IPhone 3G used's review (A Magi-cal Game) 『When I saw the GBC Magi Nation sitting alone one the shelves full of GBA games, I had to rescue it! I'm so glad I did!
When I started playing it, I thought, "Oh! It's a mix of Zelda and Pokemon!" That's true in as much as you control Dream Creatures and fight evil in an RPG style. There's items and different worlds and wonderful characters. However, it's not as bright and cheery as Pokemon or Zelda, hence the title of the review. When you get into a new village, they don't welcome you with open arms like in Pokemon or Zelda. There's death and psychological horror. When you "beat the boss", it's not like it solves everything. There are different possible endings. I played through the end twice, trying to change what happened. Both times it ended up the same, but it had a little more closure the second time. Still, it left me sad. I don't know if there is a happy ending. That really tips you off that it's a very different game from the aforementioned ones.
In the game, you play the role of Tony Jones. I really like him. This is the time you're supposed to say, "He's not real - you know that, right?" He might as well be. He's very realistic. I especially appreciated his comments on everything. Never be afraid to click to find out. The script writing is very consistent, and the "extras" are worth it! By extras, I mean the furniture and the books. Tony will comment on the comfort of the beds, and he will read the titles of the books. There's a great one in the underground. It actually had me laughing. I really enjoy the subtle humor in the game. It made it so much more enjoyable. In every new place, I would spend a while looking around for things so Tony could comment on them.
I didn't think the game was short. Either that or I'm really bad at playing it! I spent way too much time on this game, but I loved every minute of it (except when I was lost in the "jail"). I have a very bad sense of direction, and the dungeons are very long. You can't save the game except for when you're on the large map or at an inn. I spent several hours on the "jail" and still didn't find the exit. I had to restart it (due to the inability to save) and finally found it!
I also liked how there are different ways to play through the game. For example, you can take the easy way out of the jail, or you could try and save the prisoners. I missed something in there, but it involved a screwdriver...There's so much in the game that I would think it's worth playing again! You also get choices to make, like whether or not to return the master key...Why am I so conscientious?
The battles are pretty simple, once you get used to your options. The thing I didn't like was that you couldn't see how much energy your creatures had until you chose their attacks. So if you wanted to heal someone but couldn't remember who was hit last round, it's a guess.
My only real complaint (besides the save issue) is that there are strange limits with items. Also, if you use items to increase your creature's abilities, it resets when it levels up! The use of the word "permanently" in battle was confusing. For example, Updraft raises all of your creatures speeds permanently. But it's back to normal after the battle. Maybe "for the entire battle" is better.
This is the first "American" game I've played. It's made by Interactive Imagination, which is based in Seattle. Of course it's licensed by Nintendo and made in Japan, but it was still a new experience for me. It lacks the blatant cuteness of many Nintendo games, but it was still worthwhile and different from the others.
Overall, Tony makes this game worthwhile. It's deep in both gameplay and storyline. I would recommend it to anyone who still has a Gameboy color (yay!).
The best reason to buy this game is that it comes with sheet music for the Nostalgie! Doesn't that sell the game by itself?』
(Popular T/CCG Gets Pixelated) 『With the rising popularity of the Magi-Nation Trading/Collectible Card game, the guys and gals at I2 decided a vidoe game was in order.
The game itself is easy to learn, and quick addict. You are Tony Jones, a regular kid in our world. He gets bullied into retrieving crystals from a cave, and is transported to the Mooonlands. Once in the Moondlands, the Naroom people will explain how animite, rings, summoning, and dream creatures work. You explore a mass of worlds, each with their own unique elements, music, and creatures.
Magi Nation is a wonderful game. Although lacking in some aspects, it is still worth picking it up to anyone who is a fan of the card game, and even someone who is just starting out.
The music is beautiful. Tools werebrought out by Factor5, and did an amazing job with bringing out memorable tracks.
Gameplay is easy to learn. Although some of the menus have difficulting with scrolling and cancelling selections, they are easy to overcome.
Graphics are an interesting cut above, with short cut scenes that display chosen attacks and spells during battles. Up to four creatures can be summoned in any battle. Magi battles give a feel of boss fights, as well as a challenge.
Leveling up creatures is EXTREMELY tedious, and one of the only downfalls of the game. Energy consumption is insane when battling. But, no one ever said games had to be easy. Still, the battling system is generally unique in comparison with other RPG's.
4/5 stars is my rating. The game makes you think with plenty of puzzles, the music will be stuck in your head forever, and it is simply ingenious.

(A Good Game, but Missing Some Things.) 『This is a great RPG for GBC. It is probably one of the best out there for this system. The battle system is a unique mix between card battling and pokemon-style. The graphics and sounds are stunning (for a GBC game) and the plot is very dark and mysterious. The witty remarks of Tony keep the game humorous. However, there are many flaws. 1: There are dozens of locked doors that you can never enter, and it always leaves you wondering. 2: There are 5 unattainable Dream Creatures; Platheus, Sphor, Bolt Hyren, Thunder Hyren, and Core Hyren. They are on the ring lists, you just never fight them in the wild to get their animite. 3: There are many parts of the game that seem glitchy (Ormagon) and you would never guess the way to do them without a guide. And, last but not least, there are only 5 different worlds! The game is not really that long, it just seems long because of the shadow geysers. They should remake this game for GBA with new worlds like Nar, D'Resh, the Weave, Paradwyn, and Kybar's Teeth, and include all of the dream creatures that they left out.』
(very fun game but don't buy it if you only have a gba only!!) 『u must have a game boy color to play this game i put it in my gba and it was all dark and i couldn't see a thing good thing i have a gbc. thats all other than that the best gbc game every played.』
(O.K.) 『The game starts out good. It's pretty interesting, the graphics are good and being able to cast spells yourself is pretty cool. But then it seems to go down hill. The dungeons get repetetive and there aren't the many creatures to choose from. But as you go along everyone in the game hates you and it starts to get boring. It is very hard to find any guides if you get stuck as well.』 『People from the Eliwan race have been able to summon wonderful creatures to life from their dreams since before anyone could remember. But these magi have also been plagued by Agram, an evil ruler long ago trapped by the forefathers in the core of the moon, and who unleashes nightmarish creatures on the peaceful Eliwan. You play the part of Tony Jones, a stranger to the land and whose destiny is to confront the evil that lives below.
In the fantasy role-playing gameMagi Nation, you'll use the mineral-based magic of the Eliwan to battle Agram's fierce monsters. You'll explore colorful, otherworldly landscapes as you journey through to the game's conclusion.
IPhone 3G used's review (Crack that little whip Indy, and I mean little!) 『I did enjoy this game, but it did give me headaches. The screen is so small. You can't even see Indy's head. Actually, his hat is his head in this game. The puzzles are simillar to it's PC and N64 companions. Sometimes, you can't figure out the puzzles, and you end up running around the level for an hour looking for some way to beat it. If you are a serious Indy fan like me, you will want this game. But if you have never played the other games, and not a fan, stay away!』
(poor format) 『I prefer the formats of Donkey Kong, Tombraider, Wario and Mario. The Zelda and Pokemon formats aren't for me....so the format of Indianna Jones...I wasn't thrilled with. Characters are too small.』
(A real disappointment) 『Frankly, I expected more from LucasArts. I've played other games by them, including the N64 version of this title, and they were excellent. But the GBC version has poor graphics, poor control. It's hard to figure out what to do, and even harder to do it. The button use is unnatural, it's very easy to die with a misstep. The password save system is old and outmoded. I don't know what else to say about it. It just doesn't live up to the Indy name.』

However, many of the key parts are missing. It is up to you as Indiana Jones to search the globe and recover the pieces before the Soviets do. You will have to run, jump, swim, and fight his way through 19 levels of action. Luckily, you can use a whip, pistol, machine gun, and grenades on the Soviet soldiers, spiders, scorpions, snakes, wolves, jaguars, sharks, jellyfish, and poisonous lice you encounter. After completing a level, you will be treated to a cinematic clip that will advance the plot and reveal the password you need to continue the game. The world will only be safe when the missing parts are recovered and the Communist threat is quelled in INDIANA JONES AND THE INFERNAL MACHINE.』

(One of my favorites.) 『I love the blend of action/comedy. They are a great duo in this movie. The action is just awesome and the jokes are well placed. A must buy.』
(Watcha Goona Do When they come for you, bad boys, bad boys) 『will smith&Martin Lawrence return for more action&comedy in bad boys 2. this time they'll make you laugh untile you pee. this movie is really good. it's a must see. if you liked the first then you'll like this one.』
(Bad Boys 2) 『I just love this movie. With these two actors you always in for some fun.』
(BEST MOVIE EVER MADE!) 『In my opinion I believe this movie is the best movie ever made. I really hope they make a Bad Boys III. A must own!!』 『Hang on for maximum mayhem, full-on fun and the wildest chase scenes ever put on film! The action and comedy never stop when superstars Martin Lawrence and Will Smith reunite as out-of-control trash-talking buddy cops. Bullets fly, cars crash, and laughs explode as they pursue a whacked-out drug lord from the streets of Miami to the barrios of Cuba. But the real fireworks result when Lawrence discovers that playboy Smith is secretly romancing his sexy sister, Gabrielle Union (Bring it On). Director Michael Bay (Pearl Harbor, Armageddon) and producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean, Black Hawk Down) deliver a high-speed, high-octane blockbuster that will blow you away! "...Year's most action-packed and high-flying flick." (Shawn Edwards, FOX TV).』 『No one goes to a movie directed by Michael Bay for delicacy and grace; you go because Michael Bay (Armageddon,The Rock) knows how to make your bones rattle during a high-speed chase when a car flips over, spins through the air, and smacks another car with a visceral crunch.Bad Boys IIfulfills this expectation and then some. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence may be mere puppets amid all this burning rubber and shrieking metal, but they actually provide a human core to the endless cascade of car wrecks and gunfights. Their easy rapport makes their personal problems--a running joke is Lawrence's attempts at anger management--as engaging as the sheer visual hullabaloo of bullets and explosions. The plot is recycled nonsense about drug lords and dead bodies being used to smuggle drugs, but orchestration of violence is symphonic. If that's your thing, then this is for you.--Bret Fetzer』
IPhone 3G used's review (Best Game I Have) 『This year I got this game for my B-day in May and in June I beat it. It isn't as difficult as other reviews make it seem. The graphics, music, and puzzles is what made this game terrific for me. I, personally like a challenging game, one that you don't win in a month, but not one that takes years to figure out. This game isn't wimpy or too hard, it's right in the middle. I would highly reccommend Montezuma's Return to anyone.
If you gamers out there think it's too hard for you try these codes: ELEPHANT and NL8CKYLQ
Thank You』
(Awesome game!) 『Montezuma's Return is one of the best games I have. It has better features than the Atari version I have and is more challenging. I personally like the fact that there is a save mode and a map. Game designers are improving game classics and definitely have made this one terrific.』
(Gamer) 『If you, like me, bought this game because you remembered how much fun it's p.c. predecessor was, you'll be sourly disappointed. It has none of the creative puzzles, it is very difficult, there are unpredictable collisions that cause you to die, and the things you interact with are not interesting or original in the least. Unless your a dihard platform game lover, do not buy this game.』
(Not the best game.) 『Not the most challenging or easy to use game. Does not have a way to save the game, just long complex codes at different levels.』
(If you like challing games this is for you) 『This game is one of the most difficult games I have. One of the reasons is for example, on the first level if you go right after you get the key you'll have to start from the very begining agin. For unlimeted lives type in elphant.』 『You are out to find the Aztec treasure in MONTEZUMA'S RETURN. The only skills you have are wits and your jumping ability. You must navigate 150 screens, each of which is constructed of platforms, ladders, poles, and rope. Use the elements of the screen to collect all of the treasure and move on to the next area. However, there are a large number of enemies out to stop you including rolling skulls, spiders, snakes, Aztec guards, scorpions, and spikes. Touch any of these hazards and it's Game Over. Luckily, you can pick up new abilities along the way, like walking through enemies and killing an attacker with one touch. IPhone 3G used's review (The Game That Should Honored) 『I saw that Shantae was coming out with Shantae advance. I tottally freaked out! I got hold of Shantae color when I went to the flea market (whoever started that rumor that it has fleas it does not) for 15$. I was bored one day and looked it up on the internet. I found out it was way more worth than we had paid for it! Another I told the lady who sold it to me she also freaked out. I also hope Shantae advance comes out around June 9(my birthday). I also know that Shantae was the first game to come out when Game Boy advance was out (that explains why it is has GBA extra)and the last to come out on GBC (Game Boy Color). I hope to have Shantae advance when it comes out. But the keep moving the release date.』
(The best GBC challening game) 『It is hard but fun. I like it because it is challeging and not a pushover. There are a lot of locations. Some harder to get than others. It seems like an everlasting game!』

(Cute little game) 『Ever since the Game Boy Advance hit the market exactly a year ago, the Game Boy Color titles have pretty much slowed to a virtual trickle. Most people have moved onto the more advanced hardware...rightfully so, but it's a shame if their mentality will sway them away from GBC games from now on. Shantae, actually in development for more than two years, has finally hit the market thanks to Capcom...and while it's no Game Boy Advance-specific production, it's a stunning production nonetheless and Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color gamers alike should not pass this one up. Shantae follows the adventures of a sexy half-genie girl set out to stop the sexy pirate girl Risky Boots from acquiring the relics that will enable her to start the stolen steam engine and rule the land. Players assume the role of Shantae and take her across many different lands, whipping enemies with her hair, collecting money to purchase new attacks and moves. Shantae can walk, run, attack, and, when available, perform dances that will alter her form. This Game Boy Color game is very much like Castlevania and Super Metroid, in the sense that you can only gain access to future portions of the level. Turn into a monkey, for example, and she'll be able to climb up to high platforms and leap higher...but without the ability to attack enemies. Turn into a half-bird type thing and you the sky's the limit. Half the challenge is to know when you'll need to use your powers to get through to the next part of the game. The game also features a bit of strategy, since you can (and should) acquire and utilize offensive and defensive items to get through some of the toughest locations in the game. WayForward Technologies, the developer of previous Game Boy Color games such as Xtreme Sports, Wendy: Every Witch Way, and Sabrina: the Animated Series, is responsible for this superb looking and playing side-scrolling action/adventure on the handheld. Most of WayForward's previous GBC games have one thing in common: a shared game engine for each of their designs, giving their titles a similar look and feel even though each one is significantly different in their own way. Shantae uses the WayForward GBC engine at its absolute peak, showing off elements that push the Game Boy Color hardware almost into Game Boy Advance territory. You'll find multi-scrolling backgrounds, water transparencies, night and day effects...if this game was released during the prime of the Game Boy Color life, it would have set a serious standard for other GBC developers to reach. The character animations alone are downright stunning...Shantae herself is just a work of pixel art by herself, and each enemy has several frames of animation to their design, offering a smooth, professional look to their motions. But it's not just the look of the game that makes the game such a stunner. Levels are absolutely gigantic with several clever puzzle ideas throughout the adventure. The dynamic day-to-night-to-day effect increases the replay of the levels since hidden items only show up during one of the two time during the day. And it's obvious that the extra time in development has benefited the production of Shantae, so much that the developer created a handful of decent minigames throughout the adventure. And though the game isn't written specifically for the Game Boy Advance, playing Shantae on the newer system will unlock new items, abilities, and brighten the colors up...most GBC games end up a bit darker on the GBA LCD screen, but WayForward adjusts the colors to make them more vibrant on the Advance system. As excellent as the game is, the design isn't flawless. The camera tends to latch onto Shantae, putting her directly in the center of the screen. Since she's a pretty big sprite, it limits the view of the level around her. You'll be forced to do those annoying "leaps of faith" in unfamiliar territory, basically jumping off ledges to reach parts of the level that do not fit on the screen...it would have benefited the game design had the developers given players the ability to scroll the screen around the immediate area. And because some of the levels are just so darn big, the game could have used an automapping feature similar to what Castlevania and Metroid use to orient the gamer. You've had exactly a year to train those eyes to scan the Game Boy shelf for the "Only for Game Boy Advance" border on the left-hand side of game boxes?but now it's time to teach yourself to look for the "Game Boy Color" border one last time. Shantae is one of the best on the GBC system, and its success on the system pretty much will decide whether or not this genie lass will make it to the big time in the form of Shantae GBAor, even more ambitiously, Shantae PS2, Xbox or GameCube. And you'll be there on the ground floor, able to tell your friends you were a Shantae fan since the very beginning? Seriously, the game is a wonderful platform adventure with excellent puzzle elements, as well as having tons of variety in its level and character design. Shantae looks fantastic as a Game Boy Color game, and pretty darn good on the Game Boy Advance?comparatively speaking, of course. Shantae is in seriously limited release because of the game's lack of familiar branding and lowered demand for GBC product, so get out there and pick this girl up.』
(Best Game Boy Game Ever!!!) 『Many people think Shantae is a kiddy game, but that is the biggest lie I've ever heard! Shantae is a game that I love, I was waiting for a month for it to come out. Anyway, Shantae is a game that all kinds of people can like, I even know some boys that like it! Shantae is a creative game that gives you a fun and action packed adventure. In Shantae you will find fun characters, cool bosses, far out items and awsome upgrades! If you don't know as you get closer and closer to your goal you will get the chance to buy new fighter's gear, learn squid dances and learn tranceform dances which alow you to change into a monkey, elephent, spider, harpy and a secret dance, the TinkerBat dance! I usualy hate gameboy music but in Shantae I find the music to be fine, not the best, but not something that will drive you nuts. If you go to GameZone.com you may know that Shantae is a level HARD game but don't let that scare you, I [stink] at video games and even I beat it. Shantae is the funest gameboy game, I kind of wish I was still only part way finished but, you win some, you lose some. The graphics are the best part of the game, this game is said to have the best graphics of any oher GameBoy Color game. There are 3 mini games in the game.I give Shantae a 5 star rating!』 『Shantaeis a side-view adventure-quest game featuring a belly-dancing genie in search of a diabolical lady pirate named Risky Boots, who has stolen plans to a new invention. Shantae (the genie in question) can obliterate enemies with her whiplike hair, and shakes her booty to transform into different creatures. She must stop Risky and save the land from destruction. This Game Boy Color game also features special enhancements that come to life when played on the Game Boy Advance.
Shantaeoffers 75 fully animated enemies and 50 day and night areas. Each character's transformation is associated with a song. Players are challenged to make Shantae do a transformation dance by matching the notes and timing of the melody. There are also dozens of magical weapons, perplexing labyrinths, and treacherous boss characters. A secret room is unlocked whenShantaeis played on a Game Boy Advance.』

IPhone 3G used's review (TOM AND JERRY Rev.) 『Tom and Jerry is an intertaining game. It's 22 levels get kinda repetative, but they are fun because they're challenging. As you play the game u get codes that act as a save to return to a level. This game is pretty hard. You have to be good at the controls and have patients to keep replaying each level. This is a fun game to play every once in a while, but DO NOT play it OFTEN or you will become bored. Maybe every 2 wks.』 『Fans ofThe Simpsonsknow that Itchy and Scratchy are code for the long-running cat and mouse cartoon duo Tom and Jerry. IPhone 3G used's review (OVERALL GREAT PUZZLE GAME) 『This is a really good puzzle game. The closest I can think of to relating it with another game in terms of gameplay would be Adventures of Lolo. The game could have been alittle better in as far as your characters action abilities such as jumping and weapons but it is still a great game. Toki Tori must rescue all his egg buddies that have been kidnapped and scattered throughout the game. Once you have grabbed a certain ammount of eggs back you advance to the next stage. Each stage is timed and you are given just enough tools in your possesion to complete a level at a time. The game does get really tough on your brain though making it a really challenging puzzle game for all ages.』
(Another Excellent puzzle game) 『This is a wonderful puzzle game. You must use the tools you are given to figure out how to collect all of the eggs in the level. You can create crates, freeze enemies, suck up enemies, dig holes with the ghost, move objects, telewarp, become a bubble and float, and more. There are four levels with 10 puzzles each, and then 5 hard puzzles in each level. You do not need to complete the hard puzzles to continue. You really need to study each puzzle closely to determine which tools to use where. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys puzzle solving and has a lot of patience.』
(Excellent puzzle solving game) 『I am an adult who is addicted to puzzle games (see Puzzled). This game is very challenging. You must gather all of the eggs in a certain area using special tools. You can build bridges, telewarp, suck up bad guys, move bricks, drop crates etc. You must study the level and figure out how to use the tools you are given to get to all of the eggs. You can retry a level over and over until you figure it out, but you can't continue until you do. This is not a game for an impatient person. It can take hours to solve one puzzle. (...)』

(A review before release?) 『Hi,
