These discs will be what you use to show off the quality of your system. Included are two full concerts (on two discs), 8 songs with a live chamber orchestra and a few extra performances exclusive to the blu-ray version. The video is a flawless 1080p and the audio is lossless DTS-HD master 5.1. The difference between the blu-ray and the DVD is beyond comparison. Much like the Planet Earth series, you really have to see (and hear) it to believe it. For Jewel fans, there is no reason not to buy this. Although the price is a bit steep (in line with most blu-rays), this one is worth every cent. You are essentially buying two full concerts and the all around quality is beyond anything you'd expect. Even if you don't like Jewel, but can appreciate well written and performed, quality music, you might want to check this one out, because the high standard of this presentation might make a fan out of you. The few songs with the orchestra are worth it alone. From what I can tell, Baby Bop is first introduced on this video. When she first appears she dances in a manner that my daughter and I were not comfortable with for a children's video. Plus Baby Bop is adult size in this video. She's as tall as Barney! Even though she's adult size, she speaks in baby talk like "Me very afraid." This was just too weird and inappropriate. My toddler granddaughter did not seem to notice any of this. (CLASSIC PEANUTS AT THEIR BEST! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!) 『Watching these Peanunts holiday specials was a yearly tradition in my house as a kid, but over the years with our busy lives we had grown not to watched them. I watched Zombie's Halloween the theatrical version of his remake of the classic and this was just what the doctor ordered for an after dinner mint! I have the original release and the DVD transfer looks fine, not much in the way of extras, but another Peanuts special 'You're not elected Charlie Brown'. I know that they have released these specials on "new improved" 2 disc set, but I'm a little tired of all this upgrading!..and I find it hard to believe they could fill another disc with extras! It's become a bit ridiculous, so I'll be sticking with the older edition and I'll be enjoying it every year!
Incidentally, The theatrical version of Zombie's Halloween is way better than the Unrated version! 3 1/2 stars! I couldn't review it because I did a review on the Unrated version some time ago and Amazon groups them all together!

(It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown) 『It was great on television avery year, it was great on VHS, and it's great on DVD. This belongs in every movie collector's collection.』
(Deeper Than We Might Think) 『This is an interesting Halloween special in that we may have to watch it a few times before we understand it. The movie starts with Linus and Lucy getting their pumpkin for Halloween. When Lucy starts to cut it up (obviously for the sake of making a Jackolantern), Linus gets upset. At the risk of sounding like a nature fanatic, Linus has his logic. As people, we cause great harm to the world around us for the sake of some brief pleasures. (If you are reading this Linus, don't think you didn't have a part in me just buying plug in light up plastic Jackolanterns.) Moving on, Linus writes a letter to his hero, the Great Pumpkin. Many people rebuke him for having this fantasy. But the reality is that Santa Clause is a fantasy as well, but it is an accepted fantasy. In short, Linus is being ridiculed and scorned because his fantasy is not the common one. Moving on, Linus chooses to spend Halloween waiting in the Pumpkin Patch for his hero. The other half of the story revolves us understanding that Charlie Brown DOES play by the rules. He gets dressed up, goes trick or treating, and then goes to the Halloween Party. BUT, he does NOT really have a good time. He only got a bag full of rocks, and Lucy and others are less than kind to Charlie. While this certainly has its sad elements, Linus does have one triumphant moment. He continues to believe in what's important to him even though it makes him the object of scorn. In a way, the message behind this is probably to be true to ourselves. It also reminds us that happiness won't always come from following the norm.』

We could only afford this treat once or twice a year, so when Thanksgiving arrived, I knew that I was in for a special treat...Charlie Brown and yellow cake with chocolate frosting and milk.yummmmmm! I didn't care much for the meal, only the dessert. (I love this movie) 『I saw this movie on TV several years ago and searched and searched for it before finding it here. I think I paid $12.00 for it. I bought one for my mother last year and paid $60.00. I think the movie is totally worth the price. It'sone of my favorite movies I have seen. I have loaned it to several people who agree with me. I doubt, since it was a made for TV movie that it is in 'bargan bins', if it was I would buy them all for fear of mine getting scratched and destroyed! I think this movie is a must see for middle school aged kids-it's a lesson, sad at times, but that is how our country was! I think it can brings an awareness and show how far many of us have come!』

The movie follows the lives of four young people, three from a white suburban family with parents out ofThe Wonder Yearsand one African American from the South. The characters are forced into one-dimensional clichés; they are their personas to the nth degree. Katie (Julia Stiles), the pretty young blond, is the lost hippie; Brian (Jerry O'Connell), the former high school football player, is the gung-ho-turned-disgruntled Vietnam solider; Michael (Josh Hamilton) exemplifies the political activist; and Emmet(Leonard Roberts), the only representative of the entire black movement of the '60s, plays first the pacifist who effects change through nonviolent means and then the Black Panther, and then he finally returns to his nonviolent ways. Yet despite the trite characters and slow beginning, the movie picks up pace as each becomes involved in his or her own story. They become strangely compelling, to the point where you are sorry when the story switches to another character because you want to see more.
An eclectic shooting style--a mixture of archival footage, seamlessly spliced with shots of the miniseries in black and white, which then becomes color--effectively places the characters in the '60s context. You can believe that these folks were at the Democratic Convention in Chicago or the Watts riots or Woodstock. Yet, sometimes a break is needed: the film is unrelenting in presenting crisis after crisis with no respite, making one wonder if there wereanyquiet, simple, or nice moments in the entire decade. The sentimental soundtrack plays continuously, helping set the appropriate tone and the frenetic atmosphere of the movie. For those who lived through the '60s, this miniseries provides a nostalgic look back at the various movements and a general feel of the time, especially with the proliferation of film clips that aren't oft repeated (we've all seen the moon landing ad nauseam, but footage of Abbie Hoffman or Dylan playing the club scene in the East Village are refreshing).
