So it is easy for him to spin and he loves seeing it change colors and he keeps trying to understand why it does. I think it is very successful for him and he is 30 months.』
(The whole family loves this toy) 『I got this toy for my 21 month old and she absolutely loves it. When I first looked at the picture it didn't look like much and I couldn't figure out how the colors were going to "change". Once we got it and used it we saw that the disks of color blend together to create all the colors of the rainbow as it spins. My daughter loved it, both my husband and I thought it was neat and the grandparents fell in love with it too. My father in law actually wanted one himself for "stress relief". The toy has a suction cup that sticks to the floor and so it doesn't fall over as it spins and the handle is pretty easy for a child to learn to pump up and down. It is made of plastic and metal, but the handle is not attached all that well and it only took a couple of tosses by my toddler before the handle fell off. It can be popped back on but it's going to come off again and again. It's probably fairly durable for child that doesn't toss his/her toys, but not for one that does. All in all it is a really neat toy. Fun for the whole family.』
(My Kids keep coming back to it) 『We have had this top for 2 years now. It's been one of the toys my girls consistently pull out to play with. It sounds a bit like a harmonica when they get it going. The handle comes off which makes it easier to store. My children are now 2&4, and it's one of our regular standbys. Both of them seemed to be able to get the hang of it at about age 2. I like that it doesn't have electronic music or voices. It's a good, traditional, fun toy. The only reason I don't give it 5 starts is because there are a few toys out there that are really versatile&stimulate creativity, thinking&extended play. The top can be used as, well...a top. 』

I played this ONCE and said, I Like This Game! I can play this game and get a low score, fully knowing I can do better on the next try. It's great in color. I can recognize the shapes more quickly in color and it takes some practice on this "challenging but very possible to improve game". A couple of days later I had vastly increased my score but still have a long way to go, so the game will last me a long time. The grandkids ( neighbors) came over and all three can play and they are 5, 9 and 12 years old. Amazing how quick kids are these days. The size of the squares are easy to read and lighted well. I am 53 years old but occasionally love a good game. Hand eye coordination, concentration and no slipping thumbs is a great help in winning, too.』

As my daughter has grown, she has played with it infrequently for the past two and a half years. My youngest is now starting to infrequently play with it too. IPhone 3G used's review (Good stuff) 『This paint is thick. My grandson's easel is next to a big white wall, and he's slapping this paint onto the paper with his big paint brush. It doesn't splatter. It washes right off his hands. If they have to paint, this is the paint to use.』
(Great With Melissa&Doug Easel , but Bottles are Very Small) 『I bought these paints for use with the Melissa&Doug Deluxe Standing Easel&Companion Supply Set Bundle. They work just fine with the Melissa and Doug paper rolls, and my only criticism is that these little bottles don't last very long, or are at least not the ideal choice for a toddler who is using big brushes. Each little container might last at most three painting sessions, depending on if you use the paint "full strength" or watered down, and how much you pour into the plastic containers. Unless your child is using smaller brushes or you are unconcerned with how long the little bottles will last, I would recommend purchasing the much larger Blue Poster Paint Bottle and the other colors. These are also washable and 11.2 oz. each, whereas the Crayola paints are 2 oz. each.
Incidentally, I found that both the Crayola and Melissa&Doug paints wash out of clothes just fine as long as you do the following:
1. Run hot water over the stained area of clothing as soon as possible after your child's painting session in order to remove as much paint as possible. 2. Spray a pre-wash stain remover (i.e. Spray 'N Wash) on what's left of the paint stains immediately, rub the stain remover into the spot(s) and let soak in for at least an hour before washing. 3. If at all possible, wash the clothes immediately in hot water (if it won't ruin the fabric), after the stain remover has soaked in.
No guarantees for what I wrote above, but that process worked for me.
All in all, good fun - my son has a blast using these paints.』
(Overall a good idea) 『I would not allow children to wear any good clothing with these paints, however, it is a great pool companion. My daughter paints herself, her friends and the dog and then they all go for a swim. It has not been a problem and I would agree it would cause a problem with laundering the clothes. I wouldn't even want to put it in with the other laundry as it could ruin your entire load, however, people expect too much for 6 bucks. I'm sure it would cost much more to manufacture something that comes out of all clothing. We were able to get a good 10 uses out of the paint before, of course, purple ran out and then the rest of the colors. My friend had a pack with 10 colors, but I have not been able to find it. Anyone know where it is? Oh, I would buy the thinner brushes, this way the paints last longer.』
(Washable Paint!!!) 『When they say washable they mean it! My daughter has managed to get green paint on my oriental rug, leather sofa and of course all over her clothes. Each time I just used a wet cloth and it all came up - even on the oriental rug!』
(Wear a smock!) 『As there is nothing "washable" about these paints. I just bleached a white outfit that has red splotches all over it from them, to no avail. It's ruined. But after great success with it, I bought tons of the large tubs at Michaels (yes, they do carry it) and returned it all when it was disastrously sticky. Except for totally dried out tubs that came with the robot kit, I haven't had a problem with the smaller size. Floam should be SLIGHTLY sticky but not stick to your hands at all, though you need to keep it away from clothes and rugs. Kids can't stop kneading and playing with it, it has such a fantastic feel, and it's wonderful for teaching color combinations. Along with a few styrofoam shapes and other materials, Floam is an excellent medium for kids' creative expression. Just be prepared to return unworkable batches.』

1. Everytime you use it you have to mix it. The first time you open the package its gel and beads on separate sides. 2. This will not stick to anything! It falls off right away! 3. It is not durable at all! If you get a tiny drop of water in it or leave it in the sun for 5 seconds it will be ruined. We all know kids do all of these things. Sure the comericals look great but get something more fun and longer lasting for your child.』
(SO-SO product) 『I finally broke down and purchased this product for my son. It was a huge disappointment. It was so sticky we couldn't even touch it without getting it all over us. Not to mention that we had to SCRUB to get it all off. I felt so ripped off I went to the "floam" website and complained. I was very surprised to get a reply and apology. I was told that I purchased part of a bad batch and was asked if I would like a refund or a replacement. I asked for a replacement. The new tub is fun to play with and not very sticky at all, occasionally I have to get a few bits of slime off. I, however, do not think it's good value. I think I will try the recipe I found on-line. I think that would be more cost effective not to mention educational. I do commend the company on their good customer service.』
(I don't understand all the complaints.) 『We bought a four pack of floam from the TV commercial and it lasted about a year before it got dried out. It was for my 8 year old son and he loves it. His older and younger brothers love it, too, as well as friends that come over. I know it is hard to get out of carpet, but we use it on the dining room table and it was not messy. It's about as messy as play-doh. It gets on your hands a little bit. We got it out today and discovered it has become pretty dry so we put just a little water in each color and it took shape again. Ours never came apart into tiny pieces, either. Play-doh is more flexible, but this is fun, too!』
