(Madden 2000 for Game Boy Color)
『I thought this game was pretty bad. This is because I played soccer for the old Attari, which is at least 15 years old, and the graphics were just as good, only the gameplay was more realistic. this game is simple. One guy gets the ball, another guy runs into him, he falls down, end of play. Without lighting it's impissible to see anything. Also, Some things aren't realistic like 80 yard punts. Worst of all, there are no levels. I've played games and even with the worst rated teams, which by the way all of the teams are just as good, all of the games I creamed the other team by over 50 points. Madden for the N64 was very good, but for game boy it was bad.』

(Madden is a great game for the Color GameBoy)
『When I picked up Madden 2K for the Gameboy I was interested in seeing how EA/THQ can pull off the solid football game that is present on the PSX and PC.

This game plays surprisingly well considering the power of this little system. The playbook for offense and defense gives you a strong core set of plays. I was able to find most of my favorite plays that I'm accustomed to from Madden on the PSX. The only main difference that may shock some game players is the use of the old Genesis passing windows for pass plays. This is logical considering that there is only two buttons. I think an option for directional passing like in NFL Blitz would be cool. Also the players names are not present-instead the numbers are used. This may cause problems for people who do not follow NFL football closely.

The graphics in Madden 2000 are average. The game models are very limited due to having eleven players on each team but overall they moved quickly and played the way I'm accustomed to. The Gameplay reacted like other Madden versions and there seems to be different player ratings for speed and ability. Most of the player moves are included in the game as well (spin, turbo boost, hurdle and dive).

Overall I like Madden 2000 on the GameBoy. I have spent countless hours of enjoyment playing this game.』

(Game Boy Color?)
『This game is typical of Game Boy games, flat, no challenge and a general piece of garbage. Game Boy Color is just another twist on a washed up 80's style arcade game. Now that we are almost to the year 2000 I think it's about time we give up on inferior products like Game Boy.』

(A good Football Fix)
『I purchased Madden 2000 before the Thanksgiving holiday as I knew that traveling would get quite monotenous. At first getting used to the running plays was difficult but with practice running became the cornerstone of my offense. Passing takes a bit getting used to as well but with a passing window format you can quickly see who is downfield ready to catch the perfect pass from QB Steve McNair of the Titans. Yes, I said the Titans. The new expansion teams are included and add to the excitement of the game. That is, the teams you are playing against are the teams you are watching on Sunday, Monday, and in some cases Thursday. One improvement I feel that could be made is in the format of plays. While each play is drawn out and is easily understandable, I find that moving from one to another is a little confusing at first. The first time you are making a final drive in the last 20 seconds of the game is where you'll ask, how do I stop the clock.....how do I kneel....time out. This is where you will find yourself fumbling with button after button. After a while you get the hang of it but it does take some time. Madden 2000 is exciting and helps you get through a week without a Thursday game.』

(Definitely a well-made game)
『Even though I only rented this game for 5 days from a local rental place, that was more than enough time to see that this was definitely a good game. I liked mainly everything about it, from the easy gameplay to the good graphics. There were only a couple of things that made me hold off on giving this game the full 5 star rating. First, the music, although OK, became redundant to the point that I turned it off and left it there. Second, even though there is a Sudden Death option (first team to score wins), if you want to play in the Exhibition, Season, or Playoff modes, you're going to be playing for a while. The minimum time for one of these games is 20 minutes (4 quarters of 5 minutes each), and that does not count the time that you spend choosing your plays. I wouldn't mind this as much if there was some sort of way to save mid-game, and come back and finish it up later. There is a password feature that lets you continue your current season or playoff run, but no way to save in the middle of the game. Other than those two things, I absolutely loved the game, and I would recommend it to others.』
『The players may look pint-sized, but you'll still find all the hard-hitting action of the NFL in MADDEN NFL 2000. Choose from all 31 of the NFL teams and hit the field for an Exhibition Match-up or a Sudden Death game, where the team that scores first wins. If you are looking for a challenge, fight your way through the Season to make the Playoffs and maybe even the Super Bowl. Or you can just skip the Season and head straight to the Playoffs. All of the elements of pro football are here: substitutions, reverse plays, audibles, diving catches, and so much more. With over 150 different offensive and defensive plays, the playing style of each team can be recreated. Put on a helmet and get ready for some football with MADDEN NFL 2000.』

『i never got my game from this vendor, i payed for this game and expected it to come and it never came』

(Nice!)
『This is a great little controller, and I do mean little. Actually, it's only slightly smaller than a standard Gamecube controller, which for me, is a plus. I have rather small hands, and found the OEM ones to be a little big for me to reach all the buttons comfortably. This one fits just great. My only gripe is that the start button is wedged in between a couple of rises of plastic, and I have to stick my finger in there to push it. As this is a button I don't need to use much, it's not that big a deal. I've had no issues at all with wireless reception, works great as far as that is concerned, and the battery use seems minimal.』

(Very nice.)
『My daughter really enjoyed this game. It kept her entertained for hours on end. We sold it, but she wants it back, again! Which proves that it may be played many times, before one is through with it.』

(Survival Kids)
『This is my favorite game out of all of the others I own. You play as either a boy or girl who gets stranded on a deserted island. You start off with only a pocket knife and you need to find food, water, shelter, etc in order to survive. With some objects you can create others, for example you can create a fishing pole to catch food. Anyway I love this game, I can play it for hours. I highly recommened, but it's a shame that they don't make it anymore.』

(Confessions of an Obsessed Game-Owner)
『P>This is simply a classic-- you are stranded on a desert island and you must fight animals and collect an amalgam of foods (such as fruits and fish) and supplies (a kindling and working matches) to stay alive. In this game time passes, and the weather changes as well. This is important in the game; for example you can't light a fire and cook your food when it's raining. This game is not easy to beat-- there are eight possible endings and rumors of a "bonus game" when you uncover all eight.

This game is phenomenal. It's both fun and educational--good for most ages (10 and up). Kids will love it because of the concept and the challenge. You must monitor your fatigue, hunger, thirst, and health levels and replenish them when they get to an unsafe level. Parents will love it because it's very educational. It may teach you how to survive should you actually get stuck on a desert island.

Overall, this game is simply one of the best I've played in my short yet consequential life. It's a shame that this game isn't made anymore. You'll simply have to buy a used one!』

(14 year old Gamer)
『This is the best game boy color game I have! I play it for hours strait!
You are ship wrecked on an island and you have a bag but the only thing usefull thing in it is a knife, which you use to cut tall grass to get places, kill animals to eat, etc. You must find fruit to eat, kill animals to eat for food, and find water to survive, you must also find a way to make fire. This is the best game ever! The fun never stops, and it is so much fun! I recomend you BUY it TODAY!
I dont have any complaints for this game! Anyone will love this game, boys and girls (in the game you can be a boy or a girl), all ages, my sister who is 17 almost 18 finds this game to be very fun, and my mom also likes to play it.』

(Survival Kids)
『I like this game because once you figure out what you need to do, you keep going until you need to think again. At first the game seems just like a corky survival game with no where to go, but as you get farther into the game, you deal with temples, magic gems, and much more! To survive you need to collect items, merge them together, and use them. I promise you'll have fun!』
『Nintendo Game Boy Color GBC Game: Survival Kids game for the Nintendo Game Boy Color system, in excellent condition. Includes game cartridge only.』
Survival Kidsis an unconventional puzzle game that hooked us from the moment we powered it up. You control a young survivor who has been stranded on a deserted island after the sinking of a cruise ship. Armed only with your wits and a pocketknife, your challenge is to find a way off the island.

Along the way you'll find several more items that will help you progress through the game's devious puzzles. Fortunately, items can be combined to create complex objects that can be used in solving these challenges. In addition to the puzzles, your character must also keep a healthy supply of food and fresh water. You'll also want to stay rested if you aim to survive. Since this title plays on the Game Boy Color, it is no surprise that the graphics are adequate without being too fancy. The sound effects are also decent, but not overwhelmingly impressive.--T. Byrl Baker

Pros:

  • Unique puzzles
  • Decent graphics
Cons:
  • May be too easy for the true puzzle fanatic, but it's still a lot of fun

(Ben 10: Race Against Time......)
『Directed by Alex Winter(who starred in The Lost Boys&Bill&Ted's Excellent Adventure) comes Ben 10: Race Against Time; a live-action movie based on the Ben 10 cartoon show from Cartoon Network. Ben 10 is about ten-year-old Ben Tennyson's discovery of a device called the Omnitrix that allows him to change his form into that of ten aliens. Hence the name of Ben 10. The plot revolves around an alien known as Eon. Grandpa Max tells Ben that Eon was the first alien the Plumbers(a group he is part of) ever faced, and that they thought they'd locked him up. Instead, when Grandpa Max leads the kids there, they find out Eon has escaped. Grandpa Max feels that Eon will be after his doomsday device known as the Hands of Armageddon. Heatblast, Wildmutt, Diamondhead&Grey Matter were the only alien forms presented in the movie and were a real blast to see. I really loved the movie myself. It does the series justice. I wish Cartoon Network would make more movies of Ben 10 or a live-action tv series...it would definitely be cool if they did.

The movie stars: Lee Majors, Graham Phillips, Haley Ramm, Christien Anholt and Robert Picardo. It clocks in at around 90 minutes and is the most fun you'll ever waste your time on. I really liked this movie and plan to get into the series alot more. Check it out!!!

『It's Cartoon Network's second live-action movie and it's a really great one, too !

"Ben 10: Race Against Time" has Ben (played by Graham Phillips) back in his hometown of Bellwood. Even though he's back in school and leaving his hero adventures behind him, it seems that Ben will be facing his greatest challenge yet. An evil alien named Eon has risen and seeks Ben and his Omnitrix. Now Ben - along with Gwen (Haley Ramm), Grandpa Max (Lee Majors), and the last remaining "Plumbers" - must defeat Eon once and for all or the entire world is doomed ! Experience the movie and its great effects, plus see Ben turn into some of your fav alien heroes like you've never seen them before !

Also on this cool DVD, there are lots of behind-the-scenes bonus features like interviews with the cast and more !

(It breaks my heart, too)
『I've been a fan of the Lufia series ever since the first game, "Lufia and the Fortress of Doom" was first released on the Super NES in 1993. It is without a doubt one of my absolute favorite series ever, right up there with Zelda, Mana, Breath of Fire, and the early Final Fantasy titles. When I heard several years ago that they were finally planning to make a third game I was worried it might not make it to the U.S. but once I found out it was I was absolutely estatic! I could hardly wait! I bot it from a local retailer the week it came out and was filled with anticipation all the way home. As I studied the boxart and looked through the manual I thought that the game might just live up to my expectations but after a few hours of gameplay I started to feel disappointed, and the longer I played the more disappointed I got.

I really feel this game lacks the magic of the earlier titles for the Super NES. As far as the superficials go (graphics, music, etc.), they're all right, nothing especially praise worthy, but it is a Game Boy Color game after all, so I didn't let that get in the way. What disappointed me were the characters, storyline and worst of all the gameplay itself.

The storyline is loosely connected to earlier Lufia games but hardly mentions Maxim, Selan or any of the other heroes we've come to love so much in the previous games. Yes, one of them does make an appearance but his role is so incredibly limited that I felt he was wasted.

There are more playable characters in this game than any other Lufia game but they really felt underdeveloped to me. You'd get one character on your team and barely have time to learn they're backstory before another character joined, and the previous character suddenly was no longer important to the plot. This made me long for the previous games where the characters were so well developed and always played essential roles in the game's story. These characters also had very little to differentiate them between each other. They look different, and some of them have different weapons from others but that's it. Most of them can learn essentially the same skills and are just "place fillers", to fill up part of the grid in an incredibly clunky and confusing battle system that revolves around colors and columns. This is what turned me off more than anything else from the game. It just felt like such a terribly implemented idea, like a lackluster attempt at the the type of combat or skill system you'd see in a PSOne RPG. It just didn't seem to fit at all in a Lufia game, where I felt the simplicity of classic turn based system (coupled with the wide array of spells and IP to select from) had been a big part of the allure.

Capsule Monsters and IP are also completely absent from the game as are the innovative Puzzles and "Zelda-like" field items of Lufia II. Also every time you enter a dungeon (even the final dungeon) it's construced randomly this probably seemed like a good idea to the programmers, but in reality it just makes every dungeon feel the same, and worse each floor on each dungeons feels the same, since there's very little variation in terms of size or shape. The end result is that there's no real exploration in dungeons, it's just the same thing, over and over and over again.

I really wanted to love this game, I honestly did but in the end I couldn't, I could hardly even like it. I can hardly remember having been so disappointed by a sequel. However thankfully there is some good news! A few years after this they decided to make another Lufia game called Lufia: The Ruins of Lore. I was very hesitant this time, but went out and bought it anyway and was very pleasantly surprised! It plays and feels so much more like the earlier Lufia games than this game (The Legend Returns) does. I strongly recomend you check out that game instead or, if you haven't already, try Lufia II for the Super NES!』

(egg dragon rocks my world)
『ok looking at this game , you may think that its just another game boy rpg that died last year but this is a lufia game the 3rd in the series. Great story and many hidden "things" remember the anicent cave? its now 200 floors and all random.........I died at 134 and bam lost everything..... its soo .....blip blip yummy that the only thing ill say is "I love the egg dragon more than EVER!!!!"』

(can i .....)
『can i order Lufia: The Legend Returns by sending chek
if ican please send me an email to tell me』

(An unbelievable title)
『Lufia : The Legend Returns was one of the final games to hit the GBC, and the game is simply awesome! The new twisting storyline takes place 300 years after the 1st doom island war.
Once again, Natsume impresses the world with its unique battle system. The system looks complicating, but within the first 2 hours of gameplay you'll adapt to it. 9, yes up to 9 people can fight along your side, and the IP (Item Points) and a new LP (Learning Point) system is introduced. IP are built as you take damage, and when used against monsters it is impressive! LP is used for learning Magic, as well as increasing your stamina.
The game's uniqueness is brought out again in the dungeons. Nope, there isn't a map. Each floor level changes as you pass them, and the trasures of each room are rehidden. While to some this can be annoying, it really isn't; it can be very helpful at times when you are in need of restocking your inventory.
Simply put, Lufia III outstands the world again, and beginners as well as experts are put to the ultimate test. My only advice is that you keep and refer to the instrucion manual; it'll be confusing at first ;)

--A little intro to the game--
The story begins when a cerulean haired fortune teller named Seena enters the small village of Patos. Seena meets Wain, a simply unintelligent yet strong teenager whom lives in the village. They become friends, and set off for the adventure of their lives!』

(What a sweet game!)
『Awesome story! Fantastic characters! Beautiful music! Great monsters! Maniac bosses! So compelling you won't want to stop playing! And what a plot twist at the end! A MUST HAVE for RPG gamers!』
