King sheet sets, and they all have been very well made. There was no hesitation in trying the Egyptian Cotton Sateen King Duvet Set. The 400 thread count makes the fabric so smooth and luxurious to touch, and the color of eggshell is very attractive with the bedroom furniture, and the look can be changed around with assorted accessories. The fit of the duvet and two shams is perfect with my feather comforter and king-size pillows, and the extra two inch flange of fabric finished around the edges adds to the beauty and size. By the way, the workmanship is superb. Have not washed the set yet, but feel that the pieces will hold up, look just as bright as before, and not shrink or look rumpled. (Soft, supple, wrinkled and a tad on the small size) 『I ordered two of these...a king size and a queen/full set. Both sets contain the duvet cover and two shams. The king is a standard king set and didn't work well for my oversized comforters or spreads. The queen/full is also standard sizing and I found it a bit cumbersome to deal with the duvet related to extra large comforters like feather filled.
To be fair, this IS a full/queen set so the sizing is accurate and I did not notice shrikage when washed. However, if you have an overly thick comforter or spread like I do then it will fit the full size much better than queeen. Thinner queen spreads, quilts or comforters should be fine as it does run true to size - just not with a great deal of additional space for extra large comforters such as a feather filled one (which was my main interest in this product). Outside of the sizing issue, this is a well made product with a VERY nice color - I'm often hesitate to go with eggshell as it often has an ugly brownish tint to it...no such problem with this one. A true creamy color that is quite neutral and lovely. Nice attention to detail throughout- simple set includes the duvet cover and 2 matching sham's. Unfortunately, I must agree with other reviewers that this tends to wrinkle much more than expected washed. Since I ordered 2 (a king and queen size) then I found by putting it on a low heat tumble setting when drying it reduces the wrinkle problem - this is thin enough to do so without taking an excessive amount of time but a bit annoying to be required to separate when doing laundry. My main interest in a duvet cover/set is to have a durable covering able to be put into the laundry on a regular basis WITHOUT having to take any special precautions...otherwise, I'd simply toss the comforter or quilt in instead. Without the ease and convenience of washing, this becomes one additional laundry and dressing burden - rather than a solution. Still, it is a relatively soft set, pleasing color and appears well made.』

But something changes when you launder this set. All of a sudden the softness is gone and the pieces become super wrinkled. This set needs to be ironed after being dried in an electric clothes dryer. (In the spring, when I resume drying bedding on my outside clothes line; perhaps this duvet set will be wrinkle free and will not need to be ironed.)
A bit of trivia: some folks call it a duvet, others call it a duvet cover. Even in this Amazon description, the terms are used interchangeably. Not everyone understands the terms. This set includes a duvet (duvet cover) and two shams. The duvet (or duvet cover) is a large two-sided piece that has no filling. You can slip it over any blanket or comforter you already own. One side of the duvet (or duvet cover) has buttons so you can close it all in. The two shams that come with the king set are also king-sized and generous. The sham works the same way a pillowcase does; you slip it over your pillows.
While most people reading this review know what they are looking at; not everyone will.
All in all, I don't think I can recommend this duvet set at the price listed. As another reviewer mentioned, it's too high maintenance. After being laundered, it's not nearly as soft as I wanted it to be, and the wrinkles are a major disappointment.』

This set has a lovely creamy color, and a delicate sheen when you open the package that is very elegant. The tiny eyelets are thoughtful and tastefully understated, suitable for both men and women.
This cotton doesn't meet expectations, however. To make a fair determination I washed and dried the set, and the original sheen from when I opened the package wasn't there and the pleasing hand became rather coarse. When people are looking for that characteristically baby-soft long staple Egyptian Cotton, they don't have to think twice when they have it. This doesn't feel like it. The impression I got was that the sateen was meant to in some way compensate for that-it doesn't. It's not as bad as some, but it isn't what you expect. Egyptian Cotton is supposed to be incredibly baby soft.
Upon washing and promptly removing from the dryer, the set is very, very wrinkly. This wouldn't be so much of a problem for sheets that are covered most of the time, but of course the duvet set is the outer covering. The eyelets do pucker a bit when dried on the lowest setting of my dryer. So use of this set will definitely require maintenance.
But if you don't really care if it's soft or not and you don't mind ironing, I do think this will be durable.』

This one has lots of the classics- Jingle Bells, O Christmas Tree etc, but it also starts and ends with some truly superb big band remixes of The Nutcracker Suite, by the Les Brown Orchestra (a long track that sumarizes most of the entire thing) and, shorter and hotter, the Dance of the Sugar Plum Faries by the Larry Clinton Orchestra.

I did not read anything about this before watching, and I could find no wrong with it at all. Still, it is a very low B movie (which I usually like much), so my rating stands at 4. Definitely not for the over-serious or easily offended. For average movie lovers (who don't appreciate strong camp), consider this film average, but still very entertaining for a one time viewing.』

Basically, the whole thing looks like it was filmed in a furniture store. Julie Strain is a terrible, TERRIBLE actress. If she has three lines to speak, she'll do the first one with a bored expression, the second one with an angry expression, and the third with a happy expression. It's impossible not to groan. She walks around topless a lot, but the whole thing is done in such a sleazy way that it's not the least bit erotic. And then she speaks some monotone text and any possiblity of sensuality is completely lost.
The plot consists of her being the head madame for the ruling class. She lounges around at parties and talks like a sleazy madame. Then she decides she doesn't like her "john" any more, so she joins the resistance. They fight against the rulers, and guess who wins?
This is full of really bad stuff. If, like me, you look at the cover art and think that this movie couldn't possibly be bad, think again. Imagine the employees of a strip club making a movie - that's exactly what this is. Sleazy, not at all sexy, horribly produced, acting that is WAY below even B-movie standards...they couldn't even get the theme music right. The one person who really steals the show is another member of the stable of females. She doesn't have any lines, and believe me, in this movie the less you say the better you look in comparison to the rest of the cast.
Avoid at all costs.』

The movie wasn't even closed to "B" quality (somewhere around "Z" if there was such a rating). Most of the outdoor shots are done in very poor lighting, and appear to have been filmed with a normal camcorder (very grainy, and lot's of jerky movement). The acting is somewhere in the relm of; a college project being made for class to out of work "never been" actors picked up off the street. Honestly, Julie Strain is the obvious reason anyone would watch this movie. Well, she wasn't in enough scenes. And when she was part of the scene, the quality of the movie, the set, the other actors/actresses, just drug everything down. If you are a Julie Strain fan, there are much better titles out there for you to choose from. If you just have to see this movie, look for it on a $1 day at your local video rental store, cause that's about all I feel it's worth.』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Not as enchanting as other trips I've taken into Lewis Carroll's Wonderland...) 『Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" is one of my favorite books of all time and thus, it is hard for a movie adaptation to live up to my expectations; it has been done, though, and I'll explain later. This particular animated version of "Alice in Wonderland" was produced by Jetlag Productions in 1995 and released to DVD in 2002 by Goodtimes Entertainment. I've never been too pleased with the animated versions I've seen of "Alice in Wonderland", not even Walt Disney's 1953 classic, and unfortunately, Jetlag Productions' takes the cake as the worst I've seen so far and one of the studio's weakest titles. Most animated films from Jetlag Productions have a balance between strengths and weaknesses, but sadly, "Alice in Wonderland" fits the category in which weaknesses outnumber its strengths. The film is simplified to appeal to children's tastes, but I think they went overboard, as I doubt children will find the film entertaining enough. The weak storyline moves along ungracefully and slowly, generating a lot of yawns from scene to scene, and the characters are not on screen long enough to be too memorable. Even with its many weaknesses, the film has one or two good points, too.
Based on Lewis Carroll's timeless literary masterpiece, "Alice in Wonderland" follows the adventures of Alice. Her story begins when she is sitting alongside the riverbank with her cat Dinah listening to an uninteresting history lecture from her older sister. Just when she could not be any more tired of listening to passages from a book without pictures, a strange white rabbit with clothes and a pocket watch appears and seems to be in a great hurry. Burning with curiosity, Alice follows the strange creature down its rabbit hole which turns out to be a deep tunnel leading, it seems, to the center of the earth. When she reaches the bottom of the tunnel, Alice finds herself in a brand new world; Wonderland. In this enchanting place, Alice discovers a tiny door leading to the most beautiful garden she had ever seen and thus begins a journey to find this beautiful place. In her journey, Alice stumbles upon many strange creatures, all of which seem to be just plain mad. Alice attends a mad tea party with the March Hare and the Mad Hatter, and plays a silly game of croquet against the fearful Red Queen. When the poor Knave of Hearts is accused of stealing the queen's tarts and taking them quite away, Alice attends his trial and confidently, stands up against the unfair tyrant and her pack of playing card-warriors. Discovering at the same time that the whole enchanting world of Wonderland was just the works of her wild imagination.
Once again, though the story is pretty much the same as with most other adaptations of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland", this version really does lack much of the charm that made others so grand. The film suffers from an artistic crisis; Jetlag Productions films have never been high on quality of background art and animation, but this is them at their worst. Most of the drawn sceneries suffer from poor choice of color, though much of it might be due to an unbalance in the DVD's colors, but still, the coloring is anything but appealing. Then there's the character design; once again, very poor. The protagonist is very badly designed, especially her face. She suffers from that typical eye design seen also in "Jungle Book" (1995). The rest of the characters have too simplistic or awkward a design to be visually likeable. The animation is not much worse than I've come to expect from this studio, but it still seems to be one of the weaker efforts. Voice acting is also a problem here; the characters speak in a way in which it sounds like a kindergarten play, with little emotion and very unrealistically. The same thirty-one voice actors from other Jetlag Productions films are listed in the credits, so of course, that means we're once again listening to the boring same voices from other films from the studio. In fact, seeing Jetlag Productions' films dubbed in other languages usually improves their appeal altogether. One thing I missed in this particular version of "Alice in Wonderland" is the moral; all other versions of the story I have seen resulted in some sort of lesson learned by Alice after her long journey. For example, in Walt Disney's 1953 version, Alice learns that too much curiosity can be a very bad thing and that it often leads to more trouble than one can handle. In the 1988 Burbank Films Australia version, Alice had been bored of reading her book, "The Principals of Logical Calculus" and arrived in Wonderland to search for the beautiful garden, only to wake up and discover the beautiful garden that was her very own, as well as appreciation for anything that was "logical". Finally, in the wonderful 1999 Hallmark version, Alice learns to have confidence in herself, and to enjoy, not fear, the fun of performing . There was nothing of the sort here, other than a few hints that curiosity was not a good leader. On the bright side, there are a few cute sequences, such as the Mad Hatter's drawing scene. The songs are rather nice, especially the first song, "Anything Goes in Wonderland", which opens, and closes, the film nicely with a soft melody and a catchy tune. The second song, "The Caucus Race" plays during one of the most repetitive and completely dumb sequences in the film. Finally, "M is for Me" is played during the Mad Hatter's drawing sequence of things "that start with the letter M"; catchy, but not too great. All things considered, Jetlag Productions' "Alice in Wonderland" may or may not be a hit with the children, but for Lewis Carroll's fans and older viewers, I recommend the other three versions I mentioned, especially the 1999 Hallmark version, which is my favorite film of all time.』

(Not Really a Review as Such....) 『I haven't seen any versions of "Alice" that match up with what is in my mind. Disney tried vewwy hard and it is a nice, clinical and somewhat sterile interpretation (with some early celebrity flavor in it, as we would see come to blossom in the 1960's with the movies from "101 Dalmations" on up). However, I am not reviewing that movie, nor THIS! I am putting in a teeny vote for the 1930's (1933, I think...or maybe '35) version, which had (actually, mebbe it was '36?) W.C. Fields, Cary Grant, and some udder people whose names X-Cape me as of this moment. After all, as the whole piece is highly dependent on rather dreamlike and nonsensical shtuff, I tawt I'd pass dis on to youse all. Someone should make the 1930's version available on DVD or VHS. I stayed home from school in 1975 to watch this film because I had read so much about it in my books on Cary Grant and also WC Fields [plus some other starz!whoze namez! ezcape!me]). Ok, enough. Suffice to say, the 1930's version was pretty neat, and had many of the best special FX guys of the 30's working on it. Put in a vote for the early 1930's version to be released at least on DVD.
