely love Dana's music. This is not a predictable, boring new age album that sounds like every other. Dana is clearly a brilliant pianist who plays with passion, depth and abundance. Her gorgeous music evokes a peacefulness and joy that cannot be described; one must listen and listen again. There is such a depth to Dana's music that you never tire of the songs; instead you continue to delight in the nuances of the pieces that you didn't notice before.

It is great background music for a gathering of friends, great for meditation or prayer, great when you need some peace while driving down the road. Hope you love it as much as I do.』

(Wonderful)
『I am speechless with longing and desire... words cannot express the feelings conjured when listening to this album... this is why God make music, I suppose. It will take you to the silver stream and float you down in a boat made of golden reeds. Voices, cello, guitar and piano and more take you to worlds unknown and known yet long-forgotten... in misty hills and heavens above... silver moons and stars overhead, bright foliage drifting down... floating like lunar moths over a crystal moon.

Not to be missed, in any case. No matter where you are.

Take this trip. You will remember it as long as you live.

"5 stars and more, in the heavens above...."』

(Stands out among all my CD's.)
『My mother died suddenly last February, and even though I had listened to The Color of Light many times before then, it helped me tremendously in my grieving and healing. I have also sent this CD to friends suffering from cancer and other illness, and everyone has thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful music. This is my favorite of Dana Cunningham's CD's because I think it's the most complicated and interesting for me. I listen to many types of music, and for me, this albumn is true joy.』
『The Color of Light blends 15 tracks of idyllic artistry featuring piano soloist, Dana Cunningham's original compositions and improvisations. Among her distinctively lyrical solo works are a number of pieces enhanced with instrumental textures and contemporary structures. Featured Grammy Award-winning artists include cellist, Eugene Friesen, percussionist, Glen Velez, and Will Ackerman, on guitar. Within the contemplative nature of Dana's previous works, the result is a surprisingly powerful and evocative album radiating with liberating colors, textures, line, and space as remarkable as any natural vista or visual work of art. The Color of Light is required listening for peacekeepers, contemplative listeners, as well as classical, and jazz aficionados.』

(Among the Trick's best)
『I have the old 10-track CD version of In Color, Cheap Trick's 2nd album (I had the gatefold LP back in the day of course). In Color can be easily overlooked because it falls between the band's incredible debut and the chart-topping Heaven Tonight. And to be honest, yes it's not as good as either of those two but Cheap Trick on a bad day is still one of the best bands around. In Color is a fantastic record, HIGHLY recommended to any Trickster. It's fun to hear the "lame" version of I Want You To Want Me, and In Color contains two of my all time favorite songs, Downed and Come On Come On. Southern Girls is also great. The lyrics to Downed get to me every time, I love the opening verse:
I'm gonna live on a mountain
Way down under in Australia
Its either that or suicide
Its such a strange strain on you』

(Simply Their Best)
『This is still the best album Cheap Trick ever released period. With songs like "Downed" ,"Southern Girls" and "Big Eyes" its a classic.I would recomend it to anyone who likes 70's or 80's guitar oriented rock music.』

(Hard rock pop at its subtle very best.)
『"Hello There" is a great "get the party started song." If you like that level of excitement, then play "Clock Strikes Ten", "Southern Girls" and "Come on, come on". Rick Nielsen's guitar work is subtle; you think that you're listening to simple power chords and then you realize that there's a lot of depth to his guitar work. I also enjoy "Downed", "Oh Caroline" and "So Good To See You." I think that this is the Cheap Trick CD to own if you can only have one; almost every track is great. Have a listen!』

(Time Piece)
『Sophomore effort following strong debut Time And Chance was a proper title for Color Me Badd's second coming. Beginning this album off with "Intro (Ecclesiastes 9:11)" tied well with the album's concept and the first song, lead single and title track which was produced by rap producer DJ Pooh who also produces "Groovy Now" which is a groovy sexy crooning tune. These two songs alone arguably are the strength of this LP. Color Me Badd had their hands on the creativity of this album writing eight of the seventeen songs and either producing or co-producing seven of the seventeen. "Let Me Have It All" is a combination of pop and R&B with drum patterns of hip-hop/rap. With strong influence of an early Prince tune, "Rosanna's Little Sister" has a guitar that would be impossible to resist. "How Deep" follows the format for the popular boy band dance song. The vocals found on "In The Sunshine" resemble a George Michael feel good song with horns blowing feeling like a celebration to remember. The album quickly takes on a classic approach with "The Bells" and their rendition of "Wildflower" which shows the group's versatility and range to appeal. Time And Chance concludes with a more spiritual revelation with "God Is Love" and "Let Love Rule (God Is Love Outro)" which should have been an interlude within the album instead of concluding it with its acoustic light aura. CMB definitely has talent, but less filler would have made this a better collection of songs, but it is still a timely piece.』

(The best!)
『This is byfar the best album that the group ever put out. Each song is absulutely beautiful. This album is timesless. This album will make you smile and bring tears to your eyes at the same time. I highly recommend this album. I absolutely love it!』

(One of My all-time favorites!)
『Way back in 1992 I first listened to Color Me Badd and ever since I have loved their music! What I like about them is their great voices and the cool variety of music mixed in with an urban feel. My favorite singer of the band is Mark Calderon. He has such a wonderful voice and I love the songs that he has a good amount of time singing in. If you love Color Me Badd or love to hear a band that you are not familiar with then I strongly recommend that your purchase this CD today!』

(Awesome!)
『Another great installment by CMB. I highly recommend picking this album up. Tracks such as the title song "Time and Chance", Choose, Rosanna's Little Sister, Close to Heaven and God is Love make this album what it is. Awesome listening! You won't be disappointed Time and Chance combines soft ballads with upbeat pop songs you can dance to for an unbeatable combination and a CD that no collection is complete without.

Highly recommended!

(CMB's Best Work)
『Without a doubt, this is Color Me Badd's top album. The songs on here are so powerful and moving, whether it be to make you get up and dance or to just sit and ponder life in general. I never listened to a cd that made me think of so many different aspects of my life before. "Close to Heaven" and "How Deep" are beautiful songs. I wish I can find a girl in that makes me feel the words in those songs. "Rosanna's Little Sister" has a good beat and brings up a typical scenario for guys - "What do you do when the girl you are dating has a hot younger sister that you are attracted to greatly and also likes you too?" "Choose" and "Time and Chance" round out the best songs. The other songs are good also, just not, in my opinion, as of the same quality of the five I have mentioned. Definite Buy.』

『Lorrie Morgan is one of my favorite female country singers. Her voice is gorgeous, and she sings with so much vitality. There is strength and vulnerability in her vocals, which I love. This dvd shows you what a talented woman Lorrie is, and that her voices hold up just as great live as it does in the studio. She's also not hard to look at!』

(Great artist, great concert, great interview)
『Having bought a number of cd's and seen a few videos on CMT I thought I'd take a chance on the DVD. What a great decision!
Really enjoyed the concert. Lorrie gave it everything with a good mix of songs.
What did surprise me was the fact that I enjoyed the interview. Often these sort of things are just filler and not worth watching. Not this one, I felt I'd got to know her a little better and will certainly be watching it again.』

(One of the hottest ladies in Country Music)
『The versatility of Lorrie Morgan on this DVD is something to be seen and heard. A brillant piece of work and something that I have watched several times and it only gets better each time I watch it. A must buy for true country Fans.
Since my last review I have watched it again and again. Fantastic. Go Lorrie』

(Thrilled!)
『This DVD is such a GREAT job! I don not think it doubles Lorrie's CD's I already own. I thought I would not fall much for the symphony orchestra accompaniment but, though I still prefer her traditional part, I was thrilled anyway. Lorrie on stage is such a delight, happily not only because she's a beauty. The strengh she makes you feel in every lyrics that she lives, clearly appears on the close up shots. The pictures are beautiful and Lorrie a great professional with a wide range of skill. Then she welcomes you home for a long and interesting interview about her carrier and life. YES, YOU MUST GET IT! Domi』

(GREATEST HITS #10)
『LORRIE CONTINUES TO SING THE SAMESONGS OVER AND OVER. IF SHE HADNEW MATERIAL, MAYBE SHE WOULD SELLMORE CD'S. IF YOU ARE A LORRIE FAN, YOU WILL BUY THIS. IF NOT,JUST DIG OUT YOUR PAST GREATESTHITS - IT'S ALL THE SAME. I WOULDSAY IT IS TIME FOR HER TO RETIRE.』
『Lorrie Morgan has been entertaining audiences for three decades and has become one of the most successful vocalists in country music. This ultimate concert special showcases the award-winning, platinum-selling artist's beauty and talent as she seamlessly glides from heart-breaking ballads and classic country tunes to rock-infused anthems. It's a night to remember with a lady who defines courage, grace and attitude. Songs: Watch Me, Trainwreck of Emotion, Good As I Was to You, Harper Valley PTA, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, Go Away, I Didn't Know My Own Strength, Except for Monday, What Part of No, Fly Me to the Moon, Half Enough, 1-800-Used to Be, Secret Love, Good Morning Heartache, Help Me Make It Through the Night, A Picture of Me (Without You), My Favorite Things, The Color of Roses, Something in Red.』
『There's still a lot of twang in Lorrie Morgan, but if this 75-minute concert, recorded in Nashville in 2001, is any indication, the comely singer wouldn't mind being linked stylistically with Diana Krall as well as Shania Twain. Among the 19 selections onThe Color of Roses(released simultaneously on DVD, VHS, and CD) are a variety of songs that few would expect from a country artist, like the Carole King/Gerry Goffin classic "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" and such pop-jazz standards as "Fly Me to the Moon," "Good Morning Heartache," and "My Favorite Things." What's more, it's on those tunes that Morgan most distinguishes herself. The rest of her material, including hits like "Watch Me" and "What Part of No," is pretty much your standard modern country with a rock&roll edge, tame but all very professional.Sam Graham

(disappointed)
『I gave Awesome Color's debut high marks, but this record does little to nothing to make good on that records promise. The opening track "Eyes Of Light" is the standout, but much of the following record just reminds me of lots of other bad, 70's derivative blues-based rock. The debut screamed "STOOGES!" - this one is closer to "FOGHAT!" - and not even as interesting as that. They've made zero efforts to make their arrangements more interesting, nothing.

Bummer.』

『Vinyl LP pressing of the third album from the Brooklyn power trio. Awesome Color is a group of noise provocateurs and impressionists, ace players with Punk rock flair, inspired citizens of a small modernist nation of musical, visual, and literary outrage on the outskirts of Brooklyn, or a rainbow amalgam of all of the above at once. Following a non-stop touring schedule after their debut release (including stints with Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth in the US, UK, and Europe), the band took their honed brand of turbo chemistry into the studio and created the highly anticipated Electric Aborigines. (1080I ?)
『Why buy a bluray disk with only 1080i? I was somewhat disappointed in the quality as I thought I was buying a 1080p disk. It was my own fault, but anyone interested in this might enjoy many other great bluray nature titles that are even less expensive than this one.』

(Nature scenes set to classical music)
『This video contains scenes from the folks at HDenvironments.com, makers of the Living Landscapes videos. They add classical music instead of retaining the natural sounds. The calssical selections are popular ones you should recognize, and the movement from scene to scene is faster than the original Living Landscapes videos. If this appeals to you, enjoy. If you want the natural sounds and longer scenes are each site, get the original Living Landscapes videos.』

(Good but not great)
『I enjoyed most aspects of this Blu-Ray disk. The scenery is indeed natural and colorful, but I felt disappointed in my purchase after the first 10 minutes. The scenery was not varied enough, and there are too many scenes of trees, water and common wildlife that I could video myself by talking a walk in a nearby woods. I was expecting more scenery from unusual places around the world. The quality of the music track is fantastic, especially on my high-end home theater. Once again, too many of the selections are classical music that I've heard countless times on television, movies, radio, etc. Something surprising and new would have gone a long way here.』

(Excellent in all aspects)
『This type of scenery and music combination can run for many times and every time it is enjoyable either to watch or to have it as back ground music with nice sceneries of Nature. It is worth the money as it is a Disk to play many times especialy enjoyable on blue ray with large screen highest resolution.』

『Works best without words. Sondheim's lyrics are badly sung and their meaning undermined. Otherwise fine.』

(Excellent)
『This album was a very pleasant surprise. Loving You - Nancy Wilson And Peabo Bryson, stands out as the best track but the entire album is excellent.』

(Sondheim at his best)
『Superb performances by Peabo Bryson, Nancy Wilson and Holly Cole are the highlight of this Sondheim collection. Sad to say, I was unaware of how prolific Sondheim was for so many years. A true blend of vocals and musicals from the soulful duet by Bryson and Wilson to the rather avante-garde stylings of Herbie Hancock. You may like some songs better than the others (I did). But, I can guarantee that if you like any of the principals involved, you'll consider the CD worthwhile. I have owned it for years and it is still near the top of the list of CD's that I listen to.』

(Great Jazz CD- Sondheim or not)
『Even if you're not a big Sondheim fan (and not everyone is despite what some fanatics think) you'll love this album. The jazz interpretations bring nuances to his music that will surprise you.
If you are a Sondheim nut you have to own this one. The duets are the albums assets but there is not a weak link in the set.』

(A joyous adventure)
『I found this jazz CD to be a delightful mixture of straight ahead jazz, vocal arrangements, and "smooth" tunes. The music is quite listenable and soothing. It has something for everyone who likes jazz. But the purist might find fault with its commercial appeal; I, for one, just sat back and relished.』

("Fast Eddie, Let's play some pool!")
『Martin Scorsese's "The Color of Money" was the brillant sequel to my favorite movie "The Hustler". A few months ago, I found the soundtrack which features most of the great songs that are featured in the movie.

From Eric Clapton's smash hit, "It's In The Way That You Use It" to Robbie Roberton's "Main Title" the album is filled with a great blend of rock, blues, and jazz. Some of the great songs in the movie like "One More Night" from Phil Collins and "Walk On the Wild Side" from Jimmy Smith weren't on this album and it's hard to see why when the album barely runs over 30 minutes.

Still, "The Color Of Money" was my favorite movie from the 80s and most likely my favorite soundtrack too. If you like the movie you'll enjoy the music just as much. Don't Miss It!』

(Melissa Manchester, Oleta Adams&Jeffrey Osborne Stand Out!)
『Buy this CD if only to hear Melissa Manchester's incredible rendition of "Breath of Heaven" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" (a different arrangement than on her own Christmas CD)-- and also Oleta Adams' breathtaking "O Come All Ye Faithful." If you can get past Sheena Easton, it's a great CD -- although her duet with Jeffrey Osborne is palatable.』

(WISH FOR THIS ONE FOR XMAS!)
『An excellent compilation, expecially Peabo Bryson's rendition of Born on Christmas Day and Phillip Bailey's classic style of singing. You will enjoy everything.』

(Wicked!)
『I thought this CD was really memorable, especially Philip Bailey's Silent Night and Sheena Easton's The Lord's Prayer. Lord only knows why these two aren't still topping the charts in the US.』
『Some of R&B's top singers come together for this yuletide vocal celebration, featuring the estimable pipes of Peabo Bryson, Oleta Adams, Philip Bailey, and others. Backed by a fine jazz ensemble and orchestra under the direction of producer Robbie Buchanan, Bryson opens the set with a croon-approved version of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," and later duets soulfully with Roberta Flack on "The Gift." The funky "This Christmas" finds Jeffrey Osborne shimmying around melodic curves; and Bailey's harp-laden, almost Celtic take on "Silent Night" boasts his distinctive falsetto and preternatural vibrato. Sheena Easton wraps the album up (heh...) with a Buchanan arrangement of "The Lord's Prayer," which handles the profession of faith with suitable passion.--James Rotondi
