We have lots of Melissa and Doug toys, and I've always been very happy with their quality and durability. This one however, is shameful! My first clue should have been as I was taking it out of the box, the top layer of cheap wood splintered off. Had I bought it in a store, I'd have taken it right back. This was a birthday present for our daughter though, and bought online, so I thought "Well, it's just one strip of wood." Our child loved this toy right away...that being said, within the first week the entire area of blue wood began splintering off. All over the floor. Not only could my daughter have choked on a piece, but she could have scraped or cut herself, etc. Cheap craftsmanship aside, my daughter has lost her balance and toppled over the top bar twice, and hit her head on the wooden alligators. Now, the toy didn't cause her to lose her balance, but considering this is a toy made for toddlers, and toddlers tend to topple, wouldn't they have thought of the possible injuries? Overall, an INCREDIBLE DISAPPOINTMENT and I'm sorry to say that it's made me a little wary of Melissa and Doug toys in general.』

(A Way to Save $25 if You Want to Keep Your Rugs) 『I bought this for my daughter when she was starting to walk, and it is a nice-looking thing; wooden and retro and the alligators are very cute and all that. However, I just don't see how this can be any good unless you live in, like, The Overlook Hotel or some big modern loft with smoothly carpeted or concrete floors. Because this thing just does not work in a little Craftsman bungalow with wonky hardwoods covered in oriental rugs. It gets caught on everything (especially fringes) and causes baby much frustration with steering because of the wheels, you see. I've found that my daughter (who walks well on her own now) much prefers to push around a $5 plastic laundry basket which has the added bonus of providing a place for her to ride when I push her.』

The voice on our unit is kind of muffled and hard to understand. That aside, it's annoying to us that it only says 3 or 4 things over and over again.
This toy is a dud for us. Even when we try to play with it to catch his attention, he is not interested. On the rare occasion that he does play with it, he hits the ball with the bat or his hand and the unit wobbles or tips over.
I do think this toy might be good for a baby that has just mastered the ability to sit on their own. Perhaps around the 6 month age range.』
(Stability Aside, This Toy Is Just Fine) 『Playskool's Swing N' Score Baseball toy is a fun toy for youngsters aged nine months and up. I wouldn't expect children over the age of two years to find much use for this toy. It lights up when kids touch homeplate or swing the ball around on its post. My son, who just turned twelve months, prefers to hit at the ball with his hands more than the bat. He does enjoy swinging the bat around, however, but not at the ball. He enjoys the music and the lights also.
The only complaint that I have about this toy is the stability. If your little one has a decent swing, the toy will move around rather easily and possibly even fall over. Others have complained about the heighth of the toy, but I don't see it as a problem until the child grows a bit taller. This product is suggested for children over nine months, but it doesn't say anything about three and four year olds playing with it.
For what it is and when used within its age range, this is a fun toy that will provides hours of giggles for kids.』

We've had it for about two months. There are very basic games that have the player just search around for shapes or numbers before the player can move on (through a doorway) to the next puzzle. I believe there are three main missins that each have three levels and I think there are a few minigames as well. I played it for a bit, so I could understand what was going on and help my daughter figure it out. I did become bored rather quickly picking up food boxes. Still, I think it is a great overall game and is much better than the Little Mermaid or the default games that come with the unit.

It is, as suggested in other reviews, much smaller than the packaging would suggest, but is ideal for toddlers. My girls were between 20 and 25 pounds while the weather permitted water play, and the Slide N' Splash Whale Pool was perfect for them. I can't imagine that it would hold up to much larger children, however.
The plastic is strong; a number of other inflatable toys developed punctures this year, but this one has held up. My daughters enjoy this toy so much, I would have rented it for a day for what it cost to purchase! No regrets here.』

My mom discovered the eggs and we were doing those w/o the volcano - still great fun! (For those who don't know, you pour hot water over the egg and it dissolves slowly ... you find 7 parts in the water - the head, body, two arms, two legs and a tail. You put them together and figure out which dinosaur you have based on the pictures on the back of the box!)
My neighbor bought him the volcano for his birthday and I have to admit - the volcano adds excitement to it! The magic eggs can be pricey but we dole them out to our son as incentive or rewards for good behavior. That's how much fun these things are to him! And he can take them apart and put them together with other dinosaur parts to create new dinos! After doing at least 40 eggs we still haven't collected all of them - he has multiple T-Rexs, etc. but that keeps the excitement going.
If you have a dinosaur lover, this will be a big hit. I took a pack into my son's developmental preschool for the other boys in his class. They ALL loved them and got to take home a small dino with them (the class was all boys and all of them loved dinos).
