IPhone 3G used's review (This software should be tethered to every iPod) 『I bought a shuffle for my nephew... and decided to try iFill so he wouldn't use up all his allowance money or his parents money on music.
It works fine, better than fine really.
I won't gush with amazement or praise because like anything else, some people won't believe it until they see it for themselves.
Get the newest music or the best oldies without paying any fees.
It's a bargain.』
(it works (not anymore)) 『we got this at target and thought we'd give it a try. it was a little more than the amazon price (20) but we figured if it dosen't work we can return it anyway. we were surprised it actually works, on both the ipod shuffle and video. and we were able to take the songs recorded (20 some songs) with us to the car and use the FM transmitter to play it. (the fm transmitter was also bought from target, hello kitty style). so we were happy with the software, it works as long as you figure out soe kinks.
Update: this program stopped working because of some update mess ups. Well it was ok while it lasted.』
(Worst Piece of Software Ever) 『This is the worst piece of software that I have ever owned (including shareware/freeware). This is the 2nd product I have purchased by Griffin Technology (the other was the microphone for iPods). They have both been pieces of junk.
This software is buggy, constantly crashed, diificult to add stations to record, etc. Avoid this product.』
(please don't waste your money) 『Full of bugs. Doesn't work with current itunes (duh!) Unforgivable to put this piece of crap out with a price tag on it. Would be too expensive as freeware. 1 star is too generous!』 『Griffin Technology iFill - There are thousands of Internet radio stations out there. IPhone 3G used's review (Best Value) 『Excellent for developing purposes. Database system and analysis software in the same suite, best value for this price.』
(Vista Trouble) 『SQL Server was a pain to install and get up and running on Vista. The updates required were huge and very time consuming.』
(Does not work with Vista) 『I bought this product so I can get training in SQL I have a brand new Vista system from Dell, and it will not install, I get error messages that seem to show it is looking for a Network Server account, and this program is designed to be installed on a normal PC for development, so this should not happen.』
(SQL Server Developer version is a great deal.) 『SQL Server 2005 Developer edition is a great way to launch a prototype website. Amazon deliveers quickly, so if an eval version expires, Amazon can save you days of frustration. 』
(Excellent service) 『Excellent seller. Very quick service. Would definitely recommend this seller to another buyer!!』 『

In stock soon. Order now to get in line. First come, first served. IPhone 3G used's review (Learning Polish can be fun) 『I've had fun with this CD. I don't know if everyone would feel the same. There is NO English on this CD. You have to figure everything out for yourself. It's like a challenging computer game where you figure out the rules as you go. Well there are some very brief descriptions of the buttons on the screen, but no translations. I had to buy a dicitonary and try to look up words that I could spell. It was hard, but I also enjoyed figuring it out. I'm keeping a notebook of the phrases that I have been able to write down. I am still working with it. I am going to Poland in 2 weeks. I won't really know till then how much useful Polish I have learned. I also have a Pimsleur tape set. That's a slow-paced learning method, where you learn to understand every word and say it correctly. It is totally different from this. I think using both has been good for me. If I were designing a language course, it would not be like either one of these, however.』 『World Talk is the perfect language-learning follow-up to EuroTalk's popular Talk Now! series. In addition to new activities, the creators have added dictation, worksheets, and a brand-new recording section. Topics are designed for the intermediate learner and include reviewing the calendar, building sentences, asking directions, and translating weather terms and numbers. The interactive TV quiz is another useful learning tool, pitting learners against the resident champion or one-on-one against a friend.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Learning with Mickey, Tigger, and Pooh!) 『My 4 year old sat down for the first time with this software at 3PM this past Saturday afternoon, and aside for a quick break for dinner (which was wolfed down because she wanted to get back to her "'puter"), she played non-stop until past 8PM.
Learning her numbers, addition, phonics, grammar, following instructions (Tigger's Treasure Hunt is great!)...you name it. I can't think of a single problem with this software. There are even 3 levels of difficulty within most of the games.
Was not as impressed with the Mickey Mouse disk, but only one real quibble, really. On the spash screen where you can choose what game to play, the Pooh Bear disk says what each game is when you hover your mouse over it...so you know what it is even if you're pre-reading. The Mickey Mouse game does not. The rest was just fine...and fine-tuning her listening/observation skills with the bell-hop game (hotel guests call the front desk asking for a bell-hop with blue pants, bowtie and no hat, and you have to choose the right bell-hop from what looks like the Goof Troop) is a WELL thought out game.
Am DEFinitely recommending it to anyone with a 3-5 year old.』
(Okay as games go) 『This game is okay as games go. It is a little advanced for my 3yo to play alone. We also had lots of trouble installing it. I finally learned that with these types of programs on XP I have to just run the play.exe file. There is not a lot of variety in the activities, but the pictures are cute, and My 3yo can answer most of the activities and we can play the game together until she learns better mouse skills.』
(It does work with XP) 『But I was not impressed at all and my 2 1/2 year old son was not interested.』
(disappointing) 『We bought this mostly because our 15 month old has Jumpstart Toddler and we (parents) are sick of the same music over and over again (though she loves Jumpstart Toddler!)
Unfortunately, this (Disney) is a major disappointment. Issues we have/had include: 1) CD required in drive to play game. Who in their right mind thinks it's a good idea to require the CD for toddlers??? My daughter had the CD popped out 4 times just the first time trying this program. (and crashed the system 3 of those times) I mucked with the registry and .ini files but was unable to get it to load without requiring the CD.
2) toddler needs good mouse skills. Most everything is mouse driven, and while some keyboard strokes did something, navigating required the mouse.
3) large delays loading games, breaks in voices. Since everything comes from the CD, there are large breaks in the game while loading animations, including breaks in voice over in the middle of sentences. Very choppy. (PII-300, plenty fast for other games - and old enough that I don't mind the toddler playing with it)
4) no immediate reaction to keystrokes/clicks some times. When the animation sequences are going on, no keystrokes or mouse clicks will do anything. My daughter rapidly lost interest because she'd hit keys and nothing would happen.
5) while my daughter is young for this game, she was unable to run the program on her own, requiring me to click and navigate. She bored of this very quickly.
On the positive side, she did enjoy a couple of the animated sequences - watching. But I want something for her to participate with, not watch.
In all, very disappointing.

(Don't believe the box!) 『I purchased this for my 4 year old son after reading on the box that it's compatible with Windows XP. My son picked it out himself and was very excited to get home and play it. He enjoyed the games very much, but my husband became so irritated having to fix the computer every time these games screwed it up that he banned them from the computer. I no longer had the receipt. What a waste of money. I even tried running them as compatible by changing the settings...Windows XP wasn't even LISTED. But they listed it on the box?! Thanks a lot, Disney, for letting me and my son down horribly. I am now very leary when it comes to buying software from them.』 『The Disney Toddler Bundle entertains your child while teaching them about important learning subjects!』 fetish『 AMERICAN MCGEE PRESENTS BAD DAY LA 』

IPhone 3G used's review (Excellent monitor calibration) 『I just bought the Spyder 2 Pro and the monitor calibration worked very well. After the first try, I found that the screen was a little bit brighter, then I printed a photo work by HP Designjet 130, and glad to have good result , nearly same as in the screen. Then , I lowered the Gamma in the interface of graphic card software to make the screen not so bright for my eyes comfortable, try again ,then printed the same photo, the result was better than the first try, more tones in the colors, is accurate as in the screen. Then next try, I set LCD without using ICC Profile and to factory default color settings, then adjusted the graphic card contrast and brightness, gamma(to 1) for my eyes more comfortable, again to calibrate, this time the photo printed out also had the same good result as last try. I set bringtness to 2.5 and white to 5800K to get better result.
That is , changing the graphic card Gamma, contrast , brightness making the eyes comfortable , also good for printing and not influence the result. This software says that not to adjust the Lcd icons after calibate, but sure before calibration , it is possible to adjust the graphic card's functions. I had made different names for these tries, so that I could compare. I printed these through PhotoImpact.
For the PrintFix Plus, I don't think I will try because my printer can manage to correct ICC Profiles for every different kinds of textures and tones of colored papers , also looking through previous reviews, it sounds no good although upgraded to a new version, the orginal one had bugs , could not work.』
(Astounding Difference!) 『I knew that I wanted to get some sort of monitor calibration hardware for my setup, but I wasn't sure which to buy. After a very embarassing incident involving client approval proofs of a design that had color variations I couldn't even see on my monitors, I knew I had to act quickly. I am a photographer and graphic designer using dual LCD monitors on a PC platform (I know all you Mac users out there are frothing at the mouth, but I do a fair amount of 3D animation with high end PC only software). It is important for me to have accurate color for both photography and design work, but I thought Adobe Gamma was solving my problems. Apparently not. I researched both the Spyder and Pantone's Huey system, and I chose the Spyder.
Setup and calibration is pretty straightforward. Be prepared to spend an hour or so getting started. Recalibration takes about 45 min. each time you do it. I was very picky about the calibration, and so it took maybe longer than it needed to. The software, in conjunction with the colorimeter hardware measures a variety of things as it sits on your screen. It has you tweak the colors (RGB) of your screen individually using the monitor's front panel controls, as well as brightness and contrast. This can be tedious, but it's worth it. Once you have brought the values into balance, it then re-measures everything and creates a profile that loads every time you start up your computer. A nice feature of the software is that it shows you a before and after calibration example. I was amazed at how far off my monitors were!
I've compared original ur-retouched photos with the final worked files and been astounded at how little I really needed to do to the originals. It also explained a lot of frustrating trips back and forth to the lab. As a bonus, I now see all of the things I missed while using the computer. User interfaces and on screen graphics are much more nuanced than I ever knew.
I will concur with an earlier poster, however, that the profile will not reload after coming out of hibernation. Colorvision recommends that you turn off power management, and never let your computer go into stand by or hibernation because it can't send the profile back to the video card at wake up. This is an annoying feature and I hope they address it in some sort of patch.
Even if you aren't a professional, if you care about your family photos, or simply about having a much more visually appealing computing experience, you should consider the Spyder.』
(Great...... It works!) 『After reading the above reviews I was hesitant to purchase this item. However, I own "the photosshop CS2 book" by Scott Kelby. Here is what he had to say about Monitor calibrating. He called Adobe Gamma the cheep Freebie Method.(Adobe Gamma is what I used in the past). For calibrating your Monitor the right way he recommended Spyder2PRO. I invested in Spyder2PRO and I have to agree with Scott Kelby's statement as follows:
"Chances are you'll gasp when you see how "off" your monitor was before calibration. You don't have to do anything else at this point-it will automatically tell Photoshop about your new monitor profile."
I did GASP when I saw the before and after. Also, I called customer service and verified that I was understanding the directions before I installed. The customer service was very helpful. I had no problem calibrating my monitor. It is a very simple procedure.』
(I'm dissappointed and frustrated) 『I have a laptop and a 2nd graphics monitor at home, and bought this to calibrate both. I adjust the sliders on my IBM T40, and the Spyder software doesn't "see" that I've done it, although it's conspicuous on the LCD screen. The second monitor? It won't even recognize it. Over $200 wasted. I'm a graphics professional, and if I'm missing something, the instructions are woefully inadequate!』
