『This is a great product, but the stability ball is too small to do the workout. I am 5'6" and it states to get the 55cm ball. The ball feels very sturdy and strong. I tried the workout but I felt very hunched over to do some of the exercises, especially when working on the lower half of my body, which in turn really hurt my back. The workout definitely works because I could felt the "good" kind of soreness the next day, so I know it really targeted my muscles. I think I am going to purchase a larger stability ball though so my back doesn't hurt so much.』

『Hemalayaa and Bollywood is a new concept for me. I recently purchased "Beautiful Belly" with Hemalayaa and will never use another work out video instructor. She is fun with a great attitude. The video has three different 12 minute workouts and a five minute warm up to keep boredom at bay. I started out doing the warm up, plus one of the three circuits. I am now able to do the full workout and my abs have never felt stronger!

Some of the dance moves require a lot of hopping and twisting so make sure your lower body joints are warmed up! If you are a klutz (like I can be) and the moves get too complicated, try doing jumping jacks or shimmying to keep the heartrate up. The idea is to mix cardio moves intermittenly with more specific ab work. You might want to research some very basic bellydance moves before starting because she may use words you are not familiar with. However, you can always just copy her movements.

IMPORTANT: This woman is obviously highly trained and very flexible. DO NOT attempt to make your moves look like hers unless you're very advanced. Most people will not form the perfect "Cobra" or "Downward Dog" the first time they try. She should talk more about your ability level, but since she doesn't, just keep it in mind!

This video is fun and addictive. The music is great and the set design is pleasing to the eye. I want to go out and buy a coin belt to start bellydancing now!』

『I LOVE Hemalayaa's dvds. I have been a fan of hers for quite some time, and though I try other dvds I still come back to hers time after time. Her dvds are effective, fun, and put a smile on my face. Every part of your body gets worked out, I always work up a sweat, and I always have fun. I have finally started to see some progress in my weight loss goals by using her Beautiful Belly dvd along with her first Bollywood dance dvd. I can't wait to try the other ones.

『I bought this dvd because everyone said how great Hemalayaa is. She is suppose to be a yogini that incorporates Bollywood flair into her workouts. I didn't like this video at all. I've been doing yoga for years--several times a week. I take class with instructors, do my own practice, and have several dvds that I enjoy. Halfway through this workout, I had had enough. She's all over the place. She provides poor instruction. There's a pilates section that is poorly done. She constantly has you switching direction so your belly never gets the benefit of the exercise. You're so busy trying to keep up with her changes that the workout isn't fun and not very beneficial. If you want an amazing yoga workout, try one of Ana Brett and Ravi Singh's dvds. If you're looking for more of an aerobic/dance workout, try something else.』

『Sara Ivanhoe leads you through this 20 minute practice focused on the lower body, which is the area that I need the most help in so I was glad to pick this one up. The setting is terrific, the ocean and mountains are behind Sara, very colorful. The music is soft and nothing special but it suits the practice fine.

The first part of the practice starts out standing, you will warm up with a variety of chair poses, each with a different arm position. Then you will move into a series consisting of triangle, half moon and warrior, followed by a series of temple and fan poses, again with different arm positions. Then you will move to the floor, starting with camel pose, then you will move into a lunge stretch later adding a twist. Then you will finish out with pigeon and a stretch for the outer hips before repeating the series on the other side, this time ending in cobblers pose. Finally Sara leads you through a mudra which completes the yoga practice.

I like this routine a lot, it's not very difficult but I find it refreshing and relaxing in a way, not sure if it will sculpt your buns and thighs but it will certainly stretch them out. Yes, it is short but these days I am finding it difficult to fit in yoga at all so I am grateful for these short yoga practices. Sara is my favorite yoga instructor, I seem to click with her style well, she is friendly, encouraging and non intimidating which I like. Highly recommended.』

『Sara Ivanhoe's routines are a pure joy to follow and this one is perfect in combination with the 20-minute weight loss routine. The first routine warms you up and this one pushes you just that little bit further so you get the best workout possible. She teaches everyone from Hollywood stars to normal people like me who don't want to go to the gym and prefer working out at home.

This creative routine will sculpt buns and thighs and also cleanse your soul. By focusing on breathing, you nurture every cell in your body. If you have been working out for quite a few years, some of the exercises in this routine can help you figure out if you are intermediate or advanced.

While beginners will still enjoy most of the exercises, intermediate students will enjoy knowing if they can do a back bend (you are kneeling and you lean backwards) and touch their ankles or if they are still working on flexibility. I can tell you that for the last few years I've been trying to touch my ankles and tonight I actually did. It is definitely worth working towards and boosts your self-esteem substantially. There was just this sense of joy when I could finally touch both ankles. All those hundreds of hours of practice suddenly seem worth the effort!

Mountain, Chair and Triangle pose are included as is a Temple Pose with three lovely variations. There are also some excellent outer hip stretches in this 20-minute routine.

What I love most about this DVD is the aesthetically pleasing environment and the highly creative exercises. The mood of Sara's workouts encourages my full participation and I find them especially enjoyable. Do two of her workouts and then go take a long bath with sea salts and essential oils. Life becomes art...

『I am so excited about Sara's 20 Min.Yoga Makeovers! I own all 5 and use them everyday! I feel that I get a super workout and really enjoy her enthusiasm. She does an excellent job explaining poses and reminds you of your breathing! Because it is such a well-rounded, quick program, I know I can get through it even before I start. This is what keeps me popping in the dvd each morning and evening. The yoga poses are manageable for even the very beginner! I only wish I lived in Santa Monica where she teaches classes...good thing I have the tapes! :-)』

Add me to the list of mildly dissatisfied customers for this product. I was shopping for a video to use to tone my thighs and, since I regularly practice yoga and am fond of yoga in general, I thought I would see what Sara Ivanhoe had to say. I thought she might have some suggestions for exercises or positions I don't usually do in my regular yoga practice. She didn't. If only these moves were necessary to create "sculpted buns and thighs," my buns and thighs would *already* be sculpted because I've been doing warrior poses and whatnot for years. At the same time that I got this video, I also got "Look Great Naked: Thighs," and so far I am far happier with that product than with Ivanhoe's video.

(A gentle yoga practice to get in touch with body and breath)
『I love this gentle yoga practice. It is bare-bones setting, but lovely full body routine to get you ready for your meditation practice (the reason to do yoga). You will really get in touch with body and breath with this practice.

Christa Rypins have a soothing voice and holds the postures for a perfect amount of time. She includes many of my favorite postures that I don't see in a lot of the other videos including a fun version of cat/cow with side to side movements, then round and round. She includes squating with twists, side bending, and one of my favorites Yoga Mudra. Most of the practice is on the floor, but a few standing poses are included.

I love this video and it is a good practice for early morning or before bed time to relax you. Zen and Kripalu Yoga is a wonderful yoga practice and good for any level of expertise.』


(Refreshingly original and effective, relaxing yoga practice)
『I'm so pleased I bought this dvd. After accumulating a number of yoga dvds, after a while they start to feel a bit repetitive (you see the same poses pop up again and again). This one is unique and offers something different to my dvd collection. There are a number of moves here I haven't seen elsewhere, as well as interesting variations of tried and true poses. Christa Rypins is clearly knowledgable, not just as the capable kripalu yoga instructor she is, but also in her background as a former professional ice skater and gymnast. The one downside as mentioned in another review, is the barebones indoor setting - an empty room and bare wall. But I'm excited about how fresh her approach is, and how effective this is at relieving body tension so I can sit on the floor for longer periods of time without my body complaining. I'm also finding I'm more comfortable now at the office sitting for long periods of time. I wouldn't just recommend this to meditators. It's an excellent yoga routine in and of itself, very relaxing with gentle postures done mostly on the floor. I like the flexibility of having two short routines (20-25 mins each) on one dvd. Even when I don't follow it with meditation I'll often reach for this dvd when I just want to do gentle, rejuvenating yoga. This is my first yoga dvd by Christa Rypins, and it certainly won't be my last. I look forward to trying her others.』

『This dvd was exactly what i was looking for.
A yoga practice that is gentle and relaxing (that you can do it day or night) which includes the "body scan" that comes after the yoga excercises,and it s used for a deep relaxation and meditation.
With this dvd i dont have to change discs,it s all in one,that s why i use it all the time.
The instructor is clear,giving you pointers every step of the way,
the poses are wisely chosen,and the body scan towards the end,is very relaxing,although it s a bit quick.
If this dvd,was done in a better setting-it's setting is very simple- and it included a seated meditation practice,after the "yoga nidra"(body scan) it would be perfect.
But still,it s one of the best ,more complete and relaxing yoga dvd s out there,in my opinion.

『This is by far the best postnatal DVD workout that I tried. The DVD is packed with exercises, stretches, informational interviews, and some guided relaxation.

This gave a nice series of workouts from the very first days after birth when I could barely move, to the time period up to several months after birth when I'm finally starting to feel back to my normal self.

This DVD provided excellent stretches, exercises and guides for posture. Also, they provide a nice set of printouts giving suggested workout sequences on one page, and then a whole series of pages writing up the exercises. I found this really handy when life was just too crazy with the new baby and I just wanted to get some exercises/stretches in between the many baby needs and could just take out the printouts and run through them (without needing to turn on the DVD player).

The way Lindsey Jackson explains the stretches and posture techniques is excellent. I actually remember and think about her suggestions as I go about my day (not just when I'm playing the DVD).

I highly recommend this one.』

『Whether you're completely out of shape or simply new to Pilates, Pilates For Moms is a great video for beginners. My only drawback is that I'd like to see the instructions shown in a separate segment instead of during the actual exercises.

That being said, Lindsey does a great job of making this video relaxing and powerful. She makes sure you understand the dos and don'ts of Pilates, how to modify moves, and how to listen to your body.

Yes, it's designed for mothers who've recently had babies, but Session 2 is geared more towards those who've had babies quite awhile ago.

I'm finding the video very helpful for my computer pains: lower back, neck and poor stomach muscles.』
