『I used the M-51 Engineers Field Bag on my bike to carry light objects to cafes, stores, school, etc (books, pads, bike lights). I was riding on a path when the strap broke and the Bag fell into my chain/back wheel and it caused me to flip over my bicycle. Luckily I was not hurt but was amazed by what happened. The quality of the bag is cheap. After more inspection at home, I found what looked to be some note from a factory in Burma that said, "Rejected". Some people get decent Field Bags and others get Defective ones, which still can be sold even though they are rejected by the Military. My advice is Buy at your own RISK.』

『This has to be the worst thing I've bought in a long time. I don't know what engineers use this, but hopefully it's not our military! This thing would fall apart in days. It has single stitching, pockets that are sewn so that they are not even usable, pockets that are not properly sized, everywhere there is Velcro it is positioned in the wrong spot. The handle, strap, and clasp have to be the chintziest and cheapest things ever. It's like someone hired a bunch of kids to put together these things with the cheapest materials they could find!

If I could have gave this bag a zero I would have.

『This is a very good, very durable canvas bag with a classic look at a good price. I get comliments on it too. It has no water protection, so I gave it a really good Scotchguarding right away, and I use a black nylon strap from an old laptop bag which is a bit more comfortable. It fits my 15.4" laptop just barely, a 14.1" would fit much better. It protects well except on the bottom where a little padding would help.

The front side has all the pockets you need for pens, paper, phone, music player, cords etc. Is it possible for a bag to have too many pockets? Apparently so, because on the reverse side is a whole other compartment with a whole other set of pockets I can't even think of a use for. It zips open and sort of resembles a lap desk, I think it is for some sort of tool kit. I just put paper to be recycled in there and thing to be sorted. I think this would be a great bag for a computer tech.』
