There are great advanced postures in this DVD, and like all his others, it is so flowing. You work hard but its in one way just fun and the other so meditative. As another reviwer stated, it does dedicate a good amt of time to breathing exercises, but I find it a plus. After you feel so relaxed yet energized. In no way is this DVD lacking. This is a great DVD, and recommend it to those practicing yoga already at a more intermediate level,and ready for the next step. Have fun!』
(Truly advanced; contains pranayama and asana) 『If V. Scott had viewed the entire DVD before reviewing it, it would have been obvious that this 2-hour Sivananda routine is complete; it contains a full 90 minutes of advanced asana (postures) and is preceded by 30 minutes of pranayama (breathing exercises).
After the breath exercises, Yogi Hari takes you through standing postures, a lengthy inversion section, and a lot of seated poses and arm balances, followed by meditation. This DVD is truly advanced. It contains more advanced postures than any other yoga DVD I own (and I own well over 100) and many unusual postures as well. It is a DVD for serious and experienced practitioners. I think even intermediates would find it frustrating, and might want to check out one of his other DVDs.
Yogi Hari is amazing, and his instructions are clear and his demeanor very calming. If you have a solid practice and are looking for something intense and different, give this a try.』

[AUDIOBOOK] (Audio CD)". This is more of a super set of the Krishna Das presentation and makes it easer to follow by putting it in perspective.
"Krishna Das: One Life at a Time" is a composite disk. The main part is more of an auto biography or self journey with the 2004 Las Angeles filmed presentation of Indian devotional song spliced in throughout the presentation. One can feel many parallels and identify with his journey. This also helps fill in with friends, relatives, and acquaintances that are not available with his commercial recordings. There is even footage of Ram Das.
A separate section to the DVD is just Das presentations, in one he describes what you are about to hear others you will recognize right off: Baba Hanuman Mere Guru Dev Kainchi Hare Krishna Jai Bhagavana

(Nice, but not quite right for bodywork sessions) 『This is a sweet, quiet album, however, it doesn't quite work for a massage therapy or other bodywork sessions. While the music itself is not intrusive, there are occasional "bum" and off notes that filter in through the hour-long piece that can be distracting in a quiet bodywork session. While this would not be a problem if the music is just serving as background sound as you do other things, in a massage, a client's mind looks to the music for calm and focus. For many, music is an essential component of the relaxation response during a massage. I used this with a number of my regular clients and they each were distracted or jarred when an off note tumbled by. I certainly understand that one can't be perfect over an hour-long performance, but I find this unsuitable for massage for that reason.』

I'm so glad I took that chance!! Better than any 'spoken' meditation these short pieces are very powerful and I can feel them 'speaking' directly to my body, different chakras seem to 'vibrate'. The only instrument on this recording is Baird's voice.
The CD opens with a piece called "Atha", a Sanskrit word which means, "May the following have an auspicious beginning and successful end". It is the opening word of Patanjali's Yogasutras.
Next, is the title piece, "Waking the Cobra " which is in fact a collection of seven short pieces. They are meditations on the traditional shape, color, element and sound for each of the chakras. Hersey first recorded a multi-layered vocal background drone or moving harmony. Then, singing two pitches at once, he recorded the high melody parts.
This is followed by an extended piece called "The Conch Shell, The Wheel and the Sword". These words are taken from the invocation chanted before beginning the practice of Ashtanga Yoga. Call and response, rising harmonies, vocal textures, and overtone melodies, are used in this extended piece to investigate the symbolic meaning of the objects.
The CD concludes with "Between Sthira and Sukha. This is a phrase from Patanjali's Yogasutras which means between alert steadiness and relaxed comfort. This piece searches to balance those qualities by alternating low Multiphonic voice overtone singing and high falsetto harmonies.
