They are a bit large for the Lodge Logic cast iron skillet handles and I would have liked them a bit more snug so they would feel more secure, not as if the skillet could slip sideways.
I gave them 4 stars because they are well made, function as well as any other handle holder I've ever had, and for the price do the job they were made to do.』

Joe Walsh is great too, though a little subdue - probably due to the rehabilitation he was newly emerging from. These two amazing guitarists play off each other perfectly and with the wonderful chemistry they used to have before the band's break-up.
Everyone else in great form, too; Henley's voice is out of this world - though I wish he would tone down the theatrical gestures and facial expressions of pretentious indifference - and Tim Schmit sings like an angel, as always! That speech from Henley, about 'how very glad he is they are all friends again' grated badly and the insincerity of this big-headed, gifted performer - I emphasize performer - is big-time CRINGE. Watch the expression on Felder's face here!
Just GET OVER IT and get on with it! We all know the real story already, even long before Felder's book; don't waste your breath and our patience, pushing your crap down our throats.

(The Next best thing to seeing him in person) 『I have to admit Paul has never been my favorite Beatle. Paul however is the last of the Beatles who wrote music. I do enjoy many songs Paul has written with the Beatles, with Wings and as a solo performer. What you have here is history. Paul McCartney and John Lennon are the two greatest composers/writers of the last century. This is a chance to see one of the Masters displaying why he is so popular and fameous. Paul opens the show with Hello, Goodbye and it just goes uphill from there. Another thing that was cool was how he ended a song with Foxy Lady, the old Jimi Hendrix tune. He does Beatles classics like Got to get you into my life and Penny Lane, among others. To me the hightlight of the show was when he did Jenny Wren and English Tea for the current album. He also closes the show with Yesterday and other big hits from the Beatles days. This is not as good as seeing him in person, but it is the next best thing.』

The edition of this DVD is not what real fans wait: not a complete concert set (again). How could anyone--especially Paul--even consider that his fans would have loved to listen to LET IT BE as barely auduble background music for trite and ultimately uselss comments! Furthermore, how could anyone on the production team have agreed to even list LET IT BE as one of the cuts on this DVD, when it is NOT included in its entire UNADULTERATED form?! Beyond this obvious GIGANTIC GAFFE, there is also the fact that at least 4 songs that probably no one has ever heard were included in the show! What about NORWEGIAN WOOD, VENUS&MARS, LET 'EM IN, BLACKBIRD, UNCLE ALBERT....and scores of more popular songs than some of the ones on this DVD.』 『The eternal fascination with all things Beatle pretty much guarantees an audience for any offering from the group and its respective members, and that will likely be the case withPaul McCartney: The Space Within US, a documentary recorded during his 2005 world tour (and broadcast in truncated form by A&E). Not that it's by any means bad. McCartney and his crack four-piece band are seen performing a variety of Fabs faves, from the delightful trifle that is "I'll Follow the Sun" to the genuine masterpiece that is "For No One" (the latter is a solo job, as are "I Will," "Yesterday," and others); as Apple computer poo-bah Steve Jobs, one of the many talking heads on hand to sing Macca's praises, points out, just hearing these classics played and sung by the guy who wrote (or co-wrote) 'em is a treat, and the great sound and high-definition video certainly don't hurt. On the minus side, the camera spends a lot of time in the audience, capturing their rapturous and often quite touching responses to the music. There are also bits focusing on a Beatles-obsessed family from Columbus, Ohio, all three generations of which are excited, to put it mildly, when Sir Paul pays them a brief visit before going onstage, and on two astronauts on board the International Space Station, for whom McCartney plays "English Tea" (from his 2005 CDChaos and Creation in the Backyard) through a live feed from his Anaheim, California gig. These tangents may be distracting to fans who just want to watch McCartney and company at work, but considering that this was dubbed "the Us Tour," they should hardly come as a surprise. Same goes for the disparate line-up of celebs and others, ranging from Bill Clinton and various academic types to Tony Bennett and Eddie Vedder, whose comments punctuate (and occasionally interrupt) the music. Bottom line: there are better McCartney concert videos (likeLive in Red Square), but this is a Beatle we're talking about here. For many, that will be more than enough.--Sam Graham

(Nice Videos, but . . .) 『These videos each have their strong points, and I've used and enjoy them both. The biggest flaw is that, as a set, they are so out of balance with each other. As other reviewers have mentioned, the A.M. video is substantially easier than the P.M., so folks who want a good workout dislike the first, and those who are a bit out of shape dislike the second.
I use the A.M. when I feel like I need something easy and gentle, and when I lapse in practicing yoga for a while, this is invariably the tape I come back to, to get me going again. (I move on to the Yoga for Energy DVD in this Gaiam/Yoga Journal series, once I loosen up again, though.)
The P.M. video just about killed me when I first tried it. However, the moment when all that vigorous stretching is finished, and you finally go into relaxation feels sooo good. (Like the old joke: "Why are you hitting yourself?""Because it feels so good when I stop!") So, I come back to this tape, when I have time in the afternoon. And I've improved enough so that the poses don't seem too difficult now, but they still push me to my limit before that golden moment of relaxation.』

(One of my favorite movies ever. Can't wait for the DVD!) 『Howard the Duck must be one of the best movies I ever saw while I was growing up. When I found out how horrible the movie did box-office wise, I thought, Okay, what went wrong? The movie takes home 4 razzies including worst picture of 1986 and George Lucas disowns the picture afterwards. Pixar Animation was founded because of this movie. That should account for something (check out IMDB.com for that). As for the DVD, on dvdverdict.com somebody interviewed director Willard Huyck and writer Gloria Katz and they were surprised when the movie wasn't available on DVD yet. Willard said they may have to talk to George Lucas to get the movie available on Region 1. If Universal ever puts it out on DVD I hope that Howard the Duck gets the special edition treatment it deserves in widescreen no doubt. Until then, I'll be waiting and the movie still rocks!』

(AN AWESOME, CLASSIC MARVEL COMIC FLICK!!!) 『This was the first Marvel Comic movie! I love it! As a child, I loved it, and I watched it a few hours ago, and I still love it! It's awesome that a duck from another world named Howard is transferred to Earth and the lead singer from the rock band Cherry Bomb named Beverly is in trouble and Howard helps her. After that, they become good friends. As Howard is stuck on Earth, he tries to get a job and scientists want to study him, so Beverly, Phil, and Dr. Jenning try to help him. Something bad happens to the machine and a Dark Overlord takes over Jenning's body. Later, Jenning takes Beverly as a hostage and Howard and Phil must save her before the Dark Overlord summons his friends and destroys all life on Earth. The special effects are awesome! The look of the film is of the classic 80's! I highly recommend it! HOWARD THE DUCK IS A NEW BREED OF HERO!!!

I first saw this movie on television many years back and later rented it on VHS. It left such an impact on me that I have been waiting and watching for it to come out on DVD ever since.
