I am able to view my entire driveway out to the road with one camera. The color is decent but not exactly TV quality or anything, but my main concern was just to be able to see. It works well at night but you will see an almost black screen until a person walks up. You shouldn't expect to be able to pick out bushes, fixtures, etc. I was pleased with the night vision. My only complaint is that the cords are not very long and each extra cord is about $16. You can't splice them because they have special connectors on each end. The cameras hook up easily to the console, which you can then plug into your TV, DVR, etc. I like that the cameras will set off an audio alarm if it detects movement. It's good for knowing when someone is coming to your door. All in all, I'm pleased with this product.』

(It's OK) 『Purchased these to have a little more security around my house. The intent was to eventually hook the cameras up to be recorded. However this will not be done, as I can only record one channel with these cameras. I have the choice of flipping between cameras or having all four on the screen at the same time. I will be purchasing something else in the future. For now, this are a good deterrent. I will note that when there is an electric storm, and one of the camera picks up the lightening, the alarm goes off because the system thinks one of the cameras has been disconnected. Pretty disturbing the first time it happened, now it just wakes me up. I should have bought the extra cables, I only have 3 cameras up because I did not have enough cable to put the fourth on up, and now that I am going to replace them, I'm not wasting the money. Oh, and don't count on the night vision. It works great indoors where there are walls to reflect the infra red light, but outside that infra red is absorbed and you see maybe 5 feet in front of the camera and that is all.』

For serious photographers.) 『My father in law, who has been scanning in thousands of slides, negatives and photos going back at least 60 years brought samples of every kind of photographic data to my house to test out this scanner.
In the past I have scanned in many, many 35mm with a Canonscan 9950F. This scanner needed more stringent evaluation, it is obviously a powerhouse designed for serious users.
We set up on DELL XPS 600 with Windows XP. Hardware setup easy, even for beginners. Someone with experience would not even need directions.
Tried the scanner with 35mm slides, 35mm negatives, black and white color photos of different levels of quality. It worked well with all of them and was able to restore poor quality photos automatically. He had some slides that are in 7mm square cardboard frames (Ektacrome) takes more creativity to fit into the holders and has to be sort of kludged together. Those of us with some really old photographic material would appreciate the flexibility to perhaps purchase other holders for stranger sizes. Understandably, they would not be included since most people would not need them.
Color restoration on AutoScan was ok, but not Photoshop quality. Professional mode has many good choices of setting and produced superb results. Digital Ice works well to remove dust.
We could not figure out how to do multiple scans in professional mode. This may be due to the designers figuring that if you are using professional mode that you want to tweak the inputs yourself. Went to create new field for storage and everything disappeared and had to spend time figuring out where the scan was sent.
It is an excellent idea that that transparency feature is built into the machine. Top does not flop down easily, might not seem like a big deal but makes the media much easier to load when you don't have to hold up the top with one hand. Scanning multiple pages to pdf is great and very functional. The computer file user guide was useful.
This is not a scanner for you if you want a simple product to input a few family photos. If you are serious about digitizing years worth of photos or want to do specific detail work with your pictures then you may want to invest in it. It has more flexibility than most scanners for digitizing images.

(If This Scanner Were a Man, I'd Marry It) 『My first scanner was an itty bitty Canon LiDE 30 and from there I moved up to an HP all in one that didn't scan any better or faster, then I got an Epson V500 photo and slide scanner and was in scanner heaven. I scanned my slides without effort and was a very happy scanner.
Now along comes the Epson V700. Boy I thought the V500 was big. This baby makes that baby look like a baby. This is one humongous scanner. But does size make a scanner good. I don't know, but this is one super scanner. With the V500 I could scan four slides at once, but now I can do an even dozen. Imagine, scanning a dozen slides at the same time.
I am so giddy every time I slide something onto the tray to scan, this is really a professional piece of equipment. Gotta have room for it though, because as I said, it's big, but it works a treat. The scans are beautiful. The V500 is the queen of scanners, of that I have no doubt, but the V700 is truly the king of scanners. It is simply a beautiful machine. If it were a man I'd divorce my husband and marry it, that's how much I love this machine.』

You can scan 4 strips of negatives at a time, or 12 slides at a time, which is important to me because I still have a lot of film to scan. (Great scanner - more than does the job!) 『Epson Perfection V700 Photo Color Scanner
The Epson Perfection V700 is a dual lens scanner with documents, photo and slide capability, although its primary use would be to digitize large quantities of slides.
Four plastic slide holders are included, two for film strips, one for medium format and 4 x 5 negatives and one for slides (12 slide capacity). They do the job, but as has been noted elsewhere, they are flimsy. A slide-in white-backed panel allows print and document scanning.
Set-up was straightforward on my Windows XP computer with minimal directions provided in a large fold-out illustrated sheet. Included is a two-part power plug, USB cable, three software discs and a Silverfast manual. An online User's Guide is included.
Installation was straight-forward and took about five minutes. Make sure you follow directions and install the software before plugging in the USB cable.
My first test scans were accomplished easily (this scanner is fast!) and with excellent results. As noted by another reviewer, I found the Silverfast software cumbersome and chose to use the Epson scanning software. Photoshop Elements 5 is included in this bundle, and I made adjustments with this program but find I am used to my Photoshop so will use that instead. Photos scanned to 48 bits on this 6400dpi are considerably faster and cleaner than with my Epson 1650. I am impressed.
I have yet to begin scanning my considerable slide stash, but based on the reports of other, I am certain the results for my older slides will be equally spectacular, especially when using the included Digital Ice feature for scratch and dust removal. 』

Installation was a breeze, no problems at all. Just make sure to follow the instructions and install the software before connecting and powering on the scanner. I'm running Windows XP on a laptop with a dock and it took all of 25 seconds for the scanner to be ready on my machine once I powered the scanner on. VERY fast and easy.
The scanning software is very easy to use. You can scan using 'Auto' mode, 'Home' mode or 'Professional' mode, each mode giving you more options to choose in your scanning.
I tried all three scanning modes and I got beautiful scans with the 'Auto' mode, so I didn't fret about having to select a bunch of different options when scanning. But, I also liked using the advanced modes and getting different looks to my scanned materials. There's a great preview button that lets you view the options selected so you can quickly change an option if you don't like it.
The scanning plate for negatives is easy to use and the scans came out wonderful! I love seeing my old pictures again! And it's wonderful that I can save the ones I want and delete the scanned items I don't want. No more wasting time figuring out which negatives I should get made into photos. At 25.5 inches, the monitor is one of the larger types on the market, perhaps the largest size to be available without requiring the use of dual cables and multiple video cards. At about $500, the price is unbeatable.
Performance for this monitor is good. True photographic experts are not likely to be satisfied, because the monitor, like all in its class, is not capable of exactingly reproducing the widest range of gamut colors, nor is it up to the standards of the $2,000-plus models that offer uncompromising and detailed spot adjustments for photographic work. Bu don't let any of that dissuade you. I use the monitor all the time for my own digital photographs, and the images are clear, crisp, vibrant, and pleasing. The vast majority of us have no need for the most esoteric features of the highest-end monitors, and if we did, it is doubtful we would be reading this review, anyway.
What the T260 is, however, is a great monitor for the average user, and one that adds a touch of physical style that makes most other monitors look ancient by comparison. The monitor also offers HDMI connectivity, USB 2.0 ports, and a touch-sensitive power control that has no mechanical component. And although this particular model cannot be rotated 90 degrees, the size of the monitor makes this feature largely unnecessary, even when editing manuscripts.
Considering the performance, the price, and the styling, I can easily recommend this monitor to most typical users. 』

(Great Monitor, Highly Recommened) 『I bought this monitor in the last week and own a few other LCD's around the house even very expensive top end sony bravia xbr's. I have to say this is up there with my new favorite LCD's in the house.
Looks: The housing (screen bezel) on this monitor is stunning in design. It looks like a clear thick candy coating of plastic was formed around the monitors frame. You can see the light refract around the edges of the thicker clear plastic and it looks really eye catching. Considering buying another this week and using them in a dual monitor setup. Even though this is a touch of color (red) in normal lighting conditions you dont even see much of the red (only at the bottom), normally it looks almost pure black at the core of the clear coating. However, if you shine a flashlight or very bright light on the montitor's frame you can see its all dark red and not black. I wasnt sure I was going to like this whole touch of color thing but now that I own it I have no objections. The rear of the monitor looks as good as the front. You could easily have this on a desk where people could see the back and it would still look sharp. The back is rounded slightly and has a big Samsung logo on it. Also the connection ports have a plastic cover to hide the works so it maintains a sleek look even with wires going in.
Function: I am a graphic artist and avid PC gamer and so far I am loving this monitor. The Magicbright and MagicColor features really help to simplify and amaze you with color/contrast management. I have the colors looking spot on now when I do my graphic editing. As an artist I can tell you I am totally happy with the look. As a gamer I am very happy as well. I have noticed that I get screen tearing a lot more noticable on this monitor then others I have owned. I am not sure why. However, turning on a games vsync function helps remedy that problem. Some games lack vsync option and for those games moving the screen around at extremely fast rate or patterns moving very fast will cause screen tearing. Outside of that everything else is flawless. Since screen tearing can be fixed with vsync I dont knock the monitor for this. I will note that the 5ms time seems to be fine for my games. I get no ghosting at high speeds at all things look great. 1920x1200 resolution on Crysis with high settings is a thing of beauty! :)
