(A Little Fun for the Little Ones) 『My 6 year old saw this on a TV ad and wanted it for his birthday. This toy cannot be played without any adult or older kids around. It is too difficult for them to put back all the butterflies in the toy for just another 30 seconds of fun. The Elefun has a fan at the bottom that blows the ribbonlike fabric butterflies along its plastic trunk to the top. Actually my older kid is a bit disappointed that the butterflies does not look like butterflies at all. The plastic trunk can get permanent creases overtime that may make it hard to stand up straight unless you pull it straight with your hand and have the fan running. It is like a ride at an amusement park, your wait is longer than the actual fun. The longest they have played with it was about ten minutes.』
(Replacement for Bubbles indoors) 『I like the concept of the machine - but it could be FASTLY improved by adding a loading feature on the side of the unit. Don't expect this to babysit your child it is a very quick game. I think the poor reveiws are due to the fact that it does not come with many buterflys making it over quite quickly and the fact that you have to pull the trunck off to reload is a factor - cause you doing that every 20 seconds. What you can do when making your extra tissue paper butterflies is to make them a LITTLE BIGGER than those that come with the unit - and once you twist the rectangular cut outs for your buterflies round off the edges. Bigger paper means longer air time. I got this to replace my daughters OBSESSION with me blowing bubbles inside. This is less messy and she likes to watch things fly. I would love to see some type of toy that has a child safe fan like this that the kids can put little skydivers on themselves without mommys help all the time. Mommy has a few other things that she needs to do - lol. And sometimes we need things kids can operate themselves. I think most parents were hoping this was one but its not. So just because its a nice idea and works PRETTY GOOD I am giving it a 3 - cause for $20 I expect a bit more than I got out of this - even though my Angel who just turned 3 loves it. I think it should have been about $10 just like my bubble blower.』

(Easel paper roll from M&D) 『You should by two. My 6yr old and 4 yr old are intense painters and did this daily for close to 2 months. Thank goodness I had my second roll as a back-up to give me a chance to buy my next set of paper rolls!』
(A must-have.) 『If you own the art supplies to go with Melissa and Doug's easel, you absolutely do need the Easel Paper Roll to complete the package. It fits perfectly with the easel, and I recommend that you purchase multiple rolls at once to always have an extra on hand. After all, you never know when young artists will be struck by inspiration!

(Works Great, but Durability and Issue) 『I really like the Melissa and Doug Easel, and this paper works perfectly and lasts a long time. My only reason for giving it four stars is that I wish it were a little more durable. Each time I rip off a sheet after my son has painted, it tears a little - not a lot, mind you, but enough that it doesn't rip perfectly. I think this has something to do with the wetness of the paint causing the paper to buckle a little, putting stress on different places on the paper, causing it to not rip straight (unless you rip VERY slowly - perhaps I'm too impatient!). Otherwise, great stuff - my son loves it.』

I gave it a five for imagination because what an imganination for child to make up her own adventures with her Uniqua doll without the influences of electronics and battery opperated stuff. I also gave it a five for durability as well because we did have to throw Uniqua in the washing machine and then laid her out in the sun to dry. She was as good as new. And she smelled good. We plan to collect them all, but for now Uniqua is her favorite backyardigan.』

I assembled per the instructions and when my two year old gave it a test drive, the blue wheel covers fell off. If the good folks at Little Tikes want to save a little money on manufacturing and not create some sort of tab fasteners and use a friction fit instead, at least get the tolerances right. This was the one part that required just a little engineering and they just blew it. I can't tell you how disappointed the wife and I are at the low quality from such an established brand.』

We were trying to hold out on video games since it will probably be inevitable at some point, but this Leapster is not your typical video game. They are learning a lot and are most definitely using their brains while they're playing. We have a few games, some letter/word ones as well as math. And they all love to play with it- it was very easy for them to just pick up and start playing. Even the 3-yr old. It goes through batteries pretty quickly, but we use an old portable DVD player car adapter cord with it in the car now and the same player's regular power cord if we use it in the house, so batteries are not an issue anymore! Highly recommend this product.』
(Leapfrog replaced it free, no questions asked AFTER the warranty had expired!) 『We purchased an LMAX for our five year old for Christmas, and she loved it. It worked wonderfully for the first 5 months or so, then the screen just went- you could hear the game going, but the screen was blank. We put in a call to Leapfrog, they told us to send it in. We did, and exactly 1 week later, went outside and tripped over a brand new one in a box on our front step. To top it off, the new one had a screen cover on it, whereas ours hadn't had one. We were so impressed. The warranty was only supposed to be 90 days, we were well past that, and the turn-around time was amazing. The customer service was impeccable. I strongly recommend this product for many reasons (oh, and if you look up leapfrog coupon codes on google, I'd be willing to bet you'll find one that will make it worth your time! ;) )』
(Perfect Traveling Entertainment) 『I bought this L-Max for my 5 year old over a year ago&she has really enjoyed it. Very handy for long trips. We've hooked it up to our tv, but very rarely use that feature. Wish there was a larger variety of games for the L-Max that is tailored for girls. Great for younger children, but would not recommend this for children over the age of 7. My oldest child has a Nintendo and my youngest is starting to play with it more often than her L-Max.』

Leapfrog customer service is awful, and not customer focused, so my review of any of their products is tainted by my experience with the company. If you don't deal with them and your product never breaks, you'll be lucky. : )
My recommendation is spend more time reading and playing with your child, and save $80-100. They will learn how to read, write and add just as fast. 』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (great concept, but colors don't match, etc.) 『I just purchased this puzzle for my 16 month old daughter who enjoys it. However, the colors of the plug and the hole are supposed to match and they don't. Some are just very different shades and two are different colors altogether (purple versus blue/ orange versus red). Since color recognition is a fundamental aspect of this puzzle, this seems to be a significant flaw.
I also found as another reviewer did that the pieces don't seem to have been removed and cleaned after the jig cut them out. There is particle board dust that seems to keep wearing off with continued use even after it is cleaned with a damp cloth. This can be considered a small trade off for the price of the toy since it is so functional and educational.
However, the only concern I have with the dust is whether there are any chemicals from glue or other materials that might have some degree of toxicity. The pieces are in no way deteriorating of crumbling apart; there is just dust that my daughter found fascinating and began licking off her fingers.
The pegs to hold the pieces are perfect. The pieces fit well, not too loose, not too tight. I really like this puzzle for my daughter and hope that I can get it exchanged for one that has accurately corresponding colors.』

the fronts of all the pieces have stickers (versus being painted on (w/ vegetable dye)like Haba does with their toys) so after my son chewed off half of a piece's sticker and was swallowing it all within 5 mins, i had to take it away from him
i discovered another sign that it's too cheaply made when after i took it away from my son he was covered in saw dust!!! turns out the thing is made of PARTICLE BOARD and the sides are not sealed so it's slightly rough and when my son rubbed his hand on it saw dust comes off... which is messy, but more importantly- dangerous! the inside of each shape on the board is also unfinished without any kind of sealant so saw dust comes from there too!
if they had spent a bit more (and charged a bit more) they could have created a well made, safe great toy but doug and melissa have blundered on this one

He is now 2 years old and still loves this game, we now play with all the pieces and he loves to match them up and organize them on his own. Not many toys can grow with kids at this stage but this is definitely one of them!』
