IPhone 3G used's review (An enjoyable Zelda you can take with you) 『I notice a pattern with Zelda releases: when they're on Nintendo's main machines likes the Nintendo 64(Ocarina of Time) or the Wii(Twilight Princess), there's an unbelievable amount of hype and press that kicks in. The handheld stuff though gets raves from fans yet they barely register in terms of hype. Originally planned as a trilogy, Nintendo decided to make Link's next handheld adventure be a dual deal with Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages released simultaneously. Essentially they're the same game with minor alterations but boy do you have fun regardless.
Story: Each game revolves around the need to rescue a princess and in this case it's Din, the Oracle of Seasons. With her kidnapped, the seasons are thrown out of balance which can potentially mean that there could be endless winter or quick shifts from summer to fall and back again. And of course it's up to Link to rescue her from Onyx.
Graphics: Keep in mind that this is Game Boy Color so it probably won't have the dazzle that Minish Cap managed to pull off. Hell, it doesn't even look as sharp as Link to the Past. What it is though is vibrant and colorful and this game in particular just looks so rich. The game also has some anime-style still cut scenes to tell the story which is a nice touch.
Sound/Music: Obviously no voice acting since this is GBC, not to mention a Zelda game. Where the game shines though as the series always has is in its music. While it probably doesn't have that instant purchase that Ocarina or Link to the Past was, it's nonetheless an enjoyable soundtrack that fits the mood for places perfectly.
Gameplay: Zelda games on the GBC are pretty much the same as something like Link to the Past but in one sole difference: your inventory. While in LttP, you had to actually go to your screen for each individual item. Ocarina and onwards made it so that you can carry 3. Here it's 2. While it's weird to get used to, some bosses require you change items on the fly and I had no problem. There's some new items such as Rod of Seasons which you can use to progress in the game. An example is something is only accessible if you freeze a lake and provide a pathway then go back to spring and get the item.
The big thing here is the password system. Essentially Seasons and Ages were meant to be bought at the same time; unlike Pokemon where you bought one and a friend bought the other, in order to get the most of Oracle series, you beat one and you get a password. Jot it down, start up the other and input the password and continue from there. Also, NPC's can give you passwords which you tell to people in the other game to get special items. While it gets slightly tedious to have to go back and forth all the time, the items tend to be well worth it.
Now for people who are wondering, Seasons is the more accessible in terms of new Zelda players or in difficulty. This is more action-oriented and it's a bit more forgiving. So if you're more of the action type, pick Seasons. But in the end, you should just buy both since you'll probably think "well since I beat one of them..."』
(This Awesome game) 『This game is cool, I would buy both ages and seasons though. If you only want to get one I would recamend seasons.』
(Absorbing and Fun) 『Last summer I got a job working as a night security man at a warehouse. I bought and started playing Oracle of Seasons to help pass the time during those nights.
The game was excellent. It's a classic, tried and true Zelda adventure. Often, I would get so absorbed in this game that I lost track of time. I remember one night playing this game for what seemed like an hour only to look up and see that three hours had passed!
My favorite part of Oracle of Seasons was the bosses. I would be so motivated to get through each dungeon just because I wanted to see what the next bizzarre boss would be like. And once at the boss, it was always fun and challenging figuring out the strategy needed to beat him.
Anyway, I'm sure we all know that this game is awesome, and so I'm not going to repeat the praises given in the other reviews. Instead I will now discuss the few flaws and why I only gave this game four stars.
First, the puzzles aren't challenging enough. While they might give a thirteen year old a hard time, they're pretty easy by adult standards. There wasn't one puzzle in the game where I couldn't just stop and think for a second to get the answer, often it was just a matter of finding a tree stump to change the season, and that's not hard either considering you have a map that tells you where all the tree stumps are.
Also, the ring system was kind of annoying. Link can find rings, but before he can use them he has to get them appraised and equipped at the ring shop. I can understand having to get them appraised, but it gets a bit tedious having to go back to the ring shop every time you want to equip a different ring.
Finally, I think they could have made the plot better. When I played Link's Awakening for gameboy I was very interested in the plot. I was curious about the Wind Fish and what would happen when I beat the game and woke him up. Oracle of Seasons plot doesn't have that element of suspense or curiousity. (They do give you a password at the end to play Oracle of Ages, but even though this is a really good game, after spending thrity or so hours playing Oracle of Seasons the last thing I want to do is run out and buy an nearly identical game. Password or no password.)』
(Great Game) 『Oracle of Seasons is definately a great game. I've played it many times (beaten final boss once), and it doesn't get boring. I had no idea it was meant to be really action packed compared to Ages though. I didn't think it was too hard at all although the 6th boss does really make your thumbs ache! I haven't really played Ages yet, but i've just got it and am about a third of the way through, but i think Seasons is much better.』
(WWAAAAAAAYYYYY Too hard) 『I'm good at puzzle games and I like them. But this is too hard. Getting 1 sword will be hard for beginners or any gamers. You must have to have the Stragety Guide memorized in your brain to beat this. You should not ever get a Zelda game(unless you're up for the challenge). Don't get this.』 『Game Boy Color entry into the series, coded by Capcom. Taking place in the world of Holodrum, far removed from the land of Hyrule, Link must embark on a quest that will see him traverse the land in its entirety in search of the Oracle of Seasons. By obtaining the Rod of Seasons, Link is able to manipulate the seasons by waving the wand atop any nearby tree stump. The landscape changes with each season, and though trees will be in full bloom in summer, during the winter months they'll lose their leaves, enabling Link to squeeze past them and enter new areas. Simultaneously released with Oracle of Ages, the two games are interconnected via a password feature』 『One of two new Zelda games for the Game Boy Color,The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasonsis the more action-focused title of the duo. The Triforce has alerted Link to trouble in the land of Holodrum, where the General of Darkness has kidnapped Din, the Oracle of Seasons. The villain hopes to transform Holodrum into a wasteland by changing the order of seasons. It's up to you to help Link save Holodrum by rescuing Din.
The game features more combat and fewer puzzles than its sister, making it better suited for younger gamers. Its mechanics and menus are similar to those found inLink's Awakening, also for the Game Boy. This is classic overhead role-playing at its best. The key item in this game is the rod of seasons, which allows Link to change seasons at will. For example, an impassable lake becomes a quick stroll by using the rod to change seasons from summer to winter.
Although this game is extremely enjoyable on its own, you'll want to use it in conjunction with its sister title:Oracle of Ages. After you complete one game you'll be given a password that lets you begin with all your items, statistics, and progress intact in the other. Certain characters will appear only by playing both games. By using a link cable, players can trade items. Game Boy Advance users will find a store that's exclusive to them.
While this is one of the best Game Boy titles ever, a truly sublime experience can be had playing it with its companion title.--Raymond M. Padilla
Pros:
Hours of outstanding gameplay
Great as a standalone; outstanding in conjunction with its sister game
Nice bonuses for Game Boy Advance owners
Cons:
Lots of reused sound effects from previous Zelda games
Longtime gamers might find the story and level design contrived
Your thumbs will get sore from all the battles
』 『One of the most highly esteemed digital adventures is back on your Game Boy Color console in two new games:Oracle of SeasonsandOracle of Ages. Both are independent games, but when they're linked between two Game Boy Color consoles via the separately sold Game Link cable, players can share items, uncover story elements, and unlock hidden areas in each game.
InOracle of Seasons, players help Link embark on a quest to recover the Essences of Nature. To do so, he must first find the Rod of Seasons, a magical item that lets Link transform the landscape into the season of his choice, helping him overcome obstacles and solve puzzles. Ricky the kangaroo, Moosh the winged bear, and Dimitri the dodongo accompany Link on this adventure.
Using the Harp of Ages, Link must travel through time and space to save Nayru, the eponymous prophet inOracle of Ages, who's been kidnapped by the evil sorceress Veran. By learning new melodies to play on the harp, players will travel to the past and affect changes in the present to solve the game's varied puzzles.』

In the game, you have to create your own team and edit their profile and skills before you can play in the game's campaign mode. I have played about ten games in main career game and I haven't won once. It's because of the create-a-team that isn't that good yet. You only have a limited amount of points that you can use to enhance your team, so some members are better than others. I just wish that there was an option to play other teams besides the one I created in career mode, but there isn't. So overall, the game is frustrating but fun, so buy at your own risk.』
(Off the chain football action) 『This game is mad tight. The pick-up games are fun when you get to have a team with D-Mac, T.O., Charles Woodson, and Simeon Rice. I hate though when you got a team on the ropes that they can come back. That's the problem I'm having with Tampa Bay in the ladder challenge. Someone tell me how to beat them so I can defeat The NFC South. Otherwise it's a great game.』
(good start) 『Well This game could have been much more instead the developers got lazy and decided to leave it as is.Not saying that the game isn't very good mind u...but it could have been jus as good as nba street 2. Graphics: The players look really good and this could be the game where nfl players get real pub, cuz is the real nfl u can't even see their faces. The fields are so so.... could have used a lil more fans on the side watchin and cheerin. but over all the game looks very nice...full of color and awesome animation.
Sound:Real cool sound.Except the player chatter is kinda corny and repetitive.. the music is cool but the ingame music should have been real music instead of the stupid 3 instrumentals u get. The game shines with the tackle sounds...damn when u get hit it sounds like a car crash VERY nice indeed.
Replay:not much the developers thought it best to set the game so when all your tokens run out u can't replay the other challenges to unlock all the plays and logos and stuff... this is Stupid!!!! The legends in the game are nice...but only a handful which really sux cuz there are better guys that could have been added.』
(Fun) 『This game is very fun if your good at it. Thepays are cool and the way that the game can go out of control with one fumble or interception. Yes this game was a rip off of NBA street but who cares if they can pull it off more power too em. FIFA Street will come out pretty soon.』
(Sweet Game) 『NFL street is cool because of the graphes. You can do a quick game and be a real team. You can make your own team on a pickup game aganst your enimes in the NFL. If you want to unlock stuff play an NFL challenge.』 『NFL Street has the hard-hitting football action that true fans of the game want. Play in the park, backyards and sandlots of America with legendary NFLplayers!』 『Given the success ofNBA Streetit was only a matter of time before EA Sports took the street concept to its flagship sport, football. And even though there really is no such thing as street football, the concept is a winner. Straight up smash mouth football with no penalties and no clock--just the ball, the field, seven vs. seven playing offense and defense, all for the glory of the game? Boom! Wap!
The game licenses all the NFL teams and some 100 big-league players. The characters models are exaggerated, so don't expect likenesses to be exact, but it's fun taking a bunch of current Packer greats and stuffing the rock down the throats of seven Rams. Game modes let you choose players from single teams or create your own pro bowl, and there is a nice assortment of QBs, RBs, corners, WRs, tight ends, and O and D-linemen. There's a lot of strategy in picking your team. Sure, running backs and quarterbacks are givens, but a corner can intercept better than a wide receiver though he won't catch as well. A big offensive lineman can be useful, but he doesn't tackle well when forced to play defense. When playing two-player, you can really stack your line and shut down the enemy passing or running attack, or go for a balanced corp.
You can play a ladder or league by creating your own team, which is annoyingly time consuming. An option to draft your own NFL stars and go through would be nice, instead you have to pick a cadre of nobodies and fill out their stats. Pick a name, a logo, and try to beat the pros with your average Joes. Winning gives you points and you can upgrade from there. It's a nice option but only for the hardcore players; casual players are effectively shut out from continuing play because of it.
EA hired "street" artists to design wonderful load screens, but this makes the player models look dull by comparison. One wishes they had used cel shading and that street look to the characters, but instead we get freakish players that generally look the same. Uninspired, un-intimidating, and, frankly, boring.
The gameplay works. There's a nice assortment of offensive, defensive, and trick plays. There are no special teams, no punting, and extra points are two points for a pass, one for a run. Mastering the buttons is key because the game rewards style, impressive plays, and more. Gathering these points opens new playing fields and, if you like, can be a victory option. The computer is programmed to catch up when behind, annoyingly so, so this is more of a blast against a human opponent. The fast action and brutal hits are reminiscent ofNFL Blitz(which is a better game) but EA Big has started something here. Next year this could be really big.--Andrew S. Bub --this text refers to the PlayStation2 version of the game』

IPhone 3G used's review (Great Accesory!) 『This little gizmo is awesome. Do you ever find your self battleing the Elite 4 in pokemon, or any other final boss, and then all of a sudden your batteries die! Right when you were ready to defeat him!!!! Well, the adapter lets you play for HOURS, DAYS, MONTHS, AND YEARS, without purchasing a single battery. The adapter can be pluged in to the outlet behind your couch, or six feat away from your couch, and you still get to sit on the comfy couch. And Best of all, it works for Game Boy AND Game Boy color. If you are a gamer that plays for HOURS, than this is for you. If you just play for 5 minutes at a time, dont bother with it. So go get your favorite Game Boy game like Pokemon, Harvest Moon, or Links Awakening, and find a comfortable spot at least 6 feat away from a outlet, and GAME ON!』
(great!) 『This item is very handy to have if you are playing your gameboy in the house and don't want to waste batteries!!!!!!』
(Continuous Playing Time for Game Boy Color or Pocket) 『This is a perfect item for those people who love to play their Game Boy. It's small and compact, so it fits almost anywhere you want to store it. If you're sick of having to buy batteries or tired of having rechargeable batteries die in an instant, this is the item you've been looking for. The wire connected to it is about 6 feet long so you don't have to sit right up against the wall. Just plug one end into the wall and the other into your Game Boy system and you're ready for continuous game play.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Improves over the original) 『I'm not going to bother explaining what Tetris is, as by now, all of you have been laying bricks for the past two decades. Instead, I will explain why this just might be the best tetris since the original. Except for missing the catchy original Tetris music, this versian improves vastly over the original.
Giving the game a nice color overhaul made it really pretty to look at, and they beefed it up with several features I wished were in the original (without ruining it like they did in Tetris Worlds for the gba)
For example, there is a save anywhere feature, so you can play it anytime you want. Also, how many of us wish that you could play Tetris against another? Well, in the origianl, you had to have a buddy who had a link cabe, a gameboy and a copy of tetris to play. You still have to do that in this versian, but you can also challenge the computer to matches, and it will send you garabge blocks just like it would if you were playing one of your friends. You can set the difficulty three levels, and the higher you set it, the more aggressive the computer becomes.
Also, my main complaint with Tetris Worlds was there was no scoring feature, but this versian has plenty, and even saves the when you turn off the game. Not even the original did that! (At least, not in my gb game) There is the "view next piece" feature, but you can turn it off if you wish, but there is no"infinate rotate" feature, or "ghost/shadow piece" to let you see when to drop it.
I was very disappointed with the gba Tetris Worlds, and it's funny that I should tell people to go buy this instead of the gba game, but this one is worth the purchase, folks!
Get this, and forget there ever was a "Tetris Worlds", as this one improves over the original in almost all ways (exept the music..I would have liked the russian tetris music, instead we get this weird techno-pop music.)』
(Tetris...What makes it so addictive?) 『I found "TETRIS" in the middle of nowhere and found it a brilliant addition to my very primative collection of games (i live for the old stuff). It is easy to catch onto the simple rules and very addictive. You can never WIN, but beating your own personal best is really good when it happens. I think that is also educational for that buff they call spacial awareness.
However, I would not buy it unless you can get a good price for it. You can get HandHeld games with original And Variations of the origianl "TETRIS".』
(Great Tetris Game!) 『I have both this game AND Tetris Worlds for Game Boy Advance, And I love them both as much as the other. Tetris worlds my not have a Battery Back-up, but it more than makes up for that with the extremely fun game variations and the classic tetris Music. Tetris DX DOES Have a battery, but it's just basic tetris. I'm able to score at least 400,000 points regularly, so every time I top out I have to put up with that annoying rocket launch sequence, wheras with Tetris Worlds, when you top out, you can start the next game right away without having to put up with annoying rocket sequences. the bottom line: went I want to play Classic Tetris, I play Tetris DX. when I want Enhanced graphics and effects and Nostalgic Music, I play Tetris Worlds』
(Classic Tetris Dx) 『Tetris DX is a very fun game! You will be addicted to it in no time! There are many different things you can do to change the game settings. For example, you can change the music. You can also change the level you are on yourself, although I wouldn't recommend doing it until after you have become a very good player. There also many game modes you can play in, like 40 Lines, on which you have to get 40 lines without your blocks hitting the top, Marathon, on which you just keep going and going and going until your blocks hit the top, or Ultra, where you see how good you can do, except you only have 3 minutes to do so. The computer also keeps track of your best records and displays them when you are choosing your level. Tetris DX is an absolutely terrific game! I would recommend it to anybody! You'll have a lot of fun playing it. Thank you for reading my review. I hope it helped.』
(a cut above the previous version) 『This is the only game I play on my GBC, which I've had for just over two years now. The two modes I stick to are Ultra and Marathon. I mostly play Ultra because the rocket ship animation that comes up after you lose when playing Marathon can get annoying after a while.
The previous version only allowed you to move one space laterally for every space the piece dropped. Very tough. In my opinion, the nicest change in this version of the game is the ease you can slid blocks laterally. The one for one idea is gone. Here in DX, I've gotten to level 30 with regularity, whereas before in previous versions, I was lucky to get past level 20.
I'd recommend this game on that change alone. The fact you can keep records for yourself is just a plus.』

IPhone 3G used's review (Not a great choice...) 『I bought this game completely by chance at a buy-and-sell game store and it was a huge dissapointment. Nobody really expects anything from the old gameboy games anymore, but this one was particularly bad. It's kind of like Pak Man with less dots. It really shouldn't be classified as a RPG (it's a insult really). If you don't already own it, you're not missing anything. Keep your money and go buy a good RPG game. Like Golden Sun.』
(This is NOT an RPG! again this is NOT an RPG!!!!) 『i wish i could give this game a negitive rating! i bought this game for ... at KBtoys about a year ago thinking it would be a RPG like the quest for N64! It is not an RPG!!!!! its a stupid puzzle game identical as dig dug! if you like dig dug maybe you'll like this game! if you think its an RPG DO NOT BUY!!!!! also the price amazon is giving for this game is also not right! NINTENDO online store sell it for only ... they must have mixed this one up with the other QUEST called QUEST Brians jurney! that one "IS" an RPG! this one is just crap! be carefull! i warned you!』
(The other remake) 『It is a good game with lots of monsters and magic. It gives you something to do for a long time. I want to get to all the levels thats why it takes me a long time. It is a little hard at first but once you get the hang of it you will go far in this game』
(Gamer review) 『A lot of people think this game wasn't so good. But once you start playing it you can't put it down. This version is easier than the N64 version but still has the same basics. This is a very worthy RPG. Battle sequences are a bit different than regular RPG's.』 fetish『 Atlantis 』
