(Can't beat the original) 『For us old pokemon fans, we fell in love with red and blue. I personally was a charzard fan in third grade, and this happened to be my first rpg. Everyone seemed to have some version of pokemon. You could even trade them with other people, providing you had the correct linking device. After pokemon fell out of fashion, no one seemed to want those really new games (except for the new third graders of course). The original set of pokemon were the greatest, even the strange ones like jynx. I hated the pokemon show after about a year of watching it everyday and owning all the pokemon merchandise. But I still buy the games and play them, because you can't beat the game play. It's quite simply amazing.
I'm sad to say my red version was stolen from me a few years ago, but I hope to purchase it once again at a used video game store.

(Not as bad as one would think) 『Before Spider-Man became a box office smash and became everyone's favorite hero, Activision changed the way super hero licensed video games would be by releasing the surprisingly great Spider-Man games for the PS1, N64, and Dreamcast. Eventually a GameBoy Color version would be released, and while it's nowhere near anything great, it is surprisingly solid and challenging. The graphics are typical 8-bit side scroller fare, but are colorful and well animated. Controls are simple and the enemies (especially Venom) are very challenging. This game is also surprising in the fact that it is more solidly realized than any other 8-bit or 16-bit home console game that was nothing more than a repetitive beat 'em up with a comic license attached to it. All in all, those who only have a GameBoy Color and are fans of the web head should give this a whirl.』
(The best Gameboy colour game.) 『It is too hard but it is still miles ahead of anything else on the Gameboy colour. I am not that good at hanhelds but I manged to get pretty far in the game and I have beaten Venom, The Lizard, Hobgoblin and Venom again. I am now fighting Venom a 3rd time and have found I can't beat him. The birdds are also pesky too. But it helps that the better you play the more points you get which gives special moves which makes fighting a hell of a lot easier. I have had a lot of fun with this game and as soon as I learn how to beat Venom again I will no doubt have more fun with it.』

IPhone 3G used's review (Dr.Evil just is plain old evil) 『You may have seen my review of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire for the Game Boy Color. Well, this game is the worst piece of trash I've seen in a long time.
This game has a PC interface, although it does a horrendous job at that. You basically get to choose a psychedelic movie character background, choosing from Fembots, Mini Me, Dr, Evil, the weird cat, and other ridiculous people. The screensavers stink too, they only work on this game.
The games are the worst attribute to this gaming experience seeing as how they have no thought, fun, creativness, and did I mention fun. The game ~Mojo Maze~ is a badly done rip off of Pac Man, although you can't see the entire screen, so heck, run into another enemy, who cares. The controls in this game are so bad that you won't want to ever play it again let alone twice to actually see the screensavers. The game ~Kin' Evil~ is a little more fun, but still not fun. The game interface has a bunch of wacky, out of place colors, and you whoop around with Mini Me in a motorcycle, going off bumps and stuff. The game ~Domination~ is a game that you will actually play more than .09 times. It is a copy of Othello, but heck, that was a cool game. Then there's a Paper Rock Scissors game, and I won't even talk about it because it just is so terrible and not, not, not, not fun at all in any possible way.
There's also a Frickulator, a weird caculator, and a typing machine so that you can send messages infra-red to your friends. Don't get me wrong though, you'll get bored of it in about five hours.
Then there's some sound files and movie files, and they're good for a laugh about once or none.
All in all, this game is so bad, it just stinks. Bad. No gameplay, no fun.』

Rayman is also one of the better side-scrolling platforms available for the system, but it doesn't come without a gripe or three. The password save makes it less convenient to pick up and play anytime you want. Later levels become very frustrating, also. Imagine having your controls reversed through an entire world or being followed in every footstop by a "dark Rayman." Games need challenge, but not to this extent. Remember, Game Boys break very easily, and Rayman does everything it can to promote that.』

(A Definite Keeper) 『I think that "Rayman" was an enjoyable game. The graphics were excellent, and it had great replay value (i.e. the time attack feature). The music was bad for a GameBoy game, but that was countered by the great gameplay. The game went by quickly, but it was fun while it lasted. This game made you go through almost all the levels over again if you really wanted that sweet 100%, but it was definitely worth it. There is also the secret attack mode, which as just as difficult, if not more, that many of the levels. "Rayman" is also a hit with violence haters, because it focused on exploring the levels, not wasting enemies. And besides, who could question the cutesy comical humor of a guy without arms or legs, who throws his fist? This game holds a definite resemblance to "Mario" and other side scrollers, but with better graphics. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Mario games. With a wide variety of level environments and tons of extras and great visuals, this classsic is a definite keeper for GameBoy owners.』
