IPhone 3G used's review (Body Pillow) 『The body pillow was a hit at Christmas. My daughter loves it. It came just as described.』
(Soft Pillow) 『This pillow is nice and plump but it doesn't give alot of head support. The first few nights that I slept on it I woke up with a headache. Now I use another pillow underneath which gives me the support I need and I have been sleeping much better. I especially enjoy the softness when I lay my head on the pillow to sleep. Every night I plump the pillow back into shape and its off to sleep I go. I was expecting a better pillow for the price I paid but it is working out fine.』
(Awesome Fluffy Body Pillow!) 『I got this body pillow because I'm pregnant and was having trouble sleeping. It has saved my life and I am now able to sleep because of it. It is so comfy and has kept its fluff so far (I've had it for about 2 months now). I absolutely LOVE this pillow!』
(Sleep on your currency.) 『I purchased this item because of the high reviews. I do think it's like "sleeping on air", meaning you might as well put your head down on 3 $20 bills for all the support it gives. I hate it.』
(1 year old and still going) 『I have now owned this pillow for over a year and it is just as good as the day I bought it. The pillow is beyond softer than any other body pillow I have come across and it hasn't lost any of it's volume like a normal pillow would. This is going to be my main christmas present this year. Love it.』 『Like the luxury of down? These feel like it, but they're hypo-allergenic and much more affordable. Supportive, comfortable Beyond Down Pillow. SAVE BIG! IPhone 3G used's review (It came with two big holes!! :@) 『I've got two sets of this sheets, they are nice to touch, and not too warm... but how bad is this? one of the sets came with two big holes... awful』
(Sleepease) 『I was originally searching for green organic cotton sheets and came across these. I would have preferred a green that was a little "warmer" in color, but with all the other great reviews and the fact that I own a bamboo/cotton shirt that I really love, I decided that these would be fine. I received them earlier this week, washed them, and enjoyed their softness. As I went to put it on my king sized mattress however I was surprised to find the fitted sheet a bit large. I consider that perhaps my double pillow top platform bed mattress may actually be "different" some how...but a king mattress is a king mattress unless it's a California King, right? I'm just used to them fitting a little better. Other than that, I'm really happy with them. 』
(Bamboo sheets) 『Tan Bamboo Sheet Set - Queen We bought the king size blue bamboo sheets. They are wonderful - soft and warm. However, if you like to make a "crisp" looking bed, these will not do. They are too soft to make up a bed for "show."』
(UPDATED REVIEW Soft&Cozy) 『I love these sheets. Hard to believe it is only 250 thread count and not 100% Egyptian cotton...not to mention the price is affordable. These sheets are soft and comfy. Definitely made to fit a tall mattress. Quality seems good although I have only used for a week. I'm getting rid of my old sheets and trading up.
UPDATE Oct 6, 2008 I've now had these sheets almost 7 months and I still love them...still as soft and comfy as the first time I washed them. While I got rid of my old sheets, I have yet to buy another new set. I just keep washing and using the same set over and over.』
(THE BEST!!) 『These are without a doubt the best sheets I've ever purchased. Soft, well made with full elastic the entire way around the sheet on the fitted bottom sheet.Soft relaxing colors..I now have purchased three sets in different colors.Recommend Highly.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Yet again...) 『...The Black Watch delivers an unquestionably GREAT album. Having been a fan of this band for about 10 years now, and having written glowing reviews here on Amazon for all of their releases since 2001, I'm not saying anything here I haven't already. TBW is a great band; reference points would be Go-Betweens, House Of Love, My Bloody Valentine (albeit less so on this new album), some 60's pop, etc etc etc. But at this time, reference points are not important. TBW stands on their own, and "Icing The Snow Queen", while drawing inspiration from many sources, sounds like no one else than TBW. "Icing The Snow Queen", in fact, is their finest album since 2002's watershed "Jiggery-Pokery", IMHO. I'll say it six times: fans of unpretentious (yet somewhat cheeky at times), well-written pop songs that are lush and edgy at the same time NEED to get into the TBW immediately, if they are not already. This includes YOU.
You know, let me apologize if this "review" sounds pushy, but I'm feeling a bit infuriated. It's the fault of John Fredrick, leader/songwriter of The Black Watch. How does he write such deceptively simple, maybe even incongruous (upon first listen), pop songs that you swear you've heard many times before, and STILL make them sound fresh as a daisy? For example, the GORGEOUS "Apres Lisette" from this album. A beautiful, lilting melody; perfect arrangement; nothing complicated - immediately accessible and familiar, yet... it FEELS utterly unprecedented. Damn that Fredrick, he's been doing this for years, and this uncanny ability of his is what has kept me a Black Watch fan for so long. I don't know of any other artist/band - indie or otherwise - with the possible exception of Robert Pollard - who has this ability.
Maybe I'm not explaining this very well. Maybe you should just buy "Icing The Snow Queen" (order it directly from the band! go to their myspace page for info! am I allowed to say that here?). Then buy all of the other TBW releases. Then you'll understand what I'm trying to convey. The Black Watch is peerless.』

(Her True Prince Charming is Her Voice) 『I discovered Esma by way of the World of Gypsies Vol. 2 CD, which I highly recommend. It includes fourteen different performers from all over Eastern and Western Europe, including Esma Redzopova of Macedonia, Vera Bila of Czech Republic, and Lida Goulesco and Valentina Ponomareva of Russia, who are all remarkable female vocalists. Esma, however, possesses the most brilliant and versatile voice of them all, and her album Esma, Queen of the Gypsies is a wonderful collection of both Macedonian and Roma songs.
Initially, I fell in love with the Roma songs on disc 2. Fun, jazzy, with clarinet, synthesizer, drums and cymbals, it shows off the range of her voice in the best way. In Hajri Ma Te Dike she almost sounds like she's crying even though she's singing. Ma Ker Tu, on the other hand, is rather pop and swinging. Both Mojlo Chindila and Ciganta Je Malena start with what sounds like Mariachi music. Esma Cocek, track 7, is very haunting and beautiful.
Disc 1 is quite different. Singing Macedonian songs with her husband, Stevo Teodosievski, this collection of 12 songs is dominated by traditional Eastern European accordion. In fact, Blagunjo Dejce is a superlative example of the most haunting of songs you might find on Latcho Drom or from the band Kroke. On Kalesh Ando, Esma shows off her voice in the style of the Bulgarian Women's chorus.
Her Cinderella story is narrated in the CD booklet included. Not a little like Selena, I can't but help to think that Selena must have seen Esma at a concert on one of Esma's tours in the US. Their styles are curiously similar. And like Selena, she is married to a member of her band. But when all is said and done, her true Prince Charming is her voice. It has truly singled her out.』

Faded colors, pan and scan presentation leaves many scenes with both actors off screen; you can hear them but only partially see them at best. This is not an official studio release, it is a bootleg from Sinister Video. This movie didn't get any theatrical distribution in America; it was sold directly to television through Warner Brothers/Seven Arts. I have long wanted to see this film and could not sit through more than 30 minutes of the DVD because of its poor quality. For the Vincent Price completist only! All others save your dough for an official studio release.』
(Not for ancient Egypt buffs) 『I am a classic movie buff and enjoy watching any film to do with ancient Egypt. But I was not quite enthralled by this version of Queen Nefertiti. Both Jean Crain and Edmund Pardom's acting was quite wooden at times, with the worst from Vincent Price who was completely miscat in the role of a priest. The dialogue was not brilliant either. I found, on the whole, entertaining in that it was about ancient Egypt, but for those who are not quite so enthusiastic, then I would definitely give this film a miss.』 『Jeanne Crain, Vincent Price, Edmund Purdom, Amedeo Nazzari. Here is a quality sword and sandal epic with a great cast that has been overlooked for years. Crain plays the stunning Egyptian beauty, Nefertiti. Purdom desires her but is foiled at every turn by an evil high priest who twice imprisons him. She eventually marries the Pharaoh and after his death becomes the queen of all Egypt. The high priest then attempts a military takeover! Some good action scenes follow. Price is most convincing as the vile high priest. Lots of excitement and court intrigue in this fine sword and sandal thriller. Nice color. 16mm.

IPhone 3G used's review (Amusing Italian Sex Comedy, But Very Poor Quality Unrestored DVD) 『This is a mildly amusing Italian farce, best known today for the scene showing Sophia Loren taking a nude swim (this clip is all over the Internet). However, the quality of this DVD is really disgraceful. It has not been restored at all, so colors are badly faded and there is dirt everywhere. Furthermore, the DVD is dubbed in English, rather than being available in Italian with English language subtitles.
Hopefully some day a properly restored DVD in Italian with subtitles will be available.』
(Never seen Sophia Loren so sexy) 『This comedy is definitely a "Loren vehicle". The camera does not neglect ANY of her unbelievable features, with plenty of close-ups, and her equally unbelievable figure clad in the most provocative regal costumes. The difference between the Loren-Cleopatra (seductive femme-fatale) and the sweet, scared blond girl she plays is striking, and she appears in both roles on the same frame.
I'm a Loren fan and I had to have this early performance of hers dripping sensuality. She would have made a much more impressive Cleopatra than Elizabeth Taylor.』 『Sophia Loren is in early bloom in this 1954 comedy, which was released years later (bluntly dubbed) in the U.S. to capitalize on her international success. Sophia plays two roles: Cleopatra, of course, and Cleopatra's double, a slave girl who spends a night impersonating the queen of Egypt. Mugging through this double act is Alberto Sordi, as a visiting Roman bewitched by the queen's lookalike. Rubber-faced Sordi, an enormous star in Italy for decades, looked like a cross between Sid Caesar and Gene Wilder, and his antic personality was given a long leash. One's enjoyment of this brand of Italian comedy depends on a taste for this kind of busy slapstick, a tradition upheld in Italy by Roberto Benigni. The silliness is certainly unpretentious, and at 78 minutes it really can't wear out its welcome. And the 20-year-old Loren looks like she's ready to conquer Egypt, if not the world.--Robert Horton』
IPhone 3G used's review (Guilty By Association) 『Never bought this item. Have no idea why it is on my list of purchases.』
(Should've been called "Where's Morgan?") 『I resent the fact that I have to give this a star. Many thanks to all of the above reviewers. I had much more fun reading your comments than I did in the 15 minutes that I wasted on this abomination. I'll be taking your advice in future and checking out the customer reviews before I buy or rent, especially when the box contains not much more information than Morgan Freeman's face. I'm still a fan, but let's be honest, he deserves a couple of years probation for this one. To be generous, it's possible that someone was holding his grandmother hostage so he had to appear.』
(MUCH BETTER THAN I EXPECTED) 『Region 1 DVDs are more expensive in Russia than in the US. Usual price is $30 and you won't find one under $10 even in special offer bins. So when I discovered this film in the bin for just $3 (a film with Morgan Freeman's face on the cover!), I couldn't just pass by. It was only at home when I read some reviews... I was prepared for the worst when started to watch this, but everything appeared to be not as horrendous as I anticipated. Of course it's low-budget and a bit amateur and overly didactic, but it has some positive features also. The acting was decent, and I saw quite a potential in directing. I think given a budget like for a normal movie Po Johns could make it work. In general "Guilty by Association" left an impression of a truthful film, although I admit it's hard to judge living rather far from DC. But Morgan Freeman was excessive here. I understand his face had to attract attention to the film, but his part was small and not necessary at all. His appearence hit the eye, and the reason he's here for is obvious. Although he might have had his reasons - the movie raises serious questions Freeman might have wanted to contribute. So in my humble opinion the movie is rather curious and although bad, it's not THAT bad. If I were a producer, I'd raise some money for the next Po Johns' flick - he may come up with something very cool like "New Jack City" or even "Training Day" (at least those were cool movies for me).』
(5 star crap) 『hahahahahahahahahaha! anybody with a great sense of humor would love this movie. omg, the little girl acting like she was dead on the slide....and still smiling...hahahahahahaha. Why the fcuk was Morgan Freeman in this movie. Why LORD!!!!』
(piece of garbage) 『extreme low budget movie after 15 minutes i was bored』 『Morgan Freeman lends a little gravitas to this gangster story about two drug-dealing partners--D-Mo (Daemon Moore) and Drama (Jeff Edwards)--whose friendship crumbles in the face of too much money and too much stress.Guilty by Associationis utterly amateurish; the strangely paced and confusing storytelling is made even more confusing by the arbitrary use of cheap visual effects and bad sound design. Still, despite this--or maybe because of it--the story remains weirdly watchable if you pretend that this a clumsy dramatization in a documentary. Then the poorly constructed surface merely stands in for the real story, which the earnest but stiff acting is meant to evoke but not embody. Not everyone, however, will want to give the movie this much benefit of the doubt. Freeman has a few scattered scenes; his powerful presence momentarily gives the illusion that you're watching something credible.--Bret Fetzer』

The book is as educationally informative as it is necessary for the mental liberation of Black people, in particular Black women. The book essentially encapsulates the untold history of not only Black women's' history, but more importantly how their history profoundly shaped, influenced, and effected American history, culture, and politics for Black people as a whole and women in general. Indeed this is a treasure of a volume; unquestioningly required reading for anyone who thinks they're knowledgeable about Black women's' history, has an interest in general history, and wants to expand their academic knowledge of the subject matter.』
(This is a must read) 『This is a wonderful book about the impact of segment of our population that has been perceived as powerless. The novel-type reading of historical, sociological and societal events is truly a gift of this author. She portrays women of conviction, strenght and strong values in a moving, engaging manner.』
(The Real and Gripping History of Black Women in America) 『This is the book for you if you are interested in history and especially the history of Black Women in America. The author factually grabs hold of you and guides you through the lifes of black women in this country. Their beliefs, struggles and the way they have affected everything from end of slavery to women's and civil rights movements, and from family and society dynamics to everyday racism. You will read about the more widely known Fannie Lou Hamer's persistent work during the 60's civil rights movement to the relatively unknown Ida Wells and her fight to stop lynchings around the country a century ago. This is a book that will touch you as a woman and as a human being.』 『
When and Where I Enteris an eloquent testimonial to the profound influence of African-American women on race and women's movements throughout American history. Drawing on speeches, diaries, letters, and other original documents, Paula Giddings powerfully portrays how black women have transcended racist and sexist attitudes--often confronting white feminists and black male leaders alike--to initiate social and political reform. From the open disregard for the rights of slave women to examples of today's more covert racism and sexism in civil rights and women'sorganizations, Giddings illuminates the black woman's crusade for equality. In the process, she paints unforgettable portraits of black female leaders, such as anti-lynching activist Ida B. Wells, educator and FDR adviser Mary McLeod Bethune, and the heroic civil rights leader Fannie Lou Hamer, among others, who fought both overt and institutionalized oppression.
When and Where I Enterreveals the immense moral power black women possessed and sought to wield throughout their history--the same power that prompted Anna Julia Cooper in 1892 to tell a group of black clergymen, "Only the black woman can say 'when and where I enter, in the quiet, undisputed dignity of my womanhood, without violence and without suing or special patronage, then and there the whole . . . race enters with me.'"

The characters are great, you can't help falling in love with Christian and Marigold's lives. This is basically a fairy tale for people who might not be the biggest fans of fairy tales. It's cute, it's refreshing, it's got the obligatory happily-ever-after ending that sweetens any day. You'll be sitting there, rooting your heart out for Christian and Marigold while at the same time, wishing Olympia would get stung to death by giant killer bees. Read it! It's the most amazing fractured fairy tale ever!<3 [also, totally suitable for the widest range of ages :)]』

Christian runs away from home when he is six years old, determined to live alone in the forest. A troll named Edric finds Christian and tries to convince him to return home. Christian refuses and stays with Edric. As he grows up, he watches Marigold, the lonely princess in the castle across the river. Christian eventually sends her a message and the two become friends. However, since Christian is a commoner, he knows that there is no chance that they can ever marry. He goes to work at the castle and finds out that Marigold's life is in danger. Christian embarks on a journey to save both Marigold and her kingdom.
An engaging mix of fantasy, romance, and humor.』
(Best Book Ever) 『Don't you hate when your parents nag at you to do you homework, fix your bed, and clean your room? Well in Once Upon A Marigold six-year-old Christian has had enough. He runs away from home to live in a forest. While in the forest, he meets a big, scary looking, but friendly troll with his two dogs, Beelzebub and Hecate. Christian gets to know this troll and decides to live with him. But Edric, the troll, says no. Christian tries hard to convince Ed. Eventually he gives up and lets him stay. Eleven years have past and that kid that was once six years old is now seventeen and still living with his "foster father" Ed. Christian starts to spend more and more time looking through a telescope at the castle where there is a princess. Then he decides to write to the princess. They find much about each other and become very good friends.
One year has past and Christian and Marigold, the princess, are still very good friends. One day Christian goes hunting and encounters Hayes Centaur, the king's gamekeeper, and they start talking. Christian finds out that Princess Marigold is the only thing keeping her stepmother, Queen Olympia, from killing the King to take over the castle. So the Queen is trying very hard to get Marigold married and out of the castle. Hayes Centaur tells Christian that he should get a job as a servant at the castle; he can get money and make new friends. Christian finally makes up his mind and decides to get the job and heads over to the castle. After getting the job at the castle, Christian tells Marigold who he is. After spending a lot of time together Ed begins to spy through the telescope. Queen Olympia sees the telescope and thinks that there is a plan to overthrow the kingdom. She imprisons Christian and sends guards to capture Ed. While a prisoner Marigold visits Christian and tells him of her powers to read people's thoughts while touching them. Queen Olympia also announced that Marigold was going to get married. Then, drugged the king to sleep. However, Christian wants to marry her but he is not in a royal family. Will Christian stop the wedding on time? Will he be able to marry Marigold? You will have to read the book to find out.
In my opinion this is a great book. Adventure, true love, irony, fantasy, and a little bit of comedy all come together in this book. It shows that if you what something you should do everything in your power to get it like Christian did when he wanted to marry Marigold. There are no boring parts. The ending is the best part of the book. It makes you want to read more and more. The ending is not what you expect; it's the total opposite. 』
(Once upon a Marigold is definitely the best book ever!)
