How would you rate this toy's educational value? I give it four stars because it teaches children to be kind to animals. How durable is this toy?I give it five stars for durability because it is absolutly durable! And last but now least i give it five stars overall because it is A TOTALLY AWSOME GAME!!!』
(Fun When You First Get It) 『I have this game for pc, not gb. This game is fun for two days.Once you finish it, it's soooooooooooooo boring! When you know how to "rescue" the animals, all you do is the same thing over and over and over and over and over again. And barbie is sooooooooooooo slow! It takes her an hour to walk one step. The point is,this game is just so darn stupid!!!!! There are way better barbie games out there,so,don't waste your ca$h by buying this game!!!!』
(How much?????) 『There is no listed price. Why would I purchase it if I don't know how much it is???????』
(Great for younger kids) 『This is a wonderful game for YOUNGER children. It was not intended for adults or eleven year olds!』
(this game is AWFUL) 『This game is a nightmare. My husband, who is super at all sorts of video and computer games, can't even get it to work well. To rescue the pets, Barbie needs your help to make them not scared, make them come to her, etc. However you try to help, though, generally does not work easily. You will have better luck just randomly clicking until she does what she is supposed to do. Very irritating and disappointing.』 『Nintendo Game Boy Color GBC Game:
Barbie Pet Rescue game for the Nintendo Game Boy Color system, in excellent condition.
Includes game cartridge only.』 『That plucky little supermodel Barbie, who balances her social calendar with occupations such as deep-sea diving and private investigation, adds another line to her résumé withBarbie: Pet Rescuefor the Game Boy Color (it also works with the Game Boy Advance). The game's cute, simple adventuring is just right for young ones to while away hours in the backseat on car trips.
The plot is simple enough. Barbie and her little friend Stacie must search through Green Arbor Park for various cute and mostly furry animals to rescue. Each successive rescue presents a more challenging puzzle, and a special prize awaits those gamers who manage to rescue all 14 animals (we won't spoil things and reveal it here).
This game isn't just about helping Barbie and Stacie do their jobs, however. These animals need to be fed and played with, too. Some of them must be nursed back to health. And little gamers will likely delight in doing all this because Barbie's charges include bunnies, kittens, puppies, and more cute critters. Even though the graphics are typically sparse--notably simpler than the old CD-ROM version--Barbie: Pet Rescue's combination of Pokémon-style nurturing and the wholesome pinkness of Barbie herself makes it a great, if overly simple, game for ages 5 and slightly up.--Andrew S. Bub
Pros:
Cute, furry animals
A cool reward at the end
Teaches responsibility in the care and petting portion
Cons:
Sparse graphics
Older kids will gag at the cuteness

IPhone 3G used's review (Okay game with great characters) 『Gave this to my 11 year old for his birthday - he thinks its fun, enjoys the music and the many different characters. The only draw back is you can't save the game. It has to be restarted every time you turn it on. Would have rated it higher if the game could be saved - he would play it more often.』
(Excellent Game) 『This game is very fun. It is challenging, but not too challenging, so it is perfect for all ages. The graphics are good and most of the Looney Tune characters are there. I highly recommend this game for kids and teens because it will certainly keep them entertained.』
(Alert--I'm looney over this game) 『My 11 year old daughter and I both like this game--it is very fun. We couldn't stop playing it. It is challenging because it is like a maze, and you have to try a LOT of paths before you can reach your destination. The characters are funny, and it's fun trying to figure out who to use when to defeat the bad guys. We haven't tried hooking up with another game boy yet to trade information, but hope we can sometime. A great game.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Underrated Classic - And still impressive today,) 『R-Type was a fantastic scrolling shoot'em up in the arcades, and it's still every bit as fun to play today.
Graphics:
This unassuming cartridge contains not only the first R-Type game, but its excellent sequel as well. And I must say, the graphics - while not arcade-perfect - are amazing for a GBC title. The R-Type II graphics are especially impressive (including multi-layered backgrounds that scroll at different speeds, creating a great illusion of depth), and really push the GBC to its limits. I play this game regularly on my Gameboy Advance, and it looks as good as any GBA shooter I've ever played.
Gameplay:
If you're familiar with the arcade game, you will feel right at home on the GBC version. The gameplay is exactly the same. If you're new to the R-Type series, you will discover a very well balanced game that is easy to learn yet challenging enough to keep you interested. There are a wide variety of power ups for your ship, creative level design, and interesting bosses.
Sound:
The music is straight from the arcade games, and it's very well reproduced. Each level has its own music that sets a tone matching the scenery. If you don't like the music, however, it can be turned off. The sound effects are pretty basic, but don't get annoying. They too can be turned off if desired.
Conclusion:
If you're a fan of old-school shoot'em ups and you own a GBC or GBA, then "R-Type DX" is well worth the money.』
(Invest in a better version of R-Type) 『If there was ever any doubt that R-Type II was nothing more than a slightly different version of R-Type then R-Type DX should lay them to rest forever.
In 1987 shoot-em-up video games were hardly new. But R-Type gave new meaning to the term 'side-scrolling space-shooter'. Featuring subliminal imagery, awe-inspiring bio-mechanical villains, jaw-clenching gameplay, brilliant music and amazing power-ups, R-Type set a new standard that was soon mimicked in more games to follow than you can shake a stick at.
The story behind the game has earth come under attack from a race of mutant aliens called The Bydo Empire. Instead of sending a whole fleet of warships to fend them off a single R-series space vessel must penetrate the hordes of Bydo scum and make it to the core of the mothership and blast them back to the far side of the galaxy.
It was hard. Very, very hard. And you'd be screaming with frustration. But that was the ingenuous part. IREM deliberately made the game near-impossible so you'd spend more money on it. And by jove it worked on me.
Apart from several R-Type sequels, IREM never mounted to much after this. R-Type was their one hit wonder. Ported onto just about every home console you can think of, the best version of R-Type was always the arcade machine. If you see it, don't think twice about playing. And paying.
Like I said, R-Type was brilliant. And of course a sequel was more than welcome. But the sequel we got was just far too similar to the first. It feels more like an expansion pack than anything else. The first level of R-Type II is virtually the exact same as before. Even the music hasn't changed.
Level 2 did feature a cool, and very hard, underwater stage and there were a couple of new power ups for that crazy force orb. But it was all just too samey. IREM didn't put much imagination into this game at all. On its own, when not standing next to the first, R-Type II is still a great game but is no-doubt a rip-off when regarded as a sequel. With all of the pale imitations of R-Type that followed the original's release then they should have tried harder to make this something special.
You can play this Gameboy Color game in 5 ways. First you have the black and white Gameboy version of R-Type. And let's face it, who wants to play that? Or you can play it in color. A wiser choice. This option also features on R-Type II (now missing the cool underwater level seen in the arcades).
Or you can choose to actually play the game as R-Type DX, which is a combination of both. And you'll never know it. It's a bit dull, the infinite continues don't temp me to play for hours on end and the primitive graphics and sound of the Gameboy Color don't do justice to the usually brilliantly detailed R-Type universe.
Pick up for no more than 1 dollar.』

A national video chain was holding a great sale of movies for a penny and a dollar on Thanksgiving day. I viewed this movie before buying this dvd and I enjoyed the film. I watched it a few years later and I do not feel the same way, its still an enjoyable movie though. Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis skip Christmas for a year and everyone has a fit over it. Talk about respecting peoples privacy. Dan Akyroyd leds the neighborhood and trys to get them to understand why they'd do this. Its a great idea ruined by bad acting. If you enjoy films like Miracle on 34th Street, A Christmas Carol (various ones), Scrooged, Christmas Story, Home Alone to name a few then this one has a good idea but poorly executed. Not going be an annual viewing for any families around the world during Christmas.』

(Another TUROK game for GBC....But this one's Pretty Good) 『I recently purchased this game a week ago. I must have played that game 4 hours before I needed a rest, the game is very entertaining. The graphics were very impressive, especially on the GBC.The point of the game is kinda weird, but that doesnt affect the gameplay. It is true that there are only 4 levels in the game, that may sound pretty short but trust me,its not. Each level is split up into 4 or 5 different parts(when i say parts,I mean backround setting changes, baddies and such.Sometimes you will find yourself trying to beat one of the parts really fast because of the scrolling screen. One of my favourite things about the game is the variety of weapons u can get,and whats even better is the weapon combining feature, where u can take two weapons u have and combine them 2 make a more powerful one. Over all,Turok:Rage Wars is an A+ game. The -1 star is because once you beat the game a few times it will get boring, but that will take a while anyways.GREAT GAME!』

IPhone 3G used's review (UTTER disappointment!) 『Clearly this game was designed for folks who have already played either the N64 or the PC version of this title, because the GBC edition completely lacks any semblance of a story: there are no cutscenes whatsoever, nor any explanations as to why you are moving from level-to-level. Basically the current level ends and you're thrown into the next one.
The only shining light for this game comes in its graphics. For a GBC title, this game has a pretty good look. Unfortunately that's not NEARLY enough to offset just how truly tedious this game is! There is no background music, the gameplay is slow and uninspired and, without a compelling story to justify the monotony, is quite frankly....BORING!!!
Some of the puzzles - most notably, the Meroe "block-jumping over water" challenge - were just SO FRUSTRATING that they made me literally want to smash my Gameboy to BITS!!!!
I never got to finish this game, however, because of a very SERIOUS programming flaw I encountered in the Infernal Machine level! I'm not sure if this is true of all copies of the game - in fact, it may be the result of some minor damage to the cartridge itself - but the fact that I had worked SO hard on such a frustrating game only to be shot down near the end by a factor that I could not control was just too much for me to take!
In fact, the only reason I am (perhaps misguidedly) not giving this game a single star is because I am COMPLETELY in love with the PC original and because I consider this game a part of my Indy memorabilia collection.
Goodness, I was SOOO disappointed with this title! I bought it only recently because my parents would not buy it for me when it was brand new (and apparently for good reason). I thought it would provide me with at least a fraction of the fun that the PC game had, but it didn't even scratch the surface! Pair this with the frustration that this game instead provides and what you've got is just one...huge...CATASTROPHE!!!
I'm sorry Indy, but this is SOOOO not a winner! So not!

IPhone 3G used's review (What kind of sick people are you!!) 『Where to begin... The Story is not quite FF but i mean the brickster stealing pizza? What!? And instead of sending police they send pepper, the delivery boy. But at least the world is huge and interactive as can be (sarcasm) . And then they throw in some cards wich have no real purpose other than seeing the characters with better graphics. and last but not least the most arrupt ending wich made me think i was still playing the game. all in all the game took me 35 min. to beat (try to beat my record)』
(Not what expected) 『It's an okay game, but I'd recommend it for gamers who are 10 and under. The graphics are pretty good for GBC and the gameplay doesn't have any big flaws. I really enjoyed seeing the Lego world on my gameboy. The only major thing I didn't like about the game is the ending. When I got there, I didn't even know that I was finished and it only took me an hour or less. I'd recommend buying the original LEGO Island for PC, because it is more in-depth and has lots of modes of transportation. For example, you can ride a motorcycle, a bike, an ambulance, a jetski and more. The only two flaws are that you can't walk outside the paths/roads and you don't really get to fly the chopper. You should get the LEGO Island PC version for kids 7-13 and Lego island gamboy if it's for a 6-10 year old.』
(Not sure if it was worth the effort...) 『It is a great game, the graphics are incredible and my son really likes it, HOWEVER, it took me 3 weeks to install -- and I'm pretty good with computers! The system requirements also seem VERY high, so be sure your computer can run this game.』

And there's no better place to treat this malady than on the Game Boy Color (this title also works on the new Game Boy Advance).LEGO Island 2, sequel to the PC- and PlayStation-exclusive title, comprises a unique blend of mystery and puzzle solving. Players should be forewarned that the game is as childish as the name and cover suggest. Adults and older kids may find the game charming but a little too simple for their tastes.
LEGO Island 2features the return of the dastardly Brickster. Once again he's loose on the island and up to no good. You portray a pizza delivery boy who must stop him. The game takes place in LEGO world--the world of the toy sets--so you won't be doing any brick building yourself. Basically, you've got to solve puzzles, deliver items to access new areas, bump mummies and other monsters to defeat them (you can also stun them with your, ahem, pizza gun), and explore the huge game world. Fortunately, the game features a battery backup, so memorizing or writing down long codes to save your progress isn't necessary.
The game is made up of busywork; it isn't particularly challenging, though there is a bit of problem solving thrown in. It's perfect for a car trip or some other occasion when you'd like your kids seen and not heard, but there's nothing educational or redeeming here. But since when have LEGOs not been about busywork?--Andrew S. Bub
Pros:

IPhone 3G used's review (WHAT HAPPENED?!!!) 『In an effort to sabotage Catwoman's reputation, Vatical and Kemco conspired to create of one the worst video games imaginable so that no developer would ever touch her liscence again. Before I played this game, I was hoping for a playing style similar to Batman: The Video Game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Unfortunately, what I got was a clunky, barely playable insult to one of my favorite DC heroes/villains. Not only is Selena Kyle unable to attack while air-borne, she can't even move when she's not on the ground. Okay, so you can swing across ceilings, but that's the extent of it. The gameplay is monotonous and the animation is poorly done, not even exceptable by South Park standards. If there is one thing Catwoman can do that others can't in their own games, it's sidestep into the background. I hope this [game] doesn't discourage developers from making a newer, much better game starring the infamous cat burgaler.』
(So fun...it hurts...) 『This is the very first game that I bought for my Game Boy, and it is my favorite. Catwoman is just so cool and I am glad that she has a little something that I can sink my teeth into. First off the graphics are really decent, which is a big plus. And the game is just overall really quite fun. On the downside play control can be a bit tiresome, sometimes Catwoman would much rather do a forward flip rather than use her whip. Also the "enemy" characters don't "die"(which in the end is good) but some characters are really tough and if they get the upper hand then you are goners. So, in my opinion, this is a great game and if you like Catwoman and own a Game Boy then do yourself a favor and buy it!』

You'll have to fight them off with Catwoman's wide array of attacks, including her whip and claw assaults. I have more respect for pornogrophers and drug dealers than these Wayans Brothers at this point. You can imagine them as part of a top secret organization whose soul purpose and ultimate goal is to make mankind dumber. Everytime you laugh while watching one of their movies, assuming you laugh while watching one of these things, a small part of your mind dies forever. Doo-doo.』
(To Each His/Her Own) 『Personally, I throughly enjoyed the movie and continue to watch it over and over again. What I don't care for are those "reviews" that make claims that one has to be crazy to like or not like a particular movie based on their own feelings. As the old saying goes, to each his own. As for my feelings, it made me laugh and continues to do so. Laughter is one of the best forms of medicine and, in this day and age, something to be treasured.』
(Big Baby is Big Fun!) 『First of all, there's a lot of very funny performances in this film by some enormously talented stars! Why isn't Tracy Morgan ever mentioned when this movie is being reviewed? If I had known he was staring in it I would have watched this 2 years ago when it first came out, instead of waiting for it to be shown on Encore. Tracy Morgan plays Percy, a bumbling, stumbling criminal who can make even the most serious person crack up! Of course I enjoyed the performances by the 2 lead stars, Marlon (as Calvin) and Shawn Wayans (as Darryl.) They work together very well and are excellent at doing slap-stick comedy.
In addition, I enjoyed the core cast of Kerry Washington (as Vanessa) and John Witherspoon (as Pops.) I love it when Pops says to the baby, "you smell like PISS." At first I couldn't tell if Vanessa was missing a screw or if she was just very proper. In the end we all know that she was a very sweet lady who was perhaps a touch on the bonkers side (she almost reminded me of the late Michelle Thomas of "Family Matters!") I also loved the performance by Alex Borstein as Janet. Didn't she look so different? I totally didn't recognize her! And wasn't it so funny when she b-r-eastfed baby Calvin? That was just nasty.
There's also a slew of cameos by some of my favorite (and probably your favorites, as well!) stars! I loved Molly Shannon as the nutty Soccer Mom!! She was soooooo funny!! David Alan Grier was also in the very beginning and he was very amusing! And Rob Schneider plays a wannabe Barney-the-Dinosaur in a laugh-till-it hurts (yet uncredited) scene!
I also thought it was hilarious how Calvin was made out to be a baby/infant in some scenes (when he was in the high chair or inside that baby swing) and in other scenes he was supposed to be a toddler (like when he was in the park or when he played football.) This had to be done on purpose to make everyone look silly and give the movie somewhat of a cartoon feel to it. The movie has some incredible special effects which took nearly 5 months to shoot, not to mention several more months in post-production.
"Little Man" did have a positive message. What message did I gain from it? I believe the film was trying to convey that there isn't anything corny in being a good father or a strong black husband who wants to be there for his wife and children.
I did like how it ended (courtesy of Marlon and Shawn and a smaller role by Chazz Palminteri as Walken the thug!) It was very funny and fast-paced. Although I didn't understand why Kerry Washington was M.I.A. for the last 3 scenes?
Based on what everyone has said about this movie I thought it was going to be really bad. I also thought it was going to be horrible because I could not stand "White Chicks" (also with Marlon&Shawn.) You know, it may sound hackneyed, but I don't care; don't ever judge a book by its cover, because if you do you will be wrong! "Little Man" was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than I thought it would be!』
(Lots of laughs) 『I've seen this film twice in the last month and found myself roaring with laughter at a lot of scenes. Those Wayan brothers are brilliant at what they do.』
(HILARIOUS!!!!! A must buy!) 『If you loved White Chicks, you will def love this movie... this movie is hilarious... God bless the Wayan brothers... this one is a must see...』 『Iréne Jacob (U.S. Marshalls, Othello), Vincent Perez (Cyrano de Bergerac, Queen of the Damned), Jason Isaacs (Black Hawk Down, The Patriot) and Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction) star in this epic tale of a great love story thwarted by fortune and men's will.
Set against a sweeping historical fresque, the epic tale of a great love story thwarted by fortune and men's will. 1758-1761: a turbulent period bridging the collapse of New France and the establishment of the British regime. An "era of passions." This tragic love story of a young peasant girl, Marie-Loup Carignan (Godin-Vigneau), from the lower Saint Laurent River and a dashing adventurer is based on fact. As their passionate destiny advances inexorably, driven by fate, it mirrors another story that's already been written: France's abandonment of Canada.
François Le Gardeur (David La Haye), a daring and adventurous young man, rejects his family who he finds too bourgeois, preferring to roam in the forests and live with the American Indians (know as "the savages" by the settlers). Discovers that his father was wheeling and dealing on a massive scale with Intendant Bigot. Their financial scams will eventually contribute to the fall of New France.
The day after his return Le Gardeur meets Marie-Loup and it's love at first sight. Marie-Loup is a determined young woman despite her modest origins, in advance of her era. Her outspoken attitude and free spirit is criticized by Father Blondeau, although his rebukes are tinged with indulgence as the poor man is secretly in love with her. And her friendship with "the savages" is frowned upon by the local people - she's rumored to have "witch's powers" because she uses the shaman's remedies for healing the sick.
』 『Cunningly fusing father-son sentiment and more blows to the groin per minute than any other movie you'll see this (and possibly any other) year,Little Manaims to win the heart of any man who's ever wished his son was actually a foul-mouthed, jewel-thieving midget. The rubbery face of Marlon Wayans (White Chicks) is digitally transposed onto the body of an actual midget so that Marlon can play Calvin, a bad-tempered thief who's trying to retrieve a humongous diamond from the purse of Vanessa (Kerry Washington,Ray), the buppie wife of Darryl (Shawn Wayans,Scary Movie 2). Darryl doesn't care about his wife's new promotion, he just wants to have a child--and he gets one when Calvin arrives on his doorstep dressed in baby clothes. At which point, the kicks, head-butts, and blunt object trauma to the groin begin. It's beside the point to argue whether or not this is definitively funny; blows to the groin either make you laugh or they don't, and if they do, you know who you are and you should seek this movie out. It will give you all you could possibly ask for, including numerous jokes about bodily functions and breasts. Also featuring John Witherspoon (Friday), Tracy Morgan (Saturday Night Live), Chazz Palminteri (Bullets Over Broadway), and cameos by Molly Shannon (Superstar) and Rob Schneider (Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo). --Bret Fetzer
