IPhone 3G used's review (safe nostalgia) 『These lights are great - they look just like the ones you remember from your grandparents' house, but they're lightweight and conduct no heat, so they're safe. Also, no chance of shattering if you have little ones.』
(A New Day For C9 Holiday Lighting) 『In our home growing up we always had strings of C9 lights decorating our home. I've continued that tradition on my own home with limited success. The inclusion of fuses for safety purposes made holiday lighting so much of a challenge it ultimately, for this home, eliminated it. The fuses blew frequently, and were difficult to locate at the same retailers that sold the strings. Factor in the difficulties of determining which string or strings fuse blew, prying open the fuse compartment and replacing the fuse without dropping/losing it (esp. difficult in freezing weather conditions), and the ever increasing energy costs to keep them lit and it's easy to see why my home hasn't looked very festive in recent years.
Enter the new era of C9 LED lights. The answer to my prayers? Well... you might say that. I opted for the GKI/Bethlehem set over others preferring the familiar "smooth" surface of the bulbs over the "diamond cut" style offered elsewhere.
I had some concerns over the brightness the bulbs would offer so initially limited my order to one set. Once received I was satisfied enough to order two more sets. All three sets have survived the season w/o a problem, and thankfully, no blown fuses (though they do use them).
Overall I'm very satisfied with the product. The blue bulb in the string is a bit of an odd shade, pretty, but takes some time to get used to. Also I notice the visibility of the lit string in daylight is significantly less than traditional C9 sets which, for me, was a bit of a disappointment.
For novices to the product the bulbs on these strings are NOT replaceable. If and when they start to go I guess you'll just have to replace the entire string. The good news is that LED bulbs have an incredibly long lifespan, which should allow for many, many years of use especially if you only use them over the holidays. Be aware too that there are no clips on this string to attach to a tree, they can only be draped over or wrapped around objects to be displayed.
I still miss my annual routine of laying each string out on the floor, pre-testing each bulb, "flicking" them to try to kick-start them into coming on, and replacing individual bulbs as needed in my own unique color pattern, especially my personal favorite of interspersing some "twinkle" (blinking) bulbs amid the solids. But time marches on, and, given my experiences with the three sets I have and the significant energy savings, I'll accept the trade-off. I'll be price shopping for three more sets between now (Jan/08) and next holiday season. Hopefully they'll be cheaper!』
(Great as promised) 『Those LED lights looked great in my front yard trees. The plastic makes them easy to manage. LEDs are the future. 』
(These lights are awesome!) 『We adore these lights. They look just like the traditional, old-school Christmas lights you grew up with, but with a plus: they don't get hot, so they don't dry out the tree and won't burn your house down. They also use much less electricity than standard lights, so they're cheaper to run and environmentally friendly. The "bulb" is plastic, rather than glass-- so if you have adventurous toddlers and dogs, like we do, at least they won't wind up with a mouthful of glass. We just tuck the lights into the branches-- they can touch the tree because they stay cool to the touch. We're very happy with these! Try the C9's outdoors. They look great.』
(Where are the clips?) 『These lights are very bright and look like retro C7 bulbs. We love them, except for the fact that the manufacturer does not supply clips on the base for clipping the bulb to the tree. Out looking for clips now.』
IPhone 3G used's review (Every changing table needs one) 『So glad I found this for my 7 month old! Once he started fighting his diaper changes I had to find something to keep him occupied. This is perfect; just out of his reach and interesting enough to keep his attention. Sometimes he does grab at the wings on the way down- the good thing is they pop right off and he can hold them (he thinks he has something he shouldnt so its great!) and they pop right back on. Highly recommended for the changing table!』
(Baby loves it!) 『My grandchild loves this, the colors are great and she tries to touch the hanging ribbons. She was an upset child on the changing table until I turned this on, it did wonders! The price is right too!』
(Awesome mobile!) 『We purchased this mobile for our daughter a couple of months ago. She absolutely LOVES this mobile. She can't take her eyes off of it during diaper changes. The only downside is that the windup music only lasts two minutes. Also, I would love to know what song the flutterbug plays. Can't seem find that information anywhere. I even wrote to Infantino, but they never wrote back.』
(The reviews were spot on!) 『We love love love this mobile!! After reading the reviews and b/c it was a great price I decided to give it a try for the changing table. It's our little girls (7 weeks old) favorite eye candy. We have a swing, bouncer, crib mobile, playmat, board books, various rattles, etc. This is the only thing that gets her to stop crying and begin to coo and grin. She has a bit of the colic so we put her on the changing table and play it even when she doesn't need a diaper change.』
(Adorable) 『My child loves this product. I actually have it mounted on a table next to my couch and is nice visual stimulation during feedings etc.』 『This colorful mobile attaches to cribs or changing tables. With spinning wings, bright patterns, colorful ribbons and soothing tunes, even the wiggliest babies agree that this Flutter Bug is fun to watch! Winds up for more than 2 minutes of music and motion.』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (A Disappointment) 『This was truly a disappointment. I have always liked Robin Williams' movies however I did not realize the foul nature of his "humor". Not only was the language a self-contest of how many foul words could he condense within a given time period, but the humor was dry to non-existant. I really tried to finish the dvd, like a bad movie you hope to find some redemptive value in; but could not. Even my 26 year old son didn't find it humorous. Robin should stick to movies.』
(Hilarious but dirty) 『I have watched this video over and over. I don't think it will ever get old. Be ready for nonstop comedy. There is not a moment where you are not laughing. Robin Williams uses very strong language in his stand up routine however, so this may not be for the whole family. Much of his humor is sexual, hence the TV MA rating. If you like that kind of humor, you will not be disappointed.』
(Duck! Here's Robin!) 『Robin Williams is a brilliant stand-up comic, a highly original talent who gives an over-the-top, irreverent, profane, iconoclastic, hilarious performance. It's a very funny show. Williams is alone on the large stage, his only prop being a small table loaded with bottles of mineral water. He is constantly gulping and spilling water while he sweats profusely. The bottles are used at times very comedically to demonstrate various functions. Williams has a myriad of targets: the haughty French, President Bush, Osama bin Laden, the augmentation of body parts, cats staking out their territory, Viagra, the child molestation scandal involving priests, various churches and denominations, his own hairiness, etc. The list is long. His delivery is rapid-fire, frenetic, and sometimes too hectic and too harrowing. He is trying hard, sometimes working too hard for laughs, but he almost always hits a homer. It's definitely not for the kiddies or for the prudish or linguistically timid. Little is sacred. It's a very visual, animated type of humor which relies on his actions as well as his words. An audio version would not do it justice. He's crude; he's coarse, but not as wild in his use of profanity as George Carlin. He returns to certain themes and riffs with the French coming in for extra jabs. It's a broad type of almost slapstick humor that doesn't seem as satiric as just plain funny. He'll do almost anything for laughs, with the visual often topping the linguistic. Nine Lives Too Many The Daemon in Our Dreams The Rice Queen Spy Clawed Back from the Dead』
(robin williams on broadway) 『I always like Robin Williams stuff....even when his shirt is literally dripping sweat like on here!』
(Robin) 『This is one of his best stand ups. If you have not seen it you should.』 『Studio: Sony Music Release Date: 02/24/2004』 『Sharper and deeper than Robin Williams's previous road material,Live on Broadwayis a mature comedian's view of all things to do with power, prejudice, and paranoia in the 21st century. On the anthrax scare of 2001: "The Senate cleared out of their building but told the rest of us, 'Get on with your normal lives!'" On his solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict over Jerusalem: "Time share!" On the pitfalls of America's deepening alliance with Britain: "The House of Commons is like Congress with a two-drink minimum." A viewer may have to slog through Williams's tedious breast fetishism, but patience is quickly rewarded with bitchy takes on Martha Stewart facing prison, solid satire about French existentialist judges at the Olympics, and subversive op-eds about the Bush administration's inability to clarify terrorist threats to the public ("Has the CIA become the Central Intuitive Agency?").--Tom Keogh』

And then i looked standart DVD and thinked what a crap. Then later i ordered Indiana Jones and the The Kingtom of The Crystal Skull and same thing like celine dion.』 『If you were one of the handful of folks who missed Céline Dion's mega-run in Las Vegas, fear not:Céline Dion: A New Dayis a riveting, sumptuous front-row seat to the whole extravagant experience. As concert DVDs go, this is a show of a lifetime, nearly six hours featuring not only no-expenses-spared production values and every song from Dion's famed show, but priceless extras as well. Dion's substantial voice is in fine form, and sparkles on signature tunes like "A New Day Has Come," "The Power of Love," and of course the theme fromTitanic, "My Heart Will Go On" (and Dion-watchers will note that she's thankfully dialed back the breast-beating that used to accompany this song).
But as impressive as the performances are--and they include the talented gymnasts, dancers, and backup singers who work as a Cirque du Soleil-style ensemble--the set's most memorable moments are found in the personal footage and extras. Dion comes across as truly humble and approachable, with a wicked sense of humor and real compassion for her hard-working staff and her fans. There are sweet, intimate moments of Dion with her husband and son, as well as telling scenes that show her true resourcefulness (girlfriend does her own makeup!). The many docs include one on the building of her special theater and the building of the show from the ground up. "If you're going to gamble," says Dion's manager and husband, René Angélil, "Vegas is the place to do it." Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. --A.T. Hurley』

Usually ships in 24 hours IPhone 3G used's review (Not the best adaptation) 『I never saw this growing up- but Alice in wonderland was always a favorite child hood classic.
This version includes so much that Disney has left out. However the costumes are a bit cheesy even for being a childrens movie made in the 80's- and there are waay too many songs. For an all star cast I didnt recognize 80% of the actors and I expect a better performance from pros. The scene with the caterpillar was horrible. Sammy rushed through his lines way to fast "who are you I do not see...." give the girl time to get her lines in guy...
The Hallmark all star cast version was much more enjoyable』
(Highly Recommend!) 『I was 4 years old the first time I saw this version of Alice's classic when it premiered in 1985. To this day this is by far the best version I have ever seen, and believe me I've seen almost every other version out there. It's all star cast paints a wild and imaginative wonderland of backwards fun. If your child loves imagination, music, and wishes to meet brilliant new characters in Wonderland this is defiantly the version for them.』
(Alice) 『We loved this movie when it first came out. Our children never got tired of watching it. We recently decided to add the DVD version to our collection.』
(Fantastic!) 『The DVD is excellent! Took me back to childhood when it first aired on TV.』
(What a great movie better than I had remembered) 『This movie is the best Alice in Wonderland ever made it is for children as well as adults.』 『Theres never been an alice like this before! go down the rabbit hole in a dazzling version of lewis carrolls timeless tale. Studio: Sony Pictures Home Ent Release Date: 02/26/2008 Starring: Scott Baio Merv Griffin Run time: 192 minutes』 『Alice returns from Wonderland only to discover she's on the wrong side of her living room mirror at the beginning of the second half of Irwin Allen's 1985 production, with teleplay by Paul Zindel and songs by Steve Allen (the three-hour film was broken into two parts for video, the first title beingAlice in Wonderland). Before you can say "curiouser and curiouser" the jabberwocky is after her. It chases Alice back to a strange land where life appears to be one giant game of chess with pieces portrayed by the likes of Carol Channing and Harvey Korman. The 7-year-old longs to be home, but that doesn't stop her from enjoying some song and dance with Tweedledum and Tweedledee (Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme), watching a bout between the lion (Ernest Borgnine) and the unicorn (Beau Bridges), or being rescued by the White Knight (Lloyd Bridges). Despite the oddly low-tech visual effects fromStar Wars's John Dykstra--the jabberwocky is so clearly a guy in a dragon suit--this thrillingly kitschy movie ably entertains. Where else will you see Merv Griffin as a train conductor, Sally Struthers and Donna Mills catfighting with Vegas-worthy flower headdresses, and Jonathan Winters as a crabby Humpty Dumpty before the fall? Adults who fondly remember the '70s and '80s and children 4 and older should enjoy this version of the fabled tale.--Kimberly Heinrichs』

IPhone 3G used's review (GOOD FOR FANS) 『this is the best in the three part series. it follows the book almost to a "T" and the acting is splendid. if you have children who are yet too young to read, this is a great way to share the ANNE OF GREEN GABLES experience with them.』
(Childhood memories) 『I remember PBS running "Anne of Green Gables" during their fundraisers. I fell in love with the story and imagery before I was ready to delve into the book series, and once I was able to do that, I thoroughly enjoyed both. Watching this now brings back wonderful memories of lazy Saturday afternoons spent curled up on the sofa for hours. It is a great family film to be enjoyed by people of all ages.』
(Beyond Delightful, and for everyone.) 『Two things captivated me in these films. One was the incredible scope of Megan Follows' performance, as she plays Anne through three phases of her life. Simply marvelous. And second, that though the stories will appeal to all audiences, they were mainly about Anne's serious interaction with other women --her step mother, friends in school, women of the town, women at college, women where Anne goes to teach and finally even women in Europe during the war. There are plenty of strong men in the series, and wonderful actors, but these fine interesting relationships make this a top notch film in many respects. The photography was very simply gorgeous. I recommend this as top flight family entertainment, and of interest to people of all ages, really. It's a stunning portrait for a creative and imaginative woman who becomes a writer, and is a person who brings out the best in just about everyone she meets. Positive, deep, beautiful, brilliant. Enjoy with all your heart.』
(Anne of Green Gables) 『I first viewed Anne on television and fell in love with Megan. I longed for more of her story. Then I saw the second part and still wanted to see more. I bought the book and enjoyed it, but still, wanted more. At last I've seen all of the DVDs and still wanted more. I purchased Anne of Green Gables from Amazon and now have "the more at my leisure" with my cup of hot tea. Wonderful family viewing!Beautiful, breathtaking scenery. Take this trip with me!』
(Love Miss Anne (with an 'E')) 『I have loved Anne of Green Gables for years. I did not know until recently that there were 3 of these wonderful little shows. I saw them on PBS and I just had to purchase them so I could watch her all the time!』 『This gorgeous adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery's classic children's story is well worth watching with the whole family. Produced for Canadian television, it's one of those rare productions that actually sticks to the book and even enhances it through first-rate performances and an excellent script. Set on bucolic Prince Edward Island in the late 19th century,Anne of Green Gablesis the story of Anne Shirley, an imaginative and headstrong orphan. When brother and sister Marilla and Mathew Cuthbert decide to adopt an orphan boy to help Matthew work the farm, they are astonished when Anne arrives at the train station by mistake. "What use is she to us?" grumbles the gruff Marilla. "We might be of some use to her," answers Matthew, who has taken an instant liking to the talkative Anne. As Anne grows up, her adventures are both hilarious and moving. It's a delight to watch as she forms a friendship with the beautiful Diana and her admirer--the dashing Gilbert Blythe--then dyes her hair green, cracks a slate over Gilbert's head when he calls her "Carrots," and finds a sympathetic teacher who encourages her to attend college.
Richard Farnsworth is perfect as the shy and gentle bachelor Matthew, who confides to Anne that he never went courting because "I would have had to say something." Colleen Dewhurst delivers a nuanced and powerful performance as Marilla, a seemingly cold-hearted spinster whose no-nonsense exterior conceals a warm heart. And as Anne, Megan Follows strikes the perfect note, maturing from freckle-faced orphan to elegant and poised young woman.--Elisabeth Keating』

(Unimpressed) 『2.5 stars. Poitier is Poitier. I'm starting to believe his whole charm was that he looked good in sixties-styled clothing. But as far as having any depth I've only seen a glimmer of it in A raisin in the sun. The rest, well, they all seem like the same character. Really, there's no difference between this performance and that of A patch of Blue or Guess who's coming to Dinner. Plus if this was the depth of problems in the late sixties then truly it was a generation of spoiled brats. I just wasn't impressed.
』
(Why So Much ?????) 『Can anybody tell me why this DVD is so costly starting at $74.00? I know many people that would love to have a copy of "To Sir With Love" on DVD, but the steep price is a real deterrent to making that purchase.』
(Life imitates art and v.v.) 『True story here: I love this film, and when I was faced with the kind of class Mark Thackery is faced with in the film, I bought this video. On the day I showed it, the kids came in ignoring me, cursing, all attitude--their usual postures. I told them we needed a break, and that they'd be watching a video. They cheered. The movie began and they booed--everything: the soundtrack, the fashions, the teacher (especially). But... then they began to watch the story unfold (I think at the point where Thackery goes on his first tirade). Soon they were pointing out how similar they were to the kids in the class, assigning characters to specific students in my class. ("That girl is YOU, Denise, all the way!") It changed them. I'm not kidding. They saw themselves, and what they saw wasn't pretty. Girls were crying by the end of the film (which took two class periods to show, so for two days I didn't have to fight them to get them to work). My kids did not become model citizens overnight (I would later have to write carefully crafted character statements for two of them who were facing jail time), but they did begin to see me as a person worthy of respect. Whew.
Other reviewers have mentioned Poitier's incredible performance here, so I won't go on and on about him being the consumate actor. (Oh, if you haven't seen him in A Raisin in the Sun, add that to your wish list.) But I can honestly say this movie changed the behavior of a group of teenagers who had shut down, and for that I am eternally grateful.』
(HOW TO RUIN ONE'S LIFE) 『Good, not great tale of a Senior class in a London public school circa 1967. Poitier is excellent as Mark Thackeray, a first year teacher with an engineering degree, who takes on some of the toughest Dickensian type students that one can imagine. Everyone in the class is seriously deficient;no Oxford aspirants here. So, Mark literally throws away the books and attempts to teach social skills, much to the chagrin of many faculty members, too burned out or sarcastic, no longer able or willing to put up much of a fight. Inner city teachers circa 2008 please take note. The saddest commentary in the film is the further deterioration of the public schools since Lulu sang her last note. There is nary a knife to be seen, no guns, no bombs, no wanton gang atttacks. Thackeray does his best, receives a job as an engineer, then turns it down, hoping to save his little corner of the world. The romantics would think of him as a great sport. The realists, myself included, would fear that he's ru
