IPhone 3G used's review (Stay Away!!!!) 『This is a terrible printer. I have had nothing but trouble with it since the install(which was easy. The print quality is marginal, the paper jams every day! I have tried 6 different paper types all the same result. The toner over spray or what ever the canister is under the front panel that is supposed to catch it leaks. The thing is noisy and poor quality. SATAY AWAY! I have an HP 4700 that is expensive but amazing, a Lexmark(noisy but great) and slew of B&W various models. NO other unit has caused so much trouble.』

(Please don't stop making toner cartridges) 『I bought my clp-510 color laser printer more than two years ago. I've used it a ton and it's never jammed or done anything wrong. It just sits there and prints ream after ream of really nice color copy, two sided, brochure fold, whatever and I've never even had to replace an original cartridge (they're huge, part of why it's so big and heavy). I'm thinking I should buy a set of replacement toner cartridges because I'm fearful they'll stop making them. You know how it is, if something works this well and shows signs of longevity, they'll quit supporting it so you have to buy something new that better fits their planned obsolesence model. I hate when they do that.』

Cons: takes a while to start printing, the labels I tried to print on did not feed (they were laser approved labels, but too thick), takes up a lot of desk space.

The biggest complaint I have is that the software isn't Mac OS X compatible, so I end up having to use Virtual PC just to run the scanning software. Not to mention that the scanning software doesn't output to PDF.
Beyond those issues, the IS12 is a nice device which works very well and allows me to scan legal size documents, which my flat bed scanner at home will not. Highly recommended!』

(Puts other 'portable' scanners to shame) 『I've seen several other companies try to produce portable printers or scanners and they have all fallen short of the Canon BJC-55/85. One main reason is this little device that allows you to carry both at once! The software is extremely easy to use. In part because there are no settings to change; you can only ever scan at 300 dpi (most flatbeds have much higher resolution, thus my rating of 4 stars).
However, the image is crisp, color is good, and the unit snaps in very easily. I only wish they included a hard case like the one for the ink cartridge which came with the printer instead of a flimsy plastic "storage" bag. It is so tiny, this is probably the only scanner you'll ever worry about losing :)』
