The exercises target the places where we all feel tight after sitting at a desk all day: the neck, shoulders, and upper and lower back. Yee's videos always feel as much like meditation as yoga. His soothing voice and slow pace is so relaxing, along with the peaceful locations (this one is filmed on a grassy hill in Maui, overlooking the ocean). This video contains lots of "down dog" and "upward dog" moves, along with a few backbends and even some leg stretches to balance out all the upper body work. And don't be afraid of the backbends! He starts slow with moves that will prepare your back for this!』
(Beginner?) 『I have mixed feelings about this and other tapes in the Living Arts/Gaiam series. I feel that they offer good workouts, but are NOT for beginners.
I'm familiar with yoga postures, having had a daily practice over 10 years ago. But Rodney Yee never offers modifications for the postures or ways to build up to being able to do them.
A backbend? I haven't managed a full backbend that easily since I was 12. He doesn't offer ANY tips on how to build the strength to get there.
He has the student go into a "push-up" position, which requires a great deal of tricep strength and no way to build to that point. (The way to build to it would be to start in plank pose and slowly lower down.)
If you are a true beginner with little strength or flexibility, stick with Yoga Zone or Linda Arkin until you are stronger.』

I consider myself to be a yoga beginner with limited flexibility, but I was able to perform the majority of the poses on this tape. The first time I tried it, I thought that there was no way I would EVER be able to lift myself into a backbend, but on my second time through, I was able to briefly raise myself off the ground. This video is definitely challenging, especially given the fast pace, and I would recommend being well-rested before giving it a try. However, with some practice, it is certainly doable for beginners, and I highly recommend Rodney Yee for motivating, expert instruction.』

(There's No Place Like OM) 『I've noticed that there are a few people who frequent amazon and they appear a little uptight. For the most part, I have received some really beautiful and wonderful comments on my 300+ reviews, but ocasionally I'll get someone who is either just a very agitated individual or has their underwear on backwards and they'll just rip into me. Luckily, I do practice meditation and prayer on a daily basis and I am gradually learning how to extend the feelings that I receive in those daily practices into those activities that may appear as mundane and trivial but are still part of the spiritual journey and this CD has really helped to make a huge shift in my life and as we know all too well on this spiritual journey, shift definitely happens.
I've been listening to this CD for well over eight months now and sometimes I chant along with it but for the most part I just listen and when I listen to it the first thing in the morning my day seems to flow more. I mean, Life is always in a "flow state" but there are times...many times...where we are just in that space of resistance and we block our good.
I sometimes laugh when I hear people say, "God always is saying 'no' to me..." I wonder how many times we are saing "no" to God because God is always presenting Itself fully and completely in each and every moment but it's our limited perspective on things that block the good that we desire to experience.
Fortunately, however, just chanting with this CD or even listening to this CD a few minutes a day helps "lift" the veil that seems to between the seen and the unseen. It just gets you in that space/that place of awareness where you begin to vibrate a deep inner knowing that everything is just as it needs to be - even those people with the tight Fruit-of-the Looms are just who they need to be.

In fact the first time I played this cd to class I wasn't expecting this song, and when it came on with it's long low OM and this tapping or loud clicking sound that is interjected into the chant,I just about popped out of my pose. I turned the music down, apologized and continued teaching without music. Don't get me wrong I love 'yoga music', and I love the om mani padme hum chants. I own many yoga cds and make my own mixes for teaching classes but this cd sits in the back of the collection. It serves as a reminder that I should listen to the whole cd before deciding to play it in class.』

IPhone 3G used's review (This is a one of a kind DVD, I loved it, it helped me so much!) 『You cannot find any other DVD like this. What Sri Yogi Hari Presents in it really helps one to establish a good foundation in Nada Yoga. It teaches you the basics for playing the Harmonium (keyboard instrument) which helps you to develop awareness of the natural notes of the music scale. It includes several Alankaars (exercises on the Harmonium) and counting with the Alankaars to establish rythm and balance. After you have that foundation you will be able to play so many chants and Bhajans just by listening to them. This is how i started playing the Harmonium, and it really helped me. It also helped me improve my chanting. The DVD also includes breathing exercises (to wake up "Prana" - life force, and develop concentration and breath control; this is very beneficial for chanting) and exercises to develop rythm; these exercises seem really basic, but to do them perfectly (and this is what yoga is about) takes much practice. Sri Yogi Hari is not trying to sell anything on this DVD, he teaches how to play the harmonium which they sell in his Ashram for $750 dollars. That is really a good price and they are top quality Harmoniums! Yogi Hari is not trying to misslead anyone, he is trying to pass down the perfect knowledge that he recieved from his Guru, Swami Nada-Brahmananda. ofcourse people expect to learn all kinds of complicated stuff, but for that to happen, you first need to lay a good foundation, and that is what Sri Yogi hari does on this DVD. It is true Nada Yoga, because it helps one to develop concentration and focus of mind, which prepare the mind for meditaiton. What Shri Hari is playing or what you say "trying to sell you" is a SITAR. Are you unlearned? I personally have one and it is a very NICE student sitar, got from somewhere else a long time ago and u know what it was? Around $900.00. They are NOT cheap instruments. A good sitar is priceless, like a guitar by Fender or whatever.. He is trying to sell you one of his because he teaches SITAR as well and wouldnt it be better to learn from a master with one of his than someone else's whose isnt tuned properly and could possibly be damaged from the boat it came on from India? He most likely has many available and im sure they are wonderful Sitars. That is NOT a pricey price either. Thats actually a good deal. But alas I already have one, and it is to be blessed by Shri Yogi Hari as well as my Tabla. It is one of the most difficult instruments in this world to play. Besides the tabla, it is probably the hardest. He also teaches yoga asana and all other types of yoga to people at his ashram in Florida. He has many devotees and is a highly respected Guru. Why did you even buy or watch this dvd? What exactly were you looking for? You dont even know what a sitar is !!! I KNOW this DVD is NOT an infomercial, and it is un-wise of you to publicly diss a Guru of his lineage. Ever heard of Swami Sivananda from Bihar? Thats the Line he comes from. VERY highly respected. Sir, I suggest you do your research before leaving 1-star comments on a beautiful wonderful person, and Guru such as Shri Yogi Hari. This dvd is VERY GOOD.
