Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Studio Ghibli may be to Japan what Dreamworks and Universal are to America...) 『I can remember a long time ago seeing a preview for "Kiki's Delivery Service" on a Disney sing along video, unaware that it was a Japanese film made almost 10 years before in the year I was born by whom I now consider to be a legend, Hayao Miyazaki. It intrigued my 8 year old self, but I never got around to watching it. Then, about a month ago, on the recommendations of my already acquainted friends and having already having had some experience in watching anime, I started to watch some of the Studio Ghibli productions. They became like potato chips, I couldn't watch just one one time. As of now, I have seen in this order Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Kiki's Delivery Service (finally!), Princess Mononoke, and Laputa Castle in the Sky I have to say that Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite one right now, with Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away close behind. Part of that may be the fact that the character of Howl has captured my heart in a way that no other animated character has ever done before. You girls thought Aladdin was cute when you were kids? Uh-uh, Howl is someone worth crushing on, at least for me ;) All that aside, the animation is much better than Disney has ever done, and Disney has done a lot. I think this is on par in terms of plot and animation with The Prince of Egypt and The Road to El Dorado, two of my favorite Dreamworks movies. In fact, Miyazaki-san has perhaps made me come to love animation in any country much more at 19 than at 9. I look at classics like Pinocchio and Sword in the Stone with new eyes. As for the voice casting, I am quite pleased with who they have. I always like to hear larger name voices in a Japanese movie dub than the people who are only known for dubbing anime. Christian Bale's voiceover of Howl is one of the main reasons that I am fawning so much over him right now. That quiet, smooth voice of his makes me become giddy whenever he talks. Also, I did not realize that Jean Simmons, the woman who voiced the old Sophie, who was also very memorable, was the same person who was Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls over 50 years ago. It was one of those movies I had grown up with, so knowing that made me admire her even more. Also, Billy Crystal had managed to play a comedic fire demon, but he also had some more serious moments as well, such as when he was a blue flame in Sophie's hands about to be freed from the spell. This was definitely not a copy of Mike Wizowsky here. All and all, this is an absolute must see for any lovers of anime, or animation in general. Miyazaki's other movies must be seen too. Do it! 』
(Another wonderful Miyazaki film!) 『I loved this movie. Yes, I've read the book, and yes, it is far different from the movie, but I loved them both independently. I read Diana Wynne Jones's book because of this movie. I so loved the film, that I wanted to read the book. Actually, I understood the movie a bit more after reading the book, but I still enjoyed them both immensely on their own--despite the differences.
My kids watch this movie over and over again. They love it just as much as Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, and Nausicaa. This is a great Hayao Miyazaki film--and probably one of our favorites. Don't let the negative reviews scare you away. Even if it doesn't stay true to the book, it is still a great film.』
(The first time I enjoyed watching an old woman climb some stairs!) 『Let me preface this review by saying that I have never read the book that this was based on, and I don't really care to. I've heard the book's very different and I think it would ruin my enjoyment of this fantastic film. Okay, I love this movie, it may be my favorite Miyazaki movie of all time (though The Cat Returns comes pretty close). There's just something magical in this fantasy tale that really draws me in. First off, some people complain that this movie made no sense, but I really enjoy Miyazaki's narrative style; he doesn't spell things out for you plot point by plot point (the story is not very hard to understand anyway, I don't understand people's confusion). It really gives this movie good replay value; everytime I rewatch it, I learn/notice something new. Secondly, the animation is beautiful. Just the sweeping scenes of the landscape was gorgeous and really helped you get a feel for the setting. Thirdly, I felt the characters were very endearing. Especially Calcifer. I really loved his character (with Billy Crystal voicing), he is very humorous ("Sophie, it looks like it's gonna RAIN!"; this line just wouldn't be as funny if someone else voiced it). The other characters were also very likeable, and showed excellent character depth and development. Especially Sophie, who we see transform from a timid, mousy girl to a woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind.
Overall, I highly recommend this movie to anyone who's a fan of fantasy films.』
(One of Miyazaki's best.) 『I'm surprised there are some people on here complaining about the book to movie adaptation. Studio Ghibli rarely follows the few novels they've based movies on... Tales Of Earthsea was totally different than any book in the series!
Anyway, this is the movie that got me into Miyazaki/Ghibli a few years back. It's beyond words how good the storyline and animation are. The only Miyazaki movie I think is better is Princess Mononoke.

(Ben 10- The Complete Season 1.........) 『It wasn't until the new show, Ben 10 Alien Force, debuted that I ever took an interest in Ben 10 at all. My nephews, 12&14 years of age, had told me about it before but I let it slide past me somehow. Basically what Ben 10 is about is Ben Tennyson, his cousin Gwen, and Grampa Max. Ben finds a bracelet called the Omnitrix. This bracelet allows him to assume the form of ten different aliens, each with different powers to use in any given situation. Sometimes; he changes into what he wants, while others times not. Then, after doing so, there's a time limit as to how long he can remain that way. Afterwards, the bracelets' power is drained for an unspecified amount of time before it can be used again. This puts Ben in a pickle, at times. In these first thirteen episodes, Ben&Company go up against the likes of Vilgax Dr. Animo, Kevin 11, and more. Vilgax is especially a pain in this first season as he wants the Omnitrix to conquer the galaxy. Being a comic book fan, the show itself reminds me of a DC comic called Dial H for Hero, in which one of the heroes dialed H-E-R-O on their watch to change them into a superhero. The series itself was created by Man of Action(a group consisting of Duncan Rouleau, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, and Steven T. Seagle) and is voiced by Tara Strong(Teen Titans, The Batman), Dee Bradley Baker, Jim Ward, Meagan Smith, Paul Eiding, Richard McGonagle, Richard Steven Horvitz, Steven Jay Blum and Fred Tatasciore.
I honestly never thought I'd like this show but it's great. I'll admit, it might not have the same production values as, say, The Batman, Teen Titans or Justice League but it is just as entertaining and good.

The base (sold separately) comes with two of these battery kits plus the base. Since the Wii can use FOUR Wiimotes, you'll need two additional batteries, and this Battery Kit fits the bill very well.
The batteries hold their charge quite well and for a long time. They also don't take TOO long to charge up. Unfortunately, you can't set the batteries in the charger by themselves: They have to be attached to a Wiimote. Also, as Nintendo now ships the Wiimotes with a plastic cover, or "glove", you have to peel the "glove" at least halfway off of the Wiimote to place on the base. It can also be a little tricky to get the Wiimote to sit on the base because the Wrist strap gets in the way. It's not difficult, but it could have been a better design.
All in all I love this Battery Kit and the sold separately Nyko Charge Station. It does exactly what it's supposed to do: Give you a decent rechargeable battery for the Wiimote. My only concern is that the base could have been designed a bit better. The Battery Kit itself, for which this review is for, is perfect!

A wiimote can work up to 8 hours with the power of this accessory. For sure the batteries duration diminush with the time but I can still use my old 1 year and a half batteries for 4-5 hours. (and I used them a lot : Maybe 250 recharges ! LOL)
It won't last for 5 years I think ... but I only had to open my wiimote 2 times after buying my wii ; 1 time for the batteries coming the wii remote (for 3 days) and the second time when I bought the nyko kit !』

I made it a point to not listen to some of the negative reviews spread across the internet about this controller. Basically, I wanted a PS3 controller that felt more like an Xbox 360 controller. I saw that this controller had concave joysticks, which is really nice, however... The joysticks' springs are very tight. They snap back up with pretty decent force, making it difficult to make small movements with your thumbs to nail a headshot or something of that nature. Also, the joysticks have a "dead zone" where they don't react on screen until they are at a far enough angle. It's a pretty sizable angle too. I was moving back and forth between my Dual Shock 3 and the Nyko Zero, and the Dual Shock joysticks react to the tiniest little movements of your thumb. The Nyko Zero doesn't react until you leave the "dead zone", then it reacts way too much throwing me off from where I wanted to aim. The shape of the controller is nice as is the medal plate to keep your hands cool. The trigger are too far apart, however. To make matters worse, my controller came with a faulty D-pad. It was very loose as if it had been used many many times before. All in all, I was really excited when I saw this controller online, but now I'm not so excited. At least it was cheap. Keep all these negative aspects in mind before you purchase this controller.』

Cons: Does not feel ergonomic, the edges feel uncomfortable on the palms, If you have smaller hands, the L1/R1 with respect to L2/R2 felt like it is spaced a lot farther than compared to the sony's controller.
Overall, if you need a cheap second controller, I would recommend this. But for use in a longer gameplay, you probably want the sony contoller.』

(Adds rumble, lacks Bluetooth) 『I had this item for about one week. It was meant to be a cheap substitute for the DualShock3's rumble capabilities - we already have 2 Sixaxis and I didn't feel like spending another $40 for 'rumble'. These are my impressions so far, and they are not likely to change because we're not likely to use it a lot in the future.
THE GOOD: - It sells for about half the price of a DualShock3. - It is a bit larger than the Sixaxis. I like this because I am a grownup and my hands are relatively large. - It rumbles and it vibrates. I can't compare the vibrations with the DualShock because I haven't tried one yet but it's quite decent.
THE BAD: - It comes with a USB dongle - it is NOT a Bluetooth device. If you have a 2-USB ports PS3, you are going to use one of them for the Zero dongle and there will be only one port left for everything else. If you have two of these, then you just maxed out on USB ports and you will have to think about getting yourself a USB hub - effective but not pretty. - Personally, I am not comfortable with the Xbox-like shape. Maybe it's just me. The kids don't seem to mind but, after using this for a couple of games, the rumble-less Sixaxis is now back as their number one choice of a controller.
MY RATING: The makers of this product should have made it VERY CLEAR that this device is NOT Bluetooth-enabled. The dongle technology is probably responsible for the controller's lower price but it can cause major headaches and significant inconvenience to many PS3 owners. I am taking out 2 stars for the dongle inconvenience. I am taking another star because the lack of Bluetooth capabilities is not clearly advertised. I am adding back one star for the low price. The larger size (a plus) is counterbalanced by the odd shape (a minus). After doing the math, it turns out that the Zero gets 3 stars.』
(Nice concept, execution failure.) 『I bought this controller when the price went down thanks to Deal of the Day. What a mistake that was. But it wasn't all bad. Let's start off with some good points of this controller. The feel of the controller is very much like the XBox 360 controller, with the triggers being triggers, concave analog sticks, and a junk D-pad (not really a pro, but I found it to be a bit better than the stock 360 pad but still inferior to the stock PS3 pad). It's definitely larger than the 360 controller as well. Other pros include a bundled rechargeable battery with an optional AA pack and a 10ft. USB cord for recharging, easily the equivalent of the 360 Play and Charge kits. The face of the controller has metal plating, keeping the controller cool while giving it a higher quality look. But that's only the look.
It's the downsides of the controller that really take this concept down. First, I found that the analog sticks aren't nearly as sensitive as the Sixaxis/DualShock 3. The left stick is serviceable, but trying to use the right stick in FPS style games became a headache. The "dead zone" for these sticks is very large, whereas the stock PS3 pad has almost none. I had to press the stick further in order to move the aim, and I found that it was near impossible to make small, precise movements for shooting enemies that were only a little bit off center. In other words: forget headshots. The USB dongle is large and the orange color certainly does not match the PS3's blue and green when turned on. Also, being a USB device, it's impossible for the Zero to turn the PS3 on remotely like the Sixaxis. My biggest complaint? The Zero became twitchy after three days of use, and wouldn't stop rapidly registering L1/L2 button presses. Repeated attempts to solve the problem, such as reconnecting it, removing the USB dongle, removing the battery, and even taking the controller apart and re-fitting the connections could not solve it. Because of this problem, the controller is pretty much useless now. Sigh.

(Sapphire Blue) 『I have to say, compared to the other pokemon games such as Crystal and the very first ones this game isn't too bad. I'm about half way through the game and it has a lot of the same concepts. Not a lot of familiar pokemon though and as far as I know, none of the original three, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle are in there either. You start as a different character and I gotta say that's not bad but overall the game is fun but it gets a little too much like the same old.

(Another Pokemon Review by me..) 『Pokemon Sapphire another Pokemon game to the Pokemon franchise. This game and its counter part Ruby are nearly identical. You start off as a wet behind the ears kid who wants to become the Pokemon Champion. First, the game has a lot in common with Pokémon gamesSilver,Gold, andCrystal. For example, players can choose to be a boy or a girl trainer, an internal clock sets events at certain times, and the game's handy-dandy Pokédex helps players keep track of the many stats. You're main goal is still to beat all the Gym Trainers and become the Pokémon Master. If you've played the old games, you will be right at home. But not all is the same.
The most obvious change is in the battles themselves. Now that two Pokémon can fight on your side at the same time, you can tag-team them against an enemy by taking advantage of the strengths of your Pokémons while covering their weaknesses. For example, you can now have a water Pokémon watch your fire Pokémon's back. You can also attack more than one Pokémon ata time.
A whole new element to the game focuses on how berries are used in battle. And if you collect enough berries, you can take them to a Berry Blender and make a PokéBlock, which is a little super-charged candy that raises your Pokémon's "Condition" attributes. You can then groom your Pokémon for regional contests and compete for ribbons like "Best of Show," which will unlock additional contests. There's even strategy in how to best use your berries: pick too many and the berry tree will disappear; plant berries, though, and a tree will grow. You can also build a Secret Base in special areas of the game, which you can decorate just like you can your room.
And let us not forget that Pokémon Sapphire has a kickin' multiplayer system, too. You can trade Pokémon, and link up to four players for incredible battles. The only downside is that you can't link up with the old Game Boy Color games.--Bryan Karsh

This season Ben learns even more about the Omnitrix and the secrets it hides and gains a few new powers in the process. Almost always with comical results but he also gets a chance to see himself, Gwen and Grandpa in the future and what might or might not come true for him. Old enemies return and a few new ones surface as well. It's a show for not only kids but others of all ages as well. I'm sure the next season of Ben 10 will only continue to draw in more people as the word catches on about this quirky yet appealing show.』

(Relivin' Saturday Morning FUN with your nephews, and nieces) 『I was watching TV (Cartoon Network, of course!) with my younger brother's boys, and my younger sister's girls. Shows like Kids Next Door, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, two shows okay for kids, but left me talking to them about the cartoons that "I" watched when I was their age: The Herculoids, Space Ghost, etc. They sat there listening to me talk about these shows, and how cool they were to me, when my youngest nephew says "Ben 10". I asked them what that was and they tell me its about a boy that can turn into 10 alien monsters to fight bad guys, kinda like the cartoons that I watched, but way better! It comes on right after Foster's. Well an hour later (they showed two episodes in a row of Ben 10) I was hooked! Ben 10 has a very interesting storyline (even for adults), and very cool Alien/Monster designs. The two episodes I watched dealt with "Ghostfreak" one of Ben's aliens escaping from the Omnitrix, and trying to merge its form with Ben's so it can survive in the sunlight, and commit horrible things. This was actually kind of a creepy character, and a dark story, I loved it! And so did the kids. As I said before, I was hooked! I watched this show every chance that I could with them, and now I own them all in the 3 DVD sets that have been released so far. If you are an adult that still likes cartoons, or just want to have something that is very fun, and entertaining for the kids to watch, you need to get Ben 10!』 『No Description Available.
