『I found this at my local toy store and i immediately knew my kids had to have it. Though the product says for 3 and up this can be played with by children as young as 18M. The product has a bear stretching his arms out and on each arm are various basic skills your child can practice, all in one spot! there's learning to lace and tie(like tying a shoe), learning how to button, use a snap(like on pants), then learning to use those snaps like on a fanny pack or backpack, zip up a shirt, and use a belt. i think this toy is adorable and can really teach kids in a fun way the basic skills they need to know.』

(How can you beat an Indy Smirk?)
『It's not educational, but it's extremely novel.

It's a Mr. Potato Head, so I don't think I need to explain about the way you can change his appearance, so let's skip that.

It doesn't come with a ton of extra pieces. Pretty much what you see is what you get - you get a different mouth and that's it. Of course, that's not the point of this particular potato - this is definitely more of a novelty item than your standard Potato Head.

The coolness is in all of the Indy-related stuff. They call the mouth you see in the photos an "Indy Smirk Mouth." There's a whip accessory you can place in the left hand. The right hand holds a golden idol. (The golden idol is molded to the hand - it isn't detachable.) If you push his hat down quickly, he plays a few seconds of the Indy theme; if you push his hat down for a couple of seconds, he'll play the whole theme. His coat is made of a thin colored cloth and can be removed if you take his arms off.

All in all, I like it quite a bit. It's not something I'd hand a toddler because I'm not sure how durable the hat is and I'm sure the coat could be pretty easily destroyed. It's not going to teach anyone anything but how the Indy theme goes, but then, the point isn't education on this one. I've got it on my desk at work and love it, and several people around here have commented on how cool it is, too.

If you're an Indy fan, it's totally worth it.』

『It seems very cute and this is the first potato head I know of that plays music. It does a snippet of the theme song when you push his hat down. As with all potato heads, it does seem to be most fun for my kid when he can mix and match with everything else (Mrs. Potato Head combined with Darth Tater Potato Head combined with Indiana Jones Potato Head combined with Frankenstein... etc, etc you get the idea.)

『I ordered this item for my grandson for Christmas. I haven't opened it yet, but it appears to be of GREAT quality. My only concern is that if you too order it for Christmas, BEWARE. It didn't come with any wrapping, just clear packaging that shows what the product is and a shipping label. Luckily, Andrew lives 1200 miles away and the surprise was not be spoiled.』

『Our 5 year old just received this for his birthday and he wants nothing more than to play with it nonstop. He has used both his Pixar Cars diecast cars as well as his Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars on it. Although the Pixar character cars don't fit exactly within the lanes this doesn't bother him at all.

As picky parents, his dad and I thought the graphics could have been a bit better--there are a couple of places where one lane of the two land road narrows noticeably and it too narrow even for a Hot Wheel to not go over the center line. We also thought the actual road layout was a bit dodgey and could have been thought out better. Details like this don't detract from the play value, but they don't enhance the educational value.

On a positive note, I will say that this rug exceeded my expectations in two areas. First, the carpet is soft and supple. I was very pleased that it rolled out and stayed flat instead of suffering from carpet curl at the ends as I feared it would and like so many cheap and stiff runner carpets will. It is a runner size, long and narrow and our five year old can unroll it and lay it out by himself (a real plus!). Second, I expected that the carpet would smell, I have had unpleasant experiences in the past with chemical odors eminating from the backing material of carpets. There was none of that here. The carpet was absolutely benign in this regard straight out of the wrap. What a relief.

It is hard to say how durable the carpet will be, but it certainly seems sturdy. If we can keep the cat off of it and dirty shoes it should stay nice for a long time.

Overall, I am very happy with this carpet and with how much our son seems to be enjoying it.』

This "rug" now gives him a purpose and he really enjoys it: parking the cars, obeying traffic lights, stopping for pizza, visiting friend's house, etc. When he's finished playing after a while, his parents just roll it up and put it away. The colors seem bright and the product appears well made. The variety of places to go that are printed on the rug is very good for his age.』

(Frustrating for a six year old)
『I bought this doll for my grand neice who just turned six. The doll started out o.k. but whenever she asks "Where's momma?" before you have a chance to respond she cuts in with "oopsie you can say Mommie's here" When she cries, you have to wait until she stops before you can say the one word phrase that is supposed to find out what's wrong but the doll says "no" and begins to cry again and before you can say another word, she starts with the seven words all over again. After the second try if my g-niece still didn't get it, the doll would start this baby jibberish. This was also true with the games, after playing two guesses the doll started with baby talk and you had to press her "bracelet" to get her back on track. After an hour my niece had more "user friendly" dolls to play with and although she hasn't given up on the doll, I think it could be a little quicker with the learning process so there would actually be more time to play with her.』

『I bought this doll for my daughter at the end of December. We finally gave it to her last week. She has sat on a shelf, up high, until we had the chance to play with her together. Today we sat down to "learn" McKayla. The first thing I noticed was an extremely loud "hummmmm" (buzzing noise) coming from the doll, in her tummy area. The doll will talk and ask to say her name, but no matter who said her name, she couldn't "hear" us. My daughter tried and I tried several times, to no avail. She just kept saying she couldn't hear us. I am very frustrated with my purchase. It's worthless! I've turned her on and off, nothing. I've pushed and held the reset button while turning it off and then back on again, waiting for her to open her eyes. Nothing changes. I unfortunately tossed the box when my daughter opened her gift, and now I have no way of returning the doll. Beware, buyers.』

We have 4 games so far and the pouch holds all of them with room for at least 2 more, I'd say. The game system fits easily into the main compartment and zips closed. Its compact, lightweight, durable and the perfect size for my five year old to manage.』

All in all, Amazing McKayla has seven distinct cries, and like all new moms, your little girl will have to discern between her sick cry vs. her tired cry vs. her hungry cry and so on.
