I believe this is the marketing angle. With that in mind: The soft sticks crumble when they are colored with. For young children who may turn them up too far, they break off in larger chunks as well. The Color Wonder colors do not appear as soon as the product is applied to the paper. There is a bit of a delay which ended with my child scribbling harder which caused more crumbling. The material the soft sticks are made out of is somewhat greasy. Although they may not mark some surfaces, I still don't want this greasy material mashed into my sofa.
My daughter does enjoy playing with this product but I don't enjoy the mess. So if you are looking for a mess free way for your young child to color, I don't believe this product will satisfy.』
(Not one of their best products) 『First, I'd like to say we love the color wonder markers and the fingerpaint. This product has the soft sticks that are almost like the waxy finger paints in a stick form. Think of your child using a chapstick to draw with and you'll get the idea. We purchased two of these for our 5 year and 2.5 year olds. From the minute they opened it, the waxy "paint" part of the sticks were breaking off. It became almost impossible to draw with these sticks and my children were very disappointed with them. They did love the coloring books that came with this kit and went on to use the books with the color wonder MARKERS (which I highly recommend.) That said, it's too pricey for just the book and a shame the sticks don't work better. Please save your money on this one and go for the Color Wonder Markers or Fingerpaints instead.』

IPhone 3G used's review (Great for home games) 『Been using these cards for a few months now and they are great for home games. Good durability, good feel, and 4 colors, too. The colors are slightly washed out, as others have stated, but it's not a problem at all and is probably due to the manufacturing process. The case is nice and sturdy, and the cards are close to perfect. My only complaint is that these decks do not come with a plastic cut card! Throw in a couple cut cards, and I'd give it 5 stars.』

If you have friends who are constantly spilling beer or soda on your card table, and you're constantly buying replacement cards for those cheap plastic coated cardboard ones, worry no more. If you have friends who constantly look at their cards by pulling up the corners and it eventually "marks" the card by continued use, then fret no more. These are the cards for you. The 100% plastic construction easily wipes clean of all dirt and liquids (assuming you clean them right away, otherwise some mild scrubbing will be involved). Plus, the resiliency of the 100% plastic keeps the shape for a long time and continued abuse (I've had mine for over a year and have a poker game that last about 8 to 10 hours every Friday night and they look as new as the day I've got them with the exception of the paint will only slightly fade if you are playing with people who constantly "warm up" their cards - i.e. rub them very fast face down for good luck). Also, the four color deck is great for beginners and old pros alike (there is no chance for someone to say they missed a flush or a flush draw because every suit has it's own color). Great for home games, I wish casinos would implement these cards, but I don't think they will because they often profit from mistakes that cause the rake to go up.』

(I little washed out looking) 『I like these cards, but they do have one major problem. Brand new, they look like they've been through the washing machine. The colors are very faded looking. I really like the fact that they are four color, but in low light levels the faded print creates problems. The faded colors also just give the cards an old look, like they have been played too much and need to be retired.
If you can get over that part, these cards have a really nice feel, they shuffle well, and they slide over the felt perfectly. You can also wash them with soap and water if they get dirty. He is a 'collector,' so loves to see the different kinds of balls, how they transform, and trade them with friends. He has previously been into Thomas the Tank Engine, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, and this is his current passion. My 5-year-old daughter also loves playing with them. They are expensive and pretty cheap/fragile, but very popular. We have had trouble buying them at our local stores (recently sold out at Target and Toys-R-Us).』

(Bakugan-Mania) 『MODERN DAY GAME OF MARBLES
The Bakugan-Mania is here. I had no idea what my daughter was talking about since she spoke a mile-a-minute about what the latest craze in children's toys. These items are in extremely high demand and are similar in genre to Pokemon cards, Yu-Gi-Yo, and Digimon. The characters appear to be a spin off from Japanese anime, in my perception.
What are Bakugan?
They are action figures that are morphed from small plastic marbles, based upon a television show on the Cartoon Network. Each figure comes with a metallic card that has a point value. A point value is also imprinted on the figure.
A magnetic lock in the toy is triggered to open when the figure is placed onto a metallic game card.
How do you play the game?
Each player starts out with 3 Bakugan and 3 cards. Only one care can be a special ability card. The youngest player starts. Depending upon how many players are participating (2-4), determines where the cards are placed in the arena. When a Bakugan is rolled and lands on a card, it opens.
If the Bakugan does not open, the player loses a turn.
If 2 figures land on the same card, a point total is taken to count up the power value of the Bakugan + the value of the card. The higher sum wins the card and the figure. At the end of the round, the highest total of points wins the game.
My daughter's after-school care has an Bakugan Class where children play in the afternoon. She is 7 years old but her friends who have it range from 6 to 10 years old.
This game represents a unique and revolutionary spin on the game of playing marbles. It is quite creative and superficially complex to play. However, many children are compelled to play it all over the country.
Educational value
Strangely, enough, this toy has an ACTUAL educational value by requiring the players to add up or subtract the values of each figure/card.
Safety and Caveats
Since these are essentially small marbles, caution should be exercised if you child has small siblings who may try to swallow this toy. It is too big to fit into someone's ear or nose; however the danger is accidentally swallowing it or aspiration (going into the child's airway). You should also be aware if you have pets since it may lead to a dangerous bowel obstruction if ingested/eaten by your pet.
Durability
These are relatively fragile items that require users to be careful with the moving parts. Sometimes, the mechanisms are defected or through wear and tear may not allow the action figure to open or close.
Conclusion This toy system is, for now, one of the hottest items in the toy world. Being unfamiliar with the TV show, we felt a little lost at first in the world of Bakugan. But with the help of the colorful, animated Bakugan Web site, we got the gist of what the game is about and how to play. Our attempts to fire the launcher proved somewhat difficult and instructions would have helped. But the launcher isn't necessary. Kids can simply roll the Bakugan like marbles for a fun and action-packed game with their friends.

We don't buy tons of toys for our kids, but this one I thought: they will use these and will like them for a long time. So we bought them and we leave them out. They are fun to just fiddle with as you talk on the phone, and the kids are always using them to build structures, roads for cars, or just for making designs with. The one small drawback to them is that you cannot step on them or they will crack, thus my 4-star rating for durability.』

They were waiting their turn to play with the Magna-Tiles. We got to test them out for a few minutes, but my boys just loved them. We got them for our youngest's 4th birthday and he hasn't stopped playing with them. Both boys use their imaginations to make castles, parking garages, and all sorts of cool things! (This Toy is a Keeper!) 『I bought a 48 pc. set for my 3 year old five years ago. Since then we have purchased two more sets. My 8 year old still plays with them. At first, my children weren't sure how to use them, but I sat down to show them some basics and within five minutes they were busy building. The longer they have had them, the more things they learn to make with them. My 8 year old girl enjoys making shapes and all sorts of different objects. My 6 year old neice loves to build "houses" for her animals. My 5 year old son makes ramps, roadways and garages for his cars. All three of them do all sorts of other things with them; those are just some of their favorites --to give you an idea of the varied possibilities. Our 10 year old neighbor loves to play with them as well. This toy spans a large age group. Magnatiles are very safe. I also have a smaller child, and I am not worried if any of the pieces get left out; they are too big to swallow and there are no sharp or unsafe pieces. Children love to build things and Magnatiles are an easy beginning for even the youngest builder. The magnets are strong enough to cling together well even if you get "close enough". I have had my tiles for five years, and I have never had one to break. They seem to be a sturdy, reliable, fun, educational toy. I plan to keep mine even after my children out grow them. They are a great toy to have around for children of our guests. Since you can't just run down to Wal-Mart to buy this toy no one else I know has them, so when visitors come over they enjoy playing with this "new" toy. I recommend the clear ones; the children like to see the animals and cars that they have put inside. I also recommend the biggest set (110 pcs) because it is the best value, plus your children will be able to build bigger and better with more pieces. We started with a 48 pc. set and it was big enough for our young ones to build and play with. As they grew, so did their desire for more tiles to make more things! As a note: I can never find these used on ebay, so people must not be getting rid of them! They love them, too, I guess.』
