(My Wife Loved It)
『This brought back a lot of great memories. The DVD has a variety of concerts and videos.』

(Wonderful)
『I agree with the previous review. If only the past could be healed and Steve could rejoin Journey once again. That would be a concert sold out for years in advance! Does Journey even realize that they would have the rest of their touring days booked if they were to get back together with Steve? I would want to be there for each and every concert since I was unable to attend any when they were touring back in the day. I look forward to receiving these videos!』

(Journey's Greatest Hits DVD)
『AWESOME! This is Steve Perry at his best and every song has you singing along while he works his magic!』

(Missing Steve Perry...The Greatest DVD!)
『I never had the privilege of seeing or meeting Steve Perry or Journey. I have followed their music since Steve came to them and made them famous. And yes, despite certain people claiming that they made him, not true! He made them better, they made each other. The music became their babies and like Steve said, "He set them free, they either make it or they fall."(meaning the song they wrote) Something like that anyway. Music is this mans life and he gave up everything and we should honor him. I am telling you that this Re-mastered DVD and CD which was completed by the Legend himself is a great investment if you don't have it. I enjoy it over and over again. Thanks Steve, You did a great job! Hope to hear from your Golden Voice soon, Love You!』

(rediscover the Journey)
『video collection is a great trip down memory lane. The music and live performances evidence why Journey was one of the great arena bands of the late 70s and 80s. Treat yourself to some great music, live performances, (rather corny) videos, and fun memories. Amazon price is unbeatable.』
『It will be many years before Journey's music will be known as anything but soupy '70s arena rock and embarrassingly overwrought '80s pop. But that day will come: the songs and the playing are just too good for the scorn and ridicule to endure forever.Journey: Greatest Hits DVD 1978-1997will do little, however, to hasten the band's salvation. In fact, if it weren't such a gift to those who love the music, a case could be made for suppressing the disc's video content, so unimaginative is most of the directing and so damning is the attire (or lack thereof).

But even if sweaty guys running around in tight jeans and no underwear isn't really your thing, the disc has its treats. There's MTV nostalgia, pure and simple--"Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)," with its mimed quayside performance and strutting high-heeled model, is perhaps the quintessential "What were they thinking?" video. We also get exciting glimpses of the early band (with keyboardist Gregg Rolie passing the lead-vocal torch to newcomer Steve Perry) kicking out classics like "Feeling That Way," "Lights," and "Just the Same Way." Many of the songs feature live audio as well as video, and it's here, most notably in "Who's Crying Now" and "Stone in Love," that lead guitarist Neal Schon cuts loose with some extended licks. An unexpected pleasure is 1996's heartfelt ballad "When You Love a Woman." The guys are aging gracefully, Steve Smith's drumming is better than ever, and the video itself boasts the most tasteful production of the bunch.--Michael Mikesell

(Not quite great)
『I had enthusiastically looked forward to this live HD transmission and attended the performance at a local movie theatre. While there is much to enjoy in this version, the shortcomings left me with an overall lukewarm impression.

A big disappointment for me was the transposition of Rudolfo's famous aria, Che gelida manina, down a half step so that it peaks at a high B instead of a C. This is as good of a place as any to explain why I think transposition in a piece such as La Boheme just does not work. Puccini used an almost "through-composed" style in his operas (following the lead of Wagner), which means all of the musical moments are seamlessly attached. Key transitions, of course, are essential for the piece to come off as a unified whole. When one section is changed, as is the case here, the whole scene suffers. Even my brother, an avid Boheme fan but almost totally unschooled musically, remarked to me, "Something doesn't sound right." Of course it doesn't. It's not that I'm in love with high notes; it's the tonal flow that matters to me. What surprises me is that any conductor would go along with this common practice to accommodate the tenor. Also consider that this was a highly publicized live production seen all over the world and destined for immortality on DVD. Surely Ramon Vargas, a fine singer, could handle the higher tessitura for just one afternoon!

Another gripe is the casting of two cameo roles, Benoit and Alcindoro, with the same bass, Paul Plishka. Sure, this would be fine in any other production, but here, with close-ups galore, it just looks cheap.

Angela Gheorghiu stills delivers all her trademark vocal goods, which are nicely suited to her vulnerable and believable Mimi, but alas, her age is starting to show and the camera is not always friendly.

I was most impressed with Frenchman Ludivoc Tezier as Marcello. Ironically, in this unmistakably Italian work, he offers an authentic Parisian flair with a deep portrayal of the beloved painter.

All in all, these HD recordings are a treat, and I would not discount even this one. When I watch it, I think "If only..." So close, and yet so far.』

(An excellent La Boheme)
『This is another filming of Zeffirelli's well-known La Boheme production, but it still looks fabulous. I loved what conductor Luisotti is doing with the orchestra, and it is good to have a recording of Gheorghiu singing Mimi, while her voice is still in good shape. Ramon Vargas is a good Rodolfo and baritone Ludovic Tezier is excellent as Marcello.

Highly recommended!

(Beautiful in HD...)
『I saw this at the local cineplex in HD. These are wonderful events for those of us far from New York. We were thrilled by the performance. This is the same production (different singers) as the Pioneer DVD which has been available for a long time.

When THIS "event" is available in Blu-Ray...I'll buy it.

PS: And I already have the earlier DVD of the Zeffirelli production.』

(A BOHEME to treasure !! Is it Rodolfo's or Mimi's Boheme ?)
『Britten - Peter Grimes (The Metropolitan Opera HD Live Series)

This DVD is a recording of the performance of La Boheme at the Met on April 5/2008 which was transmitted in HD worldwide. The first night was on 3/29th with the same cast, and the reviews in NY papers and the one here by Ivy Lin were based on the the opening night performance, not the one used on this disc. I attended the opening and agree with most of Ms. Lin's observations, i.e.: Vargas ' voice being "lyric, bright, ardent" hitting
the high C in Che Gelida Manina "delicately"; Gheorghiu's aggressiveness and sluttishness, and her being out of sync in her Act1 aria. I do not agree with her claim that Vargas was too chubby and phlegmatic to be a believable Rodolfo, but I tend to agree with her comments about the Mimi. I cannot blame Ms. Lin because I myself found Ms.Gheorghiu to be trying hard to appear too romantic and taken with her man. She practically mauled him at the Cafe Momus with her exuberance. I did not attend the April 5th performance but I listened to the PBS radio broadcast and saw the moviecast of the event, and was very happy with the positive changes and improvement over the opening night performance. The excessive touching, smooching and other distractions were toned down, and the musical matters went on smoothly.

This disc has outstanding video and audio worthy of the Met's 50-yr old classic Zeffirelli production with an ideal casting of Angela Gheorghiu and Ramon Vargas in the principal roles, supported by a fine mix of veterans and newcomers to the Met. Everyone in this line up is gifted with enormous talent, rich voice and fine musicality. The conductor is a young but highly talented Italian who certainly knows his Puccini, and one who knows how to accommodate his singers' ideas without sacrificing the integrity of the music. True, he used some rubatos and expansive tempos here and there but always to enhance rather than diminish the musical and dramatic values. He supported his singers sensitively and the orchestera responded beautifully.

For some time, I was hoping the two singers would be cast together in any opera, not just Boheme, because I always believe that their voices are a perfect match in size, coloration, expressiveness and range. Plus, they possess truly beautiful voices, musical intelligence, innate musicality and elegant singing style. All of these qualities are evident on this disc. What I was not sure about was their chemistry together. Having seen the close-up of their facial expressions and subtle dramatic expressions, the total commitment and involvement throughut the opera by both artists and even split-second reactions, I do not know of any pair that could match such chemistry. Just incredible! They seem to inspire each other. Now I can understand why Gheorghiu, in Acts1&2, tried to convince everyone including the audience, her man and herself that she was REALLY in love with him. She was going to use this bit of realism to help her go through her slow death in Acts3&4 with searing intensity and poignancy. And Vargas responded with such convincing sincerity that one cannot help but feel for the unfortunate lovers.Gheorghiu has been acclaimed for her acting, in addition to her singing, throughout her career, but it's hard to tell who the better actor is of the two here.

How about the singing ? Stunning, mesmerizing, magical, heartbreaking, ethereal. Stunning was Vargas when he discarded his lyric, bright-toned Che Gelida Manina on opening night and used his burnished, dark-hued spinto of late while preserving his customary warmth and sweetness. Mesmerizing was Gheorghiu in her Act1 aria with the movement of a graceful ballerina. Magical was the expansive Soave Fanciulla with Vargas visibly stunned at the sight of the radiant, beautiful Mimi bathed in moonlight and ushering in the sweeping splendor of this music with his magnificent sound. Heartbreaking was Mimi's farewell to the love of her life. Ethereal was Vargas' "alla stagion dei fior ", ethereal as the snow flakes falling on the lovers at the end of Act3.

So, whose BOHEME is this ? Is it Mimi's or Rodolfo's ? Buy this DVD and find out. Enjoy the quest for the answer.

(One small quibble: Gheorghiu's Mimi)
『This is one of the better DVD releases of the Met's recent enormously popular live HD moviecasts. The cast sings well, the production is one of Franco Zefferelli's less tacky creations, and La Boheme remains one of the singer-proof operas. Puccini's music is so affecting that even rather average singers can make the experience moving.
Fortunately this La Boheme has assembled a cast that is far from average. I saw the production in its opening night with the same cast. I found both Vargas and Gheorghiu's voice to be a tad small for the large cavernous Met, but one cannot argue with the beauty of their voices. Gheorghiu's voice in particular has a dusky, husky, fragile sounding timbre that gives us the illusion of a consumptive. Her snow-white skin and dark black hair also adds to the appearance of someone who has been sick for quite awhile, although for my money no one was ever able to look as believably consumptive as Teresa Stratas in the earlier Met video with Jose Carreras. She has some unusual phrasing during "Si mi chiamano Mimi" -- she seems determined to take the aria at a slower pace than the conductor, and she also eschews the traditional portamenti. Vargas's voice is bright, ardent, and he's a sensitive musician. He hits the high C in "Che gelida manina" delicately and if his voice is a bit too small and lyric for the role he still always sounds beautiful. Ainhoa Arteta makes no particular impression as Musetta but she is much better than the screechy, over-the-hill Scotto in the Stratas/Carreras video.
Dramatically, this Boheme does not work as well. Ramon Vargas is another in a long line of pleasantly plump and somewhat phlegmatic Rodolfos. (Caruso, Bjoerling, Tucker, Pavarotti all were way too plump to be entirely believable as a starving poet.) But he makes Rodolfo sweet and likable, which is more crucial than looks. More problematic is Angela Gheorghiu's Mimi. Her stage persona has a certain hardness, and she makes Mimi a rather aggressive pursuer of Rodolfo. She says backstage that Mimi "is not innocent" but she goes too far in the other direction, in my opinion. The minute she enters the garret, swaying her hips knowingly and with a somewhat smug smile, you know that this Mimi probably blew out her candle on purpose to meet Rodolfo. There is no reason Mimi should be a wilting innocent flower (after all, she does supposedly run off with a rich count, and early reviews of La Boheme upbraided Puccini for celebrating loose morals), but to make her so openly seductive kind of ruins the charm of the opening scene between Rodolfo and Mimi. At its best, it suggests two young people falling in love unexpectedly. These complaints are mostly in the first two acts. By the third act, Gheorghiu's Mimi has turned believably tragic. She is less fussy, and content to let her voice and the music speak for itself. The Act 3 quartet is very affecting.
So in other words, another worthy addition to the Boheme video collection. Of the videos I have I love the Australian Opera production, and the Scotto/Pavarotti video. But as usual, Puccini's opera is the real winner. There is a reason why audiences all over the world never tire of this simple story of boy meets girl, boy loses girl. It's a perfect opera.
Note: to respond to the review above, I did attend opening night but I also watched the moviecast. This review is I guess based on a mix of my own memories of opening night AND the moviecast.』

『Franco Zeffirelli's production ofLa Bohèmeis a perennial favorite at New York's Metropolitan Opera and it retains its power in this 2008 performance. Its large-scale settings and especially an Act II set that looks as if half the 1890's Paris Latin Quarter has been beamed direct to the MET. It's been criticized as an over-the-top spectacle, but as well as bringing breath-taking realism to the stage, it's bursting with energy and directorial flair. The individuals making up the large crowds milling in front of the Café Momus each have some little stage business to do, giving the audience the feeling of participating in the onstage street festival. Zeffirelli's detailed directing even extends to the snow-filled Act III, where shadowy figures walk across the background hill in the distance while the principals are up front. While Zeffirelli's conception tends to scant the opera's intimate scenes in the theatre, on DVD those scenes make heightened impact. TV director Gary Halvorson's establishing shots show a cutaway of the bohemians' little garret precariously poised atop a sharply raked house, but he sooncuts to closeups of the playing space and the singers, creating a sense of warm interplay of personalities unavailable to the theatre audience.

The MET provides a luxurious cast to complement the sumptuous setting. Tenor Ramón Vargas is an excellent Rodolfo, singing with passion, imaginative phrasing, and coloring his beautiful lyric voice to fit the text. Mimi is Angela Gheorghiu, always a stellar singing actress. Here she sings with a sensitivity to match her Rodolfo, exquisitely coloring her voice, as in herMi chiamano Mimi, where she thins her voice at the start and then opens it out to bloom when she sings of the approach of spring. As an actress, she's best after the first Act, when she abandons the coy, girlish tics that seem out of place. In the last Act, she's profoundly moving in the death scene, as is Vargas, who is touching in his portrayal of Rodolfo's desperation and sense of loss. Baritone Ludovic Tézier's Marcello is well sung, as is soprano Ainhoa Arteta's Musetta, the latter delivering a sparklingQuando me'n vo'in the Café Momus scene. Rodolfo's pals, Oren Gradus as Colline and Quinn Kelsey as Schaunard, are excellent, and veteran bass Paul Plishka contributes some nice comic turns as Benoit and Alcindoro. --Dan Davis

La Bohèmeis an all-regions disc in 16:9 ratio. Sound options include PCM Stereo and DTS 5.1 Surround. Sung in Italian, subtitles include English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Extras include backstage interviews by Renée Fleming and a short tribute, "Zeffirelli at the Met."』

Puccini's immortal classic of love and loss, with Franco Zeffirelli's sumptuous, iconic production and Nicola Luisotti's expressive conducting. Angela Gheorghiu, the leading Puccini soprano of our time, reprises the role of Mimì, while tenor Ramón Vargas gives a sensitive reading of Rodolfo. ("Prop's Busted. . .")
『What a work of art! This is one of the best movies of all time. When the spinster missionary woman (Hepburn) must TOLERATE Mr. Arnaut (Bogart)
in their life-threatening trip down the river in a beat-up old boat, The African Queen, the fun begins. She can drum up no respect for this man--until she realizes that he is an intelligent person who may be able to save their lives by his cool wit. He good naturedly sloughs off her constant criticism, while she endures his slovenly ways and colorful language. At some point they start developing a strong like for each other. When Bogie finally shaves, well you know romantic sparks are about to fly. Movies or stories do not come any better than this.』

(Unusual for Kathryn Hepburn)
『Ms Hepburn is not the proto-feminist here which makes a change. The film actually presents a surprisingly good story. There's a man and a woman working together without any obvious female chauvinism attempting to emasculate the man or put him in the shade.

However the original book presented the romance between the returning missionary and the habitual drunk, it's an innocent love story in the movie. The booze is disposed of in the "first reel", and the two combine their talents in a more or less egalitarian symbiosis. There's quite a bit of excitement, too, as the unlikely pair shoot the rapids and fight Germans and insects.』

(Classic)
『Wife's favorite movie and brilliant in all aspects. Thoroughly enjoyable and now a part of our choice library!』

(HEROISM VS. TERRORISM)
『When his village is pillaged shortly after WW 1 outbreak, the Reverend (Morley)dies of shock, leaving only his sister (Hepburn) to fend for herself. Enter Mr. Charlie Allnut (Bogart, winning his only Oscar) the uncouth, hard drinking skipper of the "African Queen", a boat of 1890 vintage, unsafe in a swimming pool. In quick succession, Bogart saves Hepburn, motors perilously down the Congo River, evades the Germans, is saved by one storm, sunken by another, and is captured by a German warship. All the while, he and Hepburn have developed a romance, culminated by marriage just before they're about to be hanged as British spies. Miraculously, the warship strikes underwater torpedos of Bogart's sunken boat, is sunk herself, as the newlyweds swim to safety. This cursory review is intended to appeal to those under 50, as I"m afraid a modern audience would find little appeal in this production, once a real classic for most.』

(Merrily, merrily, merrily merrily - was it all a dream?)
『Keeping in mind that I watched this film on the subliminally par VHS option, I must say that "The African Queen" is a film that will bamboozle the senses, while cautiously telling the story about a daring duo in Africa. What brings questions to this film, nearly 56 years since its initial release, is not so much the characters, or the story, or the location, but the transition from 50s cinema to modern. Film studies coursework aside, one can tell the elasticity of a film by watching it again (over five decades later) and if it can continue to stretch, it has beaten through the space/film continuum. Was it enjoyed as much the first time as it was the 100th time? These are great questions to ponder as you watch another round of "Breathless", "Brief Encounter", or even "Grand Illusion" for the millionth time. Time, like age, can either be a blessing for films or a curse. "The African Queen" is a difficult one to pinpoint. On one hand it stars giants like Bogart and Hepburn direction by John Ford, while on the other hand it suffers from serious plot holes, sinking character development, and some over-burdening outside connections. I finished "The African Queen" today with bewilderment - it wasn't a disastrous film, nor was it the expected "breathtaking tour of Africa's wild side". There is power behind the working forces of "The African Queen", but they need to soon realize that the elastic is pulled to the point of no return, without releasing a DVD soon - they will a broken film with time not on its side.

If one asked who the five most important characters were in "The African Queen", it would be simple. They would be Hepburn, Bogart, Africa, Germany, and finally the boat itself (side note - none of these are in any symbolic order). These are all of the elements that we, as the viewer, are asked to be involved with throughout the course of the 104 minutes. Bogart is easy, on the eyes, ears, and soul. He embodied the surly captain with no care in the world. He was funny, captivating, and in control of every scene he was involved. Hepburn was a good counter-balance, but not that powerful of a character. She was weak when she was meant to be strong, insulting when kind, panicked when excited, and obviously had never been down rapids before in her life. Bogart had the swagger, Hepburn had the cue-cards and patented voice. They had chemistry, but more like a high school romance than a heated cinematic one. Bogart deserved the Oscar. They were great to watch on-screen, even as goofy as I thought Hepburn was, the pacing of the film and their dialogue kept me in motion. I loved what 50s cinema tried when doing a destination shoot. Africa was brought to the masses - in pre-production format. Campy cinematography deterred the faithful viewer away from the story because plastic mosquitoes and leeches were an eye-sore. It must have been amazing at the time to see Africa in its glory, now it seems forced and overwhelming. Then, let's not forget, the Germans. What good 50s film doesn't enjoy a good frolic in a wooded area without those pesky Germans lurking about? They were hams - all of them, but they brought a beginning, center, and end climax to this claustrophobic film. Finally, there was the African Queen herself, an aging professional that had more stories to tell than Ford would allow. It may save the day, bring a couple closer together, or even be a drinking buddy. Either way, these are the characters that create "The African Queen", whether you like them or not, they are with you throughout the journey.

As mentioned, the acting is bearable. The cinematography will definitely need a strong re-vamp when transferred to a DVD. The story itself keeps you seatbelted to your seat for the 104 minutes ... than why do I find myself so unfocused about my thoughts with this classic. Finicky with the characters , what juggles my mind with this film more of the overall platter than just one part of the serving. I didn't connect with the character, that's obvious, the story was fun - but at the same time seemed very dated and overwhelming. In one scene Bogart is afraid of the rapids, in the next leeches, in the next mosquitoes, but is never afraid to sleep outside without shelter. What can be irritating is that Africa really isn't all that frightening in this film, for being the major antagonist; I needed dark and seedy nights followed by blistering hot days with unbearable living conditions. Hepburn sweat, Bogart drank - that was about it. The boat itself was actually the scariest part of the film because of the cramp living area. While it did feel like the "African Queen" grew and shrunk between scenes, there was this sense of claustrophobia that couldn't be replicated in other films. There was tension, confusion, and panic on this boat, as well there should be, but it needed to be heightened. The terror level needed to go up one more notch - Bogey wasn't duct taping his windows.

Overall, "The African Queen" is a classic. There is never a reason to argue against that. It is a classic, however, that is slowly deteriorating over time. The sets are aged, the special effects are "MST3K"-able, and the acting (albeit fun) seemed cheap by the end. Set upon the background of the bestselling book by the same title, this is one of those that one should probably read prior to watching. Descriptions could mean life or death, and only the printed page will give us a true sense of emotion. I think I will add this film to my collection when it comes out, I could watch it again - but not side by side. Bogey is the character that steals the show, while Africa - in all its glory - seems to be short changed in the long run. Symbolically this film will be taught in film classes until the end of time, but for me, it seems to be loosing steam around each bend. I am not afraid to say that I got scared when rushing down the rapids or wading through the reeds, but I wasn't sold on the idea. Huston had the talent, he could have controlled his environment better. A classic yes, but will it remain that way? Guess I am back to wondering how many licks on the old Tootsie Pop for now...

Grade: **** out of *****』

『The 1951 John Huston classic, set in Africa during World War I, garnered Humphrey Bogart an Oscar for his role as a hard-drinking riverboat captain in Africa, who provides passage for a Christian missionary spinster (Katharine Hepburn). Taking an instant, mutual dislike to one another, the two endure rough waters, the presence of German soldiers, and their own bickering to finally fall into one another's arms. This is classic Huston material--part adventure, part quest--but this time with a pair of characters who'd all but given up on happiness. Bogart (a longtime collaborator with Huston on such classics asThe Maltese FalconandKey Largo) and Hepburn have never been better, and support from frequent Huston crony Robert Morley (Beat the Devil, also featuring Bogart) adds some extra dimension and color.--Tom Keogh

(Another Childhood Favorite!!!)
『As a child, I loved this episode! I still consider it my favorite Goosebumps movie! Carly Beth is sick and tired of being scared all the time by Chuck and Steve, so she decides to get even. She goes to a Novelty Shop and finds the scariest mask she's ever seen. On HALLOWEEN night, Carly and her friend, Sabrina go trick-or-treating and Sabrina notices that Carly has changed ever since she put the mask on. Later, after she gets her revenge and scares Chuck and Steve, she tries to take the mask off, but it has become her new face. Carly goes back to the store and asks the manager for help. He tells her that only the symbol of love can help take the mask off. The other masks like Carly's start to come alive and try to get Carly Beth to join them. Can Carly Betn find the symbol of love in time? If you love Goosebumps, HALLOWEEN, and masks, you'll love THE HAUNTED MASK!!!

(I always felt sorry for Carly Beth and thought she and Sabrina were hot!!!)』

(Haunted Mask ( Not Creepy ))
『When Carly scares her little brother with the mask in the hallway, in the backround there is a ghost sticker on the wall, I have that same thing. That was a weird connection between I do kind of like the movie. Not creepy, I don't find any goosebumps movie creepy, if you do, you must be a total douche! The effects are lame but it is still a nice movie, the scene with the floating heads was right on retarded! Carly Beth should've always been a geek so easy to scare! But they still made cool changes to the movie to make it real cool with a plot. I don't get if they are possessed or if they are just to warped up on the mask?

Grade: B』

(Crazy!!)
『The Haunted Mask book was crazy scary, but the movie is much creepier, because of the visual effects. The masks looked realistic, and when it was stuck to Carli Beth's face, it was really creepy. This is a really terrifying and well done movie/episode, and easily a great addition to Goosebumps fans' collections.』

(THIS MOVIE KICKS!!)
『Well, i figured it would be much eaiser to use the kids reviw-less time spent, more wrighting! A message to everyone who has not seen this movie - Your missing out on a classic. The move is about a girl named carly beth ( Wich in itself is creepy) who is allways getting picked on. Chuck and Steve, two classmates, are allways playing jokes on her, trying to scare her. Which by the way allways works. Carly Beth Wants to get eternal revenge on them for thier crule tricks, so, she goes out to find a scary mask. One day she stumbles into a novelty shop and basicly steals a mask. By the way, allthough this movie was made from smaller childeren, I found the mask scary. The artsits did a great job. It really looks real! Im a teenager and i was scared! Well, slightly anyhow. The rest of the plot developes into a halloween night of revenge and the creepy thruth about the mask at the end.

I rememeber seeing this episode when i was small, and it was hard to follow the plot twards the ending at a young age. The part when the store keeper ( wich by the way is a pretty good actor) explains how the masked got to be, didnt make sence to me untill i saw it recently, and its still a bit fuzzy. I recamend this to anyone. Unless they are like 4 and get sacred by anything like I was. However, I have never read Further than the first chapter in this book, wich is written wonderfly. I have heard that twards the end it tends to run off course a bit.

Carly Beth and her friend are pertrayed perfectly, as are Chuck, Steve, and all the other characters.

A Few Complaints:
1. The Acting is overall OK. I understand this was made for Tv and they are child actors, but they coudl have brushed up a bit. ( espacially in the scene where carly beth in studdering uncontrolably to the store keeper)
2. Just a little something that bothered me- The canadian acent. Personaly, I think the Canadian acent is an awsome acsent within itself, but in the movie it was a bit odd. Ex. " TELL CARLY BETH YOUR SORRY(SOOWREY)" in the grave yard sene, but hey it wasnt anything big!
3. The graphics are halariouse! THE PART WHEN THE HEADS ARE FLOATING IS JUST TOO MUCH! but hey it add to the feel.

Over all the message is this - YOU NEED TO OWN THIS EPIC PEICE OF ART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY REALLY DIDI A GREAT JOB ON KEEPING EVERYTHING CREEPY!!!!』

(AWSOME!)
『That movie was cool! The mask was reely creepy it was proboly the scaryest goosebumps you should watch it its #1!』
『Carly Beth is quiet and shy -- easily scared and overly trusting. She's never seen such a great Halloween mask -- really scary, really creepy, and really life-like. She has to have it -- to scare those boys who tease and humiliate her all the time! And when she does get it, the mask is every bit as weirdly spooky as she had hoped it would be. But wearing the mask seems to be causing strange things to happen to her and other people. Can the mask -- the symbol of her revenge -- be the cause of it all? What strange powers could a Halloween mask have? Unwilling to give up the mask, or to believe that it could be evil, she keeps on wearing it -- only to discover one day that she can't take the mask off. Carly Beth and the mask have become one.

(Unbelievable price)
『These bowls were unbelievably cheap - especially when teamed with other items from this grouping in the 4-for-3 promotion. The quality doesn't seem to be on par with the dinner plates that I purchased for full price elsewhere, but it's not enough to complain about.』

(Thanksgiving)
『I added this Salad Bowl/Open Vegetable to my Churchill China Thanksgiving Turkey set and am very please with this choice. This bowl added to my Thanksgiving table.』
『Featuring a flawlessly lifelike reproduction of a classic turkey painting in earth tones, this salad/open-vegetable bowl in Churchill's Thanksgiving Turkey pattern is perfect for either casual or formal holiday dining. Crafted with fine earthenware, the bowl is thoroughly inspected for impeccable perfection. The vintage turkey pattern, with its highly detailed and multi-colored plumage, verdant ferns, and floral border, is reproduced using a special transfer-printing method for exact duplication. For durability and convenience, this festive holiday bowl is microwave-and dishwasher-safe. Churchill China has been manufacturing premium dinnerware for 200 years.--Brian Olson

『I have purchased three of these. They are beautiful! One of them failed to light and I called Woods Ind. directly. She only asked for my mailing address and sent me another immediately. I didn't even have to bother with a return. Good company!!』

(Whimsical and colorful)
『These solar garden lights are a pretty addition to the daylight garden and a colorful addition at night. I only bought three. I would suggest buying more to have a greater impact.』

(Fun&Fitness In One Great DVD)
『Nothing better than a workout that is also a good time, and Brazilian Body offers that and then some. Wonderfully choreographed by Kimberly Miguel Mullen, this Dance and Be Fit offering is challenging, energizing, and beautifully produced. Done are the days of worn out workout videos that leave nothing to the imagination. This DVD brings Brazil to you, as KMM leads you on sambas through palm trees and ocean breezes, and with an excellent soundtrack that keeps you moving the entire time. If you want a workout that teaches new dance skills, raises your heart rate to receive maximum cardiovascular benefits, and leaves you rejuvenated with blissful energy, Brazilian Body will not disappoint. A must have for anyone looking for a fresh, fun, and invigorating workout.』

(It really works !!)
『Great video, it really is a great work out and the music is funky and fun.』

(Sweat to Brazilian beats!)
『This DVD is both fun and effective. It's a great way to break up the monotony of a gym workout. Although I worked up a sweat I didn't feel exhausted after doing it. I had just enough soreness the next day to know that the stretch and dance sequences did their job! I highly recommend it.』

(Makes me feel like dancing!!!!!)
『I finally found a video that makes me want to dance! I have so much fun waking up to this video. This is the first video that has not collected dust... I am so happy to wake up my body and start the day off right... thank you for the beautiful video... I am feeling and finally looking good!!!!!!』

(5 STARS FOR KIMBERLY MIGUEL MULLEN!!)
『A while back, I was shopping around for gifts for my girlfriend's birthday. She was tired of jogging as her sole means of exercise and the constant pounding of the pavement was hurting her knees and back. I found this video in one of her catalogs in the mail, ordered it, and since I gave it to her months ago, it hasn't left the DVD player! She says it's one of the best gifts I've ever given her and, because it's improved our love life, I'd have to say I agree! Not being a guy who normally watches exercise videos, I am unashamed to say that I've even participated with her as she gets her workout in our home. Kimberly Miguel Mullen's energy and enthusiasm is too infectious to watch without trying to do it yourself. In fact, I just ordered a copy for my mother, as she keeps hearing about it and wants to try! It's great for anyone, at any level, who's looking to feel better about their physical condition and may not have tons of time to devote to commuting to the gym or can't go for a run every day due to weather. Convenient, effective, and engaging--buy it for yourself and/or your loved ones!! Many kudos and thanks to Kimberly!!』

(Enhance your mood with lighting...)
『A naturally balanced light could leave you feeling as if you have been spending more time outdoors. After replacing a few light bulbs in lamps surrounding my desk, suddenly I felt more in the mood to write and my creativity started to flow better in general. Could replacing a 100W light bulb truly have such an effect?

To explore this further I read this on the back of the light:

"Natural Balanced Light originated with Chromalux. This brings an aura of purity and freshness to colors, objects and surroundings. Chromalux bathes space with that pleasing, colorful and relaxing feeling that maximizes people's sense of well-being." ~Chromalux Box

I'm happy I didn't read that before I experienced the effects because now I realize they are in fact wildly correct. This light will:

Mimic natural light
Enhance reading
Promote Well-Being

Now that I think of it, when I created most of my recipes, I was in a kitchen with
special fluorescent light bulbs that mimicked natural sunlight.

If you want to feel happy all the time indoors, could it be as simple as replacing all the light bulbs?

I'm willing to give this a try and if you have SAD or problems with depression, this could be a relatively painless and inexpensive solution.

Some of the lights are more expensive than others, but five dollars for an improved mood seemed fairly tame. The Neodymium color on the lights also makes the lighting look less yellow and is a rare earth element used in space age technology.

These light bulbs are packed especially well in their boxes so they don't move around and break, which gives me the confidence to order quite a few more. With an average life of 5,000 hours, I imagine after your initial investment, you can save a lot of money over time.

After ordering, give these three days and then see how you feel.

~The Rebecca Review』

『*Uses Neodymium glass (not coating) which filters out the yellow hue associated with incandescent bulbs *Healthier, more natural, pleasing light that simulates daylight *Shows colors more accurately with less glare * To see our full line of light bulbs, ballasts, and fixtures listed on Amazon.com, please visit us at http://lightbulbetc.com/.』
