IPhone 3G used's review (Great Sofa Bed!) 『This is a great product. Very versatile. We have one in our guest room (which is a bit small). Rather than having a bed in there full time or a futon (which is never comfy), we decided to give this sofa/bed a shot and I'm certainly glad we did. The coolest part of this item is that between the two sections that make up the bed or make up the raised seating area of the couch are tubes that displace the air when you sit or lay down on the bed. Since the air moves, its very comfortable. I give it a big thumbs up!』 『The Air-o-Space 5-in-1 Inflatable Sofa Bed is a space saving, functional dynamo! Its not your ordinary air bed because it offers five different functions: a deluxe queen sized air mattress, a kids booster bed, a stylish sofa, a luxurious lounger and a relaxed recliner. The Air-o-Space 5-in-1 Inflatable Sofa Bed provides you with a relaxing and attractive piece of furniture that converts from a sofa to a comfortable bed easily. It is perfect for creating more space in small living areas. It provides an unbeatable combination of modern style, value and practicality. It can be used inside and out.Air-o-Space 5-in-1 Inflatable Sofa Bed is different from other inflatable beds on the market in many ways. It is made up of three sections; two base segments, connected by flexible tubes, holding them together and allowing air to flow between the two, and an upright (back rest/arm rest) section. You can choose to keep this third section deflated, enabling remaining two base sections to lie flat on the floor, making the longest inflatable bed on the market (a full 80 inches long) and a high rise kids bed! Inflate the third section (back rest/arm rests) and use as a sofa, lounger or recliner!Remember, the Air-o-Space 5-in-1 Inflatable Sofa Bed is just as comfortable and strong as a regular mattress. Made from PVC Vinyl, it's thicker than most standard air mattresses, plus you can choose how soft or firm you want it! It is built with 5-In-1's technological advances in weightless load technology and has a unique chamber support system. The 5-In-1 bed contains over 70 individual body support chambers that independently cradle, support and mould themselves to all the contours of your body. It also eliminates the "Roll-Together" effect.Along with the Air-o-Space 5-in-1 Sofa Bed, bag and pump, you'll receive three interchangeable pump nozzles. So your pump can be used to inflate virtually any kind of inflatable.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Poke Poke Poke.... uuuggggkkhhhh) 『When I first took it out the package I was so happy with the texture. The Microfiber feels great, but once you lay down with it all of that changes. Because it is microfiber the feather stems poke through, everywhere.... So uncomfortable!!! Don't waste your money on this one....』
(Far from Comfortable) 『The feathers aren't quilless&even though it's a microfiber material, the quills poke right through it like needles in a potato sack. If that doesn't bother you, then you might enjoy it...it's quite warm.』
(Nice color, way too small) 『This comforter was a beautiful merlot color, as described, but the size was way too small for my king size bed. It fits wonderfully on my daughter's queen size though.』
(poor quality) 『After 3 weeks, I sent this comforter back. I got tired of being poked by the feathers coming through the junky covering of the comforter. I hope I get my money back soon』
(For the Price I'll give it a 5 star) 『I can't feel comfortable saying anything bad about this comforter set because of the price I paid for it. If you are going to be a penny pincher you get what you pay for. Stop complaining and bite the bullet. You went cheap and that's what you got. Put a duvet on it and use it. I like the mint color and how light weight it is. I use a top sheet so the feathers don't bother me. I can't stand anything heavy on me at night and this fit the bill. I can't complain.』
IPhone 3G used's review (disappointed) 『After reading the reviews I was anxious to try these out. After four washes I have to say I am incredibly disappointed in the way they have held up. The pilling and scratchiness is so bad I've removed them and won't be using them anymore. Initially they are shiny, turning softer after additional washes, but as I said - the pilling!! I've had sheets hold up better that were less expensive and lower thread count. I love the ample sizing of the sheets but won't be buying anymore of these sets. A strange thought, but I'm curious if the differences in the reviews has anything to do with the color or where they are manufactured. Mine were thyme.』
(superb) 『These are high quality, super soft, ultra comfortable sheets. How somebody could even complain about these is beyond me. I already purchased a second pair and will likely be getting a third.』
(Great sheets!!) 『Nice and elegant sheets! Soft and shiny! They fit my luxury matress perfectly! I have ordered the chocolate ones and want to order other colors as well. I truly recommend them! The only setback is the shipping times, I had to wait months for the golden ones and I'm still waiting for the chocolate, but don't get me misunderstood... they are worth the wait!』
(good stuff) 『the sheets are super soft...not really sateen though. the last ones we bought were like a little shinny and these do wrinkle, but as long as you take them from the dryer it isn't bad』
(3 Stars Based on Price) 『These sheets quite possibly are the thread count listed (I can neither prove or disprove their statement), but it does *not* feel like a high thread count sheet. For emphasis purposes let me say this again:
These sheets do not feel like a high thread count sheet.
They feel soft after a few washes but then quickly turn a bit "pilly" (that isn't some urban slang) and get a light sandpaper feel. If it wasn't for their inexpensive cost these sheets would have a lower rating.

There are 54 songs here, several of which I did not have (recorded in Argentina in 1943). Even with the primitive recording techniques of that time, Ms. Sumac's magnificent voice can be heard in it's formative (but still formidable) stage. Included here are her three songs from the very rare Broadway musical, "Flahooley," which she appeared in. The liner notes are excellent,&there's an early B&W photo of her that's fascinating. For those of you who have all her LPs&previous CDs, this set is a must-have, just for the 1943 recordings alone. For those of you who haven't heard Ms. Sumac's singing, be warned that she is an experience like none you have ever heard before.』
(INFERIOR BOOTLEG RELEASE) 『BEWARE: THIS RELEASE IS A BLATANT BOOTLEG AND INFERIOR RELEASE OF THE YMA SUMAC CAREER ANTHOLOGY ORIGINALLY RELEASED ON BLUE ORCHID IN 1995 WHICH CONTAINS A 16 PAGE BOOKLET AND ESPECIALLY COMMISSIONED LINER NOTES. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS BLATANT RIP OFF!!』
(The Best Collection to Date!) 『This CD is the most complete collection to date, for it includes the best tracks from ALL Yma Sumac albums, INCLUDING her terribly rare pre- America album, recorded in Argentina in 1943. It is fascinating to hear her vocal improvements as she grew into a mature woman. In the liner notes are rare photos (only ever seen on her official site, www.yma-sumac.com (don't forget the hyphen!). This is a TWO CD set, with beautifully remastered sound. For the die-hard fans, this is a must. For the new fans, this is a glorious and thorough introduction into the magical world of Yma Sumac.』 『Yma Sumac was a phenomenon in the music world during the early '50s. With an amazing vocal range of four octaves, this attractive, mysterious woman with a voluptuous figure catapulted onto the American music scene with a 10 inch album Voice Of Xtabay that topped the US charts in 1950. Everything surrounding Yma Sumac had an air of mystery about it, she was said to have been born in a tiny village in the Peruvian high Andes and was a descendant of the Inca Kings and her exotic repertoire was said to be based on Inca legends. This is a great way to discover Yma's unusual vocal ability. Proper. 2006.』

First the sound quality is excellent. Same for the DVD visual. The band sounds great and enthusiastic. The set list is less than to be desired though. They were promoting one of their weakest albums "Hot Space" I must give credit though. The songs from that album sound much better live than their studio counterparts. There are some great performances "Save me", Fat bottom girls", "Play the game"&"Under pressure" Don't know why they keep insisting on adding yet another extended Brian May guitar solo? That part really gets boring fast. Over all it's a good live CD&DVD, but for the causal Queen fan, I recommend either "Live killers" or "Rocks Montreal" Better song lists. 』
(Queen pull a classic lost gem of a concert from the vaults) 『In November of 2004, Queen released its fourth live album Queen On Fire Live at the Bowl. This live recording and its off-shoot DVD was recorded and filmed at The Milton Keynes Bowl outside London, England on June 5, 1982. Not officially released on video or CD, Queen On Fire Live At The Bowl marked the first time a recording of this concert has been LEGITIMATELY available to own as a 70 or 80 minute edit had been available on the bootleg recording circuit. Audio producers Justin Shirley-Smith and Kris Fredriksson returned to the original 24 track analog tapes recorded by 80s Queen co-producer Mack and Mick McKenna with The Rolling Stones Mobile Truck and created brand new regular stereo (for this CD and one of the two DVD mixes)) and DTS 5.1 surround sound mixes (found on the DVD). We kick off as the band hits the stage with the entrance music of Flash before the band dives into a spirited version of The Hero. Next is a killer We Will Rock You (fast version) complete with Brian May popping a guitar string and the music was left alone. Next is Action This Daywith drummer Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury duetting on this rocker and John Deacon adding some bass which was muted on the studio recording and Brian playing his Red Special backup as his Red Special had to get a new string and Morgan Fisher did a great synthesizer solo substituting for the saxophone solo. Then Freddie does a nice piano intro which goes into an excellent Play the Game. Next is another Hot Space track Staying Power which is transformed into a rocker with Deaky and May playing guitars plus Roger bashing live drums and Freddie being on fire here. Next is arguably this live set's best track Somebody To Love which buries its studio counterpart by a longshot. Next is Now I'm Here which is excellent with a Freddie/audience vocal duel before segueing into Dragon Attack which rocks although Brian blew yet another string on his Red Special guitar and had to use his Red Special back up for the finale solo and the reprise to Now I'm Here. Next is a nice version of Love of My Life with Brian playing an impromptu teaser of Las Palabras De Amor before starting the track. Save Me is next and is done with more power than the studio counterpart. Deaky's Back Chat ends the first CD as the funk track is turned into a full-on rocker with Roger playing the drums like a man possessed, Brian's guitar dominating, John playing his Music Man Stingray bass and Freddie singing his heart out. The second CD begins with Get Down Make Love which is a great short version which then segues from its middle section into Brian's Guitar Solo which is amazing despite the fact his guitar cord came undone (you can see this on DVD unedited) and Brian finishes with some help from Roger's drumming. Roger does an uncredited 30 second Drum Solo at the end of the guitar solo track as a lead in to Under Pressure which is an excellent version of the track. Next is Fat Bottomed Girls which rocks and Freddie's voice was electronically fixed on the part where he says LOCALITY which his voice cracked on the original Milton Keynes BBC airing. We then have a rocking Crazy Little Thing Called Love which is great. Then we have Freddie play a nice piano solo leading into possibly the best live version of Bohemian Rhapsody ever. We then rock out with the set closing Tie Your Mother Down which rocks. The first encore of Another One Bites the Dust is a great spirited version. Sheer Heart Attack follows and is more aggresive than either the News of the World version or the Live Killers version. We then have the second encore of the traditional We Will Rock You with audience participating and a stellar We Are the Champions. We then have the band say farewell as God Save the Queen plays over the PA. Despite the fact this album didn't chart upon its late 2004 release here in the States, this live album is a FANTASTIC snapshot of Queen reigning their natural habitat, the concert stage and is one of my favorite live albums EVER! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!』
(Sheer perfection!!! Thank you Roger and Brian for this.) 『This is excellent. This is real offical Queen stuff by Roger and Brian. To me that says it all. It has the best version of Play the Game I have ever seen. Somebody to Love is great too. The quality here is unbelievable. It would be awfully hard to be disappointed with this one in my opinion. This just may be Freddie Mercury's finest hour, well one of many. Long live Queen!!!!』

(The most boring film I've ever seen) 『As I progress with this Amazon review thing, I will try to give every break I can to independently made films. Because they're well, so independent, I guess. I've seen my share of them, and liked quite a few, but with this film, one can see why a studio would be reluctant to drop a few mil because some director wants to show her sister being a total mope for over an hour.
I guess I'm supposed to appreciate that something in this person's life caused her to lead a non-existence, and because it's an "art" movie, of course we're not going to be told what it is. And I guess in order to appreciate her pain, we have to experience what she has to endure in her day-by-day life.
I would also guess that Las Vegas was chosen as the location for the film because of it's reputation as a soulless, money-grubbing town. This is illustrated in a scene, that lasts about 1/3 of the film, that just shows her at work. All the closeups show her taking the customer's money, but never paying out winners. Through this entire scene, she does not smile or relate to the customers once. In fact, she does not smile once in the entire film.
I live in Las Vegas, and it took awhile to figure out where she worked. We get a quick "product placement" of her change apron showing Bob Stupak's Vegas World. Now this film was shot over a dozen years ago, and I will admit that Vegas World was one of the most Godawful, gaudy casinos in town. And of course the director picks the dumpiest, most desolate places in town where she lives and does other things with her life, which is not much.
But tell you what. Vegas World has since been replaced with the much more interesting Stratosphere. And yes, there is a part of Vegas that can be Boulevard of Broken Dreams, but there is a much bigger part of the town, then and now, that's a rollicking fun place to be. None of this, of course, is conveyed here.
Finally, a dealer's job can be repetitive, but it's a way for a person with minimal skills, and no goals in life, to earn a decent living. Our party chick of a main character certainly qualifies here, and should be grateful she's got a job. A good dealer can earn more tips by at least conveying friendliness, but with this one, I would have changed tables after a few hands. Part of a dealer's job is to help the customer have a good time even if you are taking their money. If I were the casino, I'd say, here, go clean some toilets for lower pay if that's what you want to convey. I'm not forcing you to take this job, so leave your problems at home.
I'm sure I'm missing the point. I'm just supposed to try and understand her pain. But unless you've been through the Holocaust, and even if you have been, get on with your life.
I have a moody, pouty six-year-old. I think I'll follow him around for a few days and try to release it as art.』
(A challenging portrait of a live lived in total alienation) 『Produced, written and directed by Nina Menkes,"Queen of Diamonds"is a demanding 77-minute film, which requires attention and contemplation to arrive at a semblance of meaning. The director labels it"a minimalist post-pop emotional x-ray of the U.S.,"and clearly the first half of the description applies. For the most part the camera remains quite static, framing a scene with minimal attempt to influence our perceptions of what is transpiring. The rare close ups are of the faces of the gamblers or of the hands of the"heroine"dealing cards at the black jack table or picking at her food. If we get close to seeing her face her arm invariably covers it; clearly we are not supposed to get close enough to see. The dialogue is also almost maddeningly sparse throughout the film, often heard indistinctly, and never provides any meaningful information for unraveling what is going on. Made in 1991,"Queen of Diamonds"reveals a Las Vegas black jack dealer, portrayed by Tinka Menkes, and treats us to a bleak but compelling portrait of alienation, which for me is best captured in the shot of her standing in front of the"Wheel of Fortune"at the casino waiting dispassionately for someone to come up and play.
This is film where we are told nothing and are never quite sure what we are being shown at any given moment. However, there is a rhythm to the scenes that begins to provide some framework for accessing the film's meaning as we alternate between the quiet of her apartment and the bustle of the casino. Even when the film moves beyond those two primary settings the patterns remains constant of alternating scenes of sound (she sits in a bar drinking while"Moonlight Serenade"plays loudly) with those of eerie quiet (she is part of a crowd that watches a dead body being carted off the street). She works mainly as a black jack dealer. Eventually we discover she has a husband who has been missing for several months and sometimes she makes an effort to find him (she is neither clear on the details nor especially motivated to search for him). She also takes care of an old man who lives in a motel. Then she goes back to dealing black jack and the routine continues. Against this relentless cycle the attempts to break away from the routine stand out starkly, for both their oddity and their failure to produce a spark. Sitting on a bench waiting for a bus a man sings to her, to no effect. On the shores of a lake she another man asks her to go for a walk and we cut to the pair watching a burning palm tree. After a while the man walks away, but she continues to watch it burn. Is she barely going through the motions out of a sense of routine or simply resigned to her fate? Does she feel any pain or take any pleasure out of anything she does?
"Queen of Diamonds"is a cinematic Rorschach test, where the meaning and significance is going to come from the viewer, provoked by what is being shown on the screen. Those who demand explanations, who want obvious narrative structure and crystal clear resolutions, are going to be extremely frustrated by this film. This film plays around the edges of a life that is being lived on the periphery."Queen of Diamonds"is not for everybody, but rather for those who enjoy an above average example of the contemporary American art film and who are willing to be involved in the viewing experience. I have changed my mind several times as to what I think is"really going on"in this film, but then I have no problem with a fluid reading of a cinematic text. Does the fact the end credits are in a gothic type hint at an ironic frame of reference? Certainly the turning Queen of Diamonds card at the beginning reflects the film's rhythm, or is that pushing the symbolism too much? As I said, this is a most demanding film, but not without its rewards.』
IPhone 3G used's review (The Movie's Great, but Beware of Cheapo Videos) 『This is one of the best-loved animated features in Russia, richly animated by the renowned Soyuzmultfilm studio. The dubbed U.S. version was released by Universal in 1959 and was widely shown on local TV stations, especially at Christmas time. This version featured the voices of Sandra Dee, Tommy Kirk and Paul Frees. A later version dumped this soundtrack for a synthesized one, and yet another used the animation for the series "Stories from My Childhood." A hokey prologue was added for the 1959 U.S. release starring TV host Art Linkletter and some extremely polished and starched youngsters, including Billy Booth, who played Dennis the Menace's pal Tommy Anderson on the TV series. The kids literally quote lines from Linkletter's best selling book "Kids Say the Darnest Things." Some videos of the movie do not include this prologue at all. The confusion arises when the director of the prologue is credited with directing the movie! Several low-budget VHS tapes of this gem have been released, and to this day I have not found one with either a satisfactory film print or sound track. I love black comedy like the "Friday" movies (except for the last one) but this was NOTHING like Friday. In fact, it was extra lame. There were a few funny scenes but not the way you want them to be. I have to agree with most of the previous comments, here, that this movie will most likely be pretty offensive to most black viewers. It's loaded with stereotypes and predictable humor.
That aside, I did get a chuckle out of a few of the characters. Tim Meadows' conspiracy whacko character was twisted and amusing. Meadows have a talent for subtle humor with over-the-top characters. This sounds like a contradiction, but it isn't. Danny Glover gets a few laughs in as the heavily "ball&chained" neighbor. It helps that his ball in chain happens to be Farrah Fawcett, I suppose. Both Mr. Meadows and Mr. Glover's characters were somewhat stereotypical and unoriginal, but both actors made them work, because they're pros. That old man with a stick was kind of goofy. I mildly enjoy Queen Latifah though, even in a ridiculously written role she was believable and hilarious at times. She at least made it worth my time. I will say Tim Meadows was the highlight of the movie and his lines totaled approximately 5 minutes of dialogue.
I found Jennifer Lewis' character to be intensely annoying. She was supposed to come off as "strong" and as the pillar of the family, but if I had a parent like her, I'd go to huge lengths to avoid her. Just watching her in a movie made me uncomfortable. I'm surprised that Todd's prospective client didn't head for the hills, immediately. Those grotesque fat twins were annoying. The pot smoking scene with them and Mertaw was horrendous. I was disgusted with the way they looked and acted. Ja Rule was very annoying as Bling Bling and his sidekick was just as awful. The dude Big Pu//y from The Sopranos was OK as a doo doo salesman. Rapper Storm P (aka Quran Pender) as Todd Anderson who played the young, newly-drafted NBA star did a pretty decent job in his role. Eve finally play a sweet character. For a hardcore rapper who always plays tough minded characters, it was nice to see her lovable and supple but the time she spent on the screen looked more like a cameo.
"The Cookout" has more flaws then virtues, and it will certainly offend anybody concerned with improving the image of African Americans, but it does have its brief moments but I won't recommend this being that it's unrealistic and forgettable. 』

Now, we watch this movie all the time.』 『Queen Latifah lends her comic sparkle toThe Cookout, a new comedy she also helped conceive. Todd Anderson (Quran Pender) becomes a first draft pick in professional basketball and starts spending like there's no tomorrow; he buys a car, diamonds for his golddigging girlfriend (Meagan Good), and a huge house in a gated community. But though his life has been turned upside down, his family hasn't--and when everyone assembles in his new ritzy neighborhood for a celebratory cook-out, chaos follows. The Cookoutis loaded with charismatic performers, such as Jenifer Lewis (Juwanna Mann) as Todd's no-nonsense mother, Eve (Barbershop) as his former best friend, Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon) as a new neighbor, and the aforementioned Latifah (Bringing Down the House) as an over-ambitious security guard. Unfortunately, the underdeveloped script gives them little to do and nowhere to go. Many lessons are learned, but few laughs are had.--Bret Fetzer』 『When todd signs a $30 million deal with the new jersey nets he knows that his life is about to change. To keep things real he decides to throw a bbq at his place just like the ones his family used to have. But when you have new&old friends family&agents in the same house things are bound to get crazy. (Size is far from advertised 8-10 yr) 『This product, labeled as a medium for girls 8 to 10, would fit a 4 year old (or maybe one of the Chinese gymnasts purportedly 8 to 10 years old). It appears to be cheaply made also.』 『Light up your little girl's Halloween with this Princess Dress! Easy on and off velcro closures. 『What do dogs dream of? Why bones, of course. These 4 dogs float around a bone that is tied with a ribbon. Watch them float in the wind. The gliding, dreamlike movements makes you happy. This is the perfect gift for any dog lover. What a great room accessory. In an apparently completely still room the mobile catches the slightest current of air. Just as being engrossed in music, watching the slow motion of a mobile is a remedy against stress. Music is perhaps the closest to mobiles with their balance, rhythm and constant movement. The best movement is obtained by finding the exact point of balance. Each mobile is carefully assembled and balanced by skillful hands. Hang the mobile out of reach of children.
