This doll has a sweet face, with vivid eyes, and doesn't look contrived or anime-inspired, like a lot of dolls available. It's blessedly free of sound chips, motion sensors, batteries, and the worry that at some point, you're going to have to tell your child her beloved doll has suffered severe cardiac arrest from battery corrosion and has to be thrown out.
Best of all, it's solidly constructed and due to the water inside, fairly heavy feeling. The interior is composed of a special liner which inhibits or prevents mold growth, and I'm pretty sure it's pthalate free (wouldn't have bought it otherwise). The doll also comes with a small story booklet that emphasizes sharing and other people's feelings.
It's my little girl's favorite doll, and she especially loves that she can take her baby in the shower or pool and not worry. (Pleasant Game) 『All the reviews I read here warned me of the low-quality of this game as far as learning goes, but encouraged me to get it if my child is obsessed with Dora. Since she is, I did get it, and I have been pleasantly surprised.
I was very surprised to discover that the non L-Max Dora game works with the L-Max, not only in handheld mode, but also when connected to the T.V.. A very happy thing indeed.
Not only does the dora game reinforce the basic Spanish language skills taught in the T.V. show, it expands on them a bit, adding nicely to the SSL vocabulary. The basic educational tasks are very young and immature for the average student, and my 6yo played all of the games on it, completing all of the tasks within a week of intermittent play. Only issue is the side curtain walls (not the red curtains on front) are secured with dowels on the base of the unit and if you bump the curtain the dowels are always popping out so we will need to glue them in.』

(Frustrating case!) 『My daughter received this case as a birthday present for her 5th birthday and just loved it. She is ALWAYS writing, coloring or painting, and this case had it all in one organized place, which we were both thrilled about (myself more than her). After about 2 or 3 uses, the cases (the black plastic ones inside) both fall out every time she opens or closes it, along with 6 or 7 markers, pencils and crayons. She then has to spend 10 minutes trying to clean up and put it back together. It's very frustrating to deal with because they are so cheap and flimsy.
The art supplies themselves are wonderful - Crayola has great quality products, but the inside black cases just make it not worth it. I'm looking for something different for her now that won't have her supplies constantly falling out.』
