We have it connect to a HD cable box, a HDMI DVD player and an aerial. The picture is as good as you can imagine, excellent color and contrast.
There are a few issues that you might be interested in:
The sound is dreadful, not bad but dreadful. I guess Samsung assumes you are going to use a separate sound system. I put together a sound set up with some old multimedia speakers I have (Klipsch) and an optical to analog audio converter Digital Audio To Analog Audio Converter and use the cable box AC socket to power up the audio system but most people don't want to figure out something like this. Samsung really should make a one piece model with decent forward facing speakers.
Our HDMI cables arrived a few days after the set so we used the component input first. On this set it's clearly softer then the HDMI inputs so if you have HDMI compatible devices, use it.
Our cable system uses HD boxes that don't talk well with the Samsung. Sometimes we get an error message that implores us to use component instead of HDMI but it goes away quickly and the box works anyway. This was a problem with our first Samsung two years ago and it hasn't been dealt with yet. Also the cable box sometimes puts out a signal that causes a slight contrast change at the top and bottom of the picture. It changes with the channel. It never happens with the DVD player or the aerial.
We live in an apartment so the aerial reception is spotty. Our 32" set which is far from the windows gets better reception then this set which is next to a window. Is this due to the tuner in this set? We can't tell yet.
This is an excellent purchase as long as you know the sound problems.』

With Regular cable, the picture is very grainy and not that nice. For people looking for watching TV NOT with Hi-definition, stick with a regular aspect TV. I don't like watching tv with short and fat people as happens when you stretch the picture to fill the screen if the transmission is not in 16x9. If you don't stretch it, you will have black bars to the left and right of the picture. It looks nice though when watching a channel in high definition in 16x9 aspect. I recently bought a plasma HDTV and don't have the blurry picture so perhaps it's this TV and not the HD experience overall. As a computer monitor, yhe screen is a bit dark even after adjusting all available picture controls. In fact the tv picture is a bit dark too.』

Thought I was done. Started back to work, printed some docs with some color diagrams. Particularly the imagery was blury, almost as if they had shadows. Uhg, open and read manual; no help. Call HP customer support; now to their credit, "Bob" was helpful and patient. Patient because he explained my printer needed calibrating; 3 times worth. Then download and install latest firmware; oh, and calibrate 2 more times. Each calibrations cycle seemed to last 2 or 3 minutes; but I wasn't timing it. Printed off some test pages, good, problem solved or so I thought.
Next came this "spooler subsystem app" error. Uhg, what is this; google find out it's a .dll problem; going to require regedit. Ah no, I'm going to take a short cut and restore xp to yesterday setting so I can get back to work. Nope, that won't do it. Mind you, I can't print off the directions either. [..]
Follow the instructions, reinstall printer. What do you know, it works again. Folks it just shouldn't be this hard. I thought I was going to alleviate these problems by buying HP? Maybe next time.
So I've printed 100 pages or so now and for the money, I'm satisfied with the results. Would I recommend to a friend, reluctantly...』

I bought this printer to replace my 14 year old Hp LJ 4MP. I assumed the CP1215 would be capable of doing the same things my old one did and more in color. My immediate need was to print out baby shower invites. The card stock was within the limits of HP's recommendations, no thicker than a 4x6 card. The printer would print 1 invite, then error out with "misprint". After 20 minutes of making sure I removed all the tabs and protectors that HP ships with and making sure this model supported 4x6 card stock, I found a way to get the rest of my stock printed. I had to press the resume button, causing it to reinitialize the warm-up sequence and then print. Took 30 minutes to do 30 invites.
This printer seems fine to print every day stuff. But if you print specialty paper, size and type, be aware it might not handle the paper well.』

(Does not work with Vista on Dell Latitude E6400) 『This scanner looked promising. Nice footprint, easy user interface. Despite stating it is totally compatible with Vista however, it would not work at all with my new Dell Latitude E6400. After 4 hours on the telephone with both Canon and Dell, their technicians also concluded that it just would not work.
This was an incredibly frustrating experience, although Canon's technical support was pretty thorough.』

(Nice little scanner with some limitations) 『My Epson Perfection 4490 was the best scanner I ever owned--for the first year. At two years it has become dysfunctional. Back when it worked it did great transparencies, but it was a feature I rarely used. So I was willing to get the little CanoScan LiDE 200. I'm tempted to give it three stars, but I'll go with the premise that the compactness comes at a price. The Canon installed easily enough in Windows XP. On my desktop computer it runs pretty quickly. The software has some inconveniences relative to the Epson (when the Epson worked). The Canon can zoom in better for cropping on previews. I could not find a 4800 dpi setting, although I can set it to 1200 dpi and magnify. For scanning documents and prints this much resolution is rarely needed. Scans look sharp at 600 dpi, but a bit soft at 1200. The illumination and detectors that make it compact and make it possible to be powered by the USB cord are different from the models that have their own power cord. The source material has to be right against the glass to scan sharply. If there is a gap it will be out of focus. Scanning from my laptop (done mainly for experimental purpose) is very slow. The Canon scans upside down, compared to other scanners I have used. It seems strange at first, but it makes sense. It allows you to align the top of the document to the edge that is closest to you. In the advanced driver mode, for making black and white scans it is possible to adjust the sensitivity. The Epson could do that too. Some HP's that I owned before the Epson couldn't. For now the LiDE 200 does what I want well enough with a little bit less clutter than some bulkier scanners. The bulkier scanners do have more capability.
Edit: New laptop experiment When I first tried the CanoScan 200 with my laptop, I plugged it into my Kensington 4 port hub. That performance was very sluggish. For my new experiment I unplugged the hub and attached the CanoScan's USB cable directly to a laptop port. Performance was greatly improved, comparible to the desktop. On my desktop computer I have an abundance of USB ports (I have a PCI card full of them installed), so I have not experimented with a USB hub and the desktop.
