(Silly circus Jack in The Box)
『I purchased this toy for my childs first birthday. She loves to see the colorful animals on the side and to hear it play when you wind it up and jack jumps up. It is fairly well made and durable. The jack is a little hard to get back down inside to close the top, so a parent will have to help little ones with this toy. This is the type of toy that you sit on a shelf and only allow the child to play with it, while being supervised, because I do not think it would hold up to rough play and being dropped on the floor a lot. My older children also find it neat to play with as well.

『This is actually a pretty decent toy, however, it is currently too difficult for my just-turned-three year olds. The 'computer' asks them to identify shapes and colors, but then expects them to spell words. They are not even using the learning cards anymore, but just turn it on to press the letters on the keyboard. I'm sure they will grow into it, but it is a little disappointing that it is too challenging for them to enjoy now, even with my assistance.』

『We bought this as a Christmas present for our 2 year old so she would leave us alone while we worked on our laptops. She loves changing out the activity cards, but that's about the extent of which she utilizes it. It is definitely for an older child which we knew when purchasing it. Pooh says things such as "what does the word 'balloon' start with?"which is way past her. But, we are working on identifying letters and numbers with her, so it is useful in that sense. Hopefully she will continue to use it as her knowledge of letters and spelling grows! The storage compartment for the cards is a little hard to open - handy but difficult.』

『I bought Earnie for my 16 Month old Daughter for Xmas 2007. She wanted nothing to do with him because I guess he was scary and noisy but now she is a year older and loves him so much that she takes him everywhere. It is a good and durable toy and I'm going to get the Cookie Monster this year for her. She also has the TMX Elmo and Baby Elmo as well.

During the tickle test, it became easy to see why the T.M.X. friends are in such demand. When kids tickle Ernie's belly, he falls backwards, then lies down and spins in a circle. True to character, he is full of fun phrases including, "I think I need a rubber ducky." Once the laughing spell is over, he even thanks the tickler, saying, "I really needed that." The doll moves best on a hard, flat surface and struggles a little when placed on carpet. But that was the only minor setback discovered during the hands-on testing process. Overall, T.M.X. Ernie makes a great toy for its target age range. Even adults will crack a smile as Ernie shakes and spins with laughter.

『My 2 year old loves this microphone. I got one for $.50 at a yard sale and it's been a hit. The only problem is that I think the part that keeps the batteries snug so they work has gotten loose and the microphone sometimes doesn't work. So I decided to get her another one since she loves it so much. I couldn't believe how much these stores on Amazon are charging for it. How crazy! I just found it at Target for $8.99!!!!!!! Shop around!』

『I was very confused reading the reviews (doesn't amplify) and the product description ("really works" "amplifies"), so here's the scoop:
When you press the green star, it works like a microphone, it amplifies. When you push the yellow record button, it amplies as the kid records his voice. When you use the music button, however, the music plays through the speaker and therefore it can't amplify the kids voice also. Doesn't seem to bother my kids.
Regardless, the best part of this microphone for my son (4) is that it records his&plays his voice with the easy push of two buttons. That's what he uses it for all day long and loves it. It is quite pricey and doesn't look like an expensive toy, so I'm not sure about giving it as a present, but it's a great buy for your own kids.』

(Toy is fantastic, but this price seems high)
『I bought this for my son a year ago, when he was about 2. He loves it! He does a cute little "rocker" dance and sings skip to my lou. He's taken it to his school, and his friends (up to age 6) love it, too.

I like that:
-It doesn't amplify. I know that's a sticking point for some, but I think the less noise, the better. The kids don't seem to care. Also, the overall volume of the mic is appropriate for kids, not too loud.
-It records. This is a cute feature, and very novel for the kids.
-It isn't "commercial." I was looking for another one of these mics at Target for one of his friends for her birthday since she loves to play with his - couldn't find it, could only find Hannah Montana and other licensed stuff. I prefer to keep the expensive licensing stuff out of our lives for as long as I can (realistically, I know it isn't long - but I'm enjoying it while it lasts).
-The songs can be slowed or sped up - good for younger kids still learning the words, and fast is good for older kids goofing around (includes Skip to My Lou, If You're Happy and You Know It, London Bridge, and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes).
-Buttons easy for kids to use, batteries seem to last.

    『I used this product in our day care program over the summer with children ages 4-12. They all loved it. It probably got more use than it is intended for. There were several occassions where two older children used it to lounge in at the same time to play video games. A video game adapter is how it got its first hole in the inside. This part did patch, but it never did stay inflated for long periods of time. It got a leak in the two upper rings from the younger children laying on the sides. That said, it lasted for almost 2 months with no holes in it- being played with almost constantly by 10-15 children a day (M-F). After I took it down I set it up at my house for my nephews to hold balls, I only deflated it because it took up almost all of their play room.

    This makes an awesome ball pit, because the balls do not escape as easily as they do from low sided ball pits. It takes a lot of balls to fill it up. A good estimate is 750-1000 depending on the ball size.』
