I was a little worried about the reviews people wrote about this product. I have owned this same printer for over three years and I have nothing but great things to say about it. I never have problems with it, the print quality is great for an at home printer, I can fax with no problems, and I love that I can copy as well as scan (very useful for law school). I use all the functions it has, and am never disappointed. Maybe I am lucky? Maybe it is because I know how to alter the default functions so that pages print in the order I want, or with the quality I want? Maybe the other people who purchased this product wanted something that would work for their business (in which case I would suggest something more commercial)? I don't know why the reviews are so bad. I have gone through many printers in the past, and they have always left something to be desired, however since I purchased this one, I am finally satisfied. It is the perfect printer for at home/school needs.』

The price of the cartridges would make it cheaper to keep buying new printers(cartridges included). Bought an HP at a similar price and amazed at the difference. (Not bad at all!) 『Ok I bought this when my Brother All-in-one had to go to the repair shop for the 3rd time to have the printer head cleaned... for another $80.. Anyway, for the same amount of money (about $80) I bought this Lexmark. I've been happy with it so far. I haven't had any significant printing problems - other than running out of ink from use! The phone is bad, I'll agree there.. I don't use the phone handset, but I do use the fax and copier. Even the scanner does pretty well! I had no problems connecting with my PC (running Win XP Pro) - and I leave things on 24/7 and don't lose connectivity. I have shared it on my internal network so my son and husband use it too. The ink is a little pricey, espcially when my kids like to print color photos of all their favorite cartoon characters over and over. Otherwise a good $80 investment. I'd buy another if this one breaks.. I've already gotten my money's worth over the last year.
