『My wife bought this zebra for our daughter when she was about 14 months old. At that time she really liked it but didn't play on it much she just liked the music and lights. She finally started riding it when she was a little older and loves to ride it. Now that she is almost three we gave it to a friend for his son and he just loves it to death! He is on it all day long. It is very durable and so far has gone through two rough and tumble kids and is still going strong! I would recommend this for any parent that wants to make their child a happy camper!』

By the time she was near 17 months, she had learned ALL of her letters because of this. If I ask her for a letter she goes and gets the right one. If I show her one, she can name it. 『Its chutes and ladders, it should be simple fun. You spin the spinner move your spaces, hit a ladder, go up, hit a chute, come down. There are a lot of fun pictures on the game board, however, it makes it hard to see the numbers, or the directional arrows.

As this game is supposed to be for the super young this becomes a big frustration. The standee pieces are cardboard which is fine but after playing a few games the bottoms or our characters are fraying.

They made it cheap to be affordable, so you get what you pay for here.』

She's a character I never heard of before purchasing it, but every kid I showed it to knew Dora the Explorer. Yes, I agree with another reviewer, the pieces are not very durable. Neither is the board for that matter but you get what you pay for and this happens to be one of the cheapest games around. Every child I played it with liked it which is an important indicator of its worth.』

There are also several pictures demonstrating good vs. bad behaviors, not all of which are simple enough to explain to a 3 year old. The pieces of the game are of sturdy cardboard but not indestructable to a toddler. The graphics are very colorful but very busy, and personally, I do not like children's heads in the shape of footballs. Don't forget to hold down the spinner or it will whip out of place and knock all the pieces down. Lastly if you're an adult playing with your child, be prepared to play for a marathon 15 minutes (unlike most preschool toys that are finished in 5 minutes) because of those troublesome chutes.』

『This is a wonderful Tag book for the Cars lover. My 4-year-old received the Tag system and this book for his birthday in July. He absolutely loves it!

He's read it so much that as soon as he turns the page, he shouts out "Frank's coming!" or makes the sound effects of the characters. He tells me what's happening before even putting the pen to the book now. And I can see improvement by hooking the pen up to my computer - it tells you which questions he answered correctly and how long he's read the book.

My son loves everything Cars, so this was a great fit.

I would suggest having a talk with your child about how to treat books before leaving him/her alone to play. We did have one casualty - a ripped page. But now I've talked to my son about how to care for books and I'm hoping the rest of the pages stay in tact.

I would definitely recommend this book if you have the Tag Reader system.』

『This toy is really cute! My kids (3 and 5) love it. My husband had no problems putting it together (besides the fact the kids were bugging him at the time)and it seems pretty durable to me. I did test it by half jiggling the bridge and the side came off but that was easy to put back. But it's not coming off with normal play. I love how the bridge drops down and the train comes through the waterfall. It would be cool to have real water but that would be very messy.』

Before the fun begins, Thomas and his friends will have to wait for the railroad to be assembled. Detailed instructions with clear illustrations make building the track through Action Canyon an easy task. It does take a few minutes to sort out all the pieces and get a feeling for how their plastic connectors snap together. Once the bridge and the mountainous waterfall are in place, you need to place a single AA battery (not included) inside Thomas, so he can power uphill.

A Dramatic, Dynamic World
Be careful! One light tap on a secret button might cause the old rickety bridge to collapse right under Thomas. This colorful, sturdy track that runs through the unpredictable canyon is a great setting for imaginative play. Little engineers will love the switch that lets them pick whether Thomas busts through the waterfall or continues to the top of the mountain and on toward a daring descent.

Kids who have seen The Great Discovery or ardent fans of the Thomas and Friends TV show will love that they can immediately start recreating adventures, like the discovery of a long lost town on the island of Sodor, but familiarity with these existing storylines isn't essential. Any imaginative child will be able to enjoy a day at Action Canyon.

A Growing Circle of Friends
If climbing up a steep pass and zipping through a narrow passageway isn't exciting enough, Action Canyon can be combined with other TrackMaster sets to create a humongous world for Thomas to explore. Adding exciting, new destinations, additional engines, railcars, and trucks to liven up the secluded canyon is sure to make this set way more fun for multiple kids to play with.

The fact that Thomas only requires a single AA battery to run is convenient and economical, but he does labor a little bit on the steeper portions of track, which makes us wonder how he would fair pulling a heavy load. This seems a small concern compared with the potential of surrounding him and the Action Canyon with fun-loving friends and constantly evolving stories.

『This was a gift for our two year old daughter. She is now three, and the house still stands! Its cloth walls are very nice, but there are a couple of issues. First, the house is in two pieces. This is very nice to make it more compact when not in use, but when my daughter is playing, there is nothing to keep it together - velcro would be nice to have on the floor of the cottage to attach the two halves together. Second, the door is made to have a top half and bottom half - not the greatest idea, my daughter just needs one door piece to open and close, not two separate pieces.
On a good note, the frame is pretty sturdy - one day my daughters decided to flip the halves to the side and make them into boats! Again, velcro attaching the two house halves together may have prevented this, but the frame stayed together and the house still stands!』

『I bought the cottage for my 2 year old daughter. Little did I know that it would be such a big hit, even with my 6 year old!! Although it took almost 1 hour and 45 min to put together, it was well worth it. The metal frame was not difficult to put together, but we did have to bang it on the floor and apply a lot of pressure to get the pieces to fit tightly with the plastic conectors. The most difficult and time consuming part was fitting the canvas over the frames. The girls couldn't wait to get into it, so much so that they were playing with it while we were still trying to put the second half together. The first night that we got it the girls spent and hour and a half playing together, without fighting. Such a great toy that fosters imagination, creativity, and independent play. We bought the sink to go with the stove and this too was a big hit. We did not buy the nursery set because we have the Bitty Baby crib from American Girl that fits nicely in the house, although it does not leave much room for the Bitty changing table when the house is closed. My girls have spent countless hours playing house, tea party, and their favorite game baby and we have only had the cottage for about a week. Super great purchase that I would highly recommend to anyone with a little girl in their life.』

The one sold in Britain from places like the Early Learning Center, is at least 3 inches bigger all around and also has a much cuter look to it with the little peak above the door. Of course, to buy in dollars rather than pounds, would cost the earth so I'll probably settle with the American version. Just disappointed that it had to be made much cheaper in look and dimension.』

Charming Playhouse Features Delightfully Pretty Touches
The Cottage consists of two open halves, each measuring approximately 37-by-18-by-42 inches (LxDxH), with the collapsible chimney adding about eight inches to the height. It's constructed with two lightweight plastic and metal frames, snugly fitted with a nylon exterior that meets the flammability requirements of CPAI-84. The included toy stove has plastic and fiberboard construction.

All of the components require adult assembly. It took us about 1-1/2 hours to complete the job, and although no tools are required, you'll need a little bit of muscle to push the metal posts into the plastic connector pieces to construct the frames. After completing the frames, you next slide the nylon exterior on, which, as we discovered, requires a extra dose of patience. Since it's a tight fit, be careful! The fabric can snag and tear on the metal frame if you pull too hard or too quickly.

Yes, it takes some time and effort to assemble -- but it's well worth it. The Rose Petal Cottage is completely charming. Its cheerily printed exterior sports pretty pastel colors and old-fashioned roses, shutters and shingled-roof details, and a pink, vented chimney. Lace edges the roof and real curtains adorn the mesh-covered windows. The blue, Dutch-style door has a working mail slot, and it secures with two magnetic clasps.

We were delighted with the Cottage's many configuration possibilities: set the two sides apart from each other in any position that's convenient for your home, and your child can play in an "open" space. Push them together in a closed, "one-room" configuration, and your child can enter and exit through the door. Vents in the chimney and the mesh-covered windows ensure good air circulation. She will love having a private place to play and imagine. Two small children can fit easily inside, with room for other toys. And when your child is finished playing, you can slide one side into the other for space-saving storage.

The Cottage benefits parents, too: it's less expensive than other child-size houses on the market, plus it stores compactly and, with its lightweight build, is a cinch to move around.
