IPhone 3G used's review (Great first dollhouse...only a few minor issues...) 『We bought this for our daughter's second birthday, thinking it would be the hit of the party. And it was! She loved it and still plays with it at least once a day. The house is sturdy and durable (it's been knocked off the table with no ill effects) and the dolls are perfectly sized. She often plays with them alone, without the need of the dollhouse. My only complaints?
1. The extra furniture. Since each set has to be purchased separately it can get expensive, especially considering the cost of the individual sets. The family room costs nearly half of what I paid for the entire house. I fail to see why these need to be so expensive. And then there is the issue of space. The extra furniture will not even fit, if you were to buy it all. It needs to be switched out, which, I admit, might add some added entertainment value.
2. The doorbell and phone do not work, although it seems like they should. You can push them, but there is no place for batteries. After doing a little research, I've come to the conclusion that there are two versions of this house. The one that makes sounds seems to have painted rugs on the plastic?
But all in all, I am happy with this purchase and so is my daughter! I'm sure we will get a couple more good years out of it. Even my 5 year old son (secretly) likes to play with it...』

What disappointed me about this product is that while it includes this *useless* colored shapes boards, it does not include a "blank" board with a recessed geometric pattern, which seems standard with other sets. This would be like a "blank" (non-colored) board with a recessed shape of, for example, a hexagon where the kids can fill it with the pattern blocks. Without something like this, the blocks slide around which makes it difficult to create ones own patterns. I rated this product a four because I rate pattern blocks in general a 5, but this particular product, compared to other sets of pattern blocks would maybe be a 3.』

My main complaint would be that there isn't really a lid for the toy, which limits the use of the tray that it comes with. Some other M&D toys come with a slotted lid that slides on and off, and I wish this one did too.』

I was looking for calm, sit-down activities for my son to do before bed. He LOVES this. Sorting out and finding the colors and shapes he needs to make his picture is therapeutic and calming for him. At bedtime he also like the Silly Faces Stick-Ons Game, his Story Reader, and his mama simply reading books to him. I just never know what he'll accept but the point is to get him in bed in a cooperative, well-adjusted manner and quiet activities like these help.
The only thing I would recommend for Melissa&Doug is for them to create better storage for their products. We also have the food cutting set, which all the pieces are sitting in an open "food" crate. It's cute but not practical. I want to be able to stack things and not have everything fall out if it tips over. And also for THIS game, I really have to be careful because the boards and the pieces are all just sitting there open-faced ready to be knocked over. It should at least have some kind of top to put on it, Tupperware-style. I have two other babies and I worry that if I dropped it the small pieces for this game might land in places that only little babies could possibly find!』 『These Pattern Blocks and Boards will keep children engaged for hours of rewarding play. Two Delightful Dolls "Magically" Interact with Each Other With her movable body, "real" hair and big, cartoonish eyes, the Dora doll will especially appeal to little girls. Under her removable, sparkly princess dress she has "permanent" painted-on underwear. She also comes with pretty purple sandals, a crown, and painted-on jewelry.

(Perfect Alternative to Pricey Baby Alive) 『My daughter age 5 asked Santa for a Baby Alive. After looking at the other reviews on both Baby Alive and Baby Alive Wets and Wiggles, I couldn't find any reason not to purchase this baby. Wets and Wiggles is less expensive, makes cuter sounds and has better realistic baby movements. The number one feature that my five year old wanted was a baby that needed it's diapers changed. This doll is perfect for that. You can not go wrong with this one.
As a side note, my 7 year old daughter also asked for Baby Alive. I chose the Sip 'N Slurp for her. Another very affordable baby that can also drink and needs diapers changed. Together, both dolls cost less than one Baby Alive. This is another great idea for parents of two girls that routinely ask for the same thing. Hope this helps!』
(Pleased 4 Year Old) 『My daughter had been asking for a regular baby alive because her cousins all had one. After talking to their mothers and seeing the dolls after about six months of play I knew I couldn't put 60 bucks into it. The regular baby alives (and I have seen three with all the same problems) are hideous looking after being played with. Their color comes off their faces, you can't clean them, the hair falls out, and everything pretty much just works when it wants to.
After seeing this I began my research and found Baby Alive Wets'N Wiggles. What a great purchase! We got her in July. I also bought cloth diapers from Ebay so we could be environment friendly. She has been a wonderful addition. My girl carries her everywhere and takes her outside for walks. She is easy to clean, easy to feed and easy to change. The cloths are so simple to put on. I do not do any of the work. My girl can do it all. I would definatly buy this doll over and over for future daughters.
Also, when you see her in the store she doesn't do a whole lot or make a lot of noises, but when you get her out of try me mode she makes all kind of cute noises. They sound so real too.
