I just purchased my first plasma, and the picture of Nature's Colors was so clear...beautiful scenery and sharp colors. The best thing about this HD DVD is that I can show off my new HDTV while entertaining with the nature scenes accompanied with serene classical music. I recommend it!!』
(I was pleased...) 『Perhaps my expectations weren't as atmospheric as some, but I really enjoy this DVD and watch it all the time. I put the HD side through my 42 inch plasma and it looks and sounds magnificent. Some of the scenes were so vibrant and colorful it seemed unreal. Of course it wasn't all spectatcular but there was enough to satisfy me. I agree Planet Earth on HD is a better DVD (set), but it is also a different one. It is geared toward education and has a lot animals scenes. Nature's colors is for relaxing - lovely music accompaniement. Perfect for puttering around the house or sitting with a drink chatting to friends. I recommend!』
(What a disappointment!) 『Unfortunately to my dismay this HD DVD fails to live up to its own statement "stunning high definition 1080i". What a big disappointment! It simply falls far below of my expectation.
Although a step up from standard definition DVD, the transfer has added only some detail and depth, hardly any 3-D effect. Certain scenes are too grainy to my eyes. There's a scene (beach, wave heating the rocks) in the last song..geez...it's blur&worse than a DVD.
Some scenes are indeed repetitive. The consolations are: It gives you a kind of relaxation mood or calming effect seeing the nature sceneries&I quite enjoy the classical music pieces. 』
(Disappointing Picture Quality) 『What a pitty such a good idea but the picture Quality is not constant 70% is ok but unfortunatly a lot of disappointing scene's inbetween ruins a good concept. If you are looking for a nature disc in High DEF buy Planet Earth.』
(Overrated Scenery) 『This DVD fails to deliver high quality photography of nature's colors and some scenes are repetitive. Music pieces end just as they are starting to become enjoyable. I was disappointed.』 『This stunning High Definition 1080i video release is accompanied by the world's greatest and most recognizable music - from Bach to Beethoven to Ravel to Debussy - all in True HD and Dolby Digital Plus Surround.

(No spanish track) 『Maybe this is the older version, but there is no spanish track to this video.』
(It's Not 72 Minutes!) 『It's great for my son but it is NOT 72 minutes long like it said when I bought it. I was looking for one that was the longest because for 15 bucks you don't want only 30 minutes. Well i got 24 minutes instead of 72 minutes for $15. I suggest buying used because $15 for 24 minutes is a HUGE ripoff.』
(My 6 month old loves it!) 『It keeps her very entertained with colors, music, and sounds. Very educational and will definitely buy more from Baby Einstein!』
(Never to early to start with the Classics.) 『I think the Baby Einstein products are amazing. Why not start early letting your children watch and listen to something very worthwhile. My three year old grandson has graduated to Little Einstein and now sings all the classical melodies.』 『Discovering a rainbow of colors through art, music and poetry! -- Introduces babies to six basic colors -- Exposes little ones to famous Van Gogh masterpieces
For a growing baby, the world is like one huge masterpiece just waiting to be discovered. And as babies' eyesight develops, their ability to recognize and respond to colors makes their new discoveries all the more exciting! Baby Van Gogh presents little ones with a mesmerizing introduction to six basic colors: yellow, green, orange, purple, red and blue. Creatively incorporating the paintings of Vincent Van Gogh, together with original poems, beautiful classical music and the hilarious antics of an art-loving puppet, this vibrant voyage will transport you and your baby into an interactive rainbow of sights and sounds as you explore and celebrate this colorful, captivating, ever-changing world together!
DVD Features -- Repeat play -- Language tracks (Spanish, French and English) -- Discovery cards -- Puppet shows -- Toy chest』 『The Baby Einstein Company's "video board books" were designed as music-focused developmental tools to stimulate babies' brains (prompted by research proving that exposure to classical melodies can improve verbal ability, spatial intelligence, creativity, and memory in youngsters). Now the company is expanding into other art forms, including color and art. The idea remains the same--taking bold, beautiful objects (toys, puppets, nature scenes) and setting them to fun renditions of classical music (their recordings are easily the best in the crowded field of child development). A new puppet--Vincent Van Goat--introduces the six primary colors and associates them with Van Gogh's paintings--"The Starry Night" for blue, "Wheat Fields with Reaper" for yellow. The only misstep is the poetry written and read by creator Julie Aigner-Clark, which is strongly reminiscent of Dr. Seuss'sMy Many Colored Days.
The company suggests the program is for toddlers between the ages of 1 and 4. Harsh sounds between segments--such as balloons popping and tires screeching--will draw the attention of youngsters but will probably render the video inappropriate for babes in arms. The video can be purchased by itself or with a beautifully produced 28-page book featuring Van Gogh's paintings, screen shots from the video, and Clark's poems. The combination set may be the best way to engage 3- and 4-year-olds' interest; they can follow along in the text while watching the video. Music includes "The William Tell Overture," "The Blue Danube," "Bolero," and Brahms's "Lullaby." The video also provides information on the cool toys seen in the ending "Toy Chest" segment.--Doug Thomas』

I will always use amazon for all my dvd's purchase. signed David Haskins』 『The final season of In Living Color was as outrageous as the first four, having thrust its courageous cast into stardom, especially Jamie Foxx, David Alan Grier, Chris Rock and Jim Carrey. As usual, nothing was sacred and no public figure was safe, as the hilarious sketches challenged censors and viewers with piercing parody. So bid a fond farewell to one of the freshest, funniest sketch shows of all time with this this 3-disc Collector's Edition, featuring all 26 hilarious Season Five episodes.』 『Nothing seems to divide a TV show's fan base more than its final season, and in the case of the fearless sketch comedy seriesIn Living Color, there's no exception. Some feel that despite the departure of series creator Keenan Ivory Wayans, siblings/co-stars Damon, Kim, and Shawn, and standout castmate Kelly Coffield (as well as "Fly Girl" Jennifer Lopez) in the fourth season, the show still had some of its old fire, and that's evident from several of the sketches collected in this box, including several "Dirty Dozens" sketches, "The B.S. Brothers Talk Show," and "East Hollywood Squares" (withHollywood Squareshost Peter Marshall once again as host) The other side of the debate contends that the show had either suffered from too much intervention from the Fox Network (which had taken a more hands-on approach to the show shortly before the Wayans jumped ship), or had simply run out of gas by its 1993-94 season, and its once-fresh characters and concepts had turned from cutting-edge to offensive for offensive's sake. And that's evident on this set as well: Jim Carrey's Fire Marshall Bill seems more forced than ever, and spoofs of Ike Turner, Barney, and other pop culture piñatas seem like easy targets that would've been overlooked in earlier seasons. Still, there are laughs to be found in season 5, and when it works, the comedy contained here is brighter and more outrageous than most of what passes for sketch comedy on television today. No extras are included in thethree double-sided-disc set, though a wealth of comedy and musical guest stars, including Chris Rock, Johnny Gill, Shaquille O'Neal, US3, and others add some sparkle to the episodes.--Paul Gaita』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Visually stunning, Good content) 『Much of the footage in this 2 DVD set is spectacular. It really makes the events of WW2 seem like they could have happened a couple of years ago. Some of it is so good that it looks as though it might have been faked! Not all of it though. A few clips appear grainy, yellowish, etc. Also, I was truly surprised at how few of these clips I had seen before. Some of them I recognized but the majority were totally new to me (and I have seen a lot of ww2 documentaries). A word of caution: like most war docs, there are some pretty gruesome scenes. As far as the content, it was pretty good. It was a little like "The War" by Ken Burns in that actors would read letters, diary entries, and the like. Indeed, the writings of Quentin Aanenson and Eugene Sledge make their rounds here too (you will know them well from "The War"). It was kind of funny that the actor would read the letter in English but with an accent from the author's country of origin. I guess it would remind you that the speaker was German, French, Russian, Japanese, or whatever. Kind of goofy but I got used to it. Also, keep in mind that it is only about 3 hrs and they were limited to only showing color footage. Because of this, there is very little detail and some major events are barely mentioned. This is primarily a visual experience. If you're a WW2 buff, you won't learn anything new. Then again, of you're a WW2 buff, I highly recommend this DVD.』
(I was amazed when I saw some of this as a child) 『I was amazed when I saw some of this as a child in color at a time when most films were black and white. I thought that color film wasn't even invented prior to WW II. Ted Turner can colorize anything these days, even WW I, but this is the real thing and you can tell. Very nice indeed』
(simply incredible) 『World War II--The Lost Color Archives gives people a rare opportunity to essentially witness World War II as it actually looked in color. The quality of the color footage varies at times but it certainly gives you the feeling that you were there much more than if you were to watch the same footage shot only in black and white. The quality of the sound is excellent. Thank goodness for the History Channel from which this program comes!
The first of the two DVDs contains color films of events beginning at about the time of The Spanish Civil War and the coronation of a new King (George) in Great Britain. We witness footage of English statesmen actually visiting amicably with Hitler; Hitler sure had them fooled! There is interesting footage of great historical value concerning the German invasions of countries like Poland and The Soviet Union; and we also see the horrifying color footage of the fires in London during the German bombing of the city.
The first DVD also includes footage of the fight in the Pacific; we see our men fighting to capture islands in the Pacific that could be sued as bases for important military maneuvers including the Enola Gay flight that would drop "the bomb" on Japan.
In addition, there is color footage of the brutal Wausau ghetto where Jews were housed like cattle and children were left as orphans on the streets to die. The brutal treatment of the Jews and other Nazi atrocities are made very clear throughout the course of this two DVD set.
The second DVD gives us footage of the last year and one-half of the war. We see D Day, the rescue of France, other countries, and the people in concentration camps from brutal German occupation and the gradual erosion of Hitler's German military machine. The footage continues to show us a great deal of bombing, damage from bombing and carnage. It's truly fascinating to watch World War II in color.
The DVDs have some extras on the second of the two DVDs. What we get is mostly more color footage that was not used for the actual program of World War II in color. There is footage of Hitler and the elite guards at his country estate and we get great footage of Americans fighting their best. We see more footage of fires raging through destroyed cities--and more. This is excellent bonus footage and it lasts about twenty minutes.
Overall, I highly recommend this two DVD package for history buffs, military buffs and veterans of World War II. This color footage is actually quite rare and I believe that it has great historical significance.』
(World War II - The Lost Color Archives) 『History and war buffs, rejoice. Just when you thought you'd seen every World War II documentary, from "The World At War" to "Victory At Sea", this set appears. While you may not glean a wealth of new information or insight into the period, the color films imbue the war with an immediacy you've never experienced before- unless of course, you were there. This alone makes the DVD a worthwhile investment of time and money. Bear in mind this is all bona-fide color footage-nothing has been colorized. The effect is spellbinding, almost miraculous- as when Judy Garland as Dorothy first lands in Oz.』
(Good, not great) 『Based on reviews I'd read beforehand, I expected something big with this 2-disc set. To its credit, it runs 2 hours and 51 minutes. But it's on the pricey side and a lot of what's shown here has been on other more recent (and less expensive) DVD's, like "Hitler, in Color," which is really outstanding. I also expected this DVD set to be better than "World War II in Color, the British Story." On the contrary, the latter costs less than half of this one, ran over an hour longer and had more unique footage and commentary. The "British Story" is all on a single, collector's edition, digital disc.
For those building a DVD library on World War II, especially color features, this 2-volume set belongs in your collection. For those operating on a budget, choose the two DVD's noted above, first. Then, consider "Visions of War, Vol. 2--Hitler, in His Own Words," and various pieces on Winston Churchill, for greater value.』 『In the 1980s determined researchers began scouring the world for color film shot during World War II, and the result of their quest is spectacular. Seeing the war through the ubiquitous black-and-white footage has always made the experience somewhat distant, but in clear, crisp color, the enormity of the war and its horrors is startling and dramatic. Films of Nazi rallies are all the more disturbing; a viewer seeing the scene in color realizes the massive crowds saluting Hitler are no longer gray and faceless masses, but gatherings of well- dressed civilians. Color combat footage, from across Europe and the Pacific, is frighteningly immediate, and some of it, showing the wounded, the dead, and even prisoners being executed, will no doubt be disturbing for many viewers. Violence and destruction on an unimaginable scale is vividly put on display, as are smaller moments of soldiers smiling for the camera or liberated prisoners from the concentration camps staring in pained bewilderment. The episodes, produced by the History Channel, are introduced by veteran journalist Roger Mudd, and the narration for each individual segment typically contains excerpts from letters and diaries describing events close to those depicted in the film footage. The footage used is of a surprisingly high quality (much of it was shot and stored away, virtually unseen for decades), and it provides a stunning look at how the war appeared to those fighting it.--Robert J. McNamara』

They add classical music instead of retaining the natural sounds. The calssical selections are popular ones you should recognize, and the movement from scene to scene is faster than the original Living Landscapes videos. If this appeals to you, enjoy. If you want the natural sounds and longer scenes are each site, get the original Living Landscapes videos.』
(Good but not great) 『I enjoyed most aspects of this Blu-Ray disk. The scenery is indeed natural and colorful, but I felt disappointed in my purchase after the first 10 minutes. The scenery was not varied enough, and there are too many scenes of trees, water and common wildlife that I could video myself by talking a walk in a nearby woods. I was expecting more scenery from unusual places around the world. The quality of the music track is fantastic, especially on my high-end home theater. Once again, too many of the selections are classical music that I've heard countless times on television, movies, radio, etc. Something surprising and new would have gone a long way here.』

Acts 21:37-39
(37) As Paul was about to be brought into the barracks, he said to the tribune, "May I say something to you?" And he said, "Do you know Greek? (38) Are you not the Egyptian, then, who recently stirred up a revolt and led the four thousand men of the Assassins out into the wilderness?" (39) Paul replied, "I am a Jew, from Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no obscure city. I beg you, permit me to speak to the people."
』
(I pray for a better and more in depth attempt) 『I am a black man in America. I saw "The Passion" by Mel Gibson. In the same respect I saw this movie by Jean-Claude LaMarre. I respected Jean-Claude ever since I first saw him playing a role in Malcom X. Yet, after this film I cannot help but feel saddened by his efforts. After all these years, is Jesus' death for the sins of mankind to be cheapened by the result of racial discrimination? The movie did not give an accurate portrayal of the events that led to the death of Jesus Christ. If anyone argues this point, I beg them to go read a Holy Bible.』
(So many misconceptions . . .) 『Yes, there was racism played out in Jesus' death. But because he was Jewish and the Greeks and Romans hated the Jews, especially one who claimed to be the King of Kings. The Greek and Roman kings declared that they were God and were worshiped by their subjects. If not, they would be killed. Well, here comes Jesus, not only Jewish, but claiming to sit on a throne higher than theirs. So Jesus was indeed a threat. That's why they killed him. Because bottom line, he called for everyone, kings included, to worship the one true God. Jesus WAS dark skinned, but because he was Jewish. He could have been purple for all I care. But it is important to understand that Jesus said he is for ALL people. We don't have to mess with biblical facts in order to believe in his love and redemption for ALL people. Just accept him as he is, don't go trying to change the truth in order to make him more palatable or stylish.』 『This powerful, epic film vividly portrays the last 48 hours of the life of Jesus Christ and challenges commonly held assumptions about him. With moving performances from Jean-Claude LaMarre (Malcolm X) and Debbi Morgan (Woman Thou Art Loosed), this stirring film is a triumph!
The first depiction of Jesus as a black man, Color Of The Cross is also the first to suggest that the Crucifixion could have been racially motivated. A compelling script and astounding interpretations of the Bible make this daring masterpiece an achievement not to be missed. With its inspiring, unconventional approach to an emotionally volatile issue, Color of the Cross presents a fresh perspective on the history of Christianity and delivers as moving a portrait of his life as has ever been put to film!』
『Color of the Crossproffers an interesting idea: Jesus Christ was a man of color, and race played a significant part in the events that led to his crucifixion and the Biblical aftermath. Co-writer, director and star Jean-Claude La Marre plays Jesus in this Christian re-telling of the final hours and days of the Messiah, but his spin is certainly unique. La Marre's Christ is an object of worry and derision by Romans and Pharisees, both because the Judean population so fervently hopes for its emancipator, and because he might be a "dark-skinned Nazarene." This provocative element keepsColor of the Crossfairly interesting despite its low budget and La Marre's curious portrayal of Jesus as frequently petulant, a Messiah one can never please. There are some strong performances, including Jean-Pierre Parent as Thomas and Johann John Jean as Judas.--Tom Keogh』

(Jean Claude...What's Really Goin' On,Man?) 『Now before I render what little feedback I have following my viewing of Color of the Cross 2: Resurrection, in no way am I harboring disrespect for Mr. Jean Claude LaMarre nor am I unappreciative for his overall investment and bringing to life of his vision for Color of the Cross and it's attempt(s) at giving the world a fresh perspective on Jesus, His life, ministry, death, burial and resurrection. I feel that, like many other movies such as Jesus of Nazareth, Passion of the Christ, The Last Temptation of Christ, Color of the Cross, though not a perfect account, is a worthy addition to your collection and in a class of it's own(refer to my post for the 1st film for details). However, while the Color of the Cross was a one of a kind classic for being the 1st major motion picture to portray Christ as a black Jew and for it's controversial racial spin on the crucifixion...the sequel is an 85 minute MISERY. Seriously, if you look at the terrible dubbing, the splicing together of stock footage from the 1st film with the soap opera-ish appeal of the sequel, the confusing sequence of events before, during and after the resurrection, the backyard graphics, and poor make-up and constuming...one may ponder whether Jean Claude either ran out of money going into this production or if this was a minute man job thrown together amidst criticism for not incorporating the resurrection in the 1st film. The technical flaws make it easy to note the OBVIOUS difference in the cast, the bad acting, the rambling, and the leaving of little to the imagination. It begins with clips from the 1st film(including dialogue from the 1st film, featuring actors who were replaced in the sequel), Jesus disciples are in hiding, His family is harrassed,Judas' body is found, Joseph of Arimathea has Jesus' entombed, Jesus raises from the dead(in a predictable manner, leaving nothing to the imagination), makes ghost like appearances(and performs a miracle) throughout most of the film after His tomb is found empty, appears to His disciples while they're attempting to fish(strangely, there's no lake, and we see the feeding of the multitudes miracle incorporated as opposed to the disciples casting their net to the other side...lol), Jesus forgives Peter, charges the 11 with the great commission, and "ascends." Amidst it's MANY shortcomings, one can grasp the art in Jean Claude LaMarre's follow-up...we see portrayals of the disciples doubts and fears, His family's struggles, His appearance to the 2 followers on the Emmaus Road as an old man(at 1st) and in the fact that we see Him concealed until toward the end when He allows Himself to be handled by Thomas and the others(bald fade and a clean shave...interesting take on Jesus appearing in a new form). If not for the technical/acting shortcomings...this film would've been passable. But how serious can you take a movie on the life of Christ that looks like it was shot in someone's back yard on a handheld cam w/t live sound one moment and studio dubbing the next? With all due respect, Mr. LaMarre...this one needed a little more time and money. Could've been a lot better and should've made a lot more since than it did. Buyers...this is ONLY for you if you're a completist.』 『From director Jean Claude LaMarre (Color of the Cross), comes another epic film about the ministry of Jesus Christ. This daring film portrays the resurrection of Jesus Christ and his ministry after his death. After the crucifixion of Jesus, the disciples go into hiding believing their lives are in danger. They had lost all hope that Jesus would come back to them as He had prophesied. Three days after his death, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of Jesus, and other women go up to the tomb to put spices on Christ's body. They are shocked to find the tomb completely empty. Jesus' body is gone. The now frightened women go running out of the tomb, when two angels stop them. They declare to the women that Christ has risen! The women, still bewildered, go and spread the news to the disciples. Created with the same enthusiasm and astonishing interpretations as Color of the Cross, The Resurrection brings a new perspective of the resurrection and ascension of Christ.』

(Away We Went!) 『 As one of five still living members of The Glea Club, I was delighted to see the old shows again. The first group (quick re-dos of the old black and whites with added music and dancing) were great fun to do and proved so popular that we did three more seasons of brand new shows. Mr G and dear Art were in their element, and great fun was had by all. Lyn Duddy and Jerry Bresler wrote super songs and dance numbers, and even Mr G did not hesitate to sing out. It's sad that the cast, the orchestra members, and most of the dancers could not have seen and enjoyed these tapes. The color values are great, the sound is good, and what memories!! Can't wait for numbers three and four!』
(Childhood reborn!) 『If you are a late baby boomer like myself, you may remember the early black and white Honeymooners on late, late night television. Or at other odd hours on local TV stations playing over and over in endless re-runs. You probably actually watched the full color weekly broadcasts ("from Miami Beach, the fun and sun capital of the world")that comprise this collection. From the camera racing over the water towards the Miami Beach skyline, through the fun Broadway style musical production numbers to the closing Curtain Calls (Jackie's voice getting louder with each cast member called, "Sheila MacCrae! ART CARNEY!!)the warm fuzzy feelings just keep getting better. Oh yeah, and it's funny!』
(A slower train on a slower track - but gets there on time) 『As the story goes, the New York to Florida relocation of the '60s Jackie Gleason Show was fun in the beginning (1964), but then the excitement seemed to dissipate in predictability - it's presumed that the fans who followed Jackie from the Dumont days still loved all the characters - but there was one very conspicuous by his absence - Ralph Kramden. This character was nowhere to be found on Gleason's 1959 show with Buddy Hackett, and on his 1963 to 1965 shows. On Jaunary 8th, 1966 they did their last B&W Honeymooners, an hour special with music; and Art Carney, Audrey Meadows, and Jane Kean. (Jane was fine, but what a shame Joyce Randolph didn't make the trip down South). Apparently, that was a huge hit, so now it was time to bring 'em back (with Sheila MacCrae and Jane Kean as the wives). Also brought back were the original 1950s scripts, with some modifications). The main difference between the 1954/1957 versions is "color". I believe most fans would have purchased these '50s versions - the players *look* more like their "Classic 39" counterparts. (I was lucky enough to attend viewings of some of these original shows at the Museum Of Broadcasting in NY around 1985). Too bad that the 1957 shows were not also filmed/videod in color, too. Well, c'est la vie. (Ralph might say, SEST LA VYE). So let's sit back and enjoy these very rare programs. All have great production numbers, costuming, sets. The scripts are strong; the acting - it goes without saying. Ten years passed and they didn't miss a beat. (It seemed that their timing was a bit off in the first of the remakes, though). The matured and weightier (*sorry, Great One*) Jackie and Art get to show their versatility through the shows; it's not exactly the pair you've seen from the mid-50s though, so a way of appreciating the proceedings is to treat it as Gleason and Carney on Broadway, so to speak, more than the Honeymooners sing. The Trip to London has some business reminiscent of the "Chef of the Future" episode; not as funny, but still funny. Unfortunately, there's a heavy reliance on vaudeville stuff: ghosts in a castle, guys in gorilla suits in a very tired and dated safari sketch. Its as much Abbott and Costello as Gleason and Carney, and that's a little depressing, although A&C still work for me. Another drawback is the somewhat "theatrical" feel to the shows - the actors appear to berequired to boom out their voices as if playing to a huge auditorium. The "Classic 39" was also done "live" but for whatever technical reason were able to deliver the dialogue softly at times. Let's hope those B&W versions can be rescued from isolation - with all due respect to Sheila MacCrae and Jane Kean, the "Classic 39" troupe looks funnier in the French Bastile!』
(HOW SWEET IT IS!) 『I grew up watching the original 30 minute black and white 39 episodes of The Honeymooners and bought them all on DVD. All I can say about the one hour Color Honeymooners Collection #1, I can sum it up in one word: FANTASTIC!!! Each hour is turned into a musical, and it's so well done by the song writers. So if you like the Honeymooners and musicals, you can't go wrong!
』 『The Color Honeymooners (a/k/a The Jackie Gleason Show), a top-rated comedy/variety program aired, "from the sun and fun capital of the world– Miami Beach!" on Saturday night from 1966-70 on CBS-TV. This long-running series marked the final weekly TV show for "The Great One." Reprising their famous characters from The Honeymooners, the cast was led by Jackie Gleason (Ralph Kramden) and Art Carney (Ed Norton). Newcomers Sheila MacRaeand Jane Kean played long-suffering wives Alice and Trixie. Like popular variety series of the time, the show’s format was a clever combination of new comedy sketches coupled with classic Honeymooners bits. Plenty of big name guest stars and a generous helping of singing and dancing rounded out the hour. Regulars included Gleason’s glamorous Glea-Girls; the June Taylor Dancers; Sammy Spear and His Orchestra, and announcer, Johnny Olson. This 4-disc boxed set includes 10 episodes and bonus features: In 25 Words or Less, Ship of Fools, Poor People of Paris, Confusion, Italian Style, Curseof the Kramdens, The Mod Couple, You’re in the Picture, We Spy, Petticoat Jungle, Mexican Hat Trick』 『In 1966, Jackie Gleason's television variety show added a new hour-long sketch that reintroduced audiences to one of America's favorite families--the Kramdens and their neighbors the Nortons, whom Gleason immortalized asThe Honeymoonersin the 1950s, first on his variety series, and as its own program. For this all-color incarnation, Gleason reunited with Art Carney as pal Ed Norton, while Sheila MacRae and Jane Kean were the new Alice and Trixie, respectively. The Color Honeymoonersalso added musical numbers to the sketches, but aside from these new features, it was the same oldHoneymooners, as seen in this four-disc set, which preserves the nine-episode "Trip to Europe" story arc. It's actually a revised version of the "Box Top Kid" sketch fromThe Jackie Gleason Show<
