IPhone 3G used's review (Depends on what you're looking for...) 『I exercise regularly and eat a pretty healthy diet (85% vegan with occasional dairy), I'm a 37-year-old mother, and I'm fighting the battle of the bulge. I got this because it was only a 30-minute workout, which is something I can squeeze into my schedule. This workout moves pretty fast and it took me a couple of times to get the actual moves. You have to have some aerobic experience to pick up on the routine and the form. There are moderate levels of intensity, which the instructor demonstrates and you can follow other exercisers behind her. I never really got to mastering the video because I sort of gave up, opting for simpler routines.
It depends on what you're looking for and what type of exercise you enjoy. If I don't enjoy it and look forward to it, I won't continue to do it. I struggled with this a little and I also felt it was too 'young' for me. I'm not looking for a 'hard-core' body. I just wanted some variety. I still pull this out once or twice a month for a change in my routine.
I was sore after each time I did this. I got the 4-pound ball and found it challenging enough for me. It was great for getting my heart rate up, and I still use the ball in other routines. I really felt muscle soreness in my thighs and shoulders, and it was strenuous on my back, but you can avoid back strain if you maintain proper spinal alingment (with the butt tucked and squeezed.)
I gave this a 3 only because it isn't a workout that I look forward to doing and, to be honest, it's difficult in that it's probably geard toward someone at a higher fitness level than me, or perhaps someone used to going to aerobic classes. My primary exercise all summer was walking/jogging with a jogging stroller at intervals, about 3 to 5 miles a day 5 days a week. The workout in and of itself would probably be a great workout if you're looking for an advanced workout at a higher intensity. It probably isn't for a beginner.』
(Good quick workout!) 『This is a good workout for when you are crunched for time. It's not exactly for beginners. I consider myself to be in pretty good shape, and it still made me sore. I'll keep using this DVD for sure!』
(The Firm Sculpting Ball 6lb workout) 『I own the 6lb ball, and let me tell you-I've been working out with The Firm videos since 1996! And it just dawned on me that this is the ONLY ball workout ever made??? LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this workout!! It's EASY to follow, goes very SMOOTHLY, doesn't make you drastically weak-but for me as an advanced excerciser-this was challanging (next I'll have to get the 8lb one). The ball is really so much fun to use!!! It's rather VERY affective. And because I am known to love weights more than cardio-I could do this workout everyday!! Another thing I just love is that she uses the ball continuously-you don't ever put it down-in which I was glad because I felt 30 min is too short to not be able to use the ball. I didn't think you could use a 6lb ball for cardio-but it makes it so much fun! My ONLY complaint about this workout is that I wish there was so many more them and that the Firm can make more workouts using the 4, 6, or 8lb ball. I hope that's not the last one I see from them-LOVE this workout! If you watch the video-you may think, "ohh its so low impact"..but when you actually do it with the heavier poundage (6 or 8)-it is challanging-and I feel sore the next day!! yeah! A++++++++++++++++++++』
(just right) 『I actually now have 4, 6, and 8 pound sculpting balls. The 6 pound is just right for most workouts. Sometimes the 8 pound is a good challenge, but often it makes my technique not as good. The workout dvd the ball comes with is doable with the 8 pound ball if you are an intermediate to advanced exerciser. But there are better ball workouts available, like David Kirsch's Ultimate New York Body Plan, that the 6 pound ball works better for. Great Firm product for great price. Adds a fun dimension to exercising. Get one, you'll be looking for more workouts to do with it just like I am!』
(Love that it's quick, not so crazy about holding the ball for so long) 『Ok, here's the deal. I really like that it is only 30 minutes, so it is great to do with my 2 year old son next to me and also for days you don't have 45 minutes - an hour to devote to working out. I like the concept of using a ball and it is not your typical hand weight workout. It sounded interesting so I gave it a try. It is ok, I will say that. For me, it gets really old holding the ball. I got the medium weighted one, the 6 pounder. It just feels very awkward and heavy holding the ball in my hands for that long. There are hardly any breaks when you are NOT holding it, so it really gets annoying. Maybe it would be fine for people with bigger hands that can get a good grip on the ball, but not me.
I still do this tape, mind you. It is not so bad that I refuse to do the tape. I still love that it is 30 minutes and you do feel it in your arms for sure. If you don't mind dealing with a tiny bit of awkwardness by the end, no problem! You may not even notice the hand thing as I do. It may feel completely fine.
I like the instructor and I like the other people in the tape, too, if that matters to anyone.』 『The Firm Sculpting Ball is a great add-on tool to enhance your regular exercise routine. The soft, pliable ball is easy to grip and a safe and simple alternative to clunky and unruly dumbbells. Plus you can build strength, tone your muscles, and shape your body without having to travel to a gym or investing in expensive weight training equipment. Each Sculpting Ball package comes with a thirty-minute video to get you started on your home workouts. Color-coded by weight, this pink ball weighs four pounds.
About The Firm It all began in 1979 when The Firm Studio opened in South Carolina. By combining cardio and weight training, The Firm recognized that people could burn fat, build muscle, and get the bodies they wanted safely, effectively, and quickly. This cardio-plus-body-sculpting fitness hybrid--called Synergy Training--formed the basis for The Firm method then and is still central to The Firm philosophy today. It didn't take long for fitness enthusiasts to catch on, and The Firm was off and running.
When The Firm decided to share their successful method with people who were unable to travel to the Studio, the at-home workout series was born. The Firm received glowing reviews and top professional awards from the very start. Since then, The Firm has sold more than ten million workouts. Today, The Firm mission is to continue researching and creating superior fitness techniques and products for reshaping and toning the body.

IPhone 3G used's review (A solid, slow-moving Pilates program) 『In this video, Suzanne Deason offers a very gentle, slow-moving Pilates workout. She begins with a 10 minute section called "Creating Awareness" which focuses on form and breath; it's a nice way to get used to the Pilates style. She then moves on to the workout and starts with stretches to warm up the feet and calves. Following this, she begins the classic Pilates matwork, starting with the traditional first exercise, The Hundred. She moves very slowly from exercise-to-exercise, and prior to each new move, she gives specific setup instructions. Suzanne herself performs the most challenging movements (Level 3), while two assistants show modified versions (Levels 1 and 2). The 45-minute workout ends with some final stretches.
Although both the slow-moving pace of this workout and the level of the exercises offered (more challenging Pilates movements are not included) would be appropriate for beginners, Suzanne does not offer detailed instruction on how to perform each move. As mentioned above, she does explain how to setup for the exercises, but she provides few guidelines on form, which is vital to the practice of Pilates. This video might work well for those who already have some familiarity with Pilates but want a gentle, relaxing workout. However, both absolute beginners and more intermediate/advanced Pilates practitioners will probably want to look elsewhere.』
(Building a foundation for fitness) 『I've had this workout for years on the shelf, and recently came to appreciate it again when recovering from an injury and surgery that had zapped my exercise program for several months and left me mushy-muscled, tense, and uncertain of how to build back a foundation for exercise.
The title is a clue that this is designed for heavier bodies who, even with a reasonable level of fitness, won't be able to safely do the more gravity-defying moves such as The Teaser which can pop up even in beginner workouts sometimes. It also has an emphasis on body awareness, with the first 10 or 15 minutes of the workout being devoted solely to minimal exercises that build body and breath awareness. This is important for anyone, but especially for those of us who are overweight and spend so much time at war with our bodies, ignoring or neglecting them; for the beginning exerciser; or for those recovering from injury or even emotional trauma. Suzanne Deason accomplishes this sensitively and thoroughly.
Next comes an approximately 35-minute workout that has many classic Pilates and some yoga-inspired moves. This portion starts with flexing and working your feet and ankles, a unique little bonus. Then you get into typical Pilates moves including The Hundred (using an eight count rather than ten), Roll-Up, Single-Leg and Double-Leg Stretch, Rolling Like a Ball, Criss-Cross, some modified Swan movements, Spine Twist and Saw, modified bridging, and side-lying leg work.
Here is where the workout builds up to a nice little burn for me. The side-lying leg work is more challenging than other versions I've done in beginners' workouts, and it's followed quickly by bicycling and a double-leg circle. This isn't an aerobic workout and it's not meant to be, but here I think Deason is pushing the aerobic endurance of a beginner or overweight person. It works for me! This is followed by a nice cool-down, using moves such as Side-Lying Stretch and a yoga-like relaxation pose to finish off.
All moves in the workout portion are demonstrated clearly by separate instructors simultaneously showing three different difficulty levels. There is thus no problem in both learning the moves and in modifying them to your fitness level. The backdrop is a lush Hawaiian field and seascape. There is the typical calming music and voice-over, something I don't particularly like but it's not distracting.
Overall this is a solid beginner workout that helps a person build or re-build both the mental and physical foundations of fitness.』
(Overweight and out of shape - this one was for me!) 『Excellent introduction to Pilates. Even though I was overweight and out of shape when I bought this DVD, the pace and difficulty level was perfect for me. I was still able to follow along. There are 3 levels. You can watch all three levels or only the single level you are interested in.
One of the best things about this DVD is that it encourages the mind-body connection. Not a quick fix.
There are 3 segments, Introduction, creating awareness and the workout. I find the creating awareness segment very relaxing. The video is filmed along the ocean beach and green pasture overlooking the ocean coast, a very beautiful setting with vivid colors and crisp photography. The instructor, Suzanne Deason has a very pleasant, calming voice.
Good beginners DVD. If you are new to Pilates, realize it is low impact and not active like aerobics. It has a calm pace but enlivening.

(Not Much of a Challenge) 『I bought this DVD because I have a yoga DVD (All Day Yoga for Beginners) with Suzanne Deason that I like. I'm haven't done much pilates and I'm definitely not an athelete but this workout (except for a few moves) was way too easy. Since it's a DVD for weight loss I was expecting to sweat or feel a burn in my muscles but I did this for an hour and afterwards I didn't feel like I had exercised at all. I've only done the workout twice because it just doesn't seem worth it. If you're looking for a good pilates routine that will challenge you, I'd recommend The Method pilates series.』 『Excellent DVD edition with three 45 minute workout routines which focus on muscular isolation and breath awareness. Designed for weight loss conditioning or maintaining a desired weight, pilates instructor Suzanne Deason demonstrates effective practice while promoting mind-body awareness. Also comes with a four-page weight management, exercise and nutrition guide. Additional on-screeen instruction provided. Total DVD length is 220 minutes, so you can have variety in your routines. 』 fetish『 Hugger Mugger Back Arch 』

IPhone 3G used's review (yoga pants) 『Very cute with a comfortable&stylish fold down waist. My daughters (18&20)loved them.』
(not a wet t-shirt contest) 『i'm sure that colors other than white are not a problem, but the material for these pants is not thick enough to conceal body hair or underwear of any color. it is t-shirt material. add sweat to these in white, and i believe the exposure would be complete.』
(Very comfortable) 『I really like these pants. They're comfortable and fit well, although a little long for me. I'm 5'4" and had to hem them, but I usually have to hem most pants. I just put in an order for a fourth pair. I use them for walking and also dressing comfortably on the weekends. They fit like leggings on the thigh but are looser from the knee down. This is more flattering for me, rather than being tight all the way to the bottom of my leg like leggings. I think this company is listening to the feedback. My first order took a while to arrive, but subsequent orders arrived very quickly. I found their service to be good.』
(Reconsider) 『Don't be mislead- these pants aren't long unless you are short. I am 5'9 and the pants did not even hit my ankles- although the small fit well otherwise on my 120lb frame. They are made out of t-shirt material- stretchy and comfy, but it's not very high quality for pants. They would work better if described as PJ pants. Also, do read the feedback from other customers about this company before using them- and don't expect to get your order terribly quickly. It was a hassle to get the item, and a hassle to return it. I would not recommend this company and I am not sure why Amazon still does business with them.』
(great pant) 『These pants have a great fit, very flattering. I wear a size 2-4 and the small fit perfect. They are a nice long length but not too long. I will order in other colors, especialy for the price you just can't beat it!』 『Featuring TQMs unique cotton spandex jersey. (Perfect yoga strap.) 『The Drishti Yoga Strap is just great! I've tried a lot of straps in my time practicing yoga. (Several different studios, borrowed friends', etc.) This one is excellent.
