(Clear, comprehensive, invaluable)
『The introduction was short, concise, and inspiring--the way intros should be. No babbling. The asanas are performed by excellent yogis and show exactly what you need--1,2,3 of the pose, and a little "Information" table that lays out GAZE, BUILD UP POSES (asanas that you can practice if the particular asana is too difficult for your level), COUNTER POSES, LIGHTEN (modifications), and EFFECT (for example, calming; invigorating, releasing, centering, etc.) The pose is titled in English, then Sanskrit if you want to know learn THAT. I liked the size, and initially I thought, Oh I wish it was bound differently, but when I was practicing, I noticed it fit right in my hand and was very handy indeed. The book is layed out in Standing Postures, Seated and Floor Postures, Twists and Abdominal Toners, Arm Balances, Backbends, Inversions, and Relaxation, to name most. I have nothing negative to report. An excellent book, although if you're heavy into theory, get a supplemental book.』

(Great yoga tool)
『Great informational guide to the practice of yoga. Pose descriptions offer a variety of variations and proper technique for each level of practice.』

(Great teaching tool for beginners)
『I always recommend this book to my beginning yoga students as it gives a good deal of the basic yoga asanas. Great for learning and practicing asanas.』

(a good resource)
『this is a nice resource of yoga poses to use when sequencing a class. As a yoga instructor, I use it regularly.』

(Yoga Bible helpful to this beginner.)
『I have recently decided to make yoga my only workout. I do not have time to lift and do yoga and was tired of pulling muscles. I have learned from other yoga books that it is possible to get a great workout and even increase strength, using yoga. I really like being able to do a workout every day as well.

I have yoga books with different routines and one of Rodney Yee's books was helpful with prop suggestions. I am incredibly tight in my lower body and until I started doing yoga didn't realize in my upper body as well.

I find the build-up postures in yoga bible to be very helpful and encouraging. You don't need props!

I never thought I would be able to do any balancing pose, because I do not have full control over the left side of my body due to a serious car accident in high school. (Don't toke and drive, kids!)

I tried doing balancing postures leaning against a wall, but still could not maintain balance on my left leg with my right leg curled against my left thigh. When I read the suggestions in yoga bible to put the ball of the foot or the toes of the non-supporting foot on the floor instead of lifting that leg completely off the ground, I tried it and was actually able to stay in a balancing posture for about 30 seconds. It might not seem like much of an accomplishment, but it was for me.

I was getting much benefit from doing the poses I could do without doing the balancing postures, but I would never have tried the balancing postures unless I read the easy, common-sense suggestions in yoga bible because I'm much too much of a dumba$$ to figure things like that out.

Finally, the reviews which complain about the sturdiness of the book and binding may have led to change because the binding on my book seems sturdy.』

『Featuring over 150 yogic postures from the main schools of yoga, including Iyengar and Astanga Vinyasa, this guide provides a comprehensive illustrated step-by-step book to achieving the postures and advice on altering them where necessary with easier postures highlighted for beginners. The book also includes more advanced positions for experienced yogists, which will inspired them in developing their practice.

In addition to postures, the book includes notes on various types of yoga practices as well as a summary of well-known traditional schools of yoga and how they vary. Also inside is advice from the author on breathing techniques and the benefits of yoga in healing, pregnancy, de-stressing and meditation.

Christina Brown qualified as a yoga instructor at the Sivananda Ashram in southern India in 1995. She has also trained in Iyengar Yoga at the Sydney Yoga Centre and in Deradun, India and in yoga therapy at the Yoga Therapy Centre in London. She currently teaches yoga in Sydney, Australia and holds a degree in complementary medicine from the Natural Care College in Sydney. She lives in Sydney, Australia.』

(Best book on physical-yoga available in English)
『This is IMHO the best book on physical-yoga available in English

Let me start by saying that I own hundreds of books on yoga. About half of these are on Tibetan yoga and about half are on the yoga of the Natha-Sampradaya or its modern derivatives (like Hatha-yoga and Kundalini practices). This book is simply the most interesting treatment of asanas (or "yantras" which are movements often containing asanas) and related pranayamas available, whether we are talking about Indian or Tibetan yoga.

This book covers a system of yoga originally recorded in writing in the 8th CE in a cycle of teachings by the Tibetan translator Vairochana. This cycle contains three works, one of which is fully translated (and commented upon at length) and another on the "elimination of obstacles" is quoted from extensively. The third work on tummo practice is not dealt with at all in this text.

I have only rarely seen such a comprehensive treatment of physical yoga. The text starts with a treatment of the preliminaries (sngon `gro) including two forms of pranayama and eighteen yantras for basic "body training" (lus sbyong). The yantras are yogic movements, many of which include the asanas familiar in Hatha-yoga.

This is followed by the main practices (dngos gzhi), which include five main series of techniques. Each of these five cycles has a method of pranayama, five basic yantras (dngos gzhi) and two variations of these yantras for training (rtsal `don) and progressing (bogs `don).

Thus there are five main pranayamas and seventy-five main yantras. These are followed by seven movements utilizing the lotus posture and a concluding section (rje kyi rim pa) with a method for clearing obstacles called the "vajra-wave".

So the text covers a total of 108 methods. The illustrations and descriptions of the yantras are very detailed, as are the explanations of the methods and rhythms of breathing while doing each yantra. Another important aspect is a detailed traditional description of the benefits of these yantras/asanas.

The pranayama is very advanced and I was astonished to find such methods described so plainly and in such detail. The methods for causing the prana to enter the central-channel (which have long been carefully guarded secrets) are explained in an unexpectedly thorough manner and the texts has a wealth of practical information, such as the progressive timetable for lengthening the practice of kumbhaka. The book has also answered a host of obscure questions that I have wondered about, such as if there is a relationship between madhyama, vama, and dakshina "nauli" and the three main nadis of the body.

From a historical perspective, the root-text (which is older than any of the extant texts on Hatha-yoga) is probably the most interesting document on physical yoga ever published. Many of the yantras are extremely similar to the asanas of Hatha-yoga in both name and appearance.

This illustrates that the yoga methods preserved in Tibet and the methods of the Hatha-yoga tradition (of the Nathas) were once deeply connected. This is particularly true of the abhyantaravarga of ati-yoga (especially the rdo rje zam pa) and the sampannakrama of anuttara-yoga-tantra (especially of Heruka Bhagavan Shri mngon rdzogs rgyal po). The lists of "great adepts" or mahasiddhas preserved in both the Tibetan and Indian traditions reinforce this connection. Many of the same adepts appear in the lineages of both traditions

This is now the most valued text in my collection, and I am deeply grateful to Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche and the translators for making it available to students in the West.

RC Parker』

『Yantra Yoga, a Tibetan Buddhist system of movement and breathing exercises, bring the body/mind into balance and help achieve authentic relaxation--a preliminary to any meditative practice. Profusely illustrated with hundreds of line drawings, black and white photographs, and illustrations, Yantra Yoga presents Tibet's trulkhor yoga tradition as taught by one of its master exponents, Chogyal Namkhai Norbu. Yantra Yoga's movements, exercises, and methods of concentration are all based on eighth-century text whose translation is included, illuminated by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu's commentary. Detailed charts for the timing of the breathing exercises are also included.』

(Daily Inspirational Thoughts)
『I have this book on my desk at work. As my staff comes into my office, I make it a practice to read the daily words of inspiration. It creates a positive atmosphere in my working environment.』

(A great reminder on what Yoga is all about!)
『Yoga is so much more than just Asanas. And this book reminds you of that. Another great book by Judith. A must have for those gentle reminders. This book is also great for those of you teaching yoga. Share these great little clips with your class.』

(A nice daily dose of yogic teachings in a small package)
『This small hardback book falls under the category of "calendar book" and is also what I term a "bathroom book."

You don't sit down and read this like a novel - what you get are tiny, thoughtful blurbs, one for each date of they year, about bringing yoga into all areas of your life.

Sometimes the book is a bit too simple with nuggets like: You need a red pair of shoes! Drive the speed limit! Or, chocolate is sacred and you deserve to eat some!

And there are a lot of family-oriented homilies such as reminders to model behavior for your grandchildren. This is a wasted day if you don't have children, much less grandkids! But in the days where something does not apply to me I try to mentally replace the words, as in, "model behavior for your nieces," or just flip around to find a blurb that speaks to me instead of the one slotted for that particular date.

The VAST majority of the daily aphorisms (teachings) are quite thoughtful, providing good spiritual reminders towards bringing your yoga practice into your daily existence. Sometimes I resist these little "daily dose" type books as simplistic and honey, but this one is worthwhile.

For example, September 23 reminds us the nature of the mind is to be agitated. The author gently reminds us in an aphorism about meditation that this is to be expected, and that's it's better to *be* with your mental agitation than to try to control or eliminate it. June 29th just recently reminded me to love people in spite of themselves, in spite of myself (a very useful daily mantra when seeking peace in all kinds of frustrating interactions).

One can use this book also as an adjunct to writing in a personal yoga journal. If I wasn't lazy about journaling, I think I'd find that pretty useful. :)

More uses: this would be a very nice gift book for anyone exploring yoga. It would make a good by the bedside kind of book, for people to meditate on these ideas upon arising or before sleep. Or take the book along on any mass transit commutes, to read and think when traveling.

As for myself, I keep it in the bathroom, so I may mull over my relationship with the teachings as I sit on the throne. :)』

(inspirational)
『I love this book! it's tiny, so you can fit it in your yoga bag, and has an inspirational way to live your yoga everyday. It came in great condition, and pretty quickly.』

(Inspiring)
『I really enjoyed this nice little book. It helped me to start my day in a great way.』
Judith Hanson Lasater has been teaching an annual yoga retreat at Feathered Pipe Ranch, in Helena, Montana, for 28 years. When she learned that one of her students was collecting Lasater’s thoughts — which she called “Judith’s aphorisms” — Lasater decided to collect them in this book. Featuring one thought for each day of the year, along with a suggested practice, these brief, powerful insights reflect the author’s knowledge of classic yoga philosophy and years of experience. Humorous, inspiring, and surprisingly down-to-earth, they guide seekers both on and off the yoga mat. These aphorisms address love, asana, fear, trust, expectations, pranayama, suffering, laughter, presence, the Yoga Sutra, and much more. They emphasize the experience of being present to one's self and to life’s ups and downs — day by day, breath by breath, moment by moment.A Year of Living Your Yogais a gentle invitation to readers to know themselves on a deeper level.

(Fantastic introduction to Yoga!)
『This is the perfect book for a beginner wanting to start yoga on their own. I've looked at quite a few yoga books, and even own a few others, and I've never seen one that leads the complete beginner into yoga as well as this one. The Basic Yoga Workout for Dummies DVD is excellent too and I highly recommend it. I have not yet seen the second DVD from this series but I'd bet is great too and I plan to get it soon. Of course it's probably best to get instruction from a teacher in person, but if you can't or don't want to do that right now, this series is probably the next best thing.』

(Very very good for starting and for learning how to build a safe practice)
『The authors tried to be neutral besides theirs styles of Yoga. They describe how to initiate in this and what to expert in teacher and a school of Yoga. Teaches how to build a practice yourself. How to do the asanas, some pranayama and meditation. They teach a soft Yoga that is perfect for first time yoguis, but if you are advanced you may apply the principles they teach to your practice, if you don't do that yet! If you are new in this you have the all in this book. If not, you may think that the advanced asanas and the final form of some asanas are not there. But then you need to remember the book's tittle. In this last case you also can learn that in asana practice the function is more important that the form! So I think that more than just showing the asanas' picture the bok teachs you how to use it!』

(Another great book)
『I totally get the concept thanks to this kind of book. There are plenty of books out there that help you get started. This is one of the best. I need/want books that open my mind to a new kind of experience---It met my expectations』

(Too much New age, not enough stretching.)
『A few years ago, I was in a Yoga class, but after moving to a new state, I lost the thread of regular exercise. I picked this book because I like Yoga, but I don't remember the proper stances and wanted a basic book for getting started.

What I didn't want was a dissertation on breathing, and why I have to eliminate stress from my life, and how many different forms of Yoga there are (you're only going to be teaching stances for one type of Yoga, so how about we dispense with the history and get on to the exercise?)

This book was choked with new-age mysticism and positive thinking pap. As I read it, I could feel the author trying to rein in his "crystals and incense" rhetoric so that he didn't lose people like me. At one point, I just started flipping through the pages, hoping to find a picture of a person that might mark the beginning of actual information. You know what I found? A picture of a person lying down, and a description of how to rest properly.

I don't mean to sound unkind, but I know how to lie down. I've been doing it for most of my life. I'm well practiced in that. I follow a religious regimen of lying down at least once every night, and I don't remember ever getting it wrong. Can we get to the freaking exercise!』

(underwhelmed)
『I ordered what I thought was a full size intro to yoga book and got the pee wee version for elves. I had been breathlessly waiting for my full size edition to arrive in the mail because I was so excited to be starting yoga. As I held the pitifully small thing in my hand I got so depressed because it reminded me of some bad relationships i've had in the past--big promises and nothing to back it up with. I binged on a quart of dulce de leche ice cream and a dozen black bottom cupcakes to try to numb my pain. These evil satanic deceivers must be stopped.』
『Yoga is not a fad. It has been around in the United States for over a hundred years and has a history of approximately five millennia. It is clearly here to stay. Yoga has brought health and peace of mind to millions of people. It can do the same for you.

The benefits of Yoga are many. When adopted as a lifestyle, Yoga extends over the entire day. Find out how this can be done and why Yoga is so often loved by people who are

  • Interested in becoming more fit and flexible
  • Looking for stress relief
  • Seeking to live a more peaceful and joyful life

Yoga For Dummiesguides you slowly, step by step, into the treasure house of Yoga. And it is a fabulous treasure house! You will find out how to unlock your body's extraordinary potential and enlist your mind to do so, and in the process strengthen your mind as well. This book covers the following topics and more:

  • Five basic approaches to Yoga
  • Selecting a Yoga class
  • Practicing Yoga safely
  • The mechanics of Yogic breathing
  • Classic foundational postures
  • Exercises to target problem areas
  • Putting together your personal routine
  • Yoga for special situations

The focus on this book is on Hatha (pronouncedhaht-ha) Yoga, which is that branch of Yoga that works primarily with the body through postures, breathing exercises, and other similar techniques. When necessary, the book provides helpful photos or illustrations to help you better understand the exercises or postures.

One author (Georg Feuerstein) is internationally recognized as a leading expert on the Yoga tradition and has authored many seminal works on it. The other author (Larry Payne) has a thriving practice as a Yoga teacher in Los Angeles, where he teaches and responds to his clients' specific health challenges. In this book, their combined 55 years of experience have merged to create a reliable and user-friendly introductory book that can also serve you as a beginner's reference work on an ongoing basis.』
Yoga for Dummiesproves that this 5,000-year-old Indian disciplinecanbe all things to all people--the athlete striving for more-limber limbs, the stressed-out professional needing mental calm, peace, and clarity; the pregnant mom-to-be looking to keep herself toned and her emotions balanced, the spiritual seeker wanting to access the higher planes of consciousness.

Georg Feuerstein, Ph.D., and Larry Payne, Ph.D., are internationally recognized yoga experts. After explaining how to prepare your body and mind for yoga--including warnings about how to practice safely--they jump straight into the postures (asanas), instructions for which make up the meat of book (relaxation, breathing, movement, sequencing, compensation, sitting). Feuerstein and Payne carefully and in great detail lead the reader through every step, although they do advise first-timers to supplement the book with actual classes until they have the basics down. Throughout the book, clear explanations accompany black-and-white photos and drawings. (Unfortunately, following the written instructions is hard enough when your feet are in the air or your head's down by your ankles, and the book would have been improved if the pictures always appeared on the same page as their instructions.)

Readers then learn about tailoring a yoga program to their needs; using props; practicing "Yoga Throughout the Day"; incorporating yoga into sex, meditation, menopause, and pregnancy; using yoga to treat back problems and PMS; and practicing yoga with kids. The book also covers yogic ethics, philosophy, and resources. It's not allasanasandpranas, though--Yoga for Dummiesis sprinkled with the humor characteristic of the For Dummies series (a section explaining that the ego is the ultimate source of stress is titled "Wherever ego, I go") and practical advice (the Forgiving Limbs maneuver allows you to bend your legs and arms a bit rather than try to fully extend them, so that you can perform postures you're not yet quite limber enough for). This is both an excellent beginner's guide and a good reference for more advancedyoginiswho want a brush-up course.--Stefanie Durbin

(AWSOME-Great for those of us who have difficulty relaxing.)
『Bought it last week. I must say I am very impressed with this DVD. I am one who has great difficulty in taking time for myself and relaxing. I have a lot of stress which has caused much heartache. My counselor has suggested I try meditation so I got this DVD. That night I used it and was very impressed with the instuctors smooth clear voice. It is a very guided meditation that concentrates on body and breathing. When ever my mind started to wander, it helped a great deal in helping me to concentrate on me and breath. I was able be concious but be in a deep relaxed state. It helped me to release thoughts and stressers in a concious manner yet I was able to remain in deep relaxed state. I felt it also brought clairty to things that were causing the stress.』

(Great Assist)
『On the recommendation of a friend I ordered and began immediately using this CD. There are a number of reasons why I have recommended this CD to all my friends. The primary reason is that though I am still a fairly new practitioner of this particular kriya I'm already seeing numerous positive effects including a pervasive calmness post-listening which continues on into the next day (I listen to the CD every evening all the way through and then go to sleep). In addition, while I used to have occasional unpleasant vivid dreams...so far, those have stopped completely. The voice that guides you through to the yoga nidra state is one I find soothing and pleasant to listen to. The practice of bringing attention to various points of the body also appears to be assisting me in my daily meditative practice as well as helping me during the day keep bringing attention back to any changes of mood or mental states.

I highly recommend others try this CD for themselves and see how the practice and entering into Yoga Nidra assists the practitioner.』

(Help Put Me To Sleep)
『As in everyone this is something that either touches you deeply or helps in other ways.』

(Great Meditation Experience)
『I'm saddened by the "1 star" review on this item. As someone who does a lot of meditation, and a variety of meditations, I enjoy this CD very much. Could I have done it myself? Yes, but that's true of almost every spoken meditation CD. But I didn't.

As someone who meditates frequently, I enjoy this audio CD because it has a variety of meditations, which I can mix up into various length "programs" of different lengths. It's not just the short version, the medium version, and the long version.

(Good for guided relaxation)
『As some other reviewers have complained, the voice rather drones, but that isn't the worst thing in the world: who needs an excited guide when looking to relax? Anyway, the guided, point by point relaxation is just what I was looking for, so I'm pretty happy with it. I can fathom better though (e.g. maybe have binaural beats going in the background or some such), so 4 is the best I give this.

『This meditation is an authentic rendering of Yoga Nidra as taught in the Himalayas by the masters of Yoga, Vedanta and Tantra. While it is an advanced meditation practice, anyone can start the practice while watching it deepen over time.

Yoga Nidra literally means "Yogic Sleep." In this deep meditation you train your attention to leave the chatter of the Waking state of mind, go past the fantasy of the Dreaming state, and consciously, intentionally enter the stillness of the Deep Sleep state, yet paradoxically remain awake and in deep meditation. For thousands of years the Yogis have used Yoga Nidra to master the art of sleep, to balance the subtle energies, and to experience greater depths of meditation.

The state of conscious Deep Sleep or Yoga Nidra is underneath, behind, or subtler than meditations at either the Waking or Dreaming levels. This subtle state is called "Prajna," which means "supreme knowing." "Pra" means "supreme," and "jna" means "knowing." The conscious experience of this state is a doorway to higher, formless knowing that has been called the infinite library of wisdom and the teacher within.

The depth of authentic Yoga Nidra comes from inner awareness of the levels of your own self, including your body, breath, and the subtler mind, rather than diverting attention through music or inner fantasies (as pleasant as these may be). This inner exploring through self-awareness is a more refined form of meditation that leads you deeper into the stillness and silence of your own being, while remaining fully awake and aware. The Yoga Nidra methods bring you to a place of awareness where you are able to completely let go of any words, thoughts, images, impressions, or pictures in the mind. You are guided to allow your mind to "empty, empty, empty" though you remain fully awake and clear of mind.

The practices on this CD will gently train your ability to direct your own attention, which is the primary skill in the art of meditation. You will find that you are gradually able to use these methods on your own, without the CD, and the benefits will be with you not only during your practice time, but also during the activities of daily life.

The voice will systematically guide you to explore your physical body, then move through 61 specific points within the body, and then practice ascending breath awareness along the body and spine. Your attention will be brought to the space between the eyebrows, then to the throat, and finally to the heart center, where you will go deep into stillness and silence, beyond the activities of the mind.

The Yoga Nidra CD has five tracks. The first track is an introduction (8:02 minutes), describing the state of Yoga Nidra and the practices on the CD. The next four tracks move through four sequential practices that are listened to together, so as to form a complete practice of 57:24 minutes (CD is 65:36 minutes in total). These four tracks can also be listened to individually, as complete practices unto themselves, which allows you to have the benefits of practice when less time is available.』

『Paul Grilley's book, Yin Yoga, is absolutely straightforward, simple, and effective. As a long-time practitioner of yoga, exercise, and instructor of movement, Paul struck a perfect balance between background and context on the one hand, and practical how-to on the other. I recommend this book wholeheartedly to anyone with a body and a mind, as adding the Yin-perspective into one's thoughts is a fundamental shift in being able to take care of one's body and life.』

(Perfect accompaniment for yoga class)
『My yoga teacher suggested Yin Yoga, and I'm glad she did. It gives us a written reference for many of the things we talk about and do in class. The author explains the chakras and yin and yang energies. He also gives photos and descriptions of many useful postures, along with some sample routines to try. It might be dangerous to try these postures without a teacher to make sure you're doing them right, but the book is a perfect supplement for my class.』

(Educational tool for Teachers&Yogis)
『Paul Grilley's book is easy to undertand and is formatted in a visually helpful way. Cuts right to the chase. No fluff. Helpful to teachers and to yogis who want to learn more about Yin Yoga.』
Yin Yoga: Outline of a Quiet Practicebrings together in a fresh way the ancient wisdom of acupuncture and Taoism with Hindu yoga practices. The Yin aspect of Yoga (using postures that stretch connective tissue) is virtually unknown but vital for a balanced approach to physical and mental health. Paul Grilley outlines how to practice postures in a Yin way. Grilley includes an explanation of Modern Meridian Theory, which states that the meridians of acupuncture theory are currents flowing through the connective tissues of the body.Yin Yogais specifically designed to address these tissues. For yoga practitioners looking for something beyond physical postures,Yin Yogaaddresses the deeper spiritual dimensions of yoga, with helpful sections on chakras, breathing exercises, and meditation.

(The Yoga Face)
『It is a good book with lots of exercises. I thought that there would be more face specific exercises, but there are many standard yoga positions throughout the book. My understanding of yoga is limited, so I thought that the whole book would be just the face. Many of the body exercises also exercise the face or get blood flow to the skin of the face. I rated it a three mostly because of my expectations. I think she really explains the reasons and hows of the positions and exercises.』

(Nice yoga book with emphasis on improving the face's appearance.)
『I bought this book for a friend (she selected it) and we both looked at it. It has fewer exercises specifically for the face than expected, but seems more sound for tying many other yoga positions to positive benefits for the face's muscles and condition in what appears to be a very competent manner. The author's (self described) credentials and experience with the program sound quite credible and good.

(Great face workout!)
『This is an easy to follow, quick routine for strengthening your facial muscles. I have done the routine several times a week for the past two weeks and can actually feel a difference.』

(Disappointing)
『For the last three or four years, I had been successfully using a facial exercise DVD and accompanying CD's to help me tone and tighten up my face. I read an article in Time Magazine about Yoga Face, where they made a reference to facercise, which I was presently using. I figured that Yoga Face would be an upgraded version of facercise and was willing to give it a try. I followed the exercises in Yoga Face religiously, but after three+ months, the results I had already achieved started to reverse. It was a real disappointment because I thought Yoga Face was an improvement in the facercise exercise program. I'm back to where I started so I'm going back to the original facercise exercise program, because that really did work.』

(Some good content)
『This book had some useful new facial exercises, but a large part of it was a review of basic asanas and paranyama. The new, useful content that pertained directly to facial health was a just a chapter.』
『To keep their faces looking younger, women today try everything from invasive procedures such as plastic surgery and Botox to expensive cosmeceuticals. The Yoga Faceis a new and completely natural alternative anti-aging regimen that women can do anytime and anywhere-and in just minutes. The exercises, developed by yoga expert and instructor Annelise Hagen, are based on a simple principle: The muscles of the face are no different from the muscles of the rest of the body. If you don't exercise the muscles below the neck, they become weak and flabby, and the same thing will happen to your face with age. Just as yoga routines work the muscles in the body, the stretches and movements inThe Yoga Facetighten and tone the face muscles-and combat wrinkles. "Working out" with fun facial exercises such as the Louis Armstrong "Satchmo," the Marilyn Monroe "kiss," and the "Lion Face," readers will notice changes quickly; and over time, the results are dramatic. Illustrated with more than seventy-five instructive photos throughout,The Yoga Faceoffers an easy, safe, and effective solution to help women turn back the clock and have beautiful, young-looking skin.』

(Every Yoga Teacher Should be Armed with this Book)
『These books should be a must for any yoga teacher/instructor. Soo much vaulable information!!!』

(Fantastic yoga reference)
『As a yoga instructor, I am interested in learning the "hows" and "whys" behind the poses I teach in my classes. This book -- volume II behind "The Key Muscles of Hatha Yoga" -- is beautifully and extraordinarily illustrated, and strikes a perfect balance between the scientific and the metaphysical aspects of yoga practice. Well worth the money, it is an essential addition to any instructor's ( or student's) yoga library.』

(vivid 3D images)
『This book is a very good picture book that helps people understand our own structure and movements. I hope they can publish sequels that focus on certain parts of the body with more illustrated details and poses that will affect specific areas. I showed this book to my P.T., she liked it and encouraged me to continue all my yoga exercises and research to understand my own body better.』

(Excellent Text and Illustrations)
『The book's design of using separate Theory and Practice sections has given me much more insight into how the mind and body work together when practicing Yoga. The author has turned an extremely detailed brain/anatomy lesson into something you really want to keep reading and explore further. The text combined with the illustrations in the Practice section help to tie it all together and get you towards the fullest extension of the pose while gaining knowledge of what is really working in your body at that time. Some mention and great illustration of the deep fibrous tissue are a plus. I would have liked more detail on that aspect but most books don't even address it. All around great guide, you will use it often.』
『This is the second volume in the "Scientific Keys" Series from Bandha Yoga. Featuring: - Biomechanics of Stretching - Physiology of Stretching - Muscle Awakening - Fifity five highly detailed yoga poses with muscles color coded for activation and stretching and much more... Over four hundred stunning full color illustrations of the science of yoga with detailed explanations. High quality spiral bound for ease of use.』
