This is not a fancy lip balm in a lipstick case. It really works. As I have gotten older my lips have thinned out a bit. I have never had big lips to begin with so any more thinning and I would look like my grandma ( I loved her dearly but she had no lips)! The very first time I tried this I saw a difference. It not only moisturized but, it smoothed out all the krinkles and thus my lips are plumper and look like they did ten years ago. It has a light beige sheer tint which is great for a casual everyday look and wears well under lipstick or lip gloss. I have tried every brand of lip balm/conditioner out there plus some of those expensive lip plumpers that tingle or sting and have not had the results I experienced with the Avon Beyond Color Plumping Lip Conditioner. (This stuff won't budge!!!) 『I got these products on a whim and could not be happier! The colors are great. I was worried that the bright green and blue would look over-the-top, but couldn't be prettier. The box has a guide for matching two colors, but the choices are almost unlimited. I use them with and without Urban Decay's primer and they don't goop up in your eyelid crease or just plain old wear off either way. Just know that all the colors are super sparkly, but that's the only "problem" I have found. Since it is Bare Escentuals you get to do the fun swirling and tapping, too.』

My hair was dry and not great in the first place, but has since suffered terribly in the fight against the gray. My hair is long (past my shoulderblades) very thick but flyaway, feels like straw, and is always, ALWAYS frizzy. The most expensive frizz serums only give me oily frizz. I have taken to wearing wigs because my hair is so dull, dry, and frizzy I can do nothing with it but put it in a ponytail, and I am embarrassed.
Over the years,I have spent hundreds of dollars on beautician-recommended conditioners, masques, deep treatments, you name it, only to have NO improvement.
FYI Last week I tried the sample sizes of the Fekkai Moisturizing shampoo, conditioner, and masque with the Shea butter line, but was bitterly disappointed - my hair was softer but I still had frizz, flyaways, and crunch. Maybe the Shea butter line works very well if your hair is not chemically processed - I don't know.
However, when I saw the reviews for the Technician line, I decided to be a sucker and try again. It was the BEST hair decision I have ever made. If your hair is overprocessed, go straight for the Technician line of products - they are well worth it.
I purchased sample sized bottles of what I thought were the Technician shampoo and conditioner. When I got home, to my disappointment, I saw I had purchased two bottles of the conditioner only! Nonetheless, I jumped in the shower and tried this conditioner after using my usual shampoo.
The first thing I noticed was how a little of this stuff went a long way. Usually I have to use gobs of conditioner. But a half dollar sized dollop of this stuff was perfect for my long, overly thick hair. I got a wide toothed comb through it with no trouble - a first! Next I noticed how smooth and silky my hair still felt when I was almost done rinsing the conditioner out. Normally my hair feels pretty rough to the touch during that stage of the process. I let my hair partially air dry and noticed it felt softer than it usually does, which to me didn't prove much. I was still skeptical until I blow dried it. When I was done, I was shocked and surprised at how much like "normal hair" mine looked and felt like, and it smells terrific. Currently it is August and we have been experiencing extremely high humidity. Over the past two days since I washed it, my hair has not puffed out like a dandelion - no crunch and no frizz at all! I am going back to get the shampoo and conditioning masque as well and am looking forward to seeing the results. I also used the glossing spray and I finally have a little bit of shine, not the oily frizz! If the Technician line worked for me after all these years of trial and error, I would say it would work for anyone. I feel like I have found the Holy Grail of hair care for me - Frederick Fekkai now has me as a customer for life!

(Good But Not Special) 『Based on the reviews, when I finished my last container of Aveda shampoo and conditioner I bought this.
For background, I am 30, get my hair highlighted every four weeks with touch ups in between, and use a straightening iron or curling iron every day - in other words, my hair takes a beating, and I am vigilant about conditioning it.
And this shampoo and conditioner really are fine - they do what they promise, my hair is manageable and hydrated, it is, all around, a high quality shampoo.
That said, it is NOT a wonder product. It is no better than the Aveda I usually use, or Redken, or whatever your standnby is. I have no problem with it, I just don't think it's significantly (or even noticably) better than other salon products that are half the price. In other words, this is not a corollary to Fekkai's glossing cream (which I do consider a wonder product).』

The shampoo also has a decent lather, unlike most pricey ones, and the conditioner has good coverage. A little goes a long way. Also, what's important to me is that this shampoo and conditioner SMELLS GOOD, which is a big deal considering that most in this price range and above, especially restorative ones, smell like puke!
I've only been using this stuff for a week and I'm madly in love . . . we'll see what the future brings!』

And while I'll agree Maybelline, Loreal, Revlon, and other great drugstore products (some of which are made by the same companies as the dept. store brands) are darn good at filling the bill without hurting the pocketbook, I have never had the kind of results from their mascara formulas as from my prior ol' standby, Lancome Definicils.
The big difference is the level of pigmentation. That's why a lot of my makeup hails from Rite Aid&Target, but I shell out for high-end mascara.
Dior Show's lush, rich mascara transforms my lashes. That's worth 4 tubes of Great Lash any day!

I like the light feel of the cover as well, but you will need to spot touch blemishes, they do tend to break through the color if they are moderate to severe. This only happens for me during "that time of the month" otherwise it covers just fine. I used the Rare minerals blemish cover to help with this and it did in fact help cover and clear the blemishes.』

I'm not so sure about the Aveda brand Color Conserve Shampoo. When I use the shampoo, my hair feels drier than it was to start with and it's rough like the cuticle is open. I must use the conditioner afterward or I'll end up with awful looking bone dry hair. The conditioner is great, gives good body and doesn't weight down my hair much, but it takes some extra time that I don't always want to take.
I have used other color conserve shampoos which leave my hair feeling better without always having to use the paired conditioner. That's probably what I will go back to after I have used this product up.

I used to use Biolage to combat the damage my city's hard water was doing to my hair, but since I started using Aveda, my hair has been much softer and has 100% more shine. The Color Conserve has been wonderful and my color stays true; I also use the Aveda Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother to fight frizz caused by humidity. The only con to these Aveda products is the price, but the results are worth it.』
