『I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old son. He loved playing with it and he loved having us watch him play it. He took it to our family get together and my neice and nephew who are 4 and 7 also loved it. They would take turns playing the games and argue over who got to play with it next. I also have a daycare and the children all love taking turns with it. It is a little advanced for my 2 year olds with some of the games however, we seem to be able to find something for everyone. This was a good buy!』

It has 30 games and right/left click buttons on the mouse so whatever she pushes makes a beep or something, mostly she messes with the volume and watched the monkey on the screen. When she is older she will get the intended use out of it but for now its as usefull as the fake cell phone, blackberry, keys and other kid PDA's.』

『My 3-year old received this game for Christmas and loves it. He asks to play it daily and has had much more success with it than the games that came pre-loaded on the ClickStart.

The first game, Shark Hunt, shows a keyboard displayed on the screen. For level 1, a little fish "hides" behind one of the letters. When you click on the right letter you find the fish and earn a star. If you click on the wrong letter, a picture of something that starts with that letter appears and it makes the appropriate sound. My son likes this almost as much as finding the fish, which he is a whiz at now but still enjoys. Level 2 is similar but you spell out 3-letter words in order to find the fish.

The next game has Nemo popping the bubbles that fill the screen in order to reach the top. On level 1 the bubbles are color-coded according to the keys on the keyboard (click a blue key to pop a blue bubble, etc.). My son doesn't like this one too much. On level 2 the bubble have specific letters or numbers to push to pop the bubbles. He likes this one a little better, but still not his favorite.

The third game has a little turtle swimming through the water. You press the up and down arrows or use the mouse to move the turtle up and down to catch a particular shape that the game directs you to look for. My son likes this game pretty well; we haven't attempted level 2 on it yet though.

Overall I think this is a good product, though not a particularly great value at $20. I am very pleased that my son is now very familiar with where the letters are on the keyboard and is starting to spell 3-letter words, thanks in part to this game.』

『We bought this train set at first because we didn't want Thomas the Train, but we wanted something durable. We have a few Melissa&Doug toys, and they are really well-built. Our son LOVES this set. It comes with a few different train configurations to get started, but even at two years old, he is starting to develop his own configuration. We build our tracks on our really old, low quality carpet, so we don't have to worry as much about the train tracks coming apart, but you can invest in some SureTrack if that might be a problem. One thing that is hard for us is that the elevated portion of the track falls easily (because of the lack of stability on our carpet and the lack of self awareness of a two-year-old). We haven't used the bridges that often unless they are shored up against some furniture. All in all, the train set is exactly what we wanted, mostly track, some trains, and very few filler pieces (trees, signs, people, etc.)』

『My two little boys (aged 4.5 and 6) love this toy. After a year, they still play with it. To me, that makes it well worth the money. Both boys know how to hook it up to the television and insert the games. It can be difficult for the little ones to know that they've fully inserted the game. My six year old has a form of autism and some sensory issues. He gets good sensory input from cycling. I've found that learning while doing a form of gross motor activity seems to be helpful in retaining what is being learned. That's just an added bonus. We're looking forward to adding some new games this year!』

『We bought this for our 3 1/2 yr old daughter. We wanted her to be active indoors because the Florida summer is too hot to be outside. It was easy to set-up and she loved peddling it, but the games were slow, jumpy and didn't keep up with her. She is somewhat advanced in her intellectual development and is accustomed to fast moving games on-line and this just bored her. We turned it on and she wouldn't last 5 minutes, then she would tell us she was bored. She would sit on it and peddle it while watching TV. It's VERY sturdy. We had NO concerns about her safety, but she didn't like the slow games. We just didn't think it was worth the money to keep it. We had it less than 2 weeks, then returned it to the "major toy retailer" where we had purchased it on sale for $20 less than the current price on Amazon.』

『The SmartCycle was on the top of my 3 year old's Christmas list shortly after they were introduced by Fisher Price.

While we haven't had any real problems with it, I'm still left feeling as though it was a waste of money. The graphics are terrible, and gameplay is slow and much more simple than initially expected. And, as other reviewers have mentioned, the lack of ability to actually save progress on games played makes for frustrating repetition.

Over the past 9 months my son has probably played with this toy about 5 times, at no more than 15 minutes each.

I can definitely see where some children would actually enjoy this bike, but it seems to be more of a novelty than anything.』

『Santa brought this toy to my then 4 year-old son because we live in an area that snows heavily for 6 to 7 months of the year. He saw commercials and thought it looked fun and we thought it would be good exercise for him. We put it together and after about 15 minutes of riding it, one pedal came off. We were able to put it back on and the other fell off a few minutes later; and it happened immediately again. Time got away from us before we tried to put the other back on, again, and now it won't go back on and it's most likely too late to return it. He literally got about 20 minutes use out of it and it's not the cheapest toy on the block! The idea is great but too cheaply made.』

I wonder how much it matters, though, since most games are basically the same. They're different enough that my son enjoys some more than others, but they are in large part all the same.

Overall I think it has been a success, but the battery issue and the lack of variety of software makes me think much less of this toy than I did when we bought it.』

『My 3 year old daughter received this for her birthday. She absolutely loved it. It's very easy for kids to operate. As I was installing the software she had already figured out how to work it to listen to the preinstalled stories and songs. On the other hand, the software is junk. My computer and the player would both say it was connected but the software would not recognize the player at all. I could not find anything helpful on the fischer price website about how to fix the problem. I have all kinds of music I had downloaded for her from Wal-mart downloads and from the disney website but I would have to transfer it to a cd then back into the computer before it would go into the software library. This is more trouble than whats its worth so I'm just going to return this and buy her a real mp3 player. I would not recommend unless you have the paience to figure it out. Hope this is helpful.』

『My daughter just received this for her 5th birthday. She's a huge music lover, and this was just up her alley. Let's just say she's been attached to it every since she received it.
The software was easy and quick to install. Loading music from a cd (can't load from a computer to the music library, it has to come from a cd) is a simple process. We also took advantage of purchasing a few stories from the website so she's got some of her favorites for bed time. We have a dial up connection and still were able to download stories which was nice. :)
The FP3 is so simple for kids to figure out how to operate without a lot of help needed from mom,dad or whomever. One option I loved was that I was able to assign an icon for each song I loaded on to her player. This was a great feature considering she's not reading quite yet and this helps her id the song before she has to hear it play. I also love that the volume can't go too high either, so I don't have to worry about her hurting her ears. She's enjoyed going to bed with her FP3 player on and listening to bed time stories. It also has an auto-shutoff so the batteries won't continue to drain while she sleeps.
Either way - it's got simple features, yet is built to last, and is just such a fun and fantastic gift for the music and/or story lover in your child. It looks like her two year old sister just might be getting one for her birthday in the near future as well! (It really is a great gift for any kid!) I just can't say enough wonderful things about the simplicity of it and the sturdy design. Fisher Price got it so right this time!!!』

The Smart Cycle plugs directly into your VCR or TV and requires no need for a separate game system. Simply connect the Smart Cycle to your television's input jacks, insert the included game cartridge "key," and your child can start riding -- and learning -- right away! Your child pedals the bike to keep the game going and "steers" with the movable handlebars. A large, easy-to-use and conveniently placed joy stick and bright buttons control the games and educational tools.

The Smart Cycle comes with a "learning adventure," in which your child drives a car by pedaling the bike and turning the handlebars. She can splash through mud puddles and take treacherous corners as she tries to catch letters of the alphabet along the road. She'll learn to keep pedaling to keep moving, while at the same time learning her alphabet!

Versatility Adds to the Fun
The Smart Cycle includes a game cartridge that features several fun and educational adventures that will keep your child happily entertained. The Ultimate Test Drive
We found the Smart Cycle easy to assemble and very simple to install with our television set. All we needed for assembly was a Phillips screwdriver and four "D" batteries (not included). As long as your television or VCR is equipped with the red, white, and yellow RCA jacks to connect the Smart Cycle, you're set to go. We simply connected the included plugs to the television's jacks, turned the television on, and we were ready for hours of fun. Once the game started, the cycle seemed easy enough to operate, making it not too much of a challenge to result in frustrating a child, but not so easy that it would soon become boring. With the additional optional game cartridges, we believe the Smart Cycle promises to be a long-lasting source of entertainment.

The Smart Cycle comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual, and the set-up only took a few minutes. However, one minor set-back we experience was that we needed the paper instruction manual on hand to understand how to play the video game; we found some elements of the games to be nearly impossible to understand without the instructions. An intuitive set of online instructions designed for children to follow, without the need to consult a paper manual, would make for a near-ideal gaming experience for any child (and parent). Also, although the seat offers four height levels, the handlebars are not height adjustable, which may present a problem for some smaller children.
