(Bond Reborn Better Than Ever)
『For the original series of James Bond films, Sean Connery defined the part quite effectively. Since Connery other actors such as George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan have attempted to portray this persona with the same elan with varying degrees of success. In my opinion none have measured up to Connery in the qualities of an international British agent with unsurpassed physical skills, sophistication and attraction for women. None until now. Daniel Craig makes one heck of a Bond! He fits this role equally well. Thus this movie is quite successful. The locations-Italy, Montenegro, the Bahamas- are fantastic with wonderful photography. Some exotic, mind-dizzying technology is used but not too much. There are some exciting action scenes such as in Miami and particularly around the casino at Montenegro. Eva Green plays Vesper and provides some excellent verbal jousting with Craig such as on a train in Europe. Vesper also becomes the name of a drink (6 parts Gordon's Gin, 2 of vodka, one of Kina Lilet all shaken until cool). Overall this is a wonderful movie. The Griffon Trilogy』

(Double Dipping Bond)
『I've been a 007 fan ever since DR. NO premiered as the bottom half of a double drive-in bill in Kansas City. I loved Connery; thought Lazenby's OHMSSS the best of the Bond bunch; suffered through the Moore era; loathed
Dalton's petrified agent; tolerated Brosnan's glossy but empty 007 - and woke up during the last two minutes of CASINO ROYALE to hail Daniel Craig as THE new Bond on the block. Naturally I snatched up the original DVD
release.

So now here comes Sony with a new "collector's edition" (double-dipping, as they do so well). There actually are some snippets that make this one worth having, notably the "deleted" which actually do add a little more to the film. The extras are puff-pieces - but watchable.
Only for Bond die-hards, or folks who believe Blue Ray will replace regular DVD.』

(James Bond, Completely Revitalized and Renewed - Perfect on BluRay!)
『This movie did for the James Bond franchise what Batman Begins [Blu-ray] did for the "caped crusader". Totally revitalized for modern times, with all of the old schtick thrown out. Dark, brooding, sexy, artistic and cool. What a great film. The film is absolutely perfect on BluRay as well. The HD mastering is perfect, the sound mastering is flawless, and the extras are totally worth the price of purchase. Amongst the best of the best of Bond flicks. An absolute must for any Bond aficionado and highly recommended even for the casual Bond fan.』

(Daniel Craig Is The Best 007 Ever!!!!)
『CASINO
ROYALE
7 is an action packed movie! And awesome.』

(not quite)
『The only thing perfect in this movie is Judi Dench.
I just love these British actors who mask their enormous skill (clarity of speech, face, postures) under an easiness so deceptive. When acting Shakespeare they can be operatic allright as it is right for Baroque but when they play "normal" characters they are apparently real, everyday... But try and ask a non professional to play a "normal" part and you shall see the difference.

This first 007 after a while boasts the great novelty, Daniel Craig.
Such a novelty he is not. I loved Timothy Dalton and he was very physical, very crude too. Not that Mr Craig is a miscast: he seems an excellent actor (I know no other movie of his), he has a beautiful muscular body that the authors display throughout the film, an eastern European (Polish or Russian I should say) look to his face that is peculiar and easy to remember.

The authors tried it and in my opinion they failed: they wanted to offer the public an updated 007, very physical, gory, even crude but casting Mr Craig has been useless because they left the rest unchanged. The famous opening scenes, Bond and the bomber jumping from a crane to the other... just as improbable as similar scenes in the past Roger Moore movies were.
The situations are trite, the villains are still mono dimensional, the women are just as beautiful and just as meaningless.

And please, the dialogues?

These movies are intended for the general public, allright, but do the lines have to be idiotic? Do they have to convey the usual "Me Tarzan, you Jane" content and ethics? The only really good exchange? That of Bond tortured by Le Chiffre, but perhaps I was distracted by the sight of Mr Craig's naked body.

The authors seem to have paid a lot of attention to beauty in fact... A sign of times? Settings are beautiful as is the photograph and some actors/actresses are attractive indeed.
I loved particularly Ms Murrino and the actor (don't know his name) who plays the terrorist at the airport: both have huge beautiful eyes, beautiful looks and seem to be able to play too, had this been put to use somehow...』

Casino Royaleintroduces James Bond before he holds his license to kill. But Bond is no less dangerous, and with two professional assassinations in quick succession, he is elevated to "00" status. "M" (Judi Dench), head of the British Secret Service, sends the newly-promoted 007 on his first mission that takes him to Madagascar, the Bahamas and eventually leads him to Montenegro to face Le Chiffre, a ruthless financier under threat from his terrorist clientele, who is attempting to restore his funds in a high-stakes poker game at the Casino Royale. "M" places Bond under the watchful eye of the Treasury official Vesper Lynd. At first skeptical of what value Vesper can provide, Bond's interest in her deepens as they brave danger together. Le Chiffre's cunning and cruelty come to bear on them both in a way Bond could never imagine, and he learns his most important lesson: Trust no one.』
『The most successful invigoration of a cinematic franchise sinceBatman Begins, Casino Royaleoffers a new Bond identity. Based on the Ian Fleming novel that introduced Agent 007 into a Cold War world,Casino Royaleis the most brutal and viscerally exciting James Bond film since Sean Connery left Her Majesty's Secret Service. Meet the new Bond; not the same as the old Bond. Daniel Craig gives a galvanizing performance as the freshly minted double-0 agent. Suave, yes, but also a "blunt instrument," reckless, and possessed with an ego that compromises his judgment during his first mission to root out the mastermind behind an operation that funds international terrorists. In classic Bond film tradition, his global itinerary takes him to far-flung locales, including Uganda, Madagascar, the Bahamas (that's more like it), and Montenegro, where he is pitted against his nemesis in a poker game, with hundreds of millions in the pot. The stakes get even higher when Bond lets down his "armor" and falls in love with Vesper (Eva Green), the ravishing banker's representative fronting him the money.

(Several Laugh-Out-Loud Moments in this Sarcastic Christmas Flick)

It's hard to compete with nostalgic classics like A Christmas Story and pure childish fun like Elf. Many have failed.

Fred Claus. Well, Fred nearly pulls it off. Enough for me to purchase the movie and make it a must watch at least once during the Christmas season. Vince Vaughn plays a sarcastic screw-up, and fans of his or sarcastic screw-ups are sure to find Fred Claus appealing.

Of course there are the sappy and yeah-right moments that make the movie a warm, fuzzy family movie. Cheesiness happens, but really, in the North Pole you gotta expect some sugar and/or cheese. There are a few off-color comments and/or double entendres but it is pretty clean overall.

The most amusing theme is the sibling rivalry. Nicholas (Giamatti) is a saint of course, and Fred, well, he's the older and forgotten brother, which requires a few laugh-out-loud counseling sessions. Several "cameo" appearances make the movie fun for adults and will likely keep them engaged if Vaughn isn't enough to do so. The kids will love the whole North Pole fun and frivolity.』

(An Average Christmas Comedy)
『Fred Claus, the heretofore unknown brother of Santa Claus is the subject of this entirely average holiday film. This film is better than last year's horrible Deck the Halls, but not even close to the holiday [now] classic Elf (Infinifilm Edition). The best parts of this movie are the very enjoyable stars including of course Vince Vaughn, who is very funny on screen, and Paul Giamatti. There are several nice little messages in the film, but there really is not any new ground covered here. I think this is a three star movie that is enjoyable for family viewing, especially the younger viewers.』

(Wonderful seasonal movie)
『I loved the movie. The ending was really the best part where 2 brothers get back together and discover they love each other, and all is right with the world. A+ Ivylou』

(Bleh)
『I might have a different opinion of this movie if I could actually stand to watch it all the way through, but after giving it a fair shake and watching the first portion of the film I was left wholly underwhelmed. My wife and I both just kept looking at the screen wondering why it didn't get better and how it could be so disappointing.

I wish I could say that I'd give this film another chance and see the rest of it, but I just don't think I can subject myself to such torture.』

(Really Liked This Christmas Movie)
『The whole family really enjoyed this movie, parents, 17 and 12 year old. What we particularly liked, the film had a pleasant message without being a sledge hammer. "Kids are not naughty." It also wasn't saccharine. And there was no super scary climax that would scare any kid watching the movie. It moved from point A to point B at a good pace.

This was a very odd cast, Paul Giamatti as Santa Claus (not a great choice), Vince Vaughn as Fred (he does play Vince Vaughn but tones down the obscene humor), Kathy Bates as Mother Claus, Trevor Peacock as Father Claus, (Jim Trott from the Vicar of Dibley, plays this role straight), and gorgeous Rachel Weisz as Fred's girlfriend. The ultimate is seeing Kevein Spacey playing a slightly toned down Kevin Spacey as the corporate expert.

To me, it's the rare PG film that has a decent story for everyone. There's none of that horrible nonsense from the Tim Allen movies. The jokes are easy to understand for everyone. The plot is the same as all Christmas stories. But the twist is nice, there are no naughty kids.

I am very particular about video and sound quality. This disc was spot on to me. I didn't expect it to be a Criterion transfer, and it certainly wasn't. I can't remember seeing a single black compression artifact in the dark inky skies of this film. And frankly, I just sat back and enjoyed this film. The CG effects with the reindeer were surprisingly good.

Not a classic like A Christmas Story or Miracle on 34th Street or It's A Wonderful Life. But it sure does fit in my Christmas collection right beside Elf. I'll watch this film every year.』

『This is a story you?ve never heard before a hilarious and heartwarming comedy about Fred Claus Santa?s brother ? and complete opposite. After growing up in saintly Nick?s shadow Fred becomes a grouch who?s lost his belief in Christmas. Then one magical December Fred flies north (first class via reindeer) to find brother Nick is in trouble: a scheming efficiency expert is out to shut down Christmas forever! Expect fun by the sleighful as Fred helps save Christmas and rediscovers the gift of family. Join Vince Vaughn Paul Giamatti Miranda Richardson Rachel Weisz Kathy Bates Kevin Spacey and more in a yuletide treat to enjoy for years to come.Running Time: 116 min.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: COMEDY/CHRISTMAS UPC: 085391139577 Manufacturer No: 1000023975』
『Vince Vaughn is enormously enjoyable as the titularFred Claus, disgruntled older brother of the better-known St. Nicholas himself, i.e., the North Pole’s very own Santa (Paul Giamatti). A garrulous hustler running from the emotional fallout of the ultimate sibling rivalry, poor Fred keeps trying to find happiness through one failed scheme after another, pushing away the people who care about him most. When brother Santa puts the squeeze on him to help out in the toy factory atop the world, Fred turns the place into one big, raucous party. Unfortunately, he’s unaware that Santa and Mrs. Claus (Miranda Richardson) are under tight scrutiny from an oversight committee (represented by a calculating Kevin Spacey) and could be shut down. The film, directed by David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers), gleams and twinkles the way a holiday movie should, and has plenty of fun material for youngsters, including a wacky chase scene in which Fred goes on the run from a half-dozen, angry Salvation Army Santas. ButFred Clausis also supposed to appeal to hip adults with a taste for ironic farce, and on that score the movie feels like a succession ofSaturday Night Liveskits more than an organic whole. Still, Vaughn holds everything together with a smart, insightful performance that looks deep into his character’s torment--with more than a few laughs.--Tom Keogh

(Very good!)
『I enjoyed seeing Jackie Chan and Jet Li on screen at the same time. The movie is very engaging, and the martial arts are top rate.
If I had any complaint it would be that it was just too short.』

(Fun&silly Kung Fu fantasy)
『Jackie Chan makes a great drunken mystic, and Jet Li is as good as ever in this very entertaining film. The setpieces are great and there are quite a few good laughs involved in this movie. It is aimed at kids, but it's still good fun and well worth watching.』

(Definitely for a younger audience ...)
『I love me some Crouching Tiger-ish Kung Fu movies. I've had my eye on The Forbidden Kingdom since it came out, considering the film teamed up Jet Li AND Jackie Chan- two favs for me!- in a fantasy type period piece.

I, for one, wasn't disappointed although, because it seems to be targeting a younger audience doesn't hit the caliber of some other recent martial arts films to hit the theaters.

The story begins with a young boy named Jason who dreams of Kung Fu epic battles every night. He's even befriended an old Chinese man he calls Pop who runs a pawn shop in Boston's Chinatown. When a bunch of bully's force him to get Pop to open the door for them, he ends up running for his life. But during the fray, Jason picks up a magical bo staff that Pop had been holding onto till the one who is supposed to return it to it's proper owner arrives.

To Jason's horror, the Bully's end up shooting Pop, and just when they have Jason cornered as well, the bo staff transports Jason to an ancient Chinese kingdom, where an evil war lord rules and the noble Monkey King has been turned to stone, awaiting the return of his magical staff.

Which of course becomes Jason's mission!

Along the way, he meets a constantly inebriated immortal named Lu Yan (Jackie Chan) who reluctantly agrees to mentor Jason in the martial arts. He also befriends a beautiful young woman named Sparrow, who's family was murdered by the nut case warlord as well as a mysterious monk (Jet Li) who has dedicated his life to finding the Monkey King's staff.

Stunningly beautiful scenery populates the film and crazy acrobatic battles between Li&Chan ensue- as well as between these two and the big bads! The movie even made me chuckle from time to time, thanks to the always enthusiastic, though admittedly getting-too-old-for-this, Jackie Chan.

In the end, The Forbidden Kingdom felt a bit like The Karate Kid for 2008. A cool little fable with plenty of action too boot! (I certainly would recommend it for a younger audience then Jet Li usually draws!)

4 out of 5 from me』

(The Forbidden Kingdom)
『A nice light fantasy adventure movie with some Kung Fu fighting thrown in as well. This is not meant to be a serious kick tail Kung Fu movie. If you thought that you will be disappointed. It is much more serious than "Karate Kid", but it has a fair amount of humor thrown in initially. It is meant to be a movie the family can enjoy and they will. A nice mix of modern and ancient with East meets West. Good casting with Michael Angarano as the Jersey American thrown into the past, where he meets three masters of Kung Fu in Ancient China played by Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Yifei Liu. He must take a special staff that was given to him by a dying Chinese Pawn Shop owner, played by Chan, to the Monkey King, played by Li. Chan reuses his role as a drunken master in the Ancient China role as he has done well before in other movies. Although this movie is more adventure than huge Kung Fu choregraphed fights, there are still plenty of those in the movie. Chan and Li both played two parts adeptly, and I recommend it. I give it three and a half stars. Great quality DVD with extras and good replayability. If you enjoyed this catch "Kung Fu Hustle".

CA Luster』

(Below Average Kung Fu Movie!)
『I saw this movie couple times and both DVD and in the theatre. On average, this movie is below any kung Fu Movie either from China, Hong Kong or even Kung Fu Panda! Let me explain.
1. The main character Jason - the American kid he might be a teen ager, neither he is cute or handsome. I don;t why the director chose this guy, from the beginning to the end of the movie, I didn't see anything sparkling about him.
2. The basic color or tone of this movie looks like a old 60's or 70's style. From the beginning in Chinatown, ( any costume in the movie) to the end,... It's all very dark, old, looks really strange and like a batman movie, even the characters - forgot the name of the bad guy - his mandarin is very strange and his make up is too much.....
3. This might be a movie for families, but I think from beginning it;s still too vilentcy. It's not good for kid,
4. The two girls in the Movie- White hair girl and Golden Swallow, they're both very good actors from China, and from this movie, it's a waste for their talent.
5. Like what I said before, the basic tone of this movie is very dark, looks more like a animation and the scenery is very fake....

If you want to see real Ku fu movie- go to search any other Jet Li or Jacky Chan's movie, will be better than this one.』

『Individually, they've starred in the most adrenaline-pumping martial-arts adventures ever. Together for the first time, Jet Li and Jackie Chan join forces to create the greates epic of them all- THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM. As ancient Chinese warriors, they must train and mentor a 21st century kung-fu fanatic who's been summoned to fight a centuries-old battle and free the imprisoned Monkey King. If you're a fighting fan, the wait is over. The team is ready. The Kingdom has arrived.』
『Getting martial-arts superstars Jet Li and Jackie Chan together in the same action film is like a fantasy come true, even ifThe Forbidden Kingdomis more of a children's movie than an instant kung-fu classic. Yes, Li and Chan square off in a lengthy, acrobatic fight scene that is a lot of fun, though it can't be what such a scene might have been even a decade ago: careful editing now compensates for the 54-year-old Chan's slower moves and reflexes. Still, Chan doesn't disappoint as Lu Yan, a drunken immortal in ancient China who mentors a modern-day American kid, Jason (Michael Angarano), the latter having slipped into the past while in possession of a magical staff that belongs to the imprisoned Monkey King (Li). In order to get back to his own time and help an old friend (also Chan) wounded by thugs, Jason accompanies Lu Yan and a lovely warrior, Golden Sparrow (Liu Yifei), on a journey to return the staff. Along the way, a (mostly) silent monk (Li, again), who has spent his life in search of the staff, joins their mission. He helps Lu Yan train Jason in fighting and adding more muscle to the party as it comes under siege from a violent witch (Li Bing Bing) and pathological warlord (Collin Chou). Screenwriter John Fusco(Hidalgo)and director Rob Minkoff(The Haunted Mansion)have made a slightly chintzy, Western version of a Chinese swords-and-sorcery tale. The gravity-defying, flying-through-the-air-while-fighting choreography looks pretty choppy and graceless compared to, say, the martial arts films of Zhang Yimou. ButThe Forbidden Kingdomis really aimed at kids, not aficionados of epic fight movies. On that score, the movie aims to please and does so for the right audience. --Tom Keogh

(Disappointed)
『This documentary is not very in-depth and was not made very well. It seemed to be made in a hurry as there are some obvious mistakes and was not made with much detail. Only a few schools across the country are represented, so I don't see how that reflects the title, Friday Nights in AMERICA, indicating that schools across the entire country would be discussed. Overall I was very disappointed.』

(Friday Nights In America)
『I was taken on a magical journey inside the phenomenon of high school football in our country. I loved the segment on "The Muck Bowl" in the Everglades of S. Florida. I was truly impressed with the story on De La Salle High School and their articulate and compassionate head coach.
I was saddened, yet enlghtened, by the closing of so many high schools in western PA due to the loss of their steel mills. It really hit home when I saw towns that had lost their local prep team, also lose their identities. This was a revealing contrast. All in all, it taught me that millions of people invest large portions of themselves in the fate of their H.S. teams every friday night in the fall. A wonderful documentary. Well told.』

(Not worth it)
『This is the worst documentary I've ever seen and is truly not worth the money. The main point is not argued well and it is generally not well done. I was expecting to find out why "more people attend high school football games than all pro and college games combined" because that is the very first statement presented to the audience. However, the film is more about old-time rivals and how great it is to win than about why communities give greater support to high school teams over pro and college teams. Furthermore, only a handful of teams are presented, and I wasn't convinced that they represent American high school football as a whole, especially because every team ends up winning. The documentary fails to capture the excitement and tension of high school football games. In addition, I was disgusted by the fact that there were spelling errors. "Coach" is misspelled "Caoch" on two different occasions, and "Receiver" is misspelled "Reciever."

Overall, I was not entertained and did not learn anything new about high school football by watching this documentary. If you want to watch a film that truly captures the essence of high school football and wonderfully portrays a sense of tradition and excitement on a Friday night, buy "Friday Night Lights," or even "Varsity Blues."

『More people attend high school football games than all pro and college games combined. Join us on a fascinating journey to discover why these games remain America's most popular event. Is it just a small town phenomena? Why do so many fans attach so much of their identities to the fate of their home team? How do these games manage to blur the lines between color, wealth, age and gender? From the prairies of west Texas, to the cotton fields of Georgia, from abandoned steel mill towns in W. PA to affluent Concord, CA and the #1 team in the nation, FRIDAY NIGHTS IN AMERICA goes behind-the-scenes to uncover the magic of the Friday night spectacle』

For longtime fans of the franchise,Casino Royaleoffers some retro kicks. Bond wins his iconic Astin-Martin at the gaming table, and when a bartender asks if he wants his martini "shaken or stirred," he disdainfully replies, "Do I look like I give a damn?" There's no Moneypenny or "Q," but Dame Judi Dench is back as the exasperated M, who one senses, admires Bond's "bloody cheek." A Bond film is only as good as its villain, and Mads Mikkelsen as Le Chiffre, who weeps blood, is a sinister dandy. From its punishing violence and virtuoso action sequences to its romance,Casino Royaleis a Bond film that, in the words of one character, makes you feel it, particularly during an excruciating torture sequence. Double-0s, Bond observes early on, "have a short life expectancy." But with Craig, there is new life in the old franchise yet, as well as genuine anticipation for the next one when, at last, the signature James Bond theme kicks in following the best last line ever in any Bond film. To quote Goldie Hawn inPrivate Benjamin, now I know what I've been faking all these years.--Donald Liebenson

(better than I thought)
『I went into seeing this movie thinking it would be just another dumb remake of a TV show. I was very wrong about that. The movie was entertaining and had good action from beginning to end. I mean the fight scenes were well coreographed as well as the explosions/special effects were well done. This is the first movie that Carrell had the leading role that I really liked. The supporting cast also meshed well to make this a good movie. I would recommend this movie for anyone looking for a good laugh and some action.』

(GET SMART DVD)
『VERY FAST AND EFFICIENT ON THE DELIVERY AND HOW NEW THE PRODUCT WAS. VERY PLEASED WITH HOW THE SALE WENT AND WE HAVE WATCHED THIS MOVIE AND I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. VERY FUNNY! STEVE CARELL AND ANNE HATHAWAY ARE VERY TALENTED AND FUNNY.』

(A successful modern spoof)
『This modern-day update of TV's classic "Get Smart" spy spoof is an entirely successful comedy film, and definitely better than I would have thought. Steve Carell's Maxwell Smart isn't as nebbishy as one might expect, based on either the original role, or on Carell's other roles -- indeed, this Maxwell Smart is much more capable than the earlier incarnation, where he usually won over the forces of evil by sheer dumb luck. This film is a savvy spy parody with a light, sure touch -- it drags a little in the end (the inevitable chase scene) but overall, it's quite intelligent and genuinely funny. Worth checking out! (Joe Sixpack, Slipcue film reviews)』

(A very funny movie)
『I was a fan of the old TV show
and this movies does that no harm!
I'm also a big Anne Hathaway fan and she pulls off
the comedy acting well.
With the Bush administration making the spy business a bad word,
it is refreshing to see something "fresh" if it is a revival.
The latest Bond movie is a real sell out!
Most of the jokes were is good taste,
unlike another spoof spy movie that it on three remakes.
I was just thinking about buying the TV series DVD for someone in the family for Christmas.』

(A Tribute That Gets It Right)
『Most movie tributes to TV series don't impress me. They usually try to revisit every gag of the original series and it ends up seeming forced and contrived. This movie is not at all that way. It manages to pay homage to the original series without dredging up every possible moment. It's fresh, contemporary and when they drop and old line or an old gag it's always done constructively frequently in a surprising context.

Steve Carell brings the viewer a believable character, a Maxwell Smart that actually is smart but somewhat inexperienced as a field agent. Likewise, Anne Hathaway portrays 99 as an experienced agent with real emotions and feelings, someone that grants respect to Max only as he earns it. In a sense, much of the movie is based upon the TV show but reels it in a bit and plays as being plausible in many ways.

The final scene is probably the most far-fetched but it is also very gripping. Overall it plays about like the average Bond film but the humor is rarely far from the surface.

(Big Bang Theory delivers big laughs)
『In this world of drama, I was seeking comic relief...You fall in love with
these characters amd find yourself rooting for their successes. Social skills are so over-rated and relationships are so complex...these guys live in the truth about everything....they are eluded by the complexities of relationship lies and proticols.....refreshing comic performances....excellent X-mas gift for anyone of intelligence...』

(Fantastic!)
『I'm not going to repeat the premise of the show (which is very helpful, but already pointed out by others) These actors are truly gifted in making their characters come to life. I have watched and re-watched every episode. While my husband was stationed in Iraq, I had to promise I would record every episode for him, which I did. Afterward I happened to notice the first season for sale. There was no hesitation - I bought it immediately (eventhough I had them all recorded) so I could watch it as often as I wanted, with no fear of data loss. This show is very unique and an absolute pleasure to watch. The intertwined relationships of these characters has so much potential. I truly hope this show will last many years. I find myself actually smiling while watching each episode unfold. Big Bang Theory is exceptional entertainment.』

(Great show)
『Very funny and smart. You can't help but fall in love with the characters. The show is well thought out, greatly written, and is hilarious without trying too hard. I love, love, love this show.』

(Beter on DVD)
『I love the Big Bang Theory, but seldom get a chance to watch it or tape the show. This was the first time I purchased a complete season of a television show...it was great, no commercials and I was able to get a handle on the characters as they developed. Looking forward to season 2.』

(Very Very Amusing)
『One of the greatest brand new comedies at the the moment, a must see show!!

If you have no watched/purchased this, i would suggest doing so very rapidly, you are missing out!!!!』

『University physicists Leonard and Sheldon know whether to use an integral or a differential to solve the area under a curve. But they don’t have a clue about girls. Or dating. Or clothes. Or parties. Or having fun. Or, basically, life. So when a pretty blonde named Penny moves in the apartment across the hall, the guys decide to get an education outside of the classroom. Boys, you have a lot to learn. With series creators Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men) and Bill Prady (The Gilmore Girls) concocting the right mix of logic and lunacy and stars Johnny Galecki (Roseanne) and Jim Parsons (Judging Amy) turning geekdom into Phi Beta fun,The Big Bang Theoryis big on laughs. And life.』
『The delightful sitcomThe Big Bang Theoryrevolves around a character type rarely seen on television: The alpha geek. Physicists Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) get their lives shaken up when an attractive young woman named Penny (Kaley Cuoco) moves in to the apartment across from theirs. The key to the show, though, is not that they both fall haplessly in love--Leonard does, but Sheldon remains impermeably aloof and caustic about anything resembling romance or human relationships in general. While the push and pull of Leonard's yearning for Penny motivates much of the series' ongoing plot, the show's real drive comes from Sheldon's fantastic combination of obsessive-compulsive neurosis and grandiose obliviousness. He's a brilliant comic creation, imperious and dorky, a seamless collaboration of clever writing and an inspired performance by Parsons. Whether Sheldon loses his job for insulting his new boss, or finds his ego bruised by a child prodigy, or finds himself unable to bear being part of a lie that Leonard has told, he attacks the world with a relentless need to assert his supremacy--and the results are deeply funny.

The triumph ofThe Big Bang Theoryis that everyone is written with genuine affection; what could have been a lifeless parade of stereotypes--Two Nerds and a Hot Chick--becomes instead a charming collision of cultures. The familiar stuff (computer games, comic books, social incompetence) has the grit of specificity; the show understands the difference between Halo and Halo 3, knows what the Bottle City of Kandor is, and grasps the infinite variety of ways in which a conversation can go terribly awry. (Penny gets less nuance, but Cuoco still gives her a distinctive personality.) Kudos as well to supporting players Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar, who bring their own variations on geekiness to the table, and to great appearances by some of Galecki's former cohorts onRoseanne--Sara Gilbert as geekette Leslie and Laurie Metcalf as Sheldon's fundamentalist mother. All in all, one of the most winning sitcoms in years.--Bret Fetzer

(great movie)
『This is a great urban type of fairytale story . The music really sets this tale apart from others like it. Really worth watching』

(Uniquely Composed)
『Have you ever stopped and listened to the sounds all around you? Did you hear the crickets, the wind chimes, the sounds of the wind? They create music, a symphony when all is put together. It is so beautiful and majestic. Even taking in the scenery that paints pictures before you, can add to the wonders of the natural sounds. August Rush (2007) is the perfect movie to turn your attention to these everyday surroundings. Not only is it a movie of music and the power it holds, but it is also a movie of love, whether it be romantic love, friendly love, or the love of a family. August Rush has it. Its story line
