Thankfully there are also side locks (entire lid is also on a hinge) the cats cannot open without opposable thumbs, so we're still good (had to tape down the smaller flip lids). (Best workout ever) 『I have bought this video several times over the past 20 years (for myself and others) and was looking to see if it was in DVD format yet. Yes, it's a little 80's and quite corny, but even my husband admits, he never gets a more well-rounded workout. If you can get past the atmosphere and just do the workout, you may feel better than you've ever felt in your life. Jane even looks healthier and more vibrant in this video than any of her others. Even the reviews that give it few stars liked the workout.』
(We need this one on DVD!) 『This is one of my favorite Jane Fonda workouts. It's fun, it's effective, and if you have old injuries as I do, it probably won't aggravate them in the same way a high impact class would.
First--this tape was released in 1986. That means there is 1980s fashion, 1980s hair and 1980s music. If that's enough to turn you off, move along...but know that you'll be missing a tremendously good workout.
Don't confuse low impact with low intensity. Even though there's no jumping around, you still have to work to get through this program. The choreography is complex enough to keep your attention, but easy enough to learn quickly. The class moves along at a good pace, and attention is paid to proper warmup and stretching. I also like the fact that the class includes participants of various ages and sizes--the "new guy" is comic relief, but he's also a little bit of encouragement. Jane, as always, is a wonderful instructor and motivator, infusing her comments with wry humor.
I'm glad to have found a new copy of this on VHS recently. Why isn't this out on DVD? It's too good to miss!』
(low impact workout for those who need light workout) 『This workout begins with a eight minute warmup leads into a 35 minute low impact aerobic workout ends with an additional ten minute cool down. I read all the reviews of this workout before I bought a copy and most of the reviews were favorable. This is a steady low impact workout with very little stress to the joints. The video requires optional equipment of wrist weights. I have to say this video had some corny aspects to it, in particular the "new guy". The video could have done without that it was kind of silly. Other than that the guy did not bother me to much. This not one of my favorite workouts it is an okay workout. I like to use it as a warmup to one of my other Jane Fonda Workout tapes like workout with weights, complete workout, new workout or easy going workout. I have to say if I were going to truly reccomend a low impact video that is still a challenge I would recommend the complete workout. The music and chreography is better plus you have the option of really pushing yourself.』
(Can't be exercise, it's fun!) 『Exercise has always been a dreaded word around me; until recently when I failed a stress test at 45 years old. I knew I had to do something. High impact aerobics always results in shin splints on me, so I was looking for something that would give me a good cardiovascular work-out, hold my interest, and not cause stress injuries.
This tape was heaven sent! I didn't think I'd be able to keep up with a 50 minute tape, but within a couple days I was keeping pace. I do it 5 days a week and have noticed a tremendous improvment in my pulse rate. It's a lot of fun. If you can get beyond the class clown, (which is pretty easy to do) you can find yourself dancing your way to a fit condition with a smile on your face. I recommend this tape to anyone who, like me, never thought they could actually look forward to exercise.』

Although I thought I would lose my mind with the other two stories that played over and over, I could watch the Little Bill episode everyday. Good thing, because I think we have watched it 500,000 times.
The most amazing thing about the Little Bill stories,is that Bill Cosby has brought "every child" experiences to a child that just happens to be African American. Any child can watch these and say, "Hey, that kid is just like me!" What a wonderful gift!
I dare anyone not to get choked up as Little Bill and Alice the Great sing the Christmas Star song over the phone. I also dare anyone not to cheer on Little Bill as he races to get his most important Christmas wish to Santa in time. Will Santa get to Alice the Great home in time for Christmas? Last year while pregnant with our first child I began to look for books and videos that were educational and entertaining which she could watch. So we were quite ecstatic when we came across Little Bill one Saturday morning (Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. Channel 2). Since that day we have purchased every Little Bill book (every series, there are a few) and video. We even have the Little Bill doll. Our daughter has been watching and enjoying Little Bill since she was four months old. She looks forward to Little Bill every day. Already she is familiar with the opening jazz number.
If you looking for a book/video series that is both educational and entertaining that you both can enjoy (where you don't have to worry about the content) THIS IS IT. It has something for both the child and the parent (the jazz touch is great, like Bugs Bunny with the classical music). Not too mention the familiar voices of Ruby Dee, Phylicia Rashad, Gregory Hines, etc.)
We just purchased the Merry Christmas, Little Bill video. The first one will pull at your heartstrings, the second and third are just a fun look at children and their imaginations.
Parents will find themselves wanting to watch Little Bill almost as much as the child. I agree with reviewer Karl W Berner, it is the most entertaining and delightful children's television show airing today.』

(Seems to be working) 『I purchased two of these from Woot.com (about $50 for the pair). The first few days after having them out, I had lots of little mosquito parts in the drawer (difficult to determine an exact number due to the fan cutting them up). In my area of the country (S. Carolina), we have a lot of Asian Tiger Mosquitoes that don't bother waiting until the evening to fly by and have a sip of blood. They are out all day. As I mentioned before, I had some good results initially but the last few weeks I haven't seen much beyond moths, sweat bees, yellow jackets, and the occasional mosquito. I think this is a good thing as there is a noticeable population reduction and I consider the collateral damage to also be pests.
I also own a Mosquito Magnet. It was very effective at catching and reducing the population when I lived in MN, but not so much on the mosquitoes in the South. I ran it for a couple of months in SC without a whole lot of luck (maybe 40-50 mosquitoes per month using the Lurex attractant).
I'm giving Rush four stars because one of my units burned out after a couple of days and I had to open it up and solder in a new LED (available at Radio Shack). Other than that, no complaints.』

I live in SW Florida where there are many mosquitoes, and I would have them buzzing in my ear at night. Since I've put the two of them up for a few weeks now, I've had virtually NO mosquitoes in or around my house.
It works by interrupting the mosquito life cycle. As it captures the adults, they cannot then mate or lay eggs. It doesn't work overnight, and it's not meant to. After all of the eggs in your area hatch and are depleted, there are no mosquitoes around to lay new eggs, and the impact is very noticeable.』
(Jury is still out) 『"Mosquito Catcher" as a name was an extremely bad marketing move. Your expectations are a drawer full of dead mosquitos. After watching the DVD that came with the machine, one realizes that this device does not really "catch" mosquitos, but instead grinds them up in the fan that is used to suck them in. The bits that are left fall to the ground. So to judge the effectiveness based on what's in the compartment isn't really fair.
I'm still not sure if this works. Instructions are to run for a month to fully disrupt the breeding cycle. I'll have to wait and see if the insects are less prevalent in a few weeks.』
