(Bounce Let's Go) 『I hit the jackpot when I purchased this video. One of my grandchildren was diagnosed with autism and the other was not. One is 3yrs old with the diagnosis and his sister is 4years old. The music is catchy and alive. The lessons are remarkable. I bought several others with the same reception as this one. They love Elizabeth and all the children in the video. My three year old grandson loves to jump on the rebounder as he is listening to the video. I recommend this and all the Bounce video for children diagnosed with autism and other pre-schoolers and children into the first grade. Excellent work the music therapist is doing. It does help the children alot. Hope this company keeps producing these videos.』
(Greatest Series Out There for Toddlers) 『My child is not even on the spectrum, but the Bounce DVDs are a huge hit in our house. Elizabeth's songs are fantastic -- they don't drive you nuts like other kid-tunes. And the themes of all the DVDs teach coping skills and behaviors that can benefit ALL children. It is so nice to see a DVD like this that actually uses REAL kids rather than wall-to-wall cartoons and none of that strange, psychedelic animation that seems to be the trend. If your child is a late talker, or just shy, or just likes great music to jump around to, then the Bounce DVDs are the best that money can buy. How many ways can I praise this series? (Bounce Routines !) 『My daughter loves the Bounce DVDs and CDs. We find they are enjoyable,fun to watch. Elizabeth begins by telling how to know when the end has arrives,that is so helpful when doing any activity. She has a great goodnight song. We play the CD at bedtime and it has really helped our daughter settle in quicker and sleep better ( less night waking).』
(Great, great DVD!) 『We fell in love with the Bounce songs and Elizabeth after seeing them on PBS Sprout. I got the Routines DVD and can't say enough about it. Bounce is like a music class based around a theme. Elizabeth is the teacher and she has kids in her class. There's songs about routines, like a song about what you do in the morning and cleaning up. There's also a wonderful song about safety which is fun and wonderful and we all sing it when crossing the street. Also a song about called the Good Night song about how to fall asleep - and it works! In the show, you see ELizabeth and the kids in the classroom and when they start singing a song we see the lyrics being acted out. There's also fun things after each song, like quizzes that my kids go nuts over. THe best thing about Bounce is that it's educational but it's just as entertaining. And the songs are REALLY excellent. One of the best things is that the dvd came with a CD also with all the songs from the show on it and we play it everywhere. An extra bonus for me is that both my girls (2 and a half and five years old) LOVE Bounce and they can share it together. I am so glad that I found Bounce. We also have the LET'S GO dvd which is just as great as the Routines show (the going to the doctor song is priceless. I am getting the other ones too that I just found. By the way - Elizabeth is a music therapist and this DVD is for all kids on all levels. I was pleasantly surprised at the professional level of acting, the beautiful Arizona settings and all over digital picture quality. I was most impressed by the acting of Jake McDaniel who plays the evil non-blinking villian 'Herb'. Jake embraces the villian's evil personna through brute strength without so much as batting an eye. He makes a convincing, frightening menace. I would recommend this feature as it was exciting, entertaining, well written and well acted, a pleasure to all who saw it with me, we all throughly enjoyed The Decoy.』

(2 great movies for the price of 1) 『If you are a fan of Quentin Tarantino this is a must own. I waited to purchase these films until the much anticipated Whole Bloody Affair was to come out. I realized that I might be waiting for something that will never arrive. Plus, Disney has always handled the Blu-Ray conversion extremely well, and this is absolutely no exception. The color is bright and sharp and the sound is fantastic. If you truly are waiting for the Whole Bloody Affair, good for you. If you are thinking you can't wait, this will hold you over nicely.』
(Not a Great Release, by Blu Standards) 『I want to make it VERY clear, the three stars are not for the movies. Kill Bill, in my view, is one of the best movies ever made but this evaluation is for THIS Kill Bill 1&2 bundle on Blu-ray.
I am totally sold on Blu and, when the Kill Bill bundle became available... well... I ordered it when Amazon offered it at a great discount. I wish I had a lot to say about the Blu-ray version but I don't so, let me say what is worth saying:
- The 'bundle' is really the Vol. 1 and the Vol. 2 boxes. They are 2 separate boxes and the only thing that makes them a 'bundle' is their being sold together. - The contents of the Blu-ray version are EXACTLY those of the DVD edition, nothing more, nothing less. - Even the artwork is borrowed from the original DVD edition. - The 'extras' are shot in low resolution, in fact they are the exact extras you will find on the DVD. - The resolution of the movie is, of course, higher than the DVD's and the audio is available as 'uncompressed' but nothing special was done for the Blu issue. I noticed quite a few artifacts and some graininess but, overall, the picture quality is good. It could have been a lot better. I expect a remastered edition in the near future.
Overall, I am not very happy with this edition which appears to have been put together on the cheap and in a hurry. I suspect that the digital master used to make the DVDs was quickly converted to Blu and thrown out on the market but I could be wrong.
I am looking forward to a complete and professionally done Tarantino filmography on Blu in the near future, meaning that I'd be buying the Kill Bills three times.
On deciding whether to buy this release or not it should be up to one's budget. Those who don't have the DVD edition but have a Blu player, definitely buy the Blu, preferably this bundle because one never knows when a superior version may be released. If you already have the DVD... like I said, I bought my KB 1&2 package when Amazon offered it at a very significant discount.』

These are also worthwhile having in your collection, because (for me) Tartino's movies usually become better when watching a second or third time. Pulp Fiction was one like that for me - I thought it was okay when I initially saw it, but subsequent viewings made me apprciate it more. The same thing occurred with the Kill Bill movies for me. I preferred 2 more than 1 when I initially had seen them, but then began to enjoy 1 more than I had before.

(A Good Action Anime) 『This anime caught my eye since my friend and I are always on the lookout for good anime thats not too goofy or primarily T&A.
I do agree with other reviews that it lacked story, but we were basically just looking for a good action movie. The lead character was very enjoyable in that he didn't screw around. In many movies you get characters that do stupid stuff and you're left staring at the screen going,"Come on! Just shoot him!" And Munsu delivers big time.
But the lack of back story and overall development of many characters did leave me wanting more. What story is there is pretty straight forward and isn't as confusing or mystifying as many other animes.
So if you just want a good action anime I highly recommend this, good action combined with beautiful animation.』
(Rated M for "Manhwa" and mostly "Meh") 『My wife actually got this, and didn't know it was actually based on a Korean comic. Not that there's anything wrong with manhwa, we're just not familiar with it. In any event, we went into this with an open mind, particularly because this was a joint Korean-Japan production and the story and art looked really good.
I won't go into a summary of the anime, but I will say that the story lacked...well, a story. The origins of the "amen osa" are briefly covered in an introduction and that's it. No other back story is given and this DVD comes across as two episodes of a greater series, even though it isn't. Character names are dropped, but the story behind the name is never visited or even resolved. Characters are who they are just because they are. No explanation is given for most anything.
Don't get me wrong, though, the characters are interesting enough that I would like to see more of this world. However, as far as I know, this was a one-shot deal, so it's a little disappointing.
Moving on to the animation, the artwork is top-notch. It blends computer and hand-drawn animation beautifully, and the fight scenes are great. The computer rendering of Munsu's (the main character) phantoms are especially nice. I was very pleased with the look of this anime, as is to be expected for a theatrical release.
With that said, though, I think most people will be left wanting more or just being confused with the lack of story.
For those looking to buy this for kids, I don't recommended it for anyone 16 or under. Being a latecomer to HIMYM fandom, the coming of Season 3 on DVD was very exciting for me; I'd been finished with the first 2 seasons for months by the time it arrived! I think the show holds up well, overall, with the aforementioned "Slapsgiving" episode providing more laugh-out-loud moments for my husband and I than anything else in recent memory. The reappearance of Robin Sparkles, the follow-up/lingering question mark of the Ted's-30th-birthday-goat-in-the-bathroom story, and of course the oft-lauded 2-minute date sequence are season highlights. My only great disappointment was not feeling like we, the audience, got to know Stella enough to fall in love with her the way Ted did.』

The basic setup is familiar stuff: Five charming, good-looking twentysomethings pal around New York City seeking love and happiness. But many episodes have a narrative trick. For example, when his friends try to persuade Ted (Josh Radnor) from going on a date with the doctor removing the butterfly tattoo he got while drunk, their justifications send the show careening back and forth among three interconnected flashbacks. Other episodes repeat scenes from different perspectives, or leap forward, or interrupt scenes to provide necessary exposition. None of this is groundbreaking, but it is consistently smart and clever--and when combined with crisp comic dialogue and zippy performances, it's pure sitcom delight. This is a show that manages to make a gang's in-jokes actually funny.Season Threeis absolutely essential for any fan of the show, because this is the season we actually meet the title character; after two years of preamble, the mother to Ted's unnamed kids finally appears! In the DVD I bought, I had widescreen, dialog in English and Japanese and two disks. One for the regular film and the other was the entire soundtrack with story boarded pictures. I found the dialog in English beautiful and well done. The picture and the care the film had in transferring it over into DVD was marvelous. A man and his two daughters move to the country in a new house while the mother is hospitalized. They meet two very nice neighbors but the girls become attached to forest spirits who seem to take care of them when their parents are unavailable. Beautiful moving story with lots of hope.』
(What the hell disney?) 『This was my favorite movie of all time when i was a little kid. Since those Disney has taken the movie and completely screwed it by re-doing the voices. If you're a true fan of the original, then do not buy this movie. It is the disney version. And if you know where i can get the original (non-disney) version i would appreciate it if you let me know.』
(My favorite film) 『I first saw this film in 2004. I'm a voice-actor and was going to be voicing an anime series. I asked around to see what the best films and series were and, of course, Myiaskai's films were highly recommended. I instantly fell in love with this film and it started me on the journey of seeing all of the films produced by Studio Gibli. I now have a 2 year old son and bought it to share with him, although I fell in love with it as an adult. It is my favorite film of any genre (not just children's). Give it a watch, then start your own Myisaki collection!』
(a wonderful first movie) 『For any parent who is concerned about the content of the movies and TV they allow their young children to watch, this movie is terrific. In addition to being gorgeously animated, it also replaces what is so objectionable about so many videos for young children with the following:
- family members who clearly really love each other, including sisters who occasionally bicker but without malice or bitterness - sensitive handling of a sick and possibly dying mother -- older children will "get it", younger children won't even notice this scary plot point and can enjoy the rest of the movie - scenes that are thrilling (a ride through the sky!) or tense (phone call from the hospital) without ever being scary - absolutely NO sexualization of children (unlike Disney films and all their small waisted big boobed heroines) - no bad guys - not sappy sweet or mind numbing to parents like Barney or The Wiggles
I don't care about the dubbing issues or Disney v. Fox...all three of my children (now long outgrown this movie) LOVED this, and I think I've seen it 500 times. 』
(this is a review for the FULLSCREEN version) 『It looks like fullscreen/widescreen (disney) versions of this movie are on the same page. Neither has Japanese subtitles - both are dubbed. I caught the older, non-Disney one which is pan and scan, and found the dubbing adequate. (Some users here seem pretty unhappy about the Disney one, which I cannot comment on.) My boyfriend threatened to walk away if he was forced to watch a pan-and-scan version (if you are going to rent it, since it doesn't seem to be for sale anymore), but he did watch it and seemed to enjoy the movie anyway with no significant or obvious disadvantages.
The movie itself is great for people of all ages, but if you are thinking of showing it to a child, it helps to know if your child likes watching slightly more introspective, atmospheric movies that _don't_ crack a joke-a-minute with famous names and product tie-ins. Some kids might find this boring, but I'm sure loners and kids with bright imaginations will take to it and see the possibilities for their own creativity and wonder.
basic, basic plot: two sisters (one is about 11, the other 5) move with their father to the Japanese countryside in the 1950s to be nearer their hospitalized mother. The nearby forest contains "totoros," who are super adorable fluffy cat-owl creatures that protect the forest.
Unlike many cartoon children, Satsuki and Mei are neither smart-alecky nor cloyingly saccharine. They are credible kids: bright, energetic, silly, helpful, and occasionally impatient. Filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki makes the viewer believe the two sisters love each other in a way no American feature has ever achieved.My Neighbor Totorois enormously popular in Japan, and some of the character merchandise has begun to appear in America. The film has also inspired a Japanese environmental group to buy a Totoro Forest preserve in the Saitama Prefecture, where Miyazaki's film is set.--Charles Solomon』
