IPhone 3G used's review (hp 3505 dn color laser printer) 『HP CP3505DN Color Laserjet PrinterI purchased the hp 3505 dn primarily for its color duplex capabilities and it does a superb job. The printer arrived with all toner cartridges installed and all I had to do was remove the packing materials, load rhe software, connect it to my network and print. I have never had a paper jam have used regular copy paper as well as card stock. I don't do double sided with card stock though. I rate hp printers as one of the best brands and currently have 2 hp color lasers and 2 black and white laser printers and have had no problems with any of them. I can reccommend the hp 3505 dn printer to anyone.』
(Absolutely amazing printer!) 『I have had HP color laser printers in the past and if you're looking for a printer for work or mostly text this is absolutely amazing. While no laser printer can give you the photo quality of an inkjet, this printer (1) has a short warm up time, (2) prints great color if you use charts or legal work and need to see the citations, and (3) is simply quiet. You can't go better than HP. Unfortunately, because it's color, the price of toner isn't the cheapest, but if you couple this with the fact that it's duplex, you'll save more than you think.』

(Great printer!) 『I got this printer a few months ago for my office and so far I really like it. The duplex option is terrific. Double-sided printing not only is greener, it helps to keep the files from getting too fat.
The print quality is great, though the colors do print a bit darker than I'd expect based on their appearance on screen. I haven't had any paper jams or other problems with it.
Getting the full size printer cartridges with it is a good deal. So far, I've only had to change the black one so it does monitor them separately (I've heard of other HP color printers that force you to change the color printer cartridges when the black runs out).
BTW, I don't know what the guy with the envelope problems is talking about. I print envelopes frequently and it has never sealed one. Based on my experience, I would guess his problems have more to do with the humidity around his store of envelopes than with the printer.』

This printer is NOT user friendly. If it's hooked to a network, only the network administrator can create custom paper sizes. In addition, when printing envelopes it seals the envelopes as it goes through the machine. If you're lucky enough you can grab the envelope and pull it apart before it's totally sealed, but then you have a wrinkled mess on the flap. In addition, it does not pull the envelopes properly from the tray. You must keep just a slight amount of pressure on the top envelope in order to get it to pull correctly. So, picture this, you're keeping slight pressure on the top envelope as another envelope is coming out the machine. You must grab the envelope that just came out of the machine and try to pry the flap up before it is totally useless while keeping pressure on the stack. If you don't need to print envelopes or make custom paper sizes, this printer is okay.

IPhone 3G used's review (5 years later and still performing great!) 『Got this printer for my birthday in July 2003. Five years later and it's still chuggin' along as well as it ever did.
Cheap and easy to find ink tanks, when it thinks it's dirty it does a self-maintenance cleanup. Photo quality is great, I mean right to the edge of the photo paper if you ask that of it.
I've been through a lot of printers before this one, Fujitsu DL3600 (89-98), HP-712C (97-99), Canon BJC-1000, BJC-2000, BJC-2100 and in 2002 a Canon i320 (which gave up after only a few months). Kinda glad it did because... Frustration set in big time but I was soon rewarded with a "good" printer, the one I still have today (August 2008).

However, this model printer seems to have some trouble after about a year and a half on average; it refuses to print in black. I'm a college student, black ink is a necessity. At this point, I don't know if a new head will work out, though it does print color ink. I'm actually trying to find some user reviews now to let me know if replacing the print head will work. Pity--I have tons of cartridges from 123 inkjets for it. I knew it probably wouldn't last long, considering the price, and I did get a refurbished one--not off this site. I paid around 60.00 including shipping and handling for it almost 2 years ago. Didn't expect it to putter out this soon, though. And, just in time for mid-term papers. Yaaay! Now, I have to find another canon model that takes the same ink cartridge.』
