Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Well-done, inspiring) 『I rented this through Netflix, so had no access to any additional materials that might have been included with it (eye chart, for example).
The only suggestion for improvement I would make is: have a separate workout on the DVD. While Mr. Schneider does go into how long to do each individual exercise when teaching, it would be nice to have a complete, real-time run through on the DVD.
The exercises/warm-up he has you go through before you do any of the eye exercises could also be used as a gentle, yet energizing warm up for other physical exercise--a welcome and unexpected bonus.』
(yoga for eyes and minds) 『This is a very good set of book and dvd with easy to follow instructions. You learn a lot about eyes, body and mind cooperation. It makes you to respect the best organs of your senses.THE EYES!』
(MUST HAVE) 『Sure all our muscles need excersise! And why not the eyes too! I have perfect eye sight and still I feel much better, relaxed, after I started with this program. DVD comes with a small excersise book and stuff you need for the program.』
(best by test) 『Meir's book is the most thorough I have ever seen and he is clearly the most qualified having not only recreated his own eyesight sufficiently to have no restrictions on his drivers license, and to have assisted thousands to improve or regain their eyesight. In addition, his work with Muscular Dystrophy is nearly miraculous. Check out his references in this area as you will find it hard to believe that he has made such an impact in this area for which Jerry Lewis campaigns every year and to my knowledge has never even mentioned Meir.』
(Great information, bit slow on the teaching) 『This DVD is based on the Bates' book method that says MOST simple visual blurriness due to nearsightedness or far sightedness is due to eye muscle strain/stiffness, not the cornea or optic nerve (always situations where it is). This DVD shows exercise that Meir himself came up with based on the book who he himself was born almost totally blind by age 7 who passed the DMV eye exam w/o need for glasses. I've only gone through some of it, but the simple thing as warming your hands&cupping each eye with each hand for 5 min w/o pressure on the cheek bones was great. He says most people's eye muscles are stiff from too much reading, tv&computer work¬ enough looking long distances like previous generations. I didn't even think my eyes were stiff until I cupped them. When I was done, OH MY GOD, my eyes felt SSOOO refreshed&I could see slightly better. As most people, I would think sleeping is the same thing, but he says since that is passive, it does not count as giving your eyes a chance to relax. The DVD has him teaching another man how to do the exercise which contains an eye chart&simple carboard squares to work on your peripheral vision. The only reason I took off 1 star was because the teaching is so slow&drawn out I kept getting too bored to finish it.』 『A complete DVD course on Dr. Schneider's innovative methods offer improving vision, naturally. These proven techniques-many drawn from the principles of Tibetan yoga-relax and retain your visual system to help you see the world with less strain, greater acuity, and more spacious visual field. Includes eye chart.
DVD, 74 minutes.
』 『"This is yoga because this is union with the eyes," explains Meir Schneider in the introduction toYoga for Your Eyes. Born legally blind, Schneider underwent many operations as a child but was unable to see more than light and shadow; he had to do all of his schoolwork in Braille. Today he is able to drive a car without use of glasses or contacts, after improving his sight holistically. In this video, Schneider shares his techniques, using movements that originate in two main sources: the techniques of ophthalmologist William Bates and Tibetan yoga.
To begin, Schneider instructs you to remove your contacts or glasses (how he expects you to see the screen clearly enough to follow the exercises is not explained). Then he moves on to "palming," a vision-improving exercise. The instruction is thorough, including directions on how to breathe, and the movements are simple and relaxing. The second segment is "Testing Your Vision," in which you're told to make your own eye chart to graph your improvement. "Stimulating Your Peripheral Vision" is next, and it requires three pieces of black construction paper and tape to help you balance the use of both eyes together. "Outdoor Exercises" explains why older people have more vision difficulties and shows how to improve this problem. The final exercises--"Sunning," "Skying," and "Long Swing"--help you to adapt to bright lights.
Schneider is an earnest instructor, who obviously believes strongly in his methods. If you're looking for a natural way to improve your eyesight,Yoga for Your Eyesis the place to begin. Also included with the video is a 62-page study guide.--Jenny Brown』
IPhone 3G used's review (Great buy!) 『This is the first yoga/workout tape I have bought and I am so pleased. I have pregnancy fat I needed to tone up. Beth Shaw has a very soothing/soft voice and is constantly motivating you. During the exercizes she is showing you her way and an easier way incase it's to hard or if you have back/neck problems. In the beginning you do an easy warmup; you move to a harder workout and then an amazing cool down. I workout to her 40 min. tape every morning 5 times a week. I look forward to it every day and feel amazing when I am done. It has been two weeks and I have noticed a difference in my butt and thighs. My butt feels harder and my thighs have gained muscle. My arms as well has toned up too. She really works you out and I feel a burn in my legs and abs every time. I am now going back to get her Yoga Abs! Very pleased!!!!』
IPhone 3G used's review (This is Gentle Yoga, but not for beginners.) 『I loved this video. But, I must say if you have never done Yoga before anywhere you would have to watch this video maybe 2-3 times before trying it. Without any previous Yoga experience this would seem like the wrong video. But, once you are accustomed to it I think it is a great video.』
(I wore this video out.) 『This video was my first real introduction to Yoga and I love it. I didn't have a problem with the pacing. If I had problems with a pose I just backed the video up, watched her carefully then tried it myself. Everything takes practice and yoga is no exception. I hope the reviews by the people who had problems with the pacing won't turn you off to this video. Please keep in mind that this is not an introduction to yoga video. Just because it says beginner in the title, it doesn't mean that it's an introduction to the basics video. If you have most of the basic down then this video would be a wonderful addition to your home practice. I, personally, don't use this video anymore - I wore the tape out. I considered repurchasing it but instead, I took it as a sign that it was time for me to move on in my yoga practice. I would purchase it again though.』
(Rocket Speed Yoga) 『I was originally only purchasing a YogaKids tape when I saw this "Gentle Yoga" tape. So without any research, I purchased this tape. Instead of being a relaxing 30 minutes, the host rushes the viewer from pose to pose and all the while she constantly says breath in and breath out- she also doesn't say whether you should be breathing through the nose or mouth.
Finally, the picture quality of the tape was grainy. Save your money or at least find another tape.』
(Excellent with a little practice and patience) 『I was troubled when I began to use this video, because of the confusing pace and the constant reminding to inhale and exhale, but after a week or so of practice, I began to see the benefits. It takes a little practice, but if you stick with it, you'll find that Ms. Deason's instruction is perfect for those who plan to use this video on a routine basis. If she had gone slower, or added more instruction within the workout portion of the video, I would quickly become annoyed with having to listen over and over again to how to perform a pose I'd been doing for weeks. Don't give up! You'll find that you no longer need to look at the TV at all, and the gentle instructions (especially "inhale" and "exhale") keep you calm and centered, and in the rhythm of the practice. I am trying to lose a significant amount of weight, and although some poses are more difficult to attain due to my size, I have found that this exercise puts me more in touch with my body than any other I've tried.』
(Definitely NOT for Beginners) 『I have purchased other videos from this company and been extremely pleased with them. That's why I decided to buy this tape for my sister when she inquired about video recommendations to start a yoga practice. Fortunately I tried it out before sending it on to her. I never did. It is definitely not for beginners. I have had a regular yoga practice for three years and it was too much for me. I found the verbal cuing impossible to follow. And it is highly undesireable, if not impossible, to have to constantly look up at the tv screen while trying to do yoga.』 『If you want to practice yoga but need a modified approach because of age, flexibility, medical condition, or preference, this video makes yoga accessible to you. Instructor Suzanne Deason (a lovely, vital, mature woman) adapts basic yoga postures that focus on the legs, spine, and abdomen so you can experience the benefits without strain. The postures will still be challenging, but you'll be able to learn them. This 30-minute workout includes a 10-minute gentle warm-up, an 18-minute workout for strength and flexibility, and a 2-minute deep relaxation so that you finish centered and serene. You use a support block when you can't reach the floor and a strap (you could substitute a towel or scarf) when you can't reach your foot. The scene is a craggy beach, waves crashing on the rocks. The verbal instruction is so exact that you can do many postures with your eyes closed. No experience necessary. "Connect to your inner strength and vitality," Deason invites you.--Joan Price』

In fact, whenever any friends hear it, they immediately want to know what it is and where I got it. I ended up giving my first copy away to a friend visiting from out of state and reordering for myself. If you truly want some music that will take you away, THIS IS IT!!!』
(A must have for relaxing) 『This is quickly becoming my most-played CD! It's great for relaxing (especially after a long day) or doing pilates. Highly recommended for fans of ambient! 』
(Compelling music, well played) 『This is a compelling combination of musical ability, combined with technical skill in selection, combinaton and execution of sounds and tones, resulting in a very pleasant listening and relaxing experience.』
(Alleviates the Most Common Symptoms of Your Workday Frustrations) 『Very soothing, revitalizing, and serene. Both stimulating and tranquil, this music creates the sort of audio environment I need to refocus and renew.』
(Relax Deeply) 『Outstanding cd! The compositions from "Relax Deeply" are excellent and gorgeous. Each composition from this CD creates a rich and soothing atmosphere. The songs on the cd are very relaxing and great for background music. Fans of Cleveland Wehle's excellent keyboard work will not be disappointed.』 『This is the music from the popular Yoga Nidra CD "Relax Deeply" narrated by Steve Wolf. It includes all of the music from the original "Relax Deeply" sequences, plus an additional extended piece written specifically for this music only edition - over 70 minutes of music in all. All pieces were written and performed by keyboard artist Cleveland Wehle.』
IPhone 3G used's review (MAGNIFICENT) 『The true staple of every Yoga instructor no matter what style of yoga they teach. If you don't have you'll want it, and it's a wonderful night time CD for a two year old as well :) 』
(Relaxing music to read or meditate to.) 『Of all the CD's I have which I play while relaxing on the weekend, this is my favorite. I read books, magazines or just think while listening to this. Even my 2 dogs become calm while listening to this. Soft gentle music with no voice songs in it. You can do Yoga to it also. Sandy - ILuv2dogs@aol.com』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Awesome!) 『My yoga instructor plays many songs off this CD, and I just love it! "Thy Will" reminds me of my late mother, and after having it give me goose bumps, I had to order the CD! I highly recommend Sundari for all the yoga or meditation junkies!』
(great CD) 『My yoga teacher used this CD last night in class and I loved it. The last piece for shivasana particularly moved me; I found it very wonderful and inspiring. I enjoyed it so much I am here buying the CD. I would highly recommend this CD.』
(Sundari: Jivamukti Yoga) 『I am on this site to order this CD again!! Unfortunately I left this this awesome CD in a stero in one of the many gyms I teach in. It is a funky type of music and spirtually uplifting. My clients (yogis) love it. I decided to review it while I was here. Buy it!! Your yoga student will love you and your class.』
(Misleading title, not truly a "class") 『This is an audio CD with music only, there is no voice-over with a guided routine, which is what I thought I was getting when I purchased this CD. Don't be mislead!! What is included, however, is a mini-poster of a routine that is suggested to go along with this collection of songs. I ended up doing my own routine, which was fine, but sometimes when you are doing yoga, you don't want to have to think about what to do next, it's nice to be "told" versus worrying about whether or not you did the same sequence of poses on the other side. (Yogi's, you know what I mean!) The music selection is average, very tribal in nature. The very last track is potentially distracting, unfortunate since you should be in sivasana at the end. Overall, average, I would recommend Yoga Rhythm By Soulfood instead.』
(Not What I Expected) 『This CD doesn't include any guided poses. There is a sheet with drawings illustrating a sequence of poses (poorly done and hard to decipher). I was expecting something akin to the Yogi's Companion...』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Beyond Yoga) 『This compilation is listed as being beneficial for meditation and yoga, but what strikes me most powerfully about this CD is something more and beyond, which is its air of spiritual sensuality. It took me several listenings to connect with this aspect of the recordings - the long sustained notes and harmonies worked on my senses as well as the other aspects it was intended for. One reader found the first title, "Black Marble and Sweet Fire" dark and oppressive, and I too found it somewhat somber at first, but now it may be my favorite track. Its slow sensual brooding is quite wonderful. The cover art and colors reinforce this aspect of the compilation also, making me think its intention embraced this facet of the music. I love it.』
(Empowering Sounds for a Deeper Meditation Experience) 『While most yoga music contains popular New Age melodies and soft, light-hearted, almost fabricated attempts, this is a real winner. I am an instructor of Qi Gong at Furman University and use this in my more advanced classes. The most powerful aspect, perhaps, lies in the depth of the music and in its resonating power. I highly recommend you try it out as well for yourself.』
(Ambiance is sardonic and dark) 『I was surprised by the the music on this CD, the title "Slow Music for Yoga" gave me the impression that this would be gentle and relaxing music. The two first tracks are dark and dismal. The ambiance, if you like the sort of feeling is oppressive and foreboding. This was not the sort of setting I wished to experience in a yoga practice. 』
(excellent compilation) 『This album is an excellent compilation of very relaxing and soothing music not just to accompany your yoga practice or meditation but also to listen to and "let go" of your daily tensions. I've used it in my everyday yoga practice and it sure puts me in a meditative mood and helps me keep concentrated on the flow of postures and breath coordination; but I also listen to it while driving, on my way to work, and sure takes the stress away out of being stuck in rush hour traffic. As the title implies, this is a compilation of slow music, I rather called "inspirational", and is not only for yoga but is excellent as stress relieve ambient music in your home or office. I even played when I've a few friends over for drinks and conversation and creates a great background music.』 『Nearly 70 minutes of Eastern-by-ambient soundscape,Slow Music for Yogais culled from the Hearts of Space catalogue and includes unreleased material from both German pop composer Thomas Barquee and the exceptional devotional duo Rasa. From the outset, these pieces take the tack of mindful meandering, as they follow a comfortable, comforting pace. Warm and rhythmic, the sounds slow the pulse of the listener and call for focus on languid movement and openhearted clarity. Designed to enhance and accompany yoga practice,Slow Music for Yogais a handpicked collection of dissonant Eastern melody married to vocals and synthesizers in a reverential approach. Particularly enjoyable as a morning soundtrack,Slow Musicalso befits other types of body work, such as massage, breathing, visualizing exercises, and gentle stretching.--Paige La Grone』
