After reading the reviews, I was really worried and decided to put it together and try it out before Christmas morning. This is going to be his big Santa gift. I liked the fact that it was ready to go straight out of the box. He loved the music, all the animals and the signs that it comes with. My only problem is like many others is the design flaw. He has to sit on the tracks to play with it and it only comes with one train car. He has no problem with that though. This toy will probably not hold his attention in the long run, but was worth the clearance price. If you looking for a real good train set, I would steer clear. If you little one likes music, animals, and pressing buttons this would be a good starter set. It does come with a storage bag to put the 25 animals and different signs.』

(Poorly designed) 『Like many other reviewers, I have a problem with the design of the track. My son has to sit on the track to play with the station part of the toy. So when he puts the peacock on the station, instead of saying "I'm a peacock," you hear 1,000 other noises because he's sitting on the track pressing buttons with his butt so that he can reach. Other than that major flaw, I don't like that it has a million pieces to keep track of and clean up. My son doesn't play with them he just throws them around the whole room. Also, he gets tired of this toy very quickly. You don't need this toy. Go with something else.』

(A Ragdoll Pony...) 『This is a very cute plush pony. It is kind of like a ragdoll version of a My Little Pony, with the way its hair is made and the patchwork look of the horse. It's very floppy, a nice size for bedtime and much more cuddly than the plastic ponies (which are great for daytime play but not exactly snuggly). Its cute and different enough to be noticed from other pony products. Bought one for each of my daughters (one like this, Cherilee, and the other a Pinkie Pie), and they adore them.』

I love that it can be used attached to the wedge (and be positioned at various angles), strapped onto just about anywhere, or it is large and lightweight enough for babies to hold and manipulate ( around 5-6 months). My son also loves the wedge alone as much as the mirror. Starting around 5 months he loved grabbing, wrestling, and checking out the different fabric sides of the wedge. Ours is an older version with different fabrics, but the same overall design. A great toy for every baby!』

(Great Mirror.) 『This is probably the best baby mirror I have seen. It's portable, light weight, and easy to clean. This is a two-in-one mirror. It can attach to the crib, which is where our's is primarily. Or you can keep it fastened to the wedge and baby can use it for entertainment during tummy time. What's great about this mirror is that it's just a mirror. Not a bunch of toys to distract from the real purpose of the mirror: for baby to see himself! Baby will also love it's bright colors and patterns that all Lamaze products are known for. What's nice about putting this mirror up in the crib is that you'll get a little more sleep. Our boy wakes up and goes straight for the mirror and plays by himself for a good half an hour to an hour. When our boy was a newborn he did not like tummy time until we placed this mirror in front of him. He thought it was hilarious that he could watch himself get close and far away from the mirror. However, we didn't want the entire living room taken up by a monster play pen, so we didn't buy any extensions. When our son got too big to spend any significant amount of time in "baby jail", we just separated one of the sections and put it up in front of the large opening between the living room and the dining room/kitchen. It is exactly as if we had bought one of the $$$$ custom-fit baby gates for large openings - but it has a play center, too! Last Christmas was a success because we could surround the tree with the (opened) fence, making it impossible for the baby to grab any ornaments/lights/presents. We've found numerous uses for this wonderful play pen, and we recommend it to anyone who needs to block an area off temporarily.』

The busy little items on there had his attention and he even cried when we took him out! By the 3rd week, he started getting bored with it and realized that when he pushed it hard enough (and all around), it came apart and he could 'escape'. We then tried tying yarn at the ends to keep it together, but he quickly learned that he could get out by lifting it up and over his head! Now mind you, he's not in the yard long, perhaps only an hour a day (if that long)! So, if your child is laid-back and not as curious, this yard may do well for them and you. But, if you child is very curious and an explorer, it won't take them long to figure their way out. With all that said and done, I would still recommend it. I think it would probably work better for children under a year and/or before walking.』
