(Dunno why, but this game scared me...)
『Poor graphics. It's scarily similar to the SUPER-CRAPPY Powerpuff Girls GBC games. It also scared me somehow, in a nightmarish way.
Don't buy it. It ain't worth the money.』

(Good game)
『THQ's latest Game Boy Color release, The Simpsons: Night of the Living Tree House of Horror, is seven levels of spooky action ripped straight out of a decade's worth of Halloween specials. The family's souls are trapped in Bart's tree house, and the only way to save them is to guide Bart, Maggie, Lisa, Homer, and Marge safely through each of his or her own uniquely nightmarish scenarios. As can be expected from a TV license, this particular Simpsons product is an action game. However, unlike the usual fare of repetitious platform-jumping rehashes, Night of the Living Tree House of Horror packs seven different side scrollers into a single game. Each level borrows its name from a specific Halloween episode and has its own unique gameplay gimmick. In the first scenario, Bad Dream House, Bart must explore each room of the Simpsons' house, vanquish haunted creatures with his slingshot, leap across sludge pits, and collect enough keys to save the family dog from a demonic broom. Level two, Maggie-Fly, sends you soaring through the air as a fly-mutated Maggie and tasks you to navigate her safely across a bug-infested kitchen. Things really heat up in level three, Plan 9 from Outer Springfield, a top-down shoot-'em-up starring family mom, Marge Simpson. Presented in a style reminiscent of Konami's Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Marge is a bubble-blaster-packing zombie hunter who'll have to get through hordes of possessed Springfield denizens and zombie versions of Apu, Moe, Mayor Quimby, and Krusty if she wants to make it home safely. Later levels cast Homer as a vampire hunter in a Castlevania-style mansion romp, a Homer robot as a toxic-waste purifier with a heart, Lisa as a Solid Snake-inspired operative in a stealthy school rescue, and the apelike King Homer in a Rampage-style wrecking frenzy. Each level in The Simpsons: Night of the Living Tree House of Horror is a game unto itself, which makes for a rather pleasing and varied experience. Surprisingly, though, each scenario is also a nice example of the particular genre it lampoons. Bart's initial jump-happy scenario lends a nod to Nintendo's Super Mario Bros., while other levels pay glowing tribute to Sega, Konami, and Atari releases such as Kolibri, Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, and Rampage. The game is not entirely free of flaws, however. The game uses an unwieldy password system, making it unnecessarily tedious to continue a game. The game itself is incredibly short and can be completed in less than three hours. Also, nonhuman enemy sprites are limited to poorly animated spiders and bees, which makes them jarringly out of place when compared with the rest of the game's sprites. Despite a few ugly spiders, the majority of the action in The Simpsons: Night of the Living Tree House of Horror is colorfully drawn, highly detailed, and smoothly animated. Bart, Maggie, Lisa, and the rest of the family all have their own trademark body characteristics, as well as at-rest animations that include Bart's patent shrug and Maggie's clumsy pacifier drop. The rest of the Springfield menagerie is present as well. Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Monty Burns, Waylon Smithers, Groundskeeper Willy, Principal Skinner, and a whole host of recognizable characters gives the game the kind of satisfaction that only familiarity with a phenomenon can offer. The Simpsons' house, the Burns' mansion, and the Springfield streets are also re-created as well as can be expected on a 3-inch color screen.
Don't let the standard GBC MIDI fool you either--this Simpsons game sounds good too. Although there aren't any Bart speech samples or Homerisms, Night of the Living Tree House of Horror is deep with a wide array of series-inspired sound effects and music. It's no Mario Advance, but Simpsons fans will smirk with glee when hearing the Simpsons theme twisted asunder in a dark horror re-creation of itself. Re-creation is exactly what The Simpsons: Night of the Living Tree House of Horror is all about. No matter how you pronounce it, THQ has managed to re-create a decade of Halloween specials into a single GBC game that's bound to give series fans hours of recreation.』

(WOW! A SIMPSONS GAME!)
『I don't know how long I've owned this game but, I think it's been a really long time, there's 7 levels of non-stop fun, the levels get harder and harder, but, I have a book that will let me go to any level, well anyways I'm glad they made this game it's really fun well bye!!!!!!!:)』

(The Simpsons Rock)
『This is a really cool game that is based on The Simpsons Halloween episodes.there are 8 levels and in each one you are a different Simpsons charactor. In the 1st level you are Bart and your in a haunted house looking for Santas Little Helper. The second has Maggie in the body of a fly.You have to get her to the transporter which will make her a baby again. Its very easy. Then you Marge and you have to kill zombies with a be be gun. its very very hard.In the next your Homer and your in Vampire Burns(Mr. Burns) castle. Its pretty hard. Then you are a Homer-Robot searching for your body parts.its not very hard at all.In the 7th level Lisa walks through the school freeing kids that are to be eaten by teachers. pretty easy. Finally, in the last level your are King Homer(King Kong) and you battle planes and tanks looking for Marge.I hope you enjoy the game.』

(The Simpsons: Night of the Living Treehouse of Horror)
『I am probablyy the biggest Simpson fan you will run into, but this has to be the worst game I have ever played. The characters look so horrible they move to slow and you can only start on level one which is pretty hard there are no extra features except the Homer one you have to un-lock. ... And in conclusion there is just such a lack of effort put in this game [...]!It is just sooo horrible!! If you are a simpson fan don't buy it it is embrassing.』
『Halloween becomes a year-round treat with THE SIMPSONS: Night of the Living Treehouse of Horror. Based on the annual SIMPSONS Halloween specials, this lighthearted game allows you to play as anyone in the family: Bart, Lisa, Homer, Marge, or little Maggie. Each character has been drawn into a haunted world, and it's up to you to steer them home. There are six spooky levels in all, and each one of them is packed with chills and challenges for gamers of all ages. SIMPSONS aficionados are sure to get a kick out of all the cameos Principal Skinner, Krusty the Clown, Moe the Bartender, Barney, and plenty of others make appearances. The game successfully marries the hilarious antics of the Springfield regulars with some surprisingly exciting gameplay to yield a game that's as much fun to play as a SIMPSONS episode is to watch. You don't have to be a total series addict to get into this rollicking gem.』
The Simpsons: Night of the Living Treehouse of Horroris based on the long-running TV series' tradition of special Halloween-themed episodes. The individual souls of this nuclear family are trapped high in Bart's tree house, so you'll need to guide each of the Simpsons through various Springfield locations while battling possessed characters Mr. Burns, Principal Skinner, Moe the bartender, and others. Reunite Bart, Maggie, Lisa, Homer, and Marge with their respective souls at the base of the tree house, and you will be rewarded with a bonus level starring "King Homer."』

(Harvest Moon 2 Review)
『This game is so much fun, I can't put it down. I play all day long and it's still entertaining! I think I'm bordering on abseccion!!!!! My son loves it to... he never loses interest in it! The only reason I gave this game an overall of 4 instead of 5 stars is the lack of dating. Other than that, this game is perfect!!! Hope you enjoy it to!』

(Awesomely fun game)
『Harvest Moon 2 is an insanely fun game, which is pretty surprising, seeing as, well...it's a video game based on a farm. Whoever came up with the idea though, is intelligent.

The game starts off with the mayor of a small town being told that a historic farm will be turned into an amusement park. The mayor takes it upon himself to hire someone to fix up the farm, and make enough profit to save it. That's where you come in. You grow fruits and veggies (every season you get new ones), raise animals once you have enough feed/money, and you can fish and gather berries. Every so often new garden tools, extenions to your farm, or plants are available. But, you only have three years to raise enough money to save the farm.

Harvest Moon 2 is really, really fun, but there's a tick (it might just be in my game though, but I'm not sure) - you can't ever buy chickens. They're cheap, and a major source of money, but every time I go to buy them, the shop owner says I don't have enough feed. (I have the max. capacity of food stored in the silo.)

Overall grade - A』

(As cool as a farming simulation can be!)
『Harvest moon is a great series. It is about farming. If you don't like wasting time moving around and doing virtual chores, don't get it. That means it is not boring. I bought HM2 once, and played it constantly. I was addicted! Unfortunately, I lost it in a move, and I was drawn here by it's low price without the auctions on eBay. I plan on buying it again. It's that good. If you want a better knowledge of the game, and whether you should get it, try Ushi no Tane. Just search on google or something for Ushi no Tane, which is THE BEST Harvest Moon 2 site I have ever seen. You'll learn anything you need to know there.』

(Harvest moon 2)
『The game teaches us how to be responsible and take care of things
(too bad there isn't a game on money saving!!!)』

(Great game, but a little too difficult)
『It's a great game, like all its predessors. The only problem I've seen is that it is a lot more difficult to make money from your crops. You also have to collect more grass to buy animals. I suggest you buy this game only if you are collecting them, otherwise, you should buy the title for the SNES, N64, Playstation, or PS2. This is because they have far more depth. Such as with the SNES version you can have around ten chickens, while on the gameboy edition you can only have four.』
『Well, ifPokémoncan catch on in this country, there's no reason whyHarvest Mooncan't, too. This game takes the farming-simulation concept from its Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 counterparts and shrinks it down, removing some favorable aspects but including many more.

The new version expands on the first Game Boy version, providing a bigger world in which to tend your farm. There are also more tasks to do in a given day, such as planting this and milking that, and all of it must be done at a frantic pace if everything is to be completed. The pace of the game is what really makes it addicting, but players can also take the day off and play minigames, which are fun as well.

The one thing this game lacks is the dating and marriage aspect of the console games. This was one of the cutest features of the series, but there still seems to be enough to warrant a play-through.--Robb Guido

Pros:

  • Seemingly unlimited tasks to complete every day of the game
  • Fun minigames
Cons:
  • No dating for the lead character

『Everyone who has ever played game like e.g. Thief must be absolutely happy - this game is old good Garrett but in modern times. Above all the atmosphere of this game makes it top rated product! And carefully formulated movement of main hero is simply perfect. Gadget development really has surprised me. This game runs smoothly even on slower PC than recommended as the minimum configuration, I have no any problem with graphics, stability, memory...only problems you may have is when you play on pirate copy! So if anyone cry about unstability of this game then you can bet on the fact he does play pirated game...I can only recommend this masterpiece to play! Good luck in Russia!!!! Milo)』

(Beware! This game is highly unstable!)
『At first I thought it was just the demo but I tried to play the full version and it did the same thing. I kept getting "Not Responding" errors right before trying to play the first level over and over until I just had to uninstall the game. This game also loads StarForce protection drivers onto your computer. Some people have had terrible problems with these drivers. Dreamcatcher has virtually no support on this game too, just updated Starforce drivers. You're taking a real chance with this game if you buy it, beware.

(not the greatest game in the world)
『There are 3 games to play, but for one of them you need 2 gameboys and 2 cartridges. For another one, you just walk around through buildings and do absolutely nothing. In the other one, you just make a deck but it has to have 60 cards in it and only one deck has 60 cards in it. This game is really confusing, especially if you don't have the instructions. Don't buy it!』

(THE AWESOME-EST GAME EVER!)
『The game is awesome! Don't let the other reviews fool you-you don't even notice the "faults" when you play b/c this game is so fun! I would reccomend this to anyone-even if you hate pokemon. It's that good. Now go get it!』

(This Game Stinks)
『The first time I got this game I didn't like it very much. Then I let one of my friends borrow it and he never brought it back. Then I got it again in hopes of beating some people. So I walked into the Rock Club to defeat the master there and he told me I had to go find his pupils first. So I found two of them and I still can't find the others. I even went on a cheat website and I followed where it says she is and she's not there! This game is really boring. I mean really. Playing the TCG in real life is way more fun.』

(A very fun game with a through-the-roof replay value!)
『Here is my review:
Replay value: 10/10
Difficulty: 7/10
Educational: 10/10

This...game...is...GREAT! Even with Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire out in stores, I still spend lots of time trying to complete my Pokemon Card collection on the Game Boy. The game is very fun and will quickly turn newbies to the Pokemon TCG into experts. I'm a 12-year-old girl and a dedicated Pokemon fan, and I must say...Let your Ruby/Sapphire Pokemon take a little rest so you can pick up a copy of this awesome game. (Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire is an awesome game too ^.^) The basic storyline of this game is that you are a boy with the default name of Mark, who wants to inherit the four Legendary Pokemon Cards (special GB versions of Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Dragonite). You can carry up to four (4) decks at a time, but you can save your valuable deck configurations in a Deck Save Machine. You must defeat the 8 Club Masters (as you do Gym Leaders) then defeat the four ultimate experts of the Pokemon TCG (as with the Elite Four). Although the only deck expansions included are Jungle, Fossil, and Base Set, this is all in all an excellent game. Wonder when the Ruby/Sapphire TCG version will come out for GBA?』

(A pretty nice game)
『This is basically a video game adaption of the card game. You can go battle, trade, and do card pop, where you and a friend use GameBoyColors infared thing to link up and get random cards. You can only do this once with each person for a set time period. (I think it might be a day.) YOu eventually go through a bunch of card clubs, defeat club leaders for medals, and in the end face off against the "Grand Masters" for a chance to beat the game and get four legendary cards.

Their is a small group of cards which only come in the game. Little custom cards, you might say. You can know this by seeing a little GB on the card information screen. (The Legendary cards are Game boy custom.)

But if you're a "newbie" to pokemon, or mabey just realizing it's existance, it only sports the basic, jungle, and fossil expansions. This is actually pretty good, considering the time it was made. (When those three sets were the only ones "on the shelves" at the time.) And unlike the YuGiOh card game games, youcan't upload cards you have into the game. You must get them by obtaining boosters which you can get by beating club members, leaders, and opening the occasional email from the professor. (There's about twenty of them throughout the game.)

So overall, if you like the card game, get this for protable pokemon tcg action. If you don't like the cards, leave it alone.』
Pokémon Trading Card Gameis a Game Boy Color title based on the popular strategy card game from Wizards of the Coast. Fans of the existing red, blue, and yellow versions of Pokémon will find this game to be less redundant than earlier Game Boy Pocket Monster offerings. This game is more of a hybrid of its predecessors--mixing strategy card gameplay and role-playing game elements--with highly successful results.

The story inPokémon Trading Card Gameis basically the same as that of the original Pokémon titles, only with new character and feature names substituted. Instead of Professor Oak, players meet Dr. Mason. Gym Leaders are named Club Masters, battles are duels, and so forth. Learning the card game is a breeze thanks to the inclusion of comprehensive instructions and an in-depth tutorial. Although some minor changes have been made, the method of play is virtually identical to the original card game, and just as addictive. While much shorter than the Pokémon games, the gameplay here doesn't involve random and repetitive battles, and follows a less linear path.

AlthoughPokémon Trading Card Gamewould seem to turn a social experience into a solitary one, it allows for and encourages interacting with other game owners. Duels can be fought between players via a game link cable, and cards and decks can be traded using the infrared communications port. The most interesting (although somewhat dubious) feature here is the "card pop!" option, which generates one new card for each player when communicating wirelessly; the catch is that you can't "card pop!" the same person again for a while after doing so, thus limiting the feature's appeal.--Joe Hon

Pros:

  • Easy-to-learn and highly addictive gameplay
  • Features cards exclusive to the Game Boy
  • Excellent game link and infrared communication port options
  • Package includes limited edition trading card
Cons:
  • Relatively short game compared to Pokémon Game Boy titles
  • Very limited appeal outside the Pokémaniac crowd

(This game is OK!)
『Why does everyone think this game is so great?? I find it to be just an average game. You start out with three monsters and you must battle people to get more cards. There are only about 20-30 monsters in this game. They each have attack cards and defense cards. If you want to get more cards, you must battle people in these boring looking dungeons. The people follow you and if they catch you, then you have to battle them. Each dungeon has 6 floors, so by the time you are done, you have battled about 30 people!! The battles so get old, that this game will be left on your shelf in no time! Bottom Line.... Don't buy this game unless you are a really big Monster Rancher fan. Even if you are a Monster Rancher fan, I suggest you buy it for Play Station. I these games you get to battle with REAL monsters, not monster cards. If you aren't a fan and you just want a game that involves cards, try Yu-Gi-Oh. Yu-Gi-Oh ROCKS!』

(This Game Rocks!!!!!)
『I think everyone should get this, because it's a great game(especially with gamesharck). There are many things to do and you dont get bored!

(super fun !)
『I think its very fun getting discs and getting monsters and rising them . And one of the best things is you get to ballte them and train them . you can get 100 cards to ballte . each monster has a certain lifetime .』

(Being factual about this game)
『Well, I saw this game when it was fairly new to the market so I bought it, being a general fan of the monster raising genre. This game offers complexity and no two monsters are the same. The breeding feature makes you able to build up super monsters, and it's very fun to see each combination. This game is not only for Pokemon fans. Any RPGer with a like of monsters should get this game. I personally love this genre, so it was right up my alley. Some problems with the game are that it's annoying how some of the monsters no matter how many pieces of meat you throw them won't join. Another is when you leave them on the Ranch too long and they become wild. Of course, this can be avoided by putting them all to sleep when you go into the Mystic World. Running out of Warpwings in the Mystic World is really a pain. Battle graphics are pretty basic, but fair. My favorite artist in the world, Akira Toriyama*the guy who made Dragon Ball Z and Dr Slump* did the character designs and it shows with each new and unique monster you meet. I like the fact you can talk to your monster, and they talk back to you if you go to the right place. Each monster has an attitude, either good, medium or pissy, and each fights differently. I have yet to beat this game, and I started it over about three times since every time I learned a new technique. It will keep you busy for hours.』

(THE BEST!)
『Ok first of all, what the heck are you doing reading this freakin review? GET THE freakin GAME! This is the best folks. You there having a Pokemon hate club and trying to prove there is something better with getting monsters and battling them? Well this game is the proof. THe graphics are great and you actually see a full motion attack of the monster! You can also earn cards by winning battles and the battles itself are long and tense! ANd for crying out loud, thank god there's no stupid Pikachu wondering around the game. If you see one I''ll send out my Gali to squash it. Anyway, if you have the money and have been saving up that hard worked money for a well worth it game? Go out right now and your wait will be over. GET THIS! Note: If you are still sitting in your chair wondering what the heck I'm talking about, please stand still for I will give you "friendly" tap...』
『Your goal in life is to become the world's greatest monster breeder. In order to do this, you must travel around the world, challenging other breeders to card matches. If you win, you will collect more cards. If you can pass all of the license matches and collect all 100 cards, you will join the ranks of the master breeders. Before every match starts, each contestant presents a team of monsters and draws five cards (the cards are used to attack the team of monsters). However, if you don't like the cards you've drawn, you can discard some but that will award your opponent Guts Points. Every card requires a certain number of Guts Points to use, so discarding too many cards will give your opponent an advantage. Try to keep all of this in mind as you fight to become a master breeder in MONSTER RANCHER BATTLE CARD GB.』
