Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (poor quality, didn't work at all) 『I wasn't expecting much of these when I ordered them (they were just a filler for an order) but they still managed to disappoint. They didn't really pick up any fur from my cats (one is short-haired and one is a Main Coon), but what really got me is that I put them on my side table, and they melted into the finish. One glove was on the table and the other was on a book (also on the table), and both the book and the table now have permanent little marks all over them where the dots were. They were not in a warm room or anything, so there is no excuse for why this happened. My side table will never be the same again, since it appears the gloves reacted with the finish or something (and I've had this table for 7+ years, no problems...)』
(Not So Simple Solution) 『I bought this as a way to pet my cats without them knowing they were being brushed. They get nervous when I actually brush them. These gloves are basically the same ones that come with spare tire kits on SUVs. They are made for grip, not grooming cats. My cats don't mind being pet while I have the gloves on, but they don't do anything for their fur. I can pet them for several minutes and the gloves have no old dry fur in them, and thats the reason I brush them. I would have given the gloves a one star, but they are actually good for opening tough jars.』
(Worth as much as it costs, not much) 『I bought it as a "filler" for a pet order and wasn't disappointed when it picked up very little fur. The Furminator works much better (and costs 20x as much). My beagle seems to like the glove, but I think he's just in it for the tickles as no hair is released.』
(It worked ok) 『I would recommend these gloves if you have a tight budget and can't afford anything else. The actual gloves work, but they are hard to clean. My cats loved it, but it created static sometimes which startled them.』
(received in a timely manner) 『I received the product in a timely manner, without any problems. the gloves are a great way to groom older cats that are unable to do it themselves. the only problem with the product was the cleaning after grooming. it is difficult at times to quickly remove the fur from the gloves and can be messy at times.』 『The Simple Solutions Grooming Glove helps reduce shedding. It's easier and more gentle than brushing. The grooming glove is also great for use on upholstery, bedding, clothing, rugs, and carpets. Machine washable. Each package contains one pair of gloves.』
IPhone 3G used's review (This is LOVELY!!) 『I purchased something very similar to this in white at a gift store when I was away on vacation. I wanted another one since it was so pretty so I googled it and found this one. I purchased it and realized that this one is even nicer than the one I already had. The color is stunning and with a candle glowing on the inside it is just perfect. I am a massage therapist and I have this hanging in my massage room. It adds a soothing ambiance to my room. I highly recommend the star candle light for soft, beautiful lighting to a room.』 『When you need to replace the CR2032 batteries after 120 hours of use (or 30 four hour uses), avoid spending $9 per battery in your local hardware or convenience store. Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Nothing Tops This Is, If You Like SRV) 『I read somewhere once that if you really want a composite of what Stevie Ray Vaughan was all about, musically, all you need is this DVD. I totally agree. I have a half dozen SRV discs or tapes but nothing tops this.
You get two concerts, one on each disc. The first is the "controversial" 1982 concert at Montreux (in Switzerland) and the other is the 1985 return trip to Montreux. The first was "controverial" in the reception Vaughan and his band received during and immediately after the performing: booing! It is shocking to hear. I've never heard an artist booed on a disc put out for public release, but it's in here. (There were a lot of cheers, too.) Of course, the booing and catcalls were totally unwarranted. The band was excellent and Stevie was tremendous, but the crowd was expecting what they had heard all day: quiet, acoustic blues guitar. When SRV turned up the amps and did his thing, some of them didn't like it. Nonetheless, I liked it and chances are you will, too, if you are a fan of his, or simply blues/rock. What I liked best were a couple of his long, slow numbers, such as "Dirty Pool."
On that disc is a documentary, with band members Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon, discussing that '82 concert and what happened afterward. Jackson Browne also gives his take on his participation in helping out SRV and the band. It's pretty interesting.
By 1985, the crowd knew all about SRV and gave him a great reception and he put on the best show, perhaps, I have ever seen him (and the band) do - just electrifying. In fact, there are four straight numbers - Tiny Pan Alley (a.k.a. Roughest Place In Town, Look At Little Sister, Voodoo Chile and Texas Flood - that are done so well that I had tears in my eyes. That is THE best version Vaughan has ever done on the Jimi Hendrix number (Voodoo Chile) and you have to just see and hear this to believe it. SRV pulls out all the stops, doing things with a guitar I've never seen before.
Folks, it's true: this is the Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble DVD to get, above all others.』
(Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble "Live at Montreux") 『This is a true "classic" double dvd,(two disc), with two concerts of Stevie Ray, and Double Trouble performing at the Montreux Jazz Fesival. It is a masterpiece of "blues-rock" guitar work by Stevie Ray. It also contains bonus material of a documentary interviews with Chris Layton, Tommy Shannon, Jackson Browne and John Mayer.
Concert one July 17, 1982, the line-up is Stevie Ray on electric guitar and vocals, Tommy Shannon on bass and Chris Layton on the drums. (This was before they added a keyboard player). The set list consists of 8 songs, includeing the classis: "Pride and Joy", "Texas Flood", and "Love Struck Baby". The performances are outstanding, but they get "booed" off stage. However, David Bowie was in the audience and he was impressed with Stevie's guitar Skills, so he got him to play on Bowie's "Let's Dance" album of 1982.
Concert two - July 15, 1985 and the line up consists of Stevie Ray on guitar and vocals, Tommy Shannon on bass, Chris Layton on drums, and Reese Wynans on keyboards. There are also guest appearances with Johnny Copeland, also from Texas. The set list consists of 13 songs. The concert is outstanding, and the fans love it this time. Some "classic's " performed include: "Pride and Joy", "Mary had a Little Lamb", "Cold Shot" (with Johnny Copeland), "Tin Pan Alley" (with Johnny Copeland), "Look at Little Sister" (with Johnny Copeland), "Voodoo Child" and they are called out for an encore which includes "Couldn't Stand the Weather".
Concert two above shows Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble at their very best. This is a true classic 5 star concert. Stevie Ray was a guitar master, and this concert dvd shows it.
If you like great "blues-rock" guitar music, then I highly recommend this one, you won't be disappointed.』
(Bad-A**) 『Great dvd set. Two excellent shows. A must for any Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble fan.』
(Stevie Ray - Live) 『A legend in my time - rocks and thumps to a beat only he can drive home.. recommended . A great visual treat for Stevie fans....』
(Great show, not so great quality) 『This is a fantastic Stevie Ray Vaughan show which shows the true guitar skills of Stevie Ray. Any true fan will need to own this show simply to hear his masterfuil guitar shredding. The sound quality isn't great, but at a normal level of sound, it's fine. The only problem is the bass is a little off when you turn it up.』 『Studio: Sony Music Release Date: 09/14/2004』 『If you have even a passing interest in Stevie Ray Vaughan's peerless mastery of urban blues guitar, youmustownLive at Montreux 1982&1985. Spaced almost exactly three years apart, these concerts (60 and 93 minutes, respectively) represent the Texan blues god at his fiery best, with Double Trouble (drummer Chris Layton and bassist Tommy Shannon) laying the solid foundation upon which SRV built a Fender-driven sound as fierce as it was perfectly refined. The '82 show was truly "success in disguise," because despite booing from a festival audience lulled by a day of acoustic blues, and the stunned dejection that SRV felt after persevering through a uncompromising set, this was the turning point in SRV's career, leading to post-show encounters with Jackson Browne and David Bowie, who proved instrumental in bringing Stevie's music to an appreciative global audience.
When Stevie, Chris, and Tommy returned to Switzerland three years later, with organist Reese Wynans adding rich new dimension to the Double Trouble sound, the Montreux crowd was primed for a rip-snorting set, and SRV's jubilant response is a joyous thing to witness. One of SRV's favorite bluesmen, Johnny Copeland, appears for a three-song triumph in a set that's uniformly superior and ecstatically energized. Basic three-camera coverage is all you need, although guitar students--for whom this DVD is a godsend--will surely wish for more emphasis on SRV's picking and fretwork. Recording quality is superb in the Montreux tradition, with 5.1-channel remixes that surpass the original masters. A splendid 23-minute documentary features retrospective interviews with Layton, Shannon, Browne, and John Mayer, and the accompanying booklet includes a heartfelt reminiscence from Bowie. Stevie Ray may be gone, butLive at Montreuxensures that his gold-standard legacy will endure.--Jeff Shannon』

(MOST COMPREHENDIBLE KJV IN THE WORLD!!) 『Way to go when you want to know the KJV Bible. I first bought this DVD in "2005" and started from Genesis and did not skip a page and was able to stay with it all the way to Revelation. Though I still don't understand the entire bible , I comprehend over 85%more than when I was just reading the paper/hand bible. Well, a few months ago it was damaged in transit and I had to skip the effected books and chapters on the disc and read those books from my regular hand Bible. Not only was my enthusiasm diminished; comprehension decreased, and anxiety surfaced in me. So I ordered 2 new Holy Bible Complete King James Version - Old&New Testament DVD from Amazon.com where might I add the DVD was at least $12. less than where I first looked to replaced it. I saved almost $25. 00 and got FREE shipping. This is one of the BEST DEALS I EVER MADE. I LOVE THIS DVD. Thank You Steven Johnson! Thank You Amazon.com. Thank You GOD!!』

She's just starting to show an interest in dance and I wanted to test her out with a video. At the beginning they were explaining how to warm up. This was slow for her and she lost interest quickly. She simply wanted to start dancing and standing at a 'bar' doing warm ups was not her idea of a good time. Once the dancers on the video got moving, we were good to go. She danced and danced and was thrilled. She especially enjoyed the other little dancers in their outfits.』
(Boring Ballet) 『My 3-year-old is ballet crazy, but this DVD completely bored her. She left after about 5 minutes. It is so poorly produced, it looks like a bad home video - bad lighting, really boring message, etc. It moves very slowly, not much action or pacing, so it just bores the kids. Sadly, there are not a lot of other options out there, but this is not worth your money.』
(Good for little ones) 『My 4 years old niece who loves to dance, but not ready for a class yet, likes to watch this DVD and follow the basic ballet steps. This is good for kids who want to start ballet at home.』
(to the point and easy to follow) 『I grew up dancing and I really enjoyed this dvd for my 3 year old daughter. It gives some basic lessons to get the little one's started and it's explained nicely as well. I give a thumbs up to recommending this dvd.』
(Very serious) 『We were looking for something a little more fun than this video. This is a very serious ballet lesson. If that's what you are looking for, you will love it. We were looking for something a little less formal and more fun.』 『An introduction to ballet dancing for children aged four to six; includes stretches, barre work, floor combinations, and center practice. No Track Information Available Media Type:DVD Artist:BABY BALLET Title:BABY BALLET Street Release Date:08/31/2004 Domestic Genre:SPECIAL INTEREST』 『Budding ballerinas ages 4 to 6 receive a thorough introduction to ballet at the tutelage of "Miss Rosemary" Boross in this 36-minute video. The program features Rosemary Boross, a student helper, and a small class of preschool age dancers as they explore the basics of warming up at the barre, stretching, center work, dancing across the floor, and revérénce. Miss Rosemary first describes and demonstrates steps like plié, tendu, suté, chassé, and grande jeté, then leads her class through each step to the accompaniment of original piano music by Bruce Stephen Foster. Because the program covers a large variety of steps and progresses fairly quickly, it is most effective when used in conjunction with enrollment in an introductory ballet class. Alternately, young dancers may want to view the video in short segments, then follow with ample practice time to ensure the correct execution of each individual step.--Tami Horiuchi』
IPhone 3G used's review ("Definitive Collection" Is a MUCH Better Value) 『All the material on this disk plus more is contained in the three-disk Definitive Collection which at the time of this writing is in print, available on Amazon, and very inexpensive (especially through 3rd-party sellers). What the D.C. lacks is any printed material that might be included with this Anchor Bay release. Mr. Bill, BTW, seemed a lot funnier to me during his SNL run (this seems to be the general consensus), but even with hindsight, I'd probably still purchase the D.C., if only for an inexpensive trip down Memory Lane. Rating reflects the material, which I have seen, and not this particular release, which I haven't.』
(Put This on My Guilty Pleasure List) 『When they started out, the Mr. Bill shorts were a clever satire of bad childrens animation (that is, until they started taking themselves too seriously and became bad animation. See:"Mr. Bill Does Vegas.") More to the point, those two minute segments of poor, play-dough Mr. Bill getting slaughtered by Mr. Hands and Sluggo were pretty dang funny. The DVD image is fairly grainy and at some points can be quite poor. However, they still looks substantially better than the early TV broadcasts, and much better than the previous"Best of SNL: Mr. Bill"video. Among the numerous extras (games, Mr. Bill intro, Storyboards, Booklet, New Shorts, G-Rated Versions) the best is the commentary by Mr. Bill and Mr. Hands. As in the commentary on the"This is Spinal Tap"disc, it's a funny satire of the normal, boring commentary track.』
(so what) 『can't rewind a one minute film? Who cares? You DVD nerds are the worst. The menu is cute.』
(Classic hilarity, abominable DVD) 『The"Mr. Bill"short films are as bizarrely endearing as ever, but the DVD is a disaster. (Note that all the earlier reviews are for the VHS tape.)
Here's the rub: ***ALL*** scanning and skipping functions are disabled throughout the entire disc! Want to go to the next film? Don't press the skip button; it won't work. You have to go back to the tedious menu and arrow your way slowly to the episode you want. Want to back up or fast forward a little in the film you're watching? Sorry, but there's no way AT ALL to do that.
This disc is a cruel joke and should be withdrawn. It cannot be recommended at all as issued, though I found it impossible to give poor Mr. Bill only one star....』
(Classic and hilarious) 『You may feel bad laughing at the sufferings of the benevolent, upbeat Mr. Bill, but you can't help it. This is as funny as anything ever seen on SNL. Although the video is less than an hour long, it packs more laughs than some of the best comedy movies. I highly, highly recommend this.』 『One of the major breakout stars to come out of the first years ofSaturday Night Livewas not one of the original Not Ready for Prime Time Players, but was instead born from a bit of clay and the creative mind of Walter Williams.
The 18 shorts that compriseThe Best of Saturday Night Live: The Mr. Bill Collectionexemplify the humor and outrageousness that we have come to expect from Mr. Bill, Spot, Mr. Hands, and of course, Sluggo. The plots, and budget, may have been simple and at some times poorly executed, but they remain a catalyst of laughter and bring back memories of staying up late just to see what troubles would cause Bill to utter his famous phrase: "Ohh, nooo!!!" We are treated to classic Mr. Bill exploits, such as "Mr. Bill's Christmas Special," "Mr. Bill Goes to New York," and the inappropriately named "Mr. Bill Strikes Back," as well as a bonus "Public Service Announcement" relating to highway education.
Although the quality of the film is not always the best, the humor remains intact. In 50 minutes,The Best of Saturday Night Live: The Mr. Bill Collectionillustrates how he was one of the show's brightest stars, all the while keeping his unkempt, independent charm.--Zachary Lively』
IPhone 3G used's review (Handsomely mounted opeartic biopic) 『This is a highly fictionaliased and heavily sentimental portrait of the great operatic tenor .It is lavishly mounted and has many popular ingredients which all helped in making it a major commercial hit in its day.
There is the rags to riches nature of the story as Enrico Caruso rises from poverty on the back streets of Naples to becoming the darling of New York society ,overcoming the death of his mother while still a child and building a carrer in the opera houses of Europe before his US debut. There is the theme of his falling in love with a scion of New York society ,in the face of unbending parental disapproval .There are lots of popular operatic arias and a strong dose of religiosity ,with the Bach -Gounoud "Ave Marie" a particular standout ..for those with more populist taste there is a strong pop tune in "The Loveliest Night of the Year" added to the mix. Add to this the performance of Lanza at the peak of his powers and you have all the ingredients for a well received "highbrow"musical.
The movie treats of his life in a superficial way and biographical accuracy has been substituted for historical accuracy ,his real life being a great deal more dramatic than we see here on the screen .The movie for example makes no reference to his first marraige preferring instead to concentrate on his relationship with his second wife ,Dorothy Benjamin (fetchingly played by Ann Blythe)and the clash with her snobbish father (Carl Benton Reid ,giving another of his solid turns as a patrician paterfamilias -his archetypal role in movies). The rise to fame with attendant pressures are but lightly touched on.
What we do get is a sterling performance by an ideally cast Lanza at the peak of handsomeness and voacl prowess ,a fine performance from Dorothy Kirsten as a soprano who befriends Caruso ,and above all that magnificent music ,magnificently sung .It is not a great movie but it is well made ,sumptuously staged and entertaining .Read a biography if you want a detailed life of an interesting and comlex artiste -that dimension is missing from the movie』
(Mario Lanza - one of my first loves!) 『All these years later, I still love him - and the story of the great Caruso is as tender and touching as it was fifty years ago. And, pardon me, but doesn't Mario Lanza make some of our present day tenors sound thin and reedy? I may have crossed the line there, but, for me, there is nothing like the robust, full, rich voice of Mario - singing all of our favorite arias. I learned to love opera through Mario Lanza - and, like Caruso, his life was too short. The story of Caruso is interesting - his rise from singing in Italian cafes to the Metropolitan Opera. Who doesn't love a rags to riches story? If you want a trip back in time - through a timeless story - get your hands on The Great Caruso - you'll play it, as I do, again and again. We are so fortunate that so many of these wonderful early films have been preserved.』
(Overwhelming Music Sang by an Overwhelming Tenor.) 『I was a kid when this film was released and saw it with undivided attention and was instantly in love with opera music and I still are! Some time later my Grandfather bought 78 rpm disk suite of the movie score and we played interminably. So I'm a sort of addict to this movie. It was directed by Richard Thorpe, a prolific artisan with 186 films in his account. He has started directing movies in the silent period. He was very versatile, directed Johnny Weissmuller in four Tarzan's chapters. Between 1951 till 1953 he delivered at least four successful movies: "The Great Caruso" (1951), "The Prisoner of Zenda" (1952), "Ivanhoe" (1952) and "The Knights of the Round Table" (1953). He retired in 1967.
The story is quite simple it follows Caruso's (1873-1921) life since childhood, his first steps as a singer, his jump to fame, his first encounter/disencounter with NYC's opera lovers, his love crash at first sight with Ms Doro, his clashes with Doro's father, his runaway, his triumphal return and love fulfillment. Is that all? Well... no there is opera music and Mario Lanza outstanding performances. Incredible and unforgettable. Such great arias as "Vesti la Giuba" from "I Pagliacci", "E Lucevan le stelle" from "Tosca", the quartet from "Rigolleto" and more and more till the viewer has seen a full opera introduction.
Ann Blyth is delicious playing Ms Dorothy Benjamin with a very delicate touch reminding me of Audrey Hepburn at her best. Dorothy Kirsten adds her beautiful voice fleshing opera singer Louise Heggar.
Last but not least cinematography in charge of Joe Ruttenber who won four Oscar and was nominated for six more between 1939 and 1961 is luminous.
It is a great film for opera music lovers and general public. Do not miss it! Reviewed by Max Yofre. 』
(I believe that the film is great but the vhs is terrible.) 『I ordered this film vhs hoping to enjoy it. I am very dissapointed as the film must be ruined. It made all sorts of noises that you could not either hear the arias or dialogue. I'm sorry that I received a damaged film.』

IPhone 3G used's review (A Delightful Romance) 『Crazy from the Heart Can you remember when a movie "love story" involved more than tonsil hockey and/or bedroom scenes that make you feel like a voyeur? This made-for-TV movie, a delightful romantic comedy, takes us on a marvelous journey of love, personal growth, and spiritual courage.
