(Great item - great way to buy it in bulk)
『Best way to buy this item. The retail packages of this clay comes in bigger packages - so kids open it and need to use a whole bunch of it before it dries. This ones has tons of small packages - one of each color usually enough to entertain the kids for an hour or more.』

(excellent gift for students!)
『I gave these as gifts to students! They all loved it and I use it when teaching formations of numbers and letters.』

(Great for projects)
『When I was introduced to Model Magic, I knew we needed to have some available to our teachers. It is lightweight, easy to use, the colors mix together easily, and does not make a mess. Plus it dries on its own.

We've already used it with our students to make the signs and symbols
of Christmas. The kids really had fun with it.』

『Olivia is one. She can watch this very fun, active and musical program over and again. Hi-5 is an award winning troupe which, I believe, no longer performs. Even the wife and I enjoy the video.』

(High-Five for Hi-5 Animal Adventures)
『I bought Hi-5 Animal adventure for my grandson, who lives with me, just before he turned two years old. He's enthralled with it.

The performers dress in very creative, unique outfits that resemble various animals. Then they act like the animals while performing dances&songs. And as if that wasn't enough, they also pass along educational information about the animals at the same time.

It's a great deal of fun for my grandson to watch this DVD and he requests it almost every day. I highly recommend it.』

(This is Sting: going out on his own)
『Let's face it. If you buy this DVD you are interested in Sting. You get alot more but as other reviewers have said it is not a full concert video nor a full flavor of the transformation of the songs. But you will get a very interesting look at Sting as he left the Police and went out on his own. Every Sting fan should see this.』

(Inside view of tour rehearsal)
『This video offers a rare look inside the preparations for Sting's groundbreaking concert tour with several world class jazz musicians. A must see for any songwriter or musician reflecting the processes of arranging and rehearsing songs for a Paris debut. A surprise event at the end of the film is exciting and intimate.』

(Bring on the Night - the movie)
『I really love this doc/rockamentary. It is far better than I expected actually and now one of my favorite Sting videos. The bringing together of a new band, with interviews with them and him. It shows them growing together moving towards Sting's first concert after leaving The Police. The new music is from Dream of Blue Turtles and some older songs reinvented. The band members come from jazz backgrounds, as does Sting, and I think it gels and rocks! The music, from my perspective, is what I call fusion - rock, jazz and blues. I love this movie and the music.』

(Love Sting, Love This!)
『I really enjoyed this DVD. Great music and interesting to watch how musicians work together to get ready for a gig. Sting is one of the most talented musicians alive today!』

(Great material)
『I used to watch this video on VHS with bandmates years ago! Its good fun.』
『It's been available on audio CD since 1985 (now in anewly-remastered edition), but the long-awaited release of the DVD version ofBring on the Nightwill be a cause for celebration for fans of both Sting and the Police. Directed by Michael Apted (Coal Miner's Daughter,Gorky Park,Enough), the film observes Sting and his new band as they rehearse and then perform their first concert, in Paris. The musicians, including Branford Marsalis (sax), Kenny Kirkland (keyboards), Darryl Jones (bass), Omar Hakim (drums), and two backing vocalists, are all superb, all with strong jazz backgrounds but a good feel for rock as well; and Sting's then-new material, drawn from hisThe Dream of the Blue Turtlesalbum, is among the best of his solo career, especially "Consider Me Gone," "Children's Crusade," and the brilliant "Fortress Around Your Heart" (there are also several Police tunes, including "Roxanne" and "Message in a Bottle"). Equally compelling, surprisingly, are the insights, intended or otherwise, into the characters of the various participants. Sting himself is a bit of a stiff, frankly. Guarded, controlled, and not a little arrogant (he calls the pop music of the day "reactionary and racist"--except his, of course), he's in direct contrast to the others, especially the outspoken, irrepressible Marsalis, who's not at all shy about needling his basically humorless boss; Sting's manager, Miles Copeland, also has no problem saying exactly what he thinks. With a crisp digital transfer and remastered digital sound,Bring on the Nightis highly recommended on every level.--Sam Graham

(Fabulous! Why don't they put this out on DVD again?)
『As expected, my 2 year old can't get enough of Richard Scarry. My older four boys watched the Scarry videos when they were younger. When they outgrew them, I sold them in a garage sale. Enter baby #5, a total surprise. When I decided to re-buy these for him, I discovered they were no longer available. VHS copies are easy to come by used, but used DVDs cost a fortune. I'm buying one at a time over a period of a few months so as not to break the bank. Worth every penny, though. We don't watch television around here, but my 2 year old is spellbound every time I turn this on. He's recognizing all of his letters, too, which makes me feel better about turning this video every now and again.』

(incredibly simple, my kids love it)
『This video is very simple in production and very well done. Very simple in message with a fun storyline that will create conversation with you and the kids. Our one year old son watches this video throughout, everytime we play it.

This video is a must have for my childs library.』

(Enjoyable And Educational)
『I recently purchased the following videos: Best ABC Video, Best Counting Video, Best Learning Songs, Best Silly Stories&Songs, Best Busy People. These videos are all about 15-20 years old (release date) and I had my reservations as to whether my 3 year old would like them, as he is very stuck on his LeapFrog letter and words videos (which I also love). When I first viewed all of these, I realized that they are made with very simple animation, similar to when I was young. These videos are extremely charming and sweet. My son instantly loved them and has asked to view them repeatedly. It was nice to have a video with the actual alphabet song, as the LeapFrog letter factory does not have it. The counting video is also helpful in that it counts to 20 rather than 10 as other videos do. He enjoys the silly stories and laughs at all the videos. It is nice to know that kids can still enjoy classics such as these. I am very pleased with them. I also paid less than $1 or $2 for each of them (plus shipping). A bargain!』

(GREAT videos)
『We own 4 of the Richard Scarry "Best _____ Video[s] Ever" and they are all wonderful! Not only do my two small children (3 and 1) absolutely love them, but I feel very good about showing them. The animation is very slow-moving and simple--entertaining without being completely graphic-crazy-in-your-face like all the newer computer-animated cartoons. These movies are extremely gentle, calm and low-key and they are great at teaching the kids songs, nursery rhymes, letters and numbers. And also wonderful, they are only 20-25 minutes long, so there's no temptation to put the kids in front of the television for the length of an entire movie....and no protests at stopping a DVD midway through. I HIGHLY recommend these movies if you're looking for something your kids will love and something that steers away from the flashy, fast-moving animated movies.』

(This thing is junk but my kid loves it)
『My 33 month old loves it - it's junk, the production quality is weak, and the "story" is lame but my kid loves it. I think it was a great value given how many times he's watched it.』
『A delightful tool to help kids learn their letters,Richard Scarry's Best ABC Video Everfinds Busy Town pals Huckle and Lowly Worm discovering that it's Alphabet Day at school. Their teacher, Miss Honey, invites her students to join in a spirited rendition of "The Alphabet Song." Next comes a series of 26 vignettes developed around each letter and cleverly intertwined with Sergeant Murphy's investigation into the mystery of some stolen bananas. Simple, sweet, and as entertaining as it is instructive, this production exemplifies the great care put into the Richard Scarry video series.--Tom Keogh

『Finally finding an audience on You-tube, there is a reason this is a number one bestseller. There are DVD versions out there, just google search and you can find one. Great heartfelt story.』

(Beautiful)
『I have only just ordered this tape for my own, but I have watched the whole thing on you-tube. It's a beautiful story. Touching and heartfelt. I highly recommend seeing this.』

(Never have i seen such love displayed by "ferocious beasts".)
『In the same mold as 'Born Free', this documentary style film, to me, is much better. It's about a 3rd generation London Zoo lion named 'Christian', that acts like a human...and his eventual introduction into a life with wild lions in Africa. Much of the film centers around George Adamson, and how he forms a pride of lions out of rehabilitated, orphan cubs. Which is just amazing.
Never have i seen such love displayed by "ferocious beasts". 'Christian' is a cat like no other. He will surely touch your heart.
We found it on a $1 DVD, at Family Dollar. It's a double feature disc with another family film ('Lil'Scratch'), on the opposite side, about an orphaned bear cub. The transfer quality isn't that good, but the story makes up for it.
It has some sad scenes and shows carcasses of large mammals, so viewer discretion is advised.
A very powerful and moving experience.
***** 5 Stars. Highly recommended!』

(Absolutely beautiful true story of human-animal relationship)
『This is a documentary, filmed around 1970, the true and undoctored story of another lion that Born Free's George Adamson returned to life in the wild.

The backstory is that Christian was separated from his parents at an early age and put up for sale in a London department store. Christian's parents were zoo lions, the father came from the Rotterdam zoo and the mother from Jerusalem, and they lived at the Ilfracombe zoo. When they had cubs, the zoo sold them, and two cubs went to the department store.

Two men, Anthony Bourke and John Rendall, found him there and immediately fell in love with him and determined to buy him. They scraped together the money and brought the little lion home when he was only a few weeks old.

Tony and John dedicated themselves to giving Christian the best life they could, and the bond that developed between them is a joy to behold. Christian was a remarkable lion, obviously very intelligent and loving, and gentle to everyone, both human and animal.

As he grew, Christian began to need bigger facilities than Tony and John could provide. Thanks to a chance meeting with Bill Travers (who had starred in the movie Born Free), they hit upon the idea of sending Christian to Africa to live as a wild lion.

Bill Travers contacted George Adamson to set up the project, and came up with the idea of making a documentary movie of it all, this movie, to fund the project. The movie starts with a re-creation of when Travers was introduced to Christian. Everything from then on was filmed as it happened.

Christian is an absolute joy to watch in this movie. The love he shows, his intelligence, his joie de vie, are beautiful.

As the movie unfolds, you begin to realize that as much as George Adamson was a bridge between the worlds of humans and animals, so was Christian.

The first step when Christian arrived at George's compound, was to introduce him to Boy, a lion who had been in the movie Born Free and who George had already sent"back"to the wild, without losing his close relationship with him. Christian and Boy eventually became best friends, and within a year Christian was living as a wild lion.

When a year had passed, Tony and John came to Africa to see Christian. After a year of struggle, tragedies, and life with a pride of lions in the wild, the relationship Christian felt with Tony and John was as strong as it had always been. In fact, Christian's wonderful relationship with Tony and John caused the other lions in the pride to accept and be at peace with them as well.

This is a movie that needs a proper DVD release. That seems unlikely, so this VHS tape, taken from a 16mm print of the film, may be your one and only chance to see this beautiful, moving story.』

(This is a true story and you are there as it unfolds.)
『If you liked the book and movie Born Free and would like to see the real George Adamson in a movie, as himself, then do not miss this entertaining and touching movie filmed in Kenya. The stars of the movie Born Free became close friends with George Adamson during the making of Born Free and they returned to make this this wonderful film. This is a true story, filmed as it happened. A London born Lion bought in a department store is flown to Africa to be introduced to a life in the wild by conservationist George Adamson.

Whether you love Lions, George Adamson, Africa or just enjoy an amazing true story, this is a movie which will entertain you and touch your heart.』

(I love this movie)
『I have this movie on VHS, and I love it!! I watch it every year at Christmas time. I was not born till 1958, but I love this time era this movie is set in. If you have not had the privilege of seeing this movie, do not hesitate to purchase this to add to your movie library in your home.』

(One of my faves)
『Maybe not the best known Christmas show, but one I remember watching on TV when I was young. A good story&a peek into a time most of us only hear about in stories. A classic in my house. :)』

(Wonderfully Nostalgic!)
『This is one of my favorite Christmas movies from my childhood. It was shown annually on television for several years and I tried never to miss it. Having a copy of it on DVD is great. If you haven't seen this one, you are really missing out. It is a very "Christmasy" experience. I mean, it just has that "feel" of years past (it took place in the 40's). The little girl in the movie, Addie, lives with her Grandmother and very moody father (Jason Robards), who refused to let her have a Christmas tree because he has never gotten over the grief of losing his wife (Addie's mom) after Addie's birth. That's all I'll say for now (don't want to ruin it for you), but it is very good.』

(A gem--don't miss it.)
『There is a quiet dignity here--missing from many Christmas programs, a dignity bolstered by the superb mise en scene of a mid west Christmas in 1946, a time in America of self sufficiency, a time when the body politic did not blame the government for natural disasters or acts of God, and a time when people still presumably were able to save "six thousand dollars" on a limited income.

The domestic focus here, on a 10 year old bespectacled girl named Addie who lives with her widowed father and paternal grandmother amply demonstrates not only these characteristics but the small pleasures (which can dwarf expensive pleasures) of that day and time: of an extra quarter for the movies, sewing one's own costume for the Christmas pageant, baking cookies, buying a gift for the schoolteacher at the local pharmacy, and most importantly, erecting a Christmas tree to celebrate the birth of the Christ child.

What's refreshing here is the refusal of the script to sugar coat, and it is the undeniable sadness of a man bereft of his deceased wife, which casts a pall over the entire household that constitutes both the stories subtext and its principal conflict.

The cast is superb! The youngster playing Addie avoids the fatal cuteness that afflicts many child actors, and delineates a character of both gumption and vulnerability. Who can not smile over the way she conceals a crush on a school mate by claiming all she admires about him are his new cowboy boots? Jason Robards Jr. is just as good here as he was in a "Thousand Clowns," and his taciturnity does not prevent our more than once glimpsing into his broken heart.

And Mildred Natwick! What a treasure she was. It is her performance you may savor most of all, a woman of love and compassion, but one firmly grounded by the limitations of this life, who has that seasoning, that sense of recollection that the years bring to the best of us, and which is known as wisdom.

And a special accolade to the young actress playing the schoolteacher, who also contributes a memorable job, (and who also does the voice over during the prologue it sounds like).

The production design team does excellent work here, and is to be commended on snowy mid-Western exterior locations which beautifully match the school and domestic interiors, (with hook rugs, Eastlake settees, cabinet radios and an engraving of Millais' "The Angelus") which will bring back warm memories of all those who shared in that place and time.

This is family entertainment in the best sense--genuinely moving without an ounce of schmaltz.

(One of the Best Christmas Videos Ever Made)
『I remember watching this every Christmas on television as a kid growing up. It took me many years to find it on video, but I am so glad I did! It is one of the best Christmas programs ever made. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is as big a Christmas "fan" as I am. You will cherish this for a life time.』
『The loss of a loved one is never easy and memories often make the holiday season especially difficult. Addie (Lisa Lucas) lost her mother when she was very young and, while she sometimes yearns for her mother, she is a happy well-adjusted ten-year old who wants nothing more than to have a Christmas tree in the living room. Addie's father (Jason Robards) absolutely refuses to have a Christmas tree in the house, but offers no explanation for his stubborn resolve which leads Addie to question his motives and his love for her. It falls to Addie's Grandmother (Mildred Natwick) to explain that her father is still immersed in grief over the loss of his wife and that the memories of Christmases past are simply too painful for him to endure. When Addie wins a tree at school, her father is enraged by both the presence of the tree in his home and the idea of his family accepting charity. Only by opening a line of communication and sharing their feelings and memories with one another can Addie and her father reconcile their differences and begin to understand one another. Set in 1964, this 1972 made-for-television special feels like a stage play with sets and scenery that evoke the essence of an age-gone-by. The message, of course, is timeless. (Beautiful! ...and does its job!)
『I've had this pan for about a year now, and love it. It's sleek and beautiful and does it's job very well. I can saute some garlic, then steam spinach or green beans. The size may be a drawback for some, yet for so many uses it's been perfect for me. My favorite, made several times for a family of four, is shepherd's pie. It does its job on the stovetop, then in the oven, and on the table makes a grand presentation.

Beyond its ease of use and good looks, I especially appreciate the ease of care. I may need to soak it a bit, but very little elbow grease brings it back to looking like new. If your looking for a great quality medium-sized pan, this is it.』

(Not my Favorite Pan)
『This pan is better for serving in than for cooking. It tends to burn things easily. I have other stainless steel pans that I have no problem with. It could be that the lid lets too much steam escape, or maybe it's just too shallow.』

(I love this pan!)
『I love this pan. It is versatile and pretty enough to go directly from the stove top or oven to the table. The lid from this pan also fits the 10" skillet.』

(Nice pan but not the same quality as All Clad or other clad cookware)
『The Kitchenaid everyday pan is not nearly as thick nor of the same quality as an All Clad pan. This pan is noticeable thinner than All clad. The pan overheats relatively easily so low heat is key, however, it doesn't keep the temperature high once you stir in the food. This is probably due to the fact the aluminum core is so thin. This can be a problem if you are trying to sear food. The pan doesn't sear nearly as nice as a pan with a thick aluminum disk bottom. It's advertised as 5-ply clad but it's definitely thinner compared to other clad cookware on the market, especially All Clad.

For the best bargain and quality, I recommend Gourmet Standard. It's almost as thick as All Clad for much less and the stainless steel lids are almost twice as thick as the Kitchenaid lid, therefore more dent resistant. Plus, Gourmet Standard also made for an induction stove.

This pan is on the smaller end and will be good for cooking one to two people and at a great price.』

『Very good quality, but still a bit too small to be called an "everything" pan. Useful for the morning sunny side up but not for regular dinner servings.』
