(Love these pencils, love the under $20 price too) 『I've tried the regular Prismacolors and Crayolas. The Verithins are the best for cartooning or illustrating which is my primary use for them. Considering the others are less quality for higher price, these are the best deal out there. I buy the 36 packs by the half dozen (for real!) and give them away to my neices and nephews and any other young friend interested in drawing and coloring.
Since all the good stores are selling these for under $20 for the 36 count box, its a great way to get a lot of good colors for not a lot of money. Why Toyzzz thinks they can get $50 is beyond me, they are everywhere for under $20.
They look best on smooth paper but even sketch paper looks pretty good.
The fold over box is a nice addition too and makes them easy to work with.

I have another three-year-old (soon to be four). He uses this toy in a totally different way. He sorts by shape, sets out the different foam pieces and pegs on the floor and plays with them just as pieces, fills his little basket with them and walks around the house like Little Red Riding Hood, and generally loves them.
I must say that I love all products by Lauri. We have some lacing/tracing toys and some puzzles as well. They have helped both my toddlers with their fine motor skills more than any other toys they own. The foam pieces stand up well, as long as your kids are past the choking/chewing age. Also, Lauri Toys will replace lost or chewed on pieces!
The only reason I give this item 4 stars and not 5 is that our pegs get lost very easily due to my younger toddler's throwing habit. If a peg is missing, the puzzle isn't nearly as much fun. I understand that the peg/foam pad was developed to go with Lauri's other peg systems, so it wouldn't be a big deal if we had other pegs from Lauri, but we don't.』

My kids and I were laughing so much watching the color fizz out into the tub! I have a 3&2 year old. The color is very nice and dark so they adored sitting in the blue water. Even as dark as it was it didn't stain anything, which is always a nice bonus lol. We then had fun and added a red one and my oldest loved sitting in the purple water. She usually is the one to want to get out asap but with the water color capturing her attention she was the one that fought to stay in :) Also if you have a kid who freaks out if she sees little flecks of stuff in the water this is great for that. (Very VERY greasy for the little ones) 『We bought this set for my 2 1/2 yr old daughter last summer to take with us on a trip. We were staying in a vacation rental and wanted to make sure she didn't accidentally color something other than paper. They worked well for that purpose, but because of her age she tended to take more paint on her finger than the manufacturer I'm sure intended. I believe you are supposed to simply rub the paint on your finger and apply that on your paper. 2 1/2 yr olds unfortunately are not quite capable of that much control over their fingers. Actually, since the paint feels a bit like butter, she couldn't help but want to investigate this cool texture and glob it on the paper. The result was a very greasy mess. Once on your fridge, the artwork gets even greasier as it "ages" (the grease spreads out and the colors fade a bit). I ended up throwing the whole thing away --way too much work and too messy for me. I believe this might work much better for an older child (say older than 3 1/2 or 4)』

Fast, Easy Set-Up The only set-up required is to install three AA batteries. Opening the battery compartment requires a small Phillips head screw driver, which means an adult needs to change the batteries. This keeps batteries in the right place during active play, but it also means that changing batteries on the fly requires you to have a screwdriver with you.
The manual is clear and concise, with descriptions of how to play and a list of all the special commands the Hyper Voice issues, so any child can be up and running in just a few minutes. There's no button to turn the unit off, but it quickly shuts itself off when not in use to save battery life.
Getting Moving Quickly The electronic tagger plays upbeat music and calls out voice commands to control the game, while players following the commands race against the clock to tag targets identified by color and number. Kids can play solo, up to four players can compete head-to-head, or up to eight players can work cooperatively in teams of two. There's even a level where kids need to solve addition and subtraction problems to figure out which target to strike next.

RFID Technology for a Flexible, Durable Game Hyper Dash uses radio frequency identification (RFID) to recognize the targets. The same technology is used to track packages and to identify books and DVDs in many libraries. While the Hyper Dash tagger unit seems incredibly durable, it is made of plastic. Just because RFID technology means kids can tag targets lightly, it doesn't mean they will. Our one concern about the game is the possibility that hard play will damage the tagger over time.
